I wish I could say this book made me confident about bidding, communicating, and playing bridge. It didn't. There are just too many permutations, and no substitute for practice, making mistakes, and learning slowly over many hands with patient partners. But if any book could do it, this book would be it. It's clear, as concise as possible, and well laid out. Bridge is still hard, but this book gives it as good a try as you're likely to find in under 200 pages.
