“Jesus Calling 50 Devotions for Encouragement” is exactly what I found it to be…encouraging! Though this book may be small in size, it is filled with God’s encouraging words that will certainly speak to your heart. When I first started reading this to review, I thought I would randomly read through it, but found myself reading page after page. I didn’t realize just how much my heart needed these words. Now I will go back and read it prayerfully with my Bible open by my side.
This book shows us how to take those little trials that have become monumental in our lives and let God work his miracle of love and compassion in our hearts. If you or someone you know needs encouragement this would be an excellent devotion. One of the devotions I was particularly drawn to is…Your Needs and My Riches are a perfect fit. Scripture…And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ. Philippians 4:19. I had been struggling with letting God take care of a situation for me and even though I have read this scripture many times, the commentary that went with it caused it to really resonate in my heart. I know that God has my back in this situation.
The book is hard cover and small so it is easy to tuck into a purse, briefcase or backpack. It has an attached ribbon marker to easily mark your place. The illustrations and color give a feeling of peace.

March 17, 2018Jesus Calling 50 Devotions for Encouragement is an inspirational read that is sure to lift your spirits and encourage you to achieve your goals. Throughout this beautiful book, you will find Scripture and reflection. The cover is hardback and has a lovely dove with wings spread across the cover. The inside has gorgeous pictures along with passage that is sure to lift your spirits.
