(This is NOT a stand alone novel. See end of this description for details) Brad feels nothing but shame about himself. Shame about his sexual needs, about his reputation, about his medical problem no one knows about. No one, except his best friend Charlie, but no matter what feelings Brad may have for him, he’s not going there. Charlie deserves so much better, and Brad desperately needs something not even Charlie can provide.
Charlie has loved Brad forever, but he’s never acted on his feelings, unsure of where he stood. Plus, there was the complication of his boyfriend. But when his boyfriend’s abuse gets too much for Charlie, it’s Brad who helps him escape and recover.
Miles ends up severely wounded in the line of duty as an FBI agent. He’s floored when the man he was protecting, Indy, opens his home to him so he can recover. Indy also sets him up with Brad, who turns out to be a perfect solution for Miles’ sexual issues…until Miles wants more than sex from him, and a developing friendship between Miles and Charlie complicates things even more.
Bit by bit Charlie and Miles break through Brad’s defenses, until they come crumbling down. Miles will have to prove he can provide what Brad needs, and Charlie’s sweet love will be put to the test. But when Brad finally finds the courage to break free of his shame, will the fragile love that has blossomed between the three of them survive?
No Shame is a steamy M/M/M romance that ends with a happy ever after for all characters, including those from the previous books in the series. It’s the fourth book in the No Shame Series, and is NOT a stand alone novel, so make sure to read the first three books first (No Filter, No Limits, and No Fear). It contains hot sex, a ménage, a little daddy kink, more hot sex, and a poly-amorous relationship that transcends labels. Also: trigger warning for mentions of domestic abuse, sexual abuse, and rape.
Would you like the long or the short version of my bio?
The short? You got it.
I write steamy gay romance books and I love it. I also love reading books. Books are everything.
How was that?
A little more detail? Gotcha.
I started writing my first stories when I was a teen…on a freaking typewriter. I still have these, and they’re adorably romantic. And bad, haha. Fear of failing kept me from following my dream to become a romance author, so you can imagine how proud and ecstatic I am that I finally overcame my fears and self doubt and did it. I adore my genre because I love writing and reading about flawed, strong men who are just a tad broken..but find their happy ever after anyway.
My favorite books to read are pretty much all MM/gay romances as long as it has a happy end. Kink is a plus… Aside from that, I also read a lot of nonfiction and not just books on writing. Popular psychology is a favorite topic of mine and so are self help and sociology.
Hobbies? Ain’t nobody got time for that. Just kidding. I love traveling, spending time near the ocean, and hiking. But I love books more.

When I first started reading this series, I really wasn't sure where the story was supposed to be going. Book one was a bit mixed up with a "not quite menage" feeling that meant I hadn't a sense of the narrative.
But, I have to say, Nora Phoenix has book on book improved the relationship development between the four main characters and also managed to skilfully introduce five more diverse men into this narrative.
This was probably my favourite of the lot as the secondary plot of Indy's gangland ex still hunting him was concluded in book three - to my immense satisfaction with a wonderful take down scene.
So here the tone throughout is way more chilled and the story can focus on laying down the firm ties of friendship between all seven men living in the main house.
I loved Miles when he appeared as Indy's FBI handler man in book three and in this one the reader gets a deeper glimpse into his life with an unusual and embarrassing sexual condition.
Thankfully for him, Blake's brother Brad (who we met also in book three), is an absolute perfect match with his deep seated desire to please and to be used by a daddy in the best possible way.
The menage in this is extremely well crafted, Charlie has been in love with Brad since he rescued him from two bullies who were going to stick him in the dumpster at school. Brad is older than Charlie but their dynamic has always been equal.
Once these three meet, the slow build up from just meeting each other's sexual needs into a fully loving relationship was excellent.
This series surprised me in the end and there's not many that can do that these days.
#ARC kindly received from the author in return for an honest and unbiased review.
This series really evolved for me and I’m glad I stuck with it. The connection between friends and lovers deepened and situations slowly evolved. Yes there was every kink under the rainbow and while a little kitschy and almost too perfect it was all believable. I really enjoyed these books 😊
I went great guns on this series when it first came out in audio, but then kind of forgot about it. I've been meaning to finish it up, and I'm glad I finally did!
Since I accidentally read No Angel before this one, it's nice to get all the missing pieces. We wrap up a lot of drama in this one, since everyone has a hurt/comfort tale. Brad gets a start on working towards some resolution, Charlie finally gets his happy ending, and Miles does a 180 and comes into his own.
Only I know Indy's story isn't truly finished... he just doesn't know it yet.
Mostly No. Sadly. This last book just went totally off the rails.
I love that this author has her characters open to non traditional units. I like that commitment isn't determined solely by who you have sex with and that love is bigger sometimes than just one person. I really love that about these books. I also love her characters. Hurt/comfort is compelling. Big hearts, big problems, teamwork solutions, I love all of that. Give me more...
However, the kink side is troubling because she ties all the kink to past trauma. Based on many studies and observation most healthy, consensual kink is not linked to past trauma any more than being gay is linked to past abuse. People are just complicated and get revved up by different things for no rhyme or reason most times. Tying kink to mental health issues does a disservice to everyone including these characters. All of them should have been working through their trauma with trained mental health professoinals instead of using sex to get them through their issues. It just masks the problem and in the end they are still going to have to deal with their past. None of that is healthy or destined for long term success. I have a lot of doubts about ...
Additionally, handling the delicate question of stds by asking in the heat of the moment if someone is "clean" is so, so judgmental. What if any of her characters had to answer no? "No, i'm dirty? No, I'm unclean?" That's the interpretation that comes across.
And last. OMG, this book had so many editing errors and wrong word choices it distracted me terribly. In the first 4% the names are mixed up and for example at one point a character "perched" his lips...etc. I don't know if this was a rush to publish or what but man, this book needs to be re-edited completely.
So, while I really enjoyed the first three books, this fourth books is just a trainwreck.
Everything goes in this kinky household. This book has the resolution of Indy’s story and the development of Brad, Charlie and Miles’ relationship. Great series overall.
Not as attention holding as the others. More a really long epilogue showing how the men get everything sorted relationship-wise and career-wise. Still good but mostly a tying up of loose ends.
Honestly I had higher hopes for these three.. but I couldn’t feel the connection with Miles and Charlie, if they were going to be a throuple then they need to have equal amount of chemistry…it felt like a Miles and Brad relationship and they were just appeasing Charlie.
Brad was annoying at times, and Charlie he was fine.
There is only so much I can take with the constant sex, yes I know Miles has a condition that makes him hard almost constantly but Jesus we need more of a plot. I think it went down hill since Indy’s plot line was pretty much done. I will say book 3 was my favorite with everyone but I am bummed it went this way for book 4.
But i had to stop this book if I didn’t want to get in to a reading slump. That sometimes happens when I read long series.
Idk if I will go to book 5.. I think I need a break from these guys. All of them.
I enjoyed the relationships here, and the three MCs getting to know each other, but the word errors just about drove me to DNF. And there was a spot around 83-85% where the timeline got really fuzzy...I finally had to let go making sense of what happened on which day and if they were talking about yesterday or what had happened over the previous week's time and move on with the story, otherwise I knew I wouldn't finish the book. I understand she wrote four books in four months, but this one REALLY needed more editing, more than any of the previous three. I'll read the (thankfully shorter) final story, but then I think I need to take a little break from this author...
It's with serious mixed feelings I write this. I love these guys. I be we expected the one who I made the strongest connection with would be Brad. But it actually makes sense. We have seen the other guys. On the stonger end of the healing process more while with him it's just beginning. I cried the hardest in this one with Brad and Conner. The warm feels I got with Josh and Indy...sigh. I really appreciate the bonus chapter. When I finished the book and that scene wasn't in it, I felt a bit let down for myself as well as Brad.
hm ... I really liked the first 3 books and had high hopes for this. but I had troubles with the connection between Miles, Brad and Charly .... and I was not sure what to think about how Brad saw Blake. I had another impression of their relationship
I didn’t want this series to end. Seriously, I am having such a book hangover right now it’s unreal. These three guys, topped with the continuation and resolution and some of the other guys story lines as well made for great reading.
I wanted to love these guys, but Josh is so incredibly selfish and has no respect for Connor's feelings or established boundaries and Connor just gives and gives more to make him happy. I also don't understand why they all put Indy on a pedestal with his behavior either. I just really think Connor deserves better and not someone (Josh) who sends everyone else to take care of Connor every time he needs him and then goes to someone else to get himself taken care of more than once with more than one person behind Connor's back while Connor is dealing with a difficult time. I'm so happy they all found a way to be together happily, but the way Indy and Josh went about things to get them where they are (all together sharing a bed) a Is not okay to me.
Bratty Brad was just too much. He claims he likes taking care of everyone and then throws tantrums when people don't notice? And then his comment about "finally finding people that love him and want him" seems incredibly insulting to his brother who willingly raised him. I've found nothing likeable about him in this entire series so far. His little poor me attitude when everyone else is dealing with major issues is 🤢

A great ending to a great series about a group of great guys.
While this is more or less and extended HEA, there was still plenty of story to tell, and when you're as invested in a couple (which in Nora Phoenix's case rarely consists of just two people) as I was with this series, you will read anything about them.
I was more interested in Indy, Noah, Josh and Connor's story than the threesome's, so that's what makes it a 4-star instead of a 5-star.
By the end, they'd create their own little commune that I enjoyed reading about, and I went through all the emotions throughout this.
Nora Phoenix has an amazing writing style that makes you feel all the MCs emotions - good or bad -, and she makes unconventional romance work. I highly recommend her books!
Around 2.5 I didn't care for the daddy kink. I had trouble with the new pairing, especially with their start. I liked to see the others getting their HEA but the book was having too much different kinks and too much sex. Also it bothered me that all the kink was connected to a troubled past, for some to a troubled childhood. I didn't like that connection. That said I came so far, I'll read the last installment too.
No Shame is the fourth book in Nora Phoenix's No Shame series. Note that this series absolutely must be read in order. If you read it as part of No Shame: The Complete Series, you can read some bonus/deleted scenes. Here's what you can expect:
❤️ MMM romance ❤️ Third person multiple points of view ❤️ Happily ever for all characters, including those from the previous three books ❤️ Hurt/comfort ❤️ Found family ❤️ Daddy/boy dynamic

Once again, this series is quite unique to most other series out there, so I'll take a moment to run through the dynamics. This book is primarily Miles, Brad, and Charlie's book (all characters we've met in the previous three books). They have an interesting dynamic where two of the characters are engaged in a Daddy/boy dynamic and one character is not. We also get multiple chapters from characters from the first three books' points of view including Indy, Noah, Josh, Connor, Aaron, and Blake. This book also resolves the overarching suspense plotline and ultimately gives all characters a happily ever after (the fifth book in the series, No Angel acts as more of an extended epilogue.
This was probably my least favourite book in the series. I'll be honest, I had a hard time connecting with the three main characters and it took me quite some time to warm up to them. What got me through was the fact we still got glimpses into the characters from the first three books and got to witness their stories develop and grow. I absolutely adored watching the dynamics between the original four change, and of course, seeing Aaron flourish was a highlight, especially as he continues to repair his relationship with his brother. I also enjoyed the shared living situation and the "one big kinky family vibe" because they were all so deliriously happy and I love that for them. It was interesting watching the trust build and lines blur ever so slightly. Seeing Noah and Connor grow closer is also something I didn't realize I needed but was totally here for.
A lot of people struggle with MMM because it can oftentimes feel like one character is left out, and it sometimes felt that way with Charlie. Like Aaron in No Fear, Brad has childhood trauma that those around him don't even realize. It explains why he acts out and needs that level of discipline. I definitely shed a few tears when him and his brother, Blake, hashed out some of the more painful details of their childhood. But I had a hard time liking Brad because he could be so bratty at times. It could make it feel like Charlie didn't fit with him and Miles at times, although they do have a frank discussion about that dynamic towards the end of the book. I loved how the author wrapped up the storylines though! This definitely would've been a good way to end the series, but I love that she decided to do No Angel as an extended epilogue of sorts. This series has hurt/comfort, healing, kink, and so much steam your Kindle will be melting! Throw in a suspense element and I'm so glad I took the time to read it!
Absolutely fantastic! Yet another fabulous read from Nora. I've truly enjoyed all previous books in this series and this one is equal in all measures. Brad, Charlie and Miles come together with their myriad of physical, mental and emotional scars and healing injuries. Staying the house shared by Noah, Indy, Connor and Josh whilst recuperating is ideal for the three men and it allows us to follow and keep up with our favourite polygamous relationship. The way that Nora writes her books is great, keeping us flowing through the story, up to date with everyone and yet getting different points of views from nine characters. You'd think it was overwhelming but it works so well! I love that I can know how the events throughout the book are affecting all of the characters. The story line brings everything that we've read in the previous three books and works them together to include these three men that have been added to the family. Charlie is recovering from his abuse by his cop ex-boyfriend, Brad is caring for Charlie whilst keeping secrets about himself and Miles is recovering from the ambush attack when he was protecting Indy. They each offer something unique to their blossoming relationship, it's beautiful to read. There's a moment when Brad finally lets loose his frustration and it's agonising to read, Nora bringing you right along with them for the emotional journey that they go on. Every character has their story unique to them, strongly holding their own amongst the others and adding something you didn't realise was missing/needed but it all fits perfectly together. Nora brings such different relationships/kinks/wants/needs to your attention but there's such love and care between all involved that you can't help but love them and come to understand why they love what they need. I cannot recommend this book enough but definitely think you need to read all of the books to get the full impact of this one.
Five shining, sparkling stars. Wow, wow, wow, and wow again. I can’t express how much I loved this book. It is the perfect ending to an awesome series. Nora Phoenix has written another beautiful book about that is a prime example how complicated, unique, and unconventional love can be. Read this with an open mind, and there is a world opening for you. Love comes in all different shapes and sizes. Love is found in unexpected ways and forms. And love is what this book is all about. It oozes from the pages. And of course, it wouldn’t be a Nora Phoenix book if the sex weren’t hot. Smoking, smoldering hot. But even then there is so much love flowing between the men. This book is about Charlie, Brad, and Miles. “Theirs was one of those combinations that sounded and looked all wrong, but was so wonderfully right.” A quote from the book that says it all. That is what Nora Phoenix’s writing is all about. She has such an amazing talent for writing about broken, strong, vulnerable men who need each other to heal, to heal heart, body, and soul. What might look wrong and strange on the surface, is absolutely perfect for the men. Love is love. And it is a story about all the other men I came to know and love from the other books: Indy, Noah, Josh, Connor, Aaron, Blake. In this fourth book, the last existing secrets are revealed and tied together in a very satisfying way. And let me tell you, that I couldn’t read it without tears in my eyes. So many emotions, so many feelings. I am sorry to leave the men behind, but they will stay in my heart forever. I can, and will, read about them again and again.
The fourth and final book in this series and the author does a good job wrapping everything up all nice and pretty. I liked that she brought more emotion into this book. This is Miles, Brad and Charlie's journey to finding their HEA and it definitely doesn't start out all hearts and flowers. Again, the continuation of the couples come into play in this book so we get more Indy, Noah, Josh and Connor. I love how open they all are and their relationships just continue to grow.
Miles takes on a roll that I'm not really sure suited him. Brad finally opens up and breaks down his walls with his issues and insecurities. I'm not really sure how I feel on that subject. I felt at times Charlie was left out a lot and maybe overlooked often. I almost felt like he had to force his way in to be included with Miles and Brad. Maybe the author wasn't ready to tackle an MMM relationship because it just didn't come across as a genuine equally loving triad. But they did tackle a lot of emotional demons in this book which made the story that much better. And the sex was just downright hot!
Love the loyalty and friendship between all the characters and really loved to see Josh and Aaron start to work on rebuilding their sibling relationship. This author has great potential and there is definitely a lot of improvement from book one. I enjoyed reading this series and following this unique bunch of men as they discover their self worth, fight mafia bosses and seek justice to find peace and freedom to move on. Great end to the series.
** ARC received in exchange for an honest review **
No Shame is the fourth and final book in the No Shame series, and although we focus on Brad, Charlie, and Miles, there is a finality to everyone's story. We met Miles in No Fear when he was trying to protect Indy. In return, after he gets tortured, Indy proves once again just how big his heart is by inviting him to recover in their farmhouse/ranch house. This brings a new dynamic into the house, as Miles has his own problems, Charlie is still recovering from his ex's attention, and Brad doesn't know what he wants or how to ask for it.
How these characters all blend together is just amazing to read about, and I loved being thoroughly engrossed in their stories. It is with genuine sorrow that I say goodbye to this series, although it will be one I read again! I would love a little novella to just see how they're all getting on, say, ten years in the future. Hint hint, Nora Phoenix!
I know I run the risk of repeating myself, but I really can't recommend these books highly enough. They are not the 'usual' m/m books, but instead are fresh and original. Each book is a delight in and of itself, but put them together in a series, and you will get blown away. I can't say which is my favourite book, but this one had me smiling and crying at the end, just because of how it ends.
Go and read them! All of them!
* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and the comments here are my honest opinion. *
Miles is an FBI agent who has an embarrassing sexual issue which has kept him from getting too close to anyone. Miles takes Indy up on his offer to stay at with him while he recuperates. Brad & Charlie are also staying at the house after Charlie had left his abusive ex a month ago & needed to be somewhere his ex wouldn't look for him. Brad is there for Charlie.. Charlie is still dealing with the trauma left behind from his ex but is still in love with Brad. But it was Brad that broke my heart the most...
It was interesting watching these men learn to trust one another, helping to ease the fear & loneliness they each feel. Their complex feelings are evolving as they each help the others, each of them bringing something different and needed to the relationship. The try to build each other up but are harbouring their own insecurities about where they fit into the relationship. I genuinely felt the love & respect these men have for each other.
Loved seeing more of Indy, Noah and Josh & Connor. So much love between them. This unconventional relationship is written in a way that just really works. It was also great seeing Aaron & Blake thriving, Aaron growing into the man he wants to be.
This book made me cry.. which doesn't happen often. It truly was beautiful watching these men grow & heal together.. I would definitely recommend this series.
*I received an ARC from the author for a totally honest, unbiased review.
This is the last book in the No Shame series. It finishes the story of Indy and Noah, Josh and Connor, and Miles, Brad, and Charlie. With a short visit from Aaron and Blake.
After the events of No Fear, Josh returns from his stint in the mental hospital and Connor returns after his supposed undercover work in Boston. Both of them responsible for killing the man who had put a contract out on Indy.
Miles, the FBI agent assigned to protect Indy, was seriously hurt and is recovering. Miles suffers from a condition that causes him to need constant sexual relief. Brad has a severe need to be needed and uses Miles condition to get close to him. Charley, recovering from the last beating his boyfriend gave him has been in love with Brad for a long time. He is drawn to both men and wants them both.
All these men wind up living in the same house.
Josh, although he loves Connor, still needs Indy. Their relationship is as much about need as love. Connor struggles with this knowledge, wondering if he will be enough for Josh. Noah knows Indy needs Josh and is ok with that.
The various pairings are at times heartbreaking and exhilarating. Each person has their own specific needs and wants, which I see as the theme of this book. There are pairings outside of each main relationships but this is not cheating.
I'm sorry to see this series end, I think the author has enough story left with these men for another book.
