Chaos is terrible for business. Want to become filthy rich off classified government contracts? Stay far, far away from turmoil. One touch, and you're out.
I never courted chaos.
She came to my doorstep anyway.
Her name? Annabel Forester. Her goal? Upend everything.
She’s an irresistible disaster, as gorgeous as she is unpredictable. One day here, gone the next. I can’t trust her. I certainly can’t be with her. Getting caught with Annabel by my side will put my business on the line.
But it’s too late. I’m addicted to her wild energy, to the curves that set my mind aflame. I’ll do anything to make her mine.

Undone was one of those books which I have no idea what to do with. Sure I enjoyed it. Sure I flew through it. But did I love it? Gushed over it? Gave it a second thought after finishing it? Not really.
The story is told through two perspectives: Anabel’s and Beau’s. Anabel is a girl that never settles down; she is always running away from things, responsibilities and situations. Beau is the complete opposite. He is a rock; stable, strong and always there whenever you need him. He is the most responsible person you’ll ever find. So, when these two collide you can only imagine the attraction, cause opposites attract, right?
Even though I liked both characters, I didn’t particularly enjoy the way they were written. I felt like there was no depth to them, no substance. All there was to their character was their main characteristics: Anabel’s escapism and Beau’s sense of responsibility. I wanted them to be a little more fleshed out, I wanted to see more of them. The book being extremely short did not help either.
In fact this need for more detail is not limited to the characters. The whole of the story felt like it was sort of rushed. It had so much potential and unfortunately so many things were left unexplored.
Anyway, Undone is a very fast-paced, quick read, perfect for the summer holidays. I flew through it and read it in almost one sitting! And it’s one of the few books in which I liked the insta-love (!). I know, don’t ask me, I have no idea what happened to me, but it was not the least bit annoying or over the top. Ok maybe a little bit annoying and over the top because it is insta-love but you know what I mean.
If I were to come up with one line to describe this novel I’d say:
500 Days of Summer with a happily ever after!
I received this e-ARC via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
You know how I always say that I don't like insta-love romance books?!? Well, Undone: A City Rich Novel is one of those. However, I did enjoy it. I KNOW, I know, I'm such a hypocrite! But after reading a terrible book I really needed a super quick and easy read to enjoy. This was that book. I liked it. Then I loved it. So, as of right now I will slowly start to accept more insta-love stories in my life.
I'd like to thank Amelia Wilde for introducing Annabel and Beau into my life. I loved them from the first moment I met them. Then I was instantaneously shipping the hell out of them when he first saved her from being run down by a bike messenger! ALSO, how the hell could she have gotten hit by the bike guy?! Couldn't he have swerved away from her? I'm so confused but then again I have never seen a bike messenger in my entire life so maybe he was only going one way and that way only. People be damned!
Anyways, I loved these two even though they had weird lives before they met. Beau had weird friends and everything and Annabel just had a mom who moved around a lot. There wasn't any sort of mystery, twists, or turns that had you on the edge of your seat. No, it was just a simple romance book. It was a very quick read - it maybe took me an hour.. or less?
I liked it enough that I will definitely be looking forward to the next book in this series.
Loved this story! Two people that are total opposite and should have nothing in common fall in love. Kind of reminded me of 'Darma and Greg' in that sense. Really enjoyed all the characters. I voluntarily read an advance reader copy for my honest review.
**ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review**
Opposites do attract in Undone by Amelia Wilde, the first in her City Rich series. A cute, fast paced, breath of fresh air quality romance that once you pick up you won’t be able to put down. Amelia has delivered likable characters filled with appropriate steam and descriptive scenes to entice you until the very end.
Annabel leaves before situations turn bad. Her mother has always taught her once you hit the “sweet spot” in life, to leave before the heartache hits. Her job, dating, etc. she lives a carefree living mentality. Until she runs into mysterious, handsome Beau and now he’s all she can think about. Is it time to pack her bags?
Beau can’t get the beauty out of his mind. He sees a different quality in Annabel that calls to him. How can her carefree spirit work with his dominant, business like personality?
The connection between the two is a slow build which was powerful in its own unique way. I liked how Ms. Wilde didn’t have the rich business man try and change the female in her story. These two characters stayed true to themselves; I really liked the rawness of that.
This is a divine beginning to her City Rich series and I am yearning to find out what Ms. Wilde concocts next.
There is nothing more fun than to read a romance where the guy is totally turned upside down by the girl. A constant romantic, I think it's fun to watch how crazy love can make people. Beau was this power type guy who really didn't have time for anyone. But when he sees Annabel that power fizzles a little and he is totally knocked off his game. The chemistry between these two characters is instant and it is easy to see them as real people. This is the first book by this author I have read. The interplay between the two characters is what really solidified my love for this story. The plot moves along at a great pace and I found myself zoning out the rest of the world as I read. This was a quick read. I started before going to bed and was able to finish it over breakfast. I will certainly look out for the chance to read more.
Undone by Amelia Wilde a sublime four-star read. This was total case of judging a book by its cover, and I am so glad I did, it intrigued me and looked like it was worth a chance and it was a very real opportunity. This story was great, there is so much up and down and when I picked it up I struggled to put it down. Beau as a character was someone that made me wonder, he was such a strong man and yet he did something strong men don’t do. I don’t want to tell you the story as it’s so much more powerful than the blurb shows. Annabel as a character is someone who you can see develop from page one to the last, she blossoms as the pages turn and becomes a character that’s so much stronger than she or I imagine. Well done Amelia Wilde on a story well told.
Undone is a quick read, but one I didn’t want to end. Now on to the story itself.
Annabelle has always done what she pleases. Leaves a job when things get good, does a relationship the same. I guess it’s a good way to avoid failure or heartache. But she finds herself working on the set of a play and runs into a very handsome man who happens to save from an accident. He’s mysterious, gorgeous and she can’t get him out her mind. For mystery man, it is the same, all he thinks about is her. And so, their story starts slowly and builds.
Annabelle was what I’d call a wanderer, she never stays in one place for too long. It’s how she raised, so I don’t blame her at all. It’s all she has known growing up, when ever her mother decided it was time, they packed up and were on their way somewhere new. Annabelle was a good spirited woman and i really wanted more for her. Beau was so opposite of Annabelle, but so perfect for her. He was pretty set in his ways, business oriented and kinda dominant. I wouLd expect him to be though given his success. He sees something in Annabelle though, and he can’t stay away. The side characters played their roles well, some just wanted to cause drama of course. But what’s a romance without a little drama….
I’m not one for insta-love majority of the time, but if it done well I can deal with it. These two have thus instant connection which I did feel and enjoyed. It wasn’t perfect by any means. They never tried to change the other, they just were. And watching their time together, the sensual moments and the little arguments they had. Even the big fights too, it was such a fun ride. The old saying, “opposites attact” certainly rang true in Annabelle and Beau’s story.
Undone is a great romance with wonderful characters and just enough steam. Fans of contemporary romances will enjoy this one for sure.
A cute love at first sight read. I love Annabel's free spirit. She isn't afraid to just let go and go with the flow. The changes she has with Beau are amazing. I love the connection between them. Undone is an amazing quick read. I didn't want to put this one down. It drew me in from the start. Amelia Wilde did a wonderful job with this one.
This was my first book I read of Amelia’s a while back. It’s definitely a romance story, more like ‘insta love’ as the term we use now and I didn’t think I was going to be a fan but I was.
Annabel and Beau live different lives but love has a way of glueing people together even when their lives don’t match.
If you love romance, no terrible twists or turns then you will enjoy this . Your heart will thank you. A beautiful story.
"An utterly gripping story about trust, commitment and...love. And Yes I devour it in one sitting."
"I received a complimentary copy of this book and have volunteered to leave a review."
My first thought after I finished Undone is "Why I haven't met Amelia Wilde's work earlier?" This is very unsettling but I already know the answer. While I have started reading and reviewing books for the last 4 years for different authors I am hardly well informed for every single author's work out there; even if I follow many of them in social media. I'm not antisocial for some reason; I just don't have quality time to be social. However, my mighty lately lost lucky charm got me to see a post from Amelia Wilde in Twitter about her upcoming release on January. The cover is a balm for sore eyes and the title too intriguing to be ignored. So here I am, few hours after I finish it, putting my thoughts into words, showing how captivating this story is.
When Annabel Forester learns from a very young age to leave a place behind and move on when the time is right, she doesn't have in mind a very simple detail. Trust to commit on something or somebody. Free spirit with a huge heart, Annabel is the type of woman who has rules and limits, avoiding everything would let her heart being broken. Until a mystery man saves her life from being into a cyclist's path. The chemistry between them is instant and the affair that's starting to birth became more intense and intimate fast. The only thing missing to make this last is trusting her instincts and heart, instead of running that is her only option.
Beau Bennett is a powerful, wealthy man who interacts with powerful, wealthy men like him. His business are his first priority and commitment is what he is looking for from the people around him. Saving Annabel from been cyclined to death cost him his sanity and control. Her power to brighten his mood pulls him like the moth to a flame and that is his downfall. Beau is incredible put together, over the head thoughtful about everything considering his life, so it is a sight to watch his uneasiness when it comes to Annabel. My heart broken into pieces for them, and then glue again with the most sweet, most fabulous way possible for a happy ending..
What a captivating storyline!! What an utterly amazing characters! The secondary characters while important they have the right amount of presence, which is not often. I love the plot! It remind me fifty shades with the cyclist incident but that is the only similarity. Beau isn't Christian and thank God for that! Annabel's character intrigued me so much; it is an unfamiliar territory for me to leave when things go down so I wanted to see where the story will lead me. And how amazingly beautiful the storyline unfolds! Between Annabel's and Beau's narrations, it felt easy to connect and love them for what they are. It felt easy because while reading it was like I was there with them listening their thoughts and fears. Amelia Wilde's well writing style provide me that feeling and I feel extremely happy to have the chance to read one of her books; The very first book for 2018!
Happy New Year!!
I hope I intrigue your imagination and make you grab the book, finding out what's really happening because there is no way to tell you myself.
Until next time, enjoy your free time reading great books with the most unforgettable stories.
*I received this book from NetGalley, in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own!*
Undone was a very quick and enjoyable read, I'm not going to lie. But, it lacked the authenticity that would've boosted it to the top for me. It got repetitive at times and even though I found myself swooning over Annabel and Beau's romance, nothing happened to actually blow my mind. Which is wrong to expect from a New Adult novel because, truth be told, I haven't read one that I immensely enjoyed and absolutely fell in love with in a very long time. It didn't blow my mind and it definitely did not feel original. But, overall, reading it was a very pleasant experience. Nothing wrong with that.
Annabel was a very headstrong main character and I really enjoyed getting to know her through the pages of this book. I really think we would've been great friends, if we'd actually met in real life. We can say that, she's a wandering spirit who doesn't stay in one place for long and just leaves before things have a chance to fall apart. Which isn't my preferred way of living life but, it's what she's known since the beginning of hers. Her mother's style has influenced hers greatly but, what she did not expect was being saved by a ''Mystery Man'' and falling hopelessly in love with him.
Beau is such the typical combination of attractive and arrogant, which is pretty common in NA novels. Not a bad thing though, just to be clear. He's just your usual macho male, who falls in love with Annabel and wants to make her his. He's never felt such attraction to anyone in the past but, her wandering nature isn't the easiest to deal with. Especially when work and responsibilities put even more pressure on him and their relationship. There is this pure, unadulterated passion that you can actually feel in every single page of the book and the love between them is obvious but, will it be enough to salvage their bond?
Annabel and Beau had great chemistry from the very beginning and there's just one word to describe their romance. Instantaneous. So, I wouldn't recommend this if you're not a fan of the good, old cliche of insta-love. It's one of my guilty pleasures and a cliche I actually enjoy coming across every once in a while so, I had no problem with it. It gets a bit repetitive at times which, I've already mentioned but, it is quite enjoyable. The writing was great and I really liked the way things progressed. Nothing exciting or unpredictable happened which was sort of a bummer but, that's okay. It definitely didn't prevent me from enjoying the story itself so, that wasn't really a problem.
The secondary characters were okay, nothing amazing or worth talking about here. I felt like their romance overshadowed everything else and not enough attention was given to their friends and families. But, it's quite obvious from the beginning that, this book is all about the swoon worthy romance of Annabel and Beau so, don't expect to get a backstory on everyone else. The plot is focused on them, their relationship and what happens when it comes close to falling apart.
Overall, Undone was a great read that I'd definitely recommend to fans of the genre! It's very swoon worthy and fast paced so, if you're looking for a quick and easy read, this is the right one for you!
I received an ARC from the author for my voluntary and honest review.
Undone was an emotionally rich, smart, witty, eye-opening and oh so sexy romance. And it's only the first in the City Rich series! Annabel and Beau meet under chaotic circumstances. Each of their lives is in a state of change also. She just lost her job and found a temporary one 5 minutes later. Beau is in the midst of making a business deal that will land him millions of dollars (he's already a billionaire) but he's not happy deep down inside. Annabel grew up with a mom who could not settle down in one place. Once she graduated from high school she wanted to go to college. Her mom left for new adventures once she got that high school diploma in her hand. Annabel learned from an early age that once you love someone and get attached, they leave. It's quite heartbreaking!
Beau and Annabel are attracted to each other from the moment their eyes meet but they're complete opposites. They can't help it, though, and give in to the attraction. Beau instantly falls in love with her but also doesn't want to make her settle down. He doesn't want to change her spirit.
He gives her a suite to stay in while she's working as the seamstress for a play that is set to take place in his hotel (The Pearl). Their relationship takes place over a two week time frame. During this time, Annabel makes Beau have fun and Beau gives her anything she wants to make her happy. She begins yearning for a home life if it includes Beau.
But Beau's business, an ex-girlfriend who is still part of his group of friends from college who also thinks she can have Beau back, and Annabel's issues with her heart possibly being broken and knowing that her time is also coming up present obstacles for that happily ever after. There's a big blow up all due to fears and the reluctance to listen. Will they survive and be happy again? They are definitely just shells of themselves when they're not together.
Undone is wonderfully written. Amelia writes likeable characters with emotions, conversations, and settings that grab you unexpectedly. You're not free until "The End" and even then you think about the wonderful moments for hours after you're done.
Don't miss out on the first story of this series. I can't wait to read the next story!
I have read quite a few of Ms. Wilde's books. I am a sucker for both her insta- love and her slow burn stories. I have adored her billionaire series and her single dad series and I know I can always count on her for a HEA. Undone was different from her usual style. There was definitely an instant connection, possible even love at first sight. The characters had chemistry and I liked the opposites attract angle. But I felt as if the plot was missing large pieces.
Annabel Forrester lives almost a transient lifestyle. She hops from job to job, and has spent time in multiple cities across the continental U.S. Her mother did the same to her when she was a child, so she is used to leaving behind friends, jobs, homes and more and gets nervous when there is a chance she will get locked into something. Until she meets Beau.
Beau Bennett is rich, handsome and comes from an upper class British family. He is completely dedicated to his work- even the super secret stuff he does on the side. But he has always made time for his friends from boarding school. Romance, though, has never been high on his priority list. But when he saves the girl with the pink hair from a speeding bicyclist, his heart is lost.
The two become instantly smitten and do not wish to be apart. His work and friendships suffer. She questions her whole lifestyle. And inevitably troubles arise. But can they make the necessary changes to how they have lived in the past, in order to have a future together?
Definitely a nice, quick read. But I wished there was just more. More of their background. More development of the plot. More explanation of the interaction between the main and supporting characters. More conversation between the two main characters. I was definitely happy to see that all ended well, though.
Undone has really pushed all the buttons on my heart, taken me through all the emotions. For me, Amelia Wilde hit her stride in this story. Undone is captivating, heartwarming, and has two wonderfully endearing characters you can’t help but love.
Annabel Forester is so relatable. She is spontaneous, funny, feisty, and upfront. Though outward appearance shows a smart, young woman with optimism and confidence, behind this thin veneer Annabel hides her vulnerability by guarding her heart from disappointment. Thanks to her nomadic existence as a child, courtesy of good old mom, Annabel’s default is to bail out right before the “sweet spot.” That point before all good things go sour. She just never expected to run into a man that would change everything. A man that makes her want to set down roots, once and for all, and take a chance at love.
Beau Bennett is cautious, controlled, and driven by his multibillion-dollar conglomerate business. So much at stake, it’s no wonder his workaholic life leaves him very little time to enjoy and smile about anything. Not until he meets Annabel. The attraction between them is irresistible and sexy. Beau realizes letting Annabel in turns things a bit haywire for him, but she also brings warmth, light and laughter into his life. But a wanna-be girlfriend complicates things and the demanding pressures of work take a toll on Beau and Annabel’s relationship. All things considered, has Annabel missed out on the “sweet spot?
Undone is well written, sexy, and romantic with a swoon-worthy and satisfying ending. I loved this story and recommend it to all fans of romance. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
Meet Beau Bennett and his sweet spot Annabel Forester. Annabel is a drifter with wanderlust. She never stays in one place to long and the departure is the sweetest distraction. When Annabel meets the mysterious Beau Bennett on the sidewalk she hits some serious hurdles. Something about him tells her she may not want to run away again. The connection between them is explosive and for the first time, Annabel wants to stick around after the sweet spot has expired.
You can be too hot or too cold. You can be too easy or too hard. You can be too early or too late. All in all life has plenty of challenges and opportunities. Beau Bennett met his challenge and opportunity when he saved a pink hair girl from being trampled by a NYC bike messenger and his life was forever change. He went from working too much to ditching work, clients and business. He found himself impatient at work & forsaking his friends just to spend time with Annabel. He went from business as priority to craving the one person who may not stay. Beau was completely besotted with Annabel. He wanted to spend every waking hour and day with her. For Beau, there was no in-between. He wanted to give Annabel whatever she desired.
This story was a quiet book and packed a powerful and sexy punch. The writing is fabulous. The ending is to die for and over the top romantic. The characters' chemistry was a slow burn into a combustible fire. If you are looking for a lightening fast read you can devour in a few hours this book is for you. It's impossible to stop reading and I devoured it in one beautiful Sunday.
This book satisfy my one word title book challenge for 2018
I've read a few of Ms Wilde's books, and while I have enjoyed them, I’d say she's stepped it up a notch for this well-written, emotional story. I was caught up in the feelings of the two main characters and I felt like I knew them so well, I could understand the viewpoints of these very different personalities. Annabel has been moved around a lot in her life. She has gone with her mother's flow and learned how to be a free spirit. But she's been in New York City for three years now, so maybe things are changing. Annabel uses the sweet spot to determine when it's time to make change. Enter Beau Bennett, the Mystery Man who saved Annabel's life and is completely distracted by her. Beau knows about the sweet spot and prolongs the journey. And this journey is passionate and all consuming. Annabel has a very different life from the wealthy, responsible, uptight Beau, and he's not the perfect man. Beau lets stress, worry, and anger override his feelings. There are many other things going on that Annabel doesn't (and can't) know about, plus Beau's group of longtime friends making demands on his time, and this adds on to Annabel's confusion. Beau is totally besotted by Annabel and will try anything to win her, it's so beautiful. Loved the two main characters and the great build up in the story. Can't wait for the next book!
I received an arc of this book and have voluntarily reviewed it.
Just when you think you have life all mapped out, sometimes you just need a good shakeout!
I received an Advance Reader Copy for Undone: A City Rich Novel written by Amelia Harte and voluntarily reviewed this book. Annabel Forester has always lived a life of “nonpermanance,” leaving as soon as her “sweet-spot” level of comfort has been reached...including her latest job. In fact, it was just as she was just starting out on her brand-new job, one which had practically fallen in her lap, that she has a fortuitous meeting of a man so perfect a specimen, she was instantly smitten.
This woman he had just met was a breath of fresh air for Beau Bennett, and frustratingly, she stayed on his mind. She was what he wanted, but not what he was looking for - especially now. With pressures from work and members of his tight group of childhood friends vying for time with him, he is quickly feeling like he is losing control, just when timing couldn’t be more important. Was Annabel willing to “fit” him into her life? Did they have a chance to be together?
Loved this story! Beau was so used to having everything in predictable and calm, but with her, he ended up reacting and simply enjoying life more. Being with her made him a better person. Annabel finally might have found someone worth changing her life’s plans for after all…but is running still on her future agenda, now that she has found Beau?
I don't know how a wealthy business man and a seamstress with a gypsy mindset could ever have a stable relationship in the real word, but in this novel, the fantasy rocked.
Annabelle is a wanderer. It's not her fault. Her mother never stayed too long in one place and taught Annabelle to leave once she reaches "the sweet spot." So, Annabelle leaves jobs and relationships just before she thinks things might go downhill.
Beau is a focused, disciplined businessman. After saving Annabelle from being struck by a cyclist, he can't get her out of his mind. She clearly doesn't fit in his world, but he's drawn to her nonetheless.
What was unique about this story as opposed to other "millionaire/billionaire romances" I've read is the hero's acceptance of the heroine. He didn't try to change her style. Sure, he offered her a hotel suite when the ceiling in her apartment collapsed and he purchased extra clothes for her, but they were the same casual garments she enjoyed wearing. He didn't pressure her to wear designer dresses and stiletto heels. He didn't try to force her to fit in his glamorous, high-stakes world. All he wanted was for her to quit running and stay with him. While there was an instant physical attraction, Beau and Annabelle didn't jump into bed right away. Self-control is sexy! Just say NO to instalust!
Two total opposite... Annabel doesn’t stay in one place for a long time. She has been moving around since her mother use to move so often. She believed she should always leave when she feels the sweet spot. When she decided to quit her job, she never thought she would never thought she would find another job as quickly as she did. Beau never deviate from his plans. When his investing group decided to renovate the hotel and a theater, he never thought he would meet a person who would change him in every way. When he rescued Annabel from messenger bike (a bit like 50 shades of grey), he couldn’t take his eyes off her. But he doesn’t usually meet or date anyone like Annabel. When she offered him a coffee he refused and that kept him up at night. When Beau decided to offer Annabel a dinner, they were head over heels for each other. He never thought he would meet a person like Annabel. She was spontaneous and adventurous. Both open up to each other more than their closet friends. Only problem for both is that Annabel doesn’t stay long. Now they have to find away to stay together before she leaves again.
It was sweet story of two people coming together. I hope there are more stories about Beau’s close billionaire friends. Thanks to Netgalley and Kindles Press for my ARC in exchange for honest review.
❤️🌼SOMETIMES, YOU HAVE TO DIG DEEPER TO FIND THE GOOD STUFF❤️🌼 UNDONE was definitely a slow starter, and, usually, if I’m not involved in a book by the 3rd or 4th Chapter, I move on to another book, but because I believed this was the author’s first book, I wanted to give Ms. Wilde a chance to turn it around, so I read on...❤️🌼 There were some “cheesy” lines in this book and, the first paragraph of chapter seven was, literally, cheesy, and, at that point, I really don’t know why I kept reading, but, surprisingly, I’m so glad I did....❤️🌼 The farther I read, the more involved I became, and it continually improved. It, seriously, seemed like another author took over around chapter 7, and I wanted to finish the book. I really wish the author could go back and “redo” the 1st 7 chapters...to grab the readers’ attention (at least, this reader)from the beginning.❤️🌼 I don’t like to leave a harsh or hurtful review, and I wasn’t going to leave a review, at all, but because even though it took quite awhile to hook me, I did end up liking the book. I wanted to advise other readers, that, although, the beginning may not seem like a book you can or even want to finish, the “cheesy” part ends around Chapter 7, and from then on, the book is good.❤️🌼
Anabel grew up never settling down in one place for too long, as her mother took them wherever the wind took them. So as an adult, she never stayed in one place too long, running away from jobs, responsibilities, and uncomfortable situations. Beau is stable, responsible, and very controlled. So you would never think anything would come of these two when they collide right? Wrong! They say opposites attract, and in this case, it's so very true, because even though, both of them know they shouldn't fall, neither can stay away from the other. This is the first story that I've read by Amelia Wilde, and all I can say is give me another please, as I couldn't get enough! Even though Beau was a bit stuffy at times, I fell in love with him hard, and while Anabel was entertaining, her chaos drove my OCD self nuts quite a bit. But I couldn't deny the fact that these two had chemistry shooting off everywhere, & when it exploded, everything nearby caught on fire! And this author's talented writing style was talented & original in it's telling, in the realistic characters with flaws that I could relate to. I cannot wait to read more by her in the near future, and HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This was a great story, but different. I really enjoyed reading this book because the momentum of the story, scorching love scenes, a compelling storyline, and this book was well written by Amelia Wilde keeps you wanting to read more. Who would put their business in jeopardy for the sake of a woman who is erratic, free-spirited, an irresistible disaster who is gorgeous as she is impulsive and who upends everything—here today, gone tomorrow? Well Beau Bennett, the handsome billionaire, did for Annabel Forester who is the complete opposite of himself—powerful, wealthy, serious, confident, in control, and British. As the saying goes—opposites attract. Their attraction for each other seemed problematic at first, but the chemistry between Annabel and Beau grows more potent the more time they spend together—the sex is off-the-chart hot! This was an enjoyable book with an interesting plot and dialogue, and it keeps you reading to the end to find out what happened. The scenes are well written, fast-paced and flow smoothly from one scene to the next. This story will pique your interest and draw you in from the beginning to the very end. I don’t want to give away too much, but this is a definite MUST READ!
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book for an honest review. I absolutely loved this book and what an amazing start to a brand-new series by Amelia. Annabel is always on the go, never staying in one spot for too long, waiting for that sweet spot and then leaves. Beau, a billionaire, handsome, busy with work and no personal life that is until he sees Annabel about to be run over by a bicyclist and he jumps in and saves her. Instant sparks, hot chemistry, and the possibilities are endless. Annabel explains how she is and never stays anywhere too long, Beau starts to become a little insecure that he may not be able to convince her to stay. These two really are meant for each other even though they are complete opposites, but as the saying goes opposites always attract. There is miscommunication, misunderstandings, conflict, people intruding on this blooming relationship. There is always at least one person trying to wreak havoc, will these to survive everything to get their HEA? I guess you will need to read for yourself to find out. Amazing story and I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
Opposites attract in this read between a billionaire, Beau, who has to have order in everything and likes to plan and a free spirited woman, Annabel, who’s motto is to leave while things are great because sooner or later it won’t be and she likes to leave on a high note. They meet when he saves her from a messenger biker and can’t stop thinking of her. They go on dates and soon they are together but when things start to fall apart for Beau he lashes out. Can they repair the damage done ? A good read but they were quite a few questions that were never resolved for me....what happened to Kinsey and what did she tell Edgar about Beau ? Did Beau ever tell Annabel what he really does ? What does he really do with Edgar as that was somewhat confusing for me ? Why doesn’t he tell his supposedly closest friends or has her meet them ? There were a few more questions but I’ll have to leave it as Beau is a mystery man and still is while we know a lot more about Annabel and why she is the way she is. Otherwise a good read with an ending and a play that was different and made it worth the read. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
The first in what looks to be a compelling, sexy, sassy series- Undone is a tale of two opposites attracting. Annabel and Beau, one is a wandering free-spirited type, who leaves while the going is good so as to make it to the inevitably bad, the other is more work than play, serious to a fault person when these two meet over a rouge biker incident, the stars may as well have aligned just for them. While there may be a mad connection between these two opposites, life, and personalities, friends and foes, work and play, and mind over matter will be some of the battle's they will have to overcome to get to the path of love and acceptance. It will be one incredible journey.
Amelia Wilde did something amazing with this story! It felt fast-paced, yet the slow sensual burn to their tear out my hair relationship gave it a significant story feel! Sweet, sexy, romantic yet -full of heartache and pain, this story was unputdownable, make me crazy, I want to know more kind of story! Loved every minute of this one! One I would recommend checking out!
First off, I could not put this book down. AND it was a crazy quick read!
You have Annabel. All she has knows in life is to leave situations/places while things are good. She isn't the settle down type.
You have Beau. (He is definitely my type of guy!) Successful, driven, HOT Manhattan man that loves them and leaves them. He is so focused on work that he doesn't have time for any sort of romance.
But...Beau rescues Annabel and both their lives change. Both immediately feel the same and have a mess in their head about whether to tell the other, and worry if they are making the best decisions.
Of course a wrench gets thrown into the mix. Beau's business is majorly affected by one person and how he deals with it is less than spectacular. (Note, I felt this situation to be rather predictable.)
Do Beau and Annabel have their happy ending? Can they let go of everything they have known and just be w/each other?
Annabel is a free spirit who has enjoyed her lifestyle of following her heart wherever it takes her and never overstaying her welcome. She never becomes attached to anything or anyone so what are these feelings she has for Beau?
Beau is the powerful British billionaire and he couldn’t be more different than Annabel. Hi focus has been his business, his family and his friends or at least it was until Annabel comes crashing into his life.
He rescues her from being run over by a cyclist and instead he is run over by his feelings for Annabel. The connection and chemistry between them was instant and intense but is there a compromise to be found between the woman who wants to stay in one place and the man who couldn’t have deeper roots.
I enjoyed the characters as Annabel allows Beau to have fun and not be so serious while Beau makes Annabel realize that trusting and loving someone isn’t a bad thing. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
Oh my god, this book!! Another absolutely wonderful story from Amelia Wilde. Annabel is a free spirit who looks at life a little differently than most people, thanks to her mother. Beau Bennett is the complete opposite of Annabel. He's a business man who takes life seriously. One little run in with Annabel and he can't stop thinking about her. One little date with her and he knows she could be trouble, but still he can't resist her. I love how they fall in love. It's cautious on both sides, but for different reasons. Someone behind the scenes starts to ruin Beau's set business life and he doesn't understand it, can't figure out why. Annabel finds herself wanting to actual set down roots instead of leaving as soon as she finds the "sweet spot". One bad day and Beau makes Annabel question everything. She thinks she missed that sweet spot departure window and made a mistake thinking Beau could change everything. He says some harsh words and Annabel leaves him. They're both miserable and heartbroken. Finally things start to fall back together. Beau figures out why he lost his biggest client and he comes up with the sweetest apology I think I've ever read! I love their ending! This book is another must-read from Amelia Wilde. You don't want to miss Beau & Annabel's love story.
Fantastic start to a new series!! I couldn’t put this book down and read it in one sitting....it’s that good! Amelia Wilde knows how to draw her readers into a story and delivers once again.
Beau and Annabel meet when she starts her new job for a theatrical group putting on a production in his hotel. She grew up with a mother who had a tendency to move around on a whim and didn’t have much growing up. Beau, a billionaire who secretly also works for the government and has a single focus of work, work and more work. . Sparks fly when Beau saves Annabel from getting hit by a bicycle messenger and nothing will keep them apart. Can Annabel stay in one place for good and show Beau how to let joy and fun in his life,or will her need to move around when the sweet spot happens cause them to fall apart?
