This story reaches out and grabs you and it won't let you go, neither will it leave you dissappoointed. Liam and Kennedy truly love one another but misunderstanding and cruel comments from Liam's own father keep them apart. Finally truckloads in a night of divine passion and their love goes super nova. Nothing can stop them now.

Oh my word, this book slayed me! It starts out with Liam and Kennedy as teens, starcrossed would-be lovers who don't have a chance in the world of being allowed to be together. Their angst amid their chemistry is palpable, yet in an instant you can see where it all started to go wrong. Liam, whose fighter name is Thunder, is fighting a host of demons that no young man should have to face, and it blinds him to the truth about Kennedy's feelings. Kennedy tries to read the truth in Liam's eyes, but she's equally lost and misinterprets both his words and actions. Stuck in the middle is Colin, Liam's brother and rival who also happens to be Kennedy's friend and confidant.

Just when you think things can't get any more complicated between the two, we're jumping to the present day and -- holy cow! -- what a mess this is now! And when you're sure things are completely beyond repair, a quick little flashback gives you hope - wonderful, joyous hope - but can it really be true? If so, how can the author explain all the other events that would seem to destroy that truth? This is a true roller-coaster ride as Liam and Kennedy find the inner strength to risk their hearts and bare their souls to each other, finally finding the truth that was there all along.

The writing here is phenomenal! How this author packs all the emotions and events of a huge novel into a compact novella is beyond me, but it's quite a feat and brilliantly done! Not a word, not a glance is wasted and even though it took me barely an hour to read it felt like I'd read a marathon epic romance when I was done. It was emotionally heartbreaking at times, but ultimately victorious with a HEA that will bring tears of joy. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Liam (Thunder) and Kennedy have been surrounded by misunderstandings and lost moments their whole lives. After Liam’s injury, he’s at a loss without his MMA career. Coming back home and seeing Kennedy with his brother was not high on his list. Even more shocking is Kennedy’s secret.
I was so frustrated the whole time I was reading this story, wanting Liam and Kennedy to come out and clear the air. I had to read from beginning to end as fast as I could to find outcome of their “relationship”. This is definitely 5 stars!

This is the first book that I've read by him but it most certainly won't be the last! I like his writing style with is fast paced and passionate. He is succinct and clever using powerful words to help enhance the imagination to bring Liam, aka Thunder, and Kennedy to life so that they are 3-dimensional. A real page turner that once he caught my imagination at page 1 I was hooked to the very end. It is a story where untold desires and miscommunication keep two people that really belong together for so long. But it can't go on forever and when Thunder and Kennedy finally do get together he's not going to let anyone or anything pull them apart. Passionate and loving all wrapped up in a great storyline.
I urge you to read this book as I was really impressed with carter's writing and am certainly going to read more by him.
So much so, that I bought my own copy of this book as it is one that I will be re-reading again and again!

Good love story full of angst and misunderstandings. Liam is an MMA fighter, on leave due to injury. Kennedy is the friend in his life that he wants more with but can't as she wants his brother and he has been taught by his dad that he isn't worthy of love, so they can only ever be friends. Kennedy was madly in love with her best friend, Thunder. But when he made comments to her ,not knowing she loved him, she thought he didn’t feel the same way. After a night Kennedy and Thunder share and a misunderstanding Thunder leaves Kennedy and Collin behind. An in injury brings Thunder back home and seeing Kennedy with Collin brings the beast out, but he determined that he will get Kennedy one way or another. The chemistry between Kennedy and Liam is unmistakable and when everything is all figured out Kennedy and Liam are able to get the HEA they have always wanted with one another.

Beautifully written, with a good storyline and great characters. I highly recommend.

I loved this MMA romance! Liam has always wanted Kennedy, and she's always wanted him, but tongues were tied, feelings withheld, and as a result, mistakes were made. I really loved how this story was written - Liam's feelings of not being good enough, Kennedy afraid to admit her feelings, the hidden thoughts and secrets, and Colin, Liam's brother, and Kennedy's friend, who never knew how to be the brother Liam needed him to be. There were so many facets to their situation that kept me guessing. The twists and turns their story took were filled with emotion and angst, and all of it made this a truly fabulous read!

The storyline to this book had a lot of detail and a lot of description in it... I always like a good MMA book I don't know why I like these books with romance and them but they just make for a better book... I guess because it shows more dominance... The characters in the book has a lot of personality in them... I'm going to let my friends know all about this book...

A fast-paced, sensual, throwing caution to the wind chances galore romance!
This down and dirty, friendships, families, and fights novella by Carter Blake is uniquely written, a captivating heartbreaking yet keeps you wanting more tale I loved! The whirlwind mad ride of Liam (Thunder) and Kenndey is a non-stop freight train of feels!
This high impact story is one; I highly suggest checking out for yourself!

This is a quick read, but there is so much story in this novella. I liked that there were flashbacks to when Kennedy and Liam were younger - how they felt for each other as teenagers. Then we read about them in the present day, but as adults they seem to dance around their feelings. They both not only over analyse their own feelings but the others as well.
I love Carter's stories, and this book is certainly one of his best.

Thunderstruck by Carter Blake is such a good read. Very well written book that offers very likable characters and an engaging storyline filled with complexities. This book is an emotional minefield of repressed feelings and denied hearts. I love Liam and Kennedy together. They share such deep love, attraction and passion. Book is full of passion, drama, romance and heartache. An entertaining and enjoyable read. I am posting an honest review after reading an ARC copy of this book.

**I received this ARC in exchange for an honest voluntary review** Loved this story! Liam aka Thunder has always held close feelings for his best friend Kennedy since they were kids. And the feeling is mutual with Kennedy. However, Liam sees red whenever his brother is involved & deems himself unworthy of Kennedy. Though one night will be the turning point for them both. Love how the story shifts with the flashbacks to Kennedy & Liam's teen years. Fast paced, a bit of mystery & a whole lot of angst. Definitely needed a tissue during this one. Would recommend!

A great short and quick read with a great storyline that flows smoothly. Liam and Kennedy are wonderful characters who have had feelings for each other since they were teens. But too many things got in the way. Can they now trust enough in their feelings to give their love a second chance? It's a roller coaster ride you don't want to miss!

Frustratingly delicious

The book has all of the ingredients needed to create an absolute perfect story. The characters are wonderfully built with just enough back stories to understand them, the plot is frustratingly delicious and the whole thing from start to finish is just panty melting. I finish reading it about half an hour ago and I’m still fanning myself. One-click it today!

Fantastic story

This is the first time I have read one of Carter Blakes books but it will not be the last. I love it! I was on the edge of my seat and loving every minute of the twists and turns. I couldn't wait to find out what happened next. The characters are well developed and the story flows so well. Lots of chemistry between the main characters. I highly recommend this book.

This is a story of everlasting love. Liam (Thunder) didn't feel worthy of Kennedy's love. All Kennedy wanted was him, but instances, people and circumstances got in the way. Now they have to find a way to be open and honest with one another to find thier HEA. The characters are believable and the story flows from page to page.

Chance wrote one heck of a good story. Kennedy and Liam have known each other their entire life and been in love with each other the same length of time. I am a sucker for MMA or hockey romance stories, so this was a must for me. It’s a short, quick read that had me hooked from the very first page. Liam and Kennedy have trouble communicating their feelings for one another. It leads to a huge misunderstanding. I would recommend this book if you are looking for an evening read before bed.
