Concerning the Nature of Excorcism and Sanctification Through the Harmony of the Universe Enacted Upon the Candidate By the Movement from Darkness to Light
___________

The following introduction to the initiation in the Hall of Dual Manifestation, also called the Hall of Two Truths, the Hall of Maat, will take a fittingly dual perspective. By understanding the general, and what is in the broadest and a very vague sense an Eleusinian rite, polarities of darkness and light as means of illustrating the conscious awakening or re-awakening of the human being to its ontological nature through a clarification of mission the introduction will prepare the reader for seeing this analysis of ritual in the correct way. While such a preface is not stipulatory, it is functional, especially in regards to the composite form the initiation is in.

ABOUT THIS
“Yoga of the West” is an old name scholars gave to Kabbalah and western forms of mysticism as a general classification among certain schools. Given the popularity of such forms of spirituality today it makes sense for a series like this to emphasize the uniformity and universal value of differing cultural spiritual modalities, including religious vogues as seen in the endless vicissitudes of mainstream churches and religions. Many in the west seek mystical release, ecstatic practical spirituality without abandoning their familiar western culture. Esotericism and the western mystery tradition has suffered arguably more liminality than many eastern schools. Whilst alchemy developed in Arabic culture however, and Kabbalah in the Hebrew, Christianity throughout much of its existence has struggled with its own mystical core. This series then brings back to the light from the darkness the esoteric magic, paganism & alchemy of the western mystery tradition for anyone called to this difficult path of human transformation.

Interesting insights for the Novice and Adept

This book presupposes a moderate understanding of the concepts and initiatory rites of the Golden Dawn system of magic. It has interesting triggers for certain aspects such as the nature of the abyss of darkness and the facets of wild darkness. It closes with a useful admonition to seek an experienced teacher. One believes this book could be expanded to cover more fully the complete 0=0 initiation of the G.D., and also provide better references for the texts used.
