descriptionUnfortunately, I wasn't a HUGE fan of this one. Had the blurb mentioned the betting angle I would have passed on reading it. I just do not like grown adult men making bets between them involving screwing a woman. One, I know where it is headed from the word go and two, it's just such an immature and douchey thing to do to someone and I don't believe for a second ANYONE with an ounce of self-respect would forgive someone doing that. Let alone stay with them. And don't even get me started on her Dad's advice about stepping up to the plate! I was like; what in the hell, NO! It should have been ALL on the hero to do the chasing and groveling.

description

In any case, even though this one wasn't a complete hit with me the writing was still fantastic as was the pace. The sex scenes were hot. The plot was engaging. No OW/OM drama. And it was all wrapped up in a sweet epilogue. If you don't have an issue with grown men acting like immature bullies, then this was honestly a pretty decent read. A thumbs up from yours truly.description

This book was in ARC for an honest review.
Will is a bored billionaire, who can't Say no to a challenge. When his friend Lionel challenges him to a bet of sleeping with random female employee. In an attempt to pick the dorkiest employee Lionel chooses a name from the IT department. It turns out that he picks Jen. And Will is attracted the moment he meets her. He takes her laptop as a loaner while Jen repairs his and no wonder Jen's eyes almost pop out of her head. When Will opens the laptop he finds a very naughty and sexy story. He then plans to act out the story that he found on her laptop.
Jen is fearful when she walks into Will's office because she hasn't fixed the laptop. She then becomes stunned as she tells Will that she hasn't finished and he orders her to strip so that he can punish her. As she proceeds to question him he tells her he is going to spank her.She is both appalled and turned on at the same time. She makes a decision at that moment to submit because she is thinking of her job. And things just got dirtier and hotter from there!!These two are going great until Will realizes that he has the bet hanging over his head.Lionel has taken but that very seriously and knows all about Jen and what happened between them. So he decides to give Jen a call. Everything falls apart after this. Does Will really care for Jen? And will she believe all Lionel's lies? Will she let her guard down for the wrong guy?
I always enjoy Lucy Wild's writing. This was a great short read!! I'm not big on the betting scenario but this one worked for me.

When billionaire Will places a bet with his friends that he can have sex with any one from his office within a week, he thinks it is just another notch on his belt. That is until he has to conquer the ugly duckling girl from the IT department. But when he finally meets a Jennifer, sparks fly and this is not just an ordinary hookup. Will Jen become part of his HEA or will it be the end of the romance once she learns the truth. With great characters and a heartwarming storyline this is another must read from Lucy Wild.

This may be my fave quickie by Lucy.

It's pretty taboo and dirty and a whole lot of fun when a boss starts fooling around with his employee. I especially loved the spankings ;)

It was a little longer than her other shorts, I didn't read it in one sitting. But it packs a punch, with a healthy dose of sexy, some romance, and a touch of humor. It was told in both points of view with a happy ending. Good guilty pleasure, weekend read.

I received an arc of this.

***I voluntarily read this ARC to give an honest review*** Will was bored. He was a billionaire that had come from a poor family. With amassed fortune, he had done everything base and foul that money could buy. He was tired of the same old routine of being with women that only wanted what he could buy them. He and his no-good friends would bet on anything. His so-called friend and petty thief, Lionel, bet him he couldn't call an unknown employee and within two weeks get her to sleep with him. Per usual, he took the bet and Lionel picked the woman. The young woman was Jennifer in IT. Will went down to the basement where she worked to see what he had gotten into. She was beautiful even in her frumpy clothing. He could tell she liked him. After taking her laptop and leaving his for maintenance he saw she had a lusty side. The book she was reading was about BDSM and he called her to his office and spanked her. He wanted her and he started taking her home with him. When the two weeks were up, he lied to Lionel and paid the bet saying he didn't sleep with her. Lionel called her and told her about the bet and sent her proof. Will found out just how low his so-called friend was. A great read with smoking hot love scenes and an HEA ending.

Aww!! I am in love with this book!! This was such a sweet romantic story that will make you read it over and over again!!! Your typical Billionaire who has the world at his feet who gets swept away by a beautiful girl. When I read the synopsis of this book I was intrigued and when I started reading it, I got so fascinated and drawn in that I didn’t put down the book till I reached the end!! Lucy Wilde has come out with so many different stories, some romantic, some hot and sexy and some spine chilling but this would be one one her best work so far!!! I loved loved this one!!! 5 star ratings and both my thumbs up for this one

I really liked this one it was well written and the characters were a lot of fun with all their antics. Will and his friends are very child like making bets that are accepted no matter the outcome and this one is exciting and might just blow up in this controlling mans face, when he sees Jen she is a goddess and he is one lucky man but will she find out and do what shes told.It was full of mystery, betrayl and these two were perfection together.I voluntarily read a readers copy of this book

I binged this story in one session. I really enjoyed this Billionaire Alpha and geeky innocent. Although it's a genre that's been done a lot the characters in this one felt fresh. I LOLd a lot at the chapters from Will's POV - he's a funny guy and Jen is adorable with just enough feisty. Definitely recommend if you're looking for an easy, hot, fun read.

No one knew of the planning that had gone into building up his company, or the sacrifices he had made, but by the time Will reached 20 he was a millionaire. Now he is going through some sort of mid 30’s crisis; Will is bored with the Clubs, bored at work and bored at home. Was that the problem; was the eternal bachelor ready to settle down? When Lionel proposes a bet, involving a random woman from Will’s company, there is no way Will is backing down; it’s not his style. In the old days Will and Lionel used to bet over the most stupid things; at the time it had been funny, but not anymore, now it is utterly pointless. Nevertheless, Will intends to accept the bet just to prove a point. But who is Lionel going to pick for him; whoever she is, she will be unaware that she has been selected just so her billionaire boss can win a bet. Jen Murphy, a name Will didn’t know, is the person Lionel selects; with 30 names listed under I.T. she is the only woman and it is now time to meet her. Under a ruse of wanting his laptop repaired, Will heads to the I.T. Department. The image in Will’s head of what Jen might look like is swept aside as he stares at her; what is wrong with him, he is like a teenager lusting after a first crush. Jen takes to drowning out the constant arguing of her housemates by losing herself in daydreams. When her one and only relationship at 16-years old didn’t turn out as expected, she realises she is safer with computers and her online romance story collections. In her daydreams Jen isn’t stuttering or shy; she is submissive and in control. When Will takes Jen’s laptop he knows her secret and doubts she has shared it with anyone else; but Jen is about to get her fantasises fulfilled. Jen puts up a token resistance, a chance to see if this is some kind of bizarre test, but it is not, it is really happening. Jen wonders how someone so far down the ladder warrants Will’s attention; why would he want someone like her, it made no sense. Jen doesn’t know about the bet, she doesn’t know Will is seducing her to prove that he can. Jen is honest, pure and innocent and Will is none of those things. Will wants Jen more than anything because of her shyness and because she is naturally submissive, making him reflect on how much things have changed since meeting her; he used to think that if he had money everything would be alright, but until meeting Jen he hadn’t realised that he had replaced one stress with another. May be it wasn’t boredom he had been feeling, may be it was the fear of being alone; of cutting off so many ties that he had no one left, no true friends or family. He wants something more, something that no amount of money can buy; a connection with someone, someone real who isn’t just after his money and that is Jen. But the truth has a way of coming out and Will’s world is about to come crashing down. Lionel can do his worst and all Will can do is be ready. Jen has changed Will; he is not the same person he was before he met her and now all he wants is a chance to explain. Will Jen listen to Will or will she walk away from him? An excellent storyline that I enjoyed reading and would have no hesitation in recommending. A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.

Reading is my relaxation and escape. I have just recently discovered Lucy Wild and absolutely love her books.

Pick Up is a love story that started as a bet between Will and Lionel, an acquaintance that he could not bed a random woman that was employed at Will's company. The random woman chosen was Jennifer Murphy an IT Tech.
Well the interaction between Will and Jennifer was immediately so much more than a bet could possibly cover. There were immediate fireworks!

After the time had passed, as set down in the bet, Lionel confronted Will but will simply wrote a check telling Lionel he had lost the bet but Lionel knew better.
Lionel being a vindictive person decided to tell Jen but twisted the details, therefore breaking her heart.

This book is indeed a must read. I loved the interaction between all the characters except Lionel and he got what he deserved!
Will and Jenn had a rocky road for a while but in the end all worked out for the better.
I was disappointed that Will didn't put a rock on her finger but it was still an HEA

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary ARC of this book.

Hm...I didn't really like this one I'm afraid. About the only good thing about it was Jen, the heroine.

Jen is an IT whiz, working for company run by a billionaire whom she's never met. When he calls her and demands she fix his laptop, she has no idea he'll be the one she falls for, be like the hot guys she reads about in erotic BDSM novels. Of course, there's a catch. He's made a bet with some of his sleazy friends that he has to sleep with the random woman his friends pick from their company directory.

What follows is a rushed, not well-developed story where she falls into insta love after receiving some sexy spankings, and being ordered around by him. On his part, he feels like she's changed him, but of course he doesn't tell her about the bet. No, that's left to the sleazy friends to tell her. You can guess where it goes after that.

I wanted more from Pick Up. More relationship development. More emotional connection. Just more. And I didn't get it, so I was left feeling very unsatisfied.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This book would've been 5 stars for me but what ruined it was when the couple breaks up towards the end the H just lets her go and only calls her one time. I'm sorry but I like my men to have balls and I want them to fight for their women not have the woman come to them. Will Bailey is the rich, successful CEO of Bailey Incorporated, he made his first million by the age of twenty. He wasn't born rich, no he started working fifteen hour days when he was sixteen to be able to save money. When him and his friends were younger they would bet each other crazy shit for huge sums. One night when him and his friends are at an exclusive sex club he's ignoring all the gorgeous half-naked women. His friend, Lionel asks what's going on and Will tells him he's bored with the women at the club. Lionel is a prick and he makes a bet with Will - He has two weeks to screw one of his employees of Lionel's choosing. The next day Lionel comes to his office and Will gives him a list of female employees and their phone numbers. Not knowing anything else about these women Lionel picks the only female in the IT Department. Jen Murphy has worked at Bailey Inc for a while now and she's the only woman in the IT Department. She has no clue who Will is when he comes to her department in the basement and asks her to fix his laptop. It takes Will a lot less than two weeks to fuck Jen but he finds himself going back again and again for more. What will happen if Jen ever finds out the truth ?

I received this book willingly from the author. I enjoyed reading this book.

The dynamic between Will and his friends, other billionaires is very competitive. They had formed a betting group, where they would bet each other to do crazy things and normally the wager was only a pound. However, Will has been acting distant lately so his friends decided to up their game and bet him on something more substantial. They bet him that he can't randomly call someone from his company director and bed them within a 2 week period. Will accepts this bet. Game on.

Then we have Jen, who works in Will's company's IT department. Will's vision of her, being in IT, is a very lowly, nerdy, woman with coke bottle glasses and greasy hair. When he goes down to the IT department with his laptop with the mysterious problem, he's shocked!

The level of chemistry between these 2 is palpable. I feel bad for Jen though, because she has very little experience when it comes to men and relationships.

This was a good read and I enjoy reading Ms. Wild's writing style.

Will has poured everything into building his company, so now he is a billionaire and wants more out of life. He is bored at the clubs and with random hookups, he wants a challenge. When his friend makes a bet to pick a woman at random in Will's company, can Will seduce her in the short time he has?

Jen is a computer nerd and works in IT, so when she received a phone call about a laptop needing fixed, it was no biggie. She asked the caller to bring it down to her. But when she comes face to face with the handsome stranger, she has no idea what she is in for. Their chemistry cannot be denied and Jen wants to act on her feelings and doesn't want to deny Will anything. But will Jen learn of the bet and stay with Will? Will their encounter last more than a night of passion?

This is a good quick read of a quirky meet-cute with love, lust, romance, lots of chemistry, hot steamy sex scenes and a HEA. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is my favorite Wild Quickie, so far.

What started as a bet between friends leads us down a twisty turny path that involves spanking, some steamy hot sex, a personal introspection, a betrayal, a 2 million dollar satisfaction, and a very happy ending. It took me about an hour to read but as I was engrossed in the story and didn't really pay attention to the time. The author really made the main characters jump off the pages. I loved Will and how he was quick to realize what Jen meant to him and how he handled the bet. Lionel was a great spoiled little rich boy. Even though the story is told from both view points, the peek into Will's perspective brings the depth of feeling that makes this story so worth while.

I would definitely recommend reading this short little steamy story.

I loved the latest from Lucy Wild! When Will finds his life boring him he knows he wants to make a change, just wasn't sure what he wanted to change. With women throwing themselves at him, or maybe it was his money, the thrill in picking them up is gone. Enter a friend with a bet to change things up. When Lionel throws down the parameters of the bet, that he gets to pick a woman out of Will's employee directory and he has 2 weeks to seal the deal, Will thinks nothing of it. Until he officially meets the woman, Jen Murphy. Jen works in IT and is used to flying under the radar of most guys, enter Will. What starts as a bet for him ends up being the thing he was searching for, but when the truth comes out he will have his work cut out for himself. A quick steamy read that involves a billionaire, a bet, and an IT geek. Will is a bored billionaire and is looking for something more, his one night stands don’t appeal to him as before. His friends are irritated by his behaviour so they make a bet with him, hoping to get him out of his funk. Unfortunately or fortunately the bet involves an IT geek, Jen, who also happens to capture his interest and he is now regretting the bet as it may very well come between them.
A great steamy quick read, perfect for a break in the day or a nighttime read with some drama but not over the top. A read about a billionaire who finally finds the one he is searching for and a woman who is not only smart but is beautiful. They find each other because of a bet and almost lose each other because of it but ends with a great HEA that will leave you smiling.

Another great book by Lucy Wild. Pick up is a steamy read with hot scenes and and great story line.

Will is a man who always gets what he wants and wants a challenge. The kind of women he goes out with only want him for one thing and he is bored. So his friend makes him a bet. A bet on a woman. A bet which could destroy his heart.

Jennifer works in the IT department of Will company and has a crush on Will. She also has a kinky side. When she gets approached by Will and he makes her an offer she can’t say no to. When the secrets come to life, will she choose to put her heart and future on the line or protect it?
