This just fizzled out ... it was repetitive, this story would have been over in 4 chapters but because her issues had to be hammered into your skull it went on and on. Having the two aliens try to reassure her in a couple of hours what's been beaten into her head her whole 20+ years of life that "it" was alright and her overcoming "it" wasn't construed very well. It was a problem that a 10 chapter book wouldn't have solved but somehow it did. And the ending was just bad, like I said it fizzled out, it was like expecting a big *pop* of a balloon and all it did was *hissssss* out... It was an okay story hopefully the other books are better... we'll see.

Reminiscent of Renee Rose's Zandian Masters series. I didn't love this one that much, and I'm not 100% sure why.
However, don't let me stop you from reading it. If you like kink, a woman on the run, and aliens, well then I think you've found a winner.

It was an okay read. I wouldn’t go so far as to say that this is my favorite author, but she’s better than a lot in this category. The story was okay and predictable but I will give the author a pat on the back because it was not riddled with errors, in fact very, very few, and it was written with a lot more maturity than a lot that I have read. This author loves spanking.

I liked the book, but the sci-fi factor is almost non existent. So don't read it because it's supposed to be sci-fi romance. Read it because it's a BDSM erotic romance about a human woman with two Alpha Alien Male🐺🍆🌋 husbands.
It's well written and does have a plot!

This story really shows how Ms. Barrett is refining her writing. The story flowed beautifully. The world building was very well done. The characters were super-hot together. I have enjoyed everything this author has written but this story really takes a huge step up. I am hoping that there are more stories in this world. I volunteered to read and review for SNP.

Something about how the two asshats were written turned me off. I kept reading in hopes that they would improve somewhat but the h instead joined their warped thinking that she deserved the treatment they doled out. Welp, that's Stockholm for you.

Ivy Barrett writes some really hot menage stories and this one is no different.
Amanda needs to figure out a way to get away from the powerful man her father has angered. He has tried to kill her more than once and her father has just left her alone. So she turns to an agency that will let her be a carnal companion. These are women who have signed a contract to have a relationship with 2 or more of the Ventori Defenders who are protecting the Earth from other aliens. For the next 2 years, she belongs to two Ventori Defenders and has to do everything they tell her to do. Every.thing.
Loax and Rantar are brothers and make up a pod. They sent out a contract so that they could get a carnal companion. They got Amanda. They both want her submission and obedience, but they have different personalities, both of which meet some kind of need that Amanda has. Loax is the harsher disciplinarian while Rantar is more reassuring and will negotiate to an extent.
When the brothers realize that Amanda may be in danger and wants to leave them, what's going to happen?
This is a really hot story. There is some amazingly, amazingly hot sex. The chemistry between the three of them is also amazingly hot. The brothers obviously are concerned about Amanda from the very start of the relationship, and that's very important to Amanda. While it seems like they may be harsh sometimes, their entire goal is to make sure that she is safe, protected and cared for. I love that. It's what Doms are supposed to do for their subs, and they do it well. I really hope that we see more stories from this world because it's a really interesting one. I really enjoyed this book, which was my first by this author. It’s pretty much as described which is a menage story between 1 human female & 2 Alien males. There is a STRONG dom-sub dynamic in where she must call them either Master or Sir. There’s plenty of (what I would consider) nonsense reasons to discipline their female just to get in some hot spanking before sex.
Personally I could take it or leave it on the discipline aspect. Some books take it too far for me where they can’t just have normal or sweet sex EVER, there has to be some form of rough punishment delivered beforehand.
I actually really enjoyed the way this author handled it. Often it was done in a more playful manner where it was obvious to both sides that it was strictly for pleasure/ foreplay. They were able to have sex without it sometimes and the d/s relationship was most strong in the bedroom. Outside the bedroom they seemed to want and value Amanda’s opinions which was sort of a refreshing change for this type of dynamic. I have a feeling some other books in the series may include more ‘heavy handed’ relationships but I enjoyed how much the 2 brothers loved their mate.
I am definitely going to read the next in the series, although with the very minimal plot & very heavy steam factor I may take a break & come back to read book 2. I have a feeling the characters would all run together otherwise. (Basically this is pure smut with pretty much zero character development so I’m sure they will be interchangeable by the end).

Amanda needed to get off Earth, NOW. Her father and she were targets. With her father getting ready to testify, they were constantly hiding. Not even the police that were assigned to them could protect them. Her only option was to sign up for the Carnal Compensation program. She would be matched to a Ventori soldier. Loax and Rentar have just got word that they have a match. They are looking forward to spanking her and showing her their dominance.
I have to say the hang up Amanda has with her grandmothers voice got to be aggravating. Seriously, the woman was gone and her guidance flawed. It is a shame that was what her grandmother believed about women and men. It almost totally ruined Amanda’s relationship with Loax and Rentar. I do love the Rentar always did his research and had a valid answer to her issues. It was fun to see her try to make the answer fit but always coming up short. This book has enough sex to make you all HOT and bothered, enough story to bring you into their world, and just the right amount of character personality to feel the fight and trust of the main characters.
The scifi element of aliens and how they are described is detailed, but most of the story takes place on earth. As the story is about how earth females meet their alien mates, I enjoyed the story focusing more on the main characters then where they could go.
The story flowed naturally and smoothly, nothing to pull you out of the reading like some others books can.
I couldn't put it down and can't wait to read more of this storyline!

Good start
While I thoroughly enjoyed this new world and the Ventori, I found myself wanting to slap Amanda through the first 65-70% of the book. When she volunteered for the companion program, she was explicitly warned what was expected of her and stubbornly insisted she could handle it. Then not even an hour after arriving, she got mouthy and indignant and tried to back out. Her Catholic guilt was so over developed, it was unbelievable. If she truly felt that way about sex, she would never sign up to be a companion to multiple men. There were times she sounded like she belonged in the 1950's. Then suddenly she was in love. I have never read a book with a character that less suited to the story. Ever.
With that said, it was a fun read. Enough to continue the series.

Captivating, super hot and an element of suspense
Trained for Their Use by Ivy Barrett is an exciting alien romance. The plot, storyline and characters are all very interesting and held my attention captive from the beginning to the end. I enjoyed the dark elements of the chraracters as well as the menage aspect. Amanda's circumstances are compelling which kept me fully engaged beyond the growing relationships between her, Loax and Rentar. As this is the first book in this series and the first book by this author I have read, I an completely intrigued and will continue to read the series!

I am honestly not sure why I enjoyed this so much. But I started with the #2 book right away.
The world building is interesting. And eventho the story is just a small part of the book, its still constantly present and makes me want to read me.
And as a "spoiler" for the next few books. They aren't copy&paste of the same idea with just different main characters. Different stories, completely different characters and a small continues story.
The story part could be more but it was still an easy enjoyable read. Okay okay its 90% BDSM smut with aliens. But sometimes thats exactly what I need.

Trained For Their Use is a decent book. Amanda is forced to runaway to escape danger her father has brought upon her, so she volunteers to be paired with an alien for two years. Brothers, Loax and Rantar apply to be paired with a human female and as soon as they meet Amanda realize she is different. A special pull…she is their mate. There is a bit of danger so some plot but it is mostly BDSM scenes for most of the book. The Sci-fi elements were definitely lacking; I wanted them to have ‘special’ attributes, but they were physically pretty vanilla. I’ll probably read the other books in the serious eventual when I need a quick filler book.

Engaging, dynamic plot.
I enjoyed this tale of Amanda and her adventure with Loax and Rentar. Amanda is faced with the dilemma of certain death if she stays on Earth vs. the certainty of the humiliation and degradation of sexual servitude on the spaceship of invading aliens. Since she doesn't want to die, she has to reconcile herself to the notion of defying the social/sexual norms she's been raised with. There is, of course, the threat to her/them from her pursuers from Earth who still want her dead. HEA.

I enjoyed this aliens find their mate who is a human story. Amanda volunteered to be a carnal companion to protect herself against the mafia who are looking for her to kill her because of her father who is a witness against some mafia criminals. Amanda had a strict upbringing with her grandmother but she is interested in more than the typical type of sex and gets that with her alien companions. She is still in danger but her aliens find she is their mate and, of course, will protect her. They take care of her in all ways and they find love together. Lots of sexy scenes.

Good Paranormal Tale
I enjoyed this story very much. The alien paranormal beings with their inclinations for spanking and domineering their earthly female mates was a different take that was interesting to me. As many of us vary as to our inclinations toward dominance, passiveness, etc. I was interested in how many of the characters accepted or rejected the alien's behaviors. I wasn't turned off by those characteristics.

Great book but...
I love books like this, this is also a great book but every book I read that's in this genre, the main character is a pale white girl, I wish it was more diversity. It gets repetitive when the only difference between main characters will be their hair occasionally, or sometimes their body weight. I just feel that the main characters should be more inclusive, regarding the female characters.

Her innocence was captivating... Amanda Powell is desperate. She’s on the run looking to hide from the dangerous men trying to kill her. She went to Carnal Compensation to sign up as a companion to two Ventori Defenders in order to escape. Great book! I just loved the story. Hot, romantic, mates and sinfully sexy.
The 2 male MC'S are brothers and belong to an alien race, the Ventori's. The female MC is human and signed up to be their carnal companion.
Spankings from her new masters is 1st and foremost. Both males are pretty rough with her. But then again they're not human.

I got this book in exchange for a voluntary review. Amanda is fleeing a drug lord that her father made very angry. She joins the Carnal Companions program and ends up with lax and his brother Rentar. They will have free rein over her body for two years. Will she be able to adjust ? Will the drug lord let her go ? He has tried to kill her twice now.

This is my first read by this author. I really like sci-first erotica reads because the normal rules don't apply. It was a little predictable and I think it could have been longer. However it had good character development and it flowed. Ivy has done a good job with these types of books! Alien/human reads can really go awry sometimes, but she got this one right!

This well written Alien menage story about woman who is escaping her dad's debts and enemies and she trades herself for 2 years to get off the planet. This story has action, twists, turns, romance, and love. This does have triggers and is also a wonderful strong alpha aliens story. A must read

Seems kind of the same earlier book but still hot!
These books have been excellent reads! Steamy hot to their core you can’t put it down! Love the aliens wishing earths men were half the way the aliens are would be wonderful!!
If I ever hear of alien invasion you can bet I’m running to see what their like!! Hopefully we’ll get a spacecraft full of the Ventori!!!
