TO HELL AND BACK AGAIN

After her first real lesson in demonic cruelty, Moira Aurelia needs answers–and Severus craves revenge.

The only creature who can give them both is Diriel, who, having failed his mission, has fled back to Hell until the heat dies down.

Battered but not broken, Moira is ready to charge into the pit, fears be damned, because she trusts the incubus by her side–trusts him, cares for him, maybe even loves him. Severus, however, can’t stand the thought of leading his little hybrid into the abyss. Because in Hell, there isn’t just fire and brimstone and tortured human souls awaiting them, but his family, too.

And for Severus, there is no greater hell than family.

Liz is a Canadian author who grew up in the Middle East. She has a degree in Bioarchaeology from Western University, and when she isn't writing about her own snarky characters, she is reading about other people’s snarky characters, babying her herb garden, loitering on social media, or taking care of her furbabies.

Liz dabbles in both paranormal and contemporary erotic romance. Her paranormals are usually dark and angsty, and her contemporaries are stress-free smutfests, but you'll find both riddled with feels. Most of all, she loves writing realistic characters in fantastical settings.

5 - "Well then... I guess we're going to hell." Stars!

Book three of Liz Meldon’s The Hunt series literally takes up where its predecessor ended. Can’t lie I was still in a little bit of shock over how Prey finished, that I started Stalker with my heart in my mouth and a lump in my throat.

Thankfully, Liz lightened things up a little bit in this one again, with some great character additions, and banter between them. As my tag line implies Severus and Moira literally end up in Hell in this one, looking for Diriel, the Demon that played such a large part in the previous book, and answers to questions they have that only he knows the truth about.

He still managed to look breath-taking horns and all…

Moira especially gets some of the answers they are looking for during their adventures down-below but new ones are also raised as well. The depth of connection and feelings between her and Severus grow as they spend more time in each others company, and she begins to start to move on from her experiences at Diriel’s hand, whilst his prisoner.

"Don’t let go of me…"

"Never."

I have to wait a whole month for the conclusion of this series now, with Killer due to release at the end of June, and once again we are left on a stonking cliffy! I know I shouldn’t be bitching let’s face it you have to wait years for some authors to release consecutive books in some series, but I can’t help it. This series is the best Liz has written so far, I’m excited to see how she wraps it up, and because of that I don’t want to wait a day, let alone a month, thank God it’s not years!

Always looking after her-from the very beginning.

This series just keeps getting better and better. After the last book I couldn’t wait to see what happened next for Moira and Severus and this story didn’t disappoint me at all. We are introduced to Malachi who is Severus’s brother and even though they are demons they have family issues just like everyone else. I loved these moments between the brothers and happy to have him apart of the gang as well. I’m also loving that Ella, Moira’s best friend is along for the journey as well.

Throughout this story we get a lot of questions answered but some new questions arise and I can’t wait to see how everything has unfolded. And that ending! How could you end the book like that on me Liz Meldon?! I will be counting down the days for the next book! If you are a seasoned Paranormal reader like me or a newbie I highly recommend this series! It’s has angels, demons, sexy times, angst and comedy. You get a little bit of everything and you can’t go wrong!

I. LOVED. STALKER. I think Stalker is probably my favorite novel in this series.

We get to see an all new side to Severus, his family. We've known Moira's family from the beginning, that being her best friend, but we've always kind of been in the dark about Severus's. We knew he had a family and that they didn't necessarily get along, but we had never met anyone other than his cousin.

Stalker takes us into a new realm in The Hunt series, and we begin to see a lot of our questions being answered. Stalker is fast paced and a whirlwind adventure that you do not want to miss out on.

Stalker was interesting. After reading Prey, I had a lot of questions. This book answered some and gave me more. Most of my questions for this book deal with Severus’ family. For example, how was his mother and brother both the same kind of demon but him and his father are totally different kinds. How did Severus end up being an Incubus demon, one of the lowest of the low, yet no one else in his family is one...

There were also a few parts that felt a bit expected or even overdone but it was ok. It didn’t take too much away from the story. I’m interested in seeing how the fourth book goes to conclude this story. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

• Business first: I received an ARC for an honest review •

This is a PNR book: demons and angels. Throw in some witches and vamps as background characters... This series is 18+ for EXPLICIT language, smut (it’s not vanilla), and intense violence.

I give this book 5 stars but maybe it’s 4.75 only because there wasn’t as much smut in this story BUT it’s for a good reason, and a book slut like myself craves good sex scenes and Liz writes amazing ones. I just missed them.

Also this review kinda wrote itself and somehow I started at the end of the book and wrote to the beginning... sorry. Disclaimer I write unconventional reviews.

Here we go —

WTF Moira! My reaction at the end of the book. She said exactly what Severus would never want to hear EVER from her. And then being the demon that he is he leaves and gets in a really bad situation. Malachi, Severus’s brother calls Moira out the most sarcastic way possible and I loved it. But Severus is not in a good situation right now.

Speaking of Malachi, he’s a an arrogant chaos demon and Severus’s older brother. They have a very tumultuous past but he proves himself worthy while they are in Hell. He’s rather hysterical and a great edition to the cast of characters. I found myself drawn to him and genuinely cares for him immediately.

Severus and Moira do goto Hell to find Diriel and obtain info about Moira’s angel sire. There’s a major confrontation that was not planned for but pretty badass nonetheless and we meet Asmodeus, an angel that fell with Lucifer. I like Asmodeus, he gets shit done.

Much of the first half of the book is Moira and Severus trying to work out their feelings pertaining to what happened to Moira at the end of Prey, book 2 of the Hunt. Ella is brought into the fold and moves in with Moira at the beginning of the book as well.

The best thing besides Severus being full on demon and torturing Diriel’s associates is Malachi and Ella. I ship them hard. They are funny together. One of my favorite lines in the book is:

“He just needs to learn about personal space —“ “So you stab him?!” Ella and Moira talking about Malachi, chapter 12.

Read books 1 and 2 you won’t be disappointed. I recommend this series if you like great writing, a well thought out story, PNR, and cliffhangers. The series will compete in book 4, Killer.

'To Hell and back again.' That one line perfectly sums up this third addition to The Hunt series. Their search for answers, and maybe even a bit of justice, takes Moira and Severus to the depths of Hell, both literally and figuratively.

We see a bit of soul searching as this pair get to each other better and start to examine their feelings beyond the physical attraction. Of course, there's plenty of the physical too, and I was impressed with the depth of feeling in those scenes. More than just steamy, they're positively sensual.

While the story is high on introspection, that doesn't slow down the pace and the action keeps coming. The hunt for Diriel leads to the one place Severus doesn't want to go - Home With that comes some backstory for the sexy incubus, which explains so many things about him.

I can't talk about Stalker without commenting on Liz Meldon's Hell. It's not the fire and brimstone place we all think of. Like so many other things about this series, it's wonderfully descriptive and completely original. From the rain to the suburbs - yes, suburbs, it's brilliantly done and written so well that I could see it. We also get some new characters to enjoy and hope to see more of. Malachi! I absolutely love Malachi. I'm still not sure which side he's on, but he's a terrific addition to this story.

To sum it up, Liz Meldon has outdone herself with this one and this series just keeps getting better and better. I would advise heeding the series note. This is a continuing story and should be read in order to fully enjoy these wonderful characters and their world and true to form, the author gives us a heart-stopping, oh no, she didn't just do that, cliffy to ponder while waiting for the conclusion.

Once more this author has done it again. Just when I thought I couldn’t love this series even more. This author completely blows me away with another spellbinding installment of this incredible series! Honestly this series just keeps getting better and better with each chapter in Moira and Severus’s journey. The third installment of the Hunt series is definitely more action packed than the previous books.
In addition, this book also gives an insight and glimpse into the demon world as Moira and Severus venture into Hell. But one of the things that I really enjoyed about this book was discovering and understanding more of Severus’s past. Since the beginning of the series, Severus had always been a bit of an elusive character. So it was interesting to see what how this past and background had shaped him into the person he’s now. Not to mention, the supporting cast of characters were so funny and lovable. I can’t wait to see how their journey will unfold.
I also loved seeing the growth in the relationship between Moira and Severus since the first book. The moments between these characters made this story even more enjoyable and heartfelt. Overall, Stalker was an enjoyable read to left me begging for more of Moira and Severus’s story. Trust me, this is one series you don’t want to miss!

I have said it before and I will probably say it again. I am amazed at Liz Meldon’s world building. I think paranormal and fantasy books are unique because anything can happen (even sparkly vampires). With other genres such as contemporary or even mafia, the reader has a point of reference that lets them relate to the book immediately. They can immediately imagine a mafioso wearing a three piece suit, toting a gun walking the streets of Manhattan. With paranormal, the setting of the story is only limited by the writer’s imagination. However, the writer has to be able to make a person imagine demons, angels, witches, faes and vampires. Easier said than done.

With this new book, Liz expanded on the world she built in the first two stories. She did it in the best way possible which is...

To bring us to hell.

Seriously.

I freaking love hell. I love the suspense, the danger and the sense of star crossed lovers (he’s a demon and she’s a half breed angel.). I adore the secondary characters. Malachi and Ella better end up together!!! (Liz, you hear me? I will rage and rage if that doesn’t happen.) I can’t wait for the next book and the conclusion of this series.

There are three things I can say with certainty about Stalker. One is that the words “go to hell” definitely take on a new meaning. The second is that it seems that the “good guys” aren’t necessarily the ones with wings and halos. The third is that there is, in my opinion, as subtle reminder that the way one appears to be on the surface isn’t necessarily how that individual really is.

In book 3, Moira and Severus literally go to hell to track down the demon Moira’s father paid to kill her. Hell, as depicted in Stalker is definitely unique. Equating entering and exiting hell to arriving and departing through customs presents the reader with an analogy that most people can relate too. There are surprises for both Moira and Severus when they arrive. For Moira the surprises are the things she sees and events she is exposed to. For Severus the surprises are the changes in how things were when he left and how things are, and appear to be, on his return.

As is was with book 2, I am anxiously awaiting the next chapter in a story I’m not sure I want to see end.

Incubus Severus craves revenge after rescuing Moira from demon Diriel and has been busy torturing demons to find out where Diriel has gone into hiding. Turns out Diriel is Hell. Yes. That Hell. Angel-human hybrid Moira Aurelia needs answers and insists on going to Hell with Severus, no matter how much Severus tries to dissuade her not to. Moira tells Severus "If you're going, I'm going." Moira's search for the truth proves to be more dangerous than expected and when she reads her mother's diary, Moira fears for the safety of those around her. Moira plans to distance herself from everyone to keep them safe but is it too late? Note: this story ends on a cliffhanger.

Liz Meldon delivers another action-packed, suspenseful and steamy story that's a page turner. I can't wait to read Killer, Book 4 of The Hunt series, to find out what happens next.

I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book

REALLY HOT STUFF!!!
This is one awesome read. Liz has hit another one out of the park with this one. I know great, right? You have all the hard hitting, fast paced, pulse racing, adrenaline pumping, heart pounding, suspense that has us sitting on a razors edge as we follow these great characters along on their journey. Yes, the characters and scenes are so realistic with such graphic detailed descriptions that will totally blow you away. You have all the rollercoaster of emotions that will captivate and hold your attention from the start until the last word. A word of advice though, when you grab your copy of this page turning, nailbiting, thrilling ride, grab a snack, a drink, kick back and relax. You'll be hard pressed to put this bad boy down. Great job Liz, thanks for sharing this little jewel with us.

I love Liz Meldon’s novels and really enjoyed Predator and Prey, the first two books of her The Hunt series, so it’s no surprise that I was delighted to get my hands on Book of the series, Stalker. This book is, quite simply, superb and definitely recommended. It had just what I wanted and was well written and with a great plot and great cast of characters. I frankly adore Moira Aurelia and love watching her take on all comers. I love her relationship with Severus, and rest of the cast of characters is pretty amazing as well. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises - the book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, it is easy to highly recommend.

The best of the series thus far! Angels, demons, hybrids, battles, family drama, relationship drama... oh and sexy time was all sorts of 🔥🔥🔥. So good. Also, I’m totally rooting for Moira and Severus but there’s a blossoming romance that I hope the author expands on in the final book or maybe does a spin off series for!

This is the third book in the series and it started where the last one ended. My heart is still racing after reading the ending. There was another cliffhanger and I don't know if I can wait a month to find out what happens. Severus actually goes to Hell with Moira in tow. The descriptions of it were so interesting and believable. There's a lot going on with this one - lots of action and emotions. I was totally sucked in to this story and read it in one sitting because I couldn't put it down. I don't want to say more because I don't want to give anything away. Just know this is a continuing of one Hell of a fantastic series.

👍Up to Liz Meldon . I think I found another favorite Author. This bundle had me so engrossed it literally only took me a few days to read. Moira and Severus are such a great couple. They had tears in my eyes a lot through these books with the struggles they went through with the angels and demons. It just boggled my mind that Moira's dad wanted her dead so had Diriel a demon try to kill her.I will definitely recommend this bundle to everyone and anyone I know.I can't wait to review more books for you Liz Meldon in the very near future. They definitely do not give enough stars to give you that you deserve. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟.

I have no nails left!! The description of the entrance to hell was so brilliant and almost believable. Liz Meldon has the most creative and vivid imagination which makes her a brilliant author for the paranormal genre. This book had me captivated as usual. It contains all the elements for a great read; romance, suspense, erotica, action coupled with colourful, vivid descriptions that takes you on the journey with the characters. I cannot wait for the final instalment. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book for an honest review.

I AM FLIPPING THE FLIP OUT AT THIS ENTIRE THING

I really adored this installment. It had everything I could have ever asked for in a romance series - action, adventure, romance galore, and so much STEAM. Moira and Severus are simply the best and I love that they indulge equally in the sexy and the mushy. It just makes them that much more endearing and now I AM DYING knowing I have to wait a month for the last book!!!

DAMN YOU LIZ MELDON YOU HAVE KNOCKED MY HEART TO ROMANCE HELL AND BACK ONCE MORE AND I ALREADY KNOW I WILL LET YOU DO IT AGAIN IN 30 DAYS WITH PLEASURE.

I am absolutely loving The Hunt series. Liz Meldon has written am amazing, complex storyline with lovable characters and an intriguing plotline.

Moira and Severus are funny, compelling, angry and multifaceted. The progression of their relationship is heartwarming and the lengths they are both willing to go to, to save the other is inspirational.

The introduction of more characters helps to build the story and the search for Moira's father drags them all deeper into danger.

I loved the cliffhanger and can't wait for book 4.

And another book where the ending completely blows the rest of the story right out of the water. It’s not a sharp turn in the direction of the story, but it’s definitely a detour I wasn’t expecting. The whole book is an epic tale, as Moira and Severus brave Hell to find answers and justice. And while they get some of both, they also get a world of trouble that they weren’t prepared for. At the end of each of the previous books I was anxious to read the next, but this one has left me absolutely rabid, dying to find out how it all turns out.

I am volunteering to leave a review of this ARC book. The third installment of Moira and Severus. In order to find out information about Moira's father, she and Severus have to take a trip to Hell! The descriotions in Liz's books, make you feel like you are there. Almost sensing what the characters sense. This, is one amazing romance series from an amazing author. This reader is going to have an extremely hard time waiting for the final installment at the end of June!

The characters are developed, likable or hateful, have amazing chemistry and are so engaging that the reader relates.
