In that moment you meet someone and talk to them for the first time and you just know. Sometimes you know from the first hello that this person is going to be significant in your life. This is what happens to Jack in his first meeting with Melissa. Of all the small town bars to end up in, he ends up in the one she works at. I loved Jack from the beginning! He is definitely my kind of book boyfriend. He might be an illegal underground fighter, but he knows what is important and what is right and wrong. He ends up fighting for the wellbeing of a stranger. Melissa is in an abusive relationship and has no clue how to get out of it. Without help from those around her she doesn't feel that she deserves better. It takes meeting a stranger (Jack), who believes that she deserves so much more than what she is settling for, that she begins to realize. Jack also has his own issues from his past to deal with, he definitely is not a perfect person. Jack and Melissa are great for each other. They are supportive without being possessive. They just want what is best for the other. In true Chance Carter style the sex is hot 🔥and steamy! You will not be disappointed. Chance's stories just keep getting better with each release! The cover photo for Jacked is probably my favorite so far! Seriously hot! 🔥🔥 Thank you Chance for another great one!

Good read
This book was kinda hard fo r me tij read there is alot of abuse in this book. It kind of reminds me of what my friend had to go through. Donny was a very big abusive Pease of work. Plus he was the town bully who thought that everyone owed him everything. Melissa did not have a great upbringing. So she really did not know what true love felt like until she met Jack one night when he walked into her bar. BOTH Melissa and Jack had a lot of bad baggage but once together I think that Melissa brought put the best in Jack and Jack brought out the best in Melissa. I must say though that all in all this book was a good read

I LOVED this book and couldn’t put it down. It had everything I want in a good read: girl alone in the world needs a hero; tough as nails guy needs a reason to make changes in his life; loyal friends and family that can be counted on, jerk boyfriend who’s, well, a jerk; love at first sight and hot toe-curling, scream-his-name sex; no cheating; and a HEA that is put to the test.
Jacked is flawlessly written and flows like a river to read. It’s still only $0.99, so grab it before the price goes up, or read it on Kindle Unlimited if you have it. You are going to love this book, too!!

The titular Jack is an MMA street fighter, always chasing the payday but not so much the constant violence that comes with his chosen profession. Melissa is another misused and abused girlfriend, afraid to leave her physically and emotionally abusive boyfriend, preferring the devil she knows. Donny's the son of the richest man in town and life would be much more difficult for Melissa if she were to leave him. However, when Jack stops into the bar/restaurant where Melissa works, Melissa feels inexplicably drawn to him. She manages to stop Jack leaving before he gets out of town and they decide to make a go of a relationship between the two of them.
Another always sexy one from Chance Carter. Extremely similar to his Most Eligible Baby Daddy, with elements of Heart of the Hunter and most of his other books as well mixed in. So if you're a fan of sexy fighters or of the genre of steamy contemporary romance or of Chance Carter's other works, you'll love Jacked just as much and should definitely pick up a copy of Jacked to read to your heart's delight and have in your collection. (There's a special surprise in this one as well.)

Chance Carter has done it again. I could not put this book down! I read it all in one sitting and couldn't have loved it more. Thank you for a wonderful story.
Melissa had a rough life from the beginning. Getting mixed up with a jerk in the town she decided to settle down in didn't help any. Her struggles throughout the book for herself were tremendous and real life for some women. He never give up attitude is to be commended.
Jack did everything he could for those he loved. The loss of his mom killed something inside of him that he didn't realize was missing til meeting Melissa.
Their relationship was not an easy one. They had many struggles to overcome in order to be together. Through ex's starting drama and old employers wanting to keep their cash cow in chains, the two had a lot to overcome. In the end they managed to overcome it all and make the guilty ones pay for what they did to them. It is a story of true love and not giving up.

I loved the story of Jack and Melissa. Jack has been street fighting since his Mother was sick with cancer to help pay the bills. He continued after she passed away to help put his sister, who is in college. Melissa is an orphan who never found a family. When she was 18 she left her foster home to strike out on her own. She found herself in a small town and became the girlfriend of the son, Donnie, to the most powerful family. Melissa finds herself as the prize in the fight between Jack and Donnie. Jack wins but Donnie's friends beat him up. Despite everything they go through in the town of Cannon they find their future together.

Gut grabbing story that made me scream out loud and then cheer like a loose monkey!! A fighters world where fists rule and a physically and emotionally abused woman are each others solace is so heart breaking that I gasped and squirmed at their pain. Abuse is definitely undeserved for any reason and Mr. Carter's unique storytelling ability in airing dirty laundry made me feel a personal ache for these exceptional characters... and their resiliency unbelievable! Thank goodness they had the strength of mind and heart to fight for each other and teach lessons along the way! I was grinning like that aforementioned monkey as I turned the last page...and happy, I was very happy! I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book

Jack is a street fighter, so when he wins a fight but the losers friends make it a dirty fight and leave him in the city of cannon.what's a guy to do? He's thirsty, so when he walks in to the bar called Alibi he sets his eyes on Melissa. Melissa grew up a foster kid. She always felt like a loner, till the richest family son Donnie set his eyes on her, she was always his. Melissa wants out. Is Jack her salvation? Great read. I couldn't put down till finished. This book includes three extra books. The first extra book is called Lieutenant Commander Stud with Chanel and Ryan. The second extra book is called Claiming his virgin with Jane and Brad. The last extra book is called Room Service with Mona and Oliver.

Sugary Sweet with some Spice
Chance is one of the two male authors I read. His books are a guilty pleasure for me. His books are over the top romances with a nice dose of sexy. Jacked is no different. Jack is a bad boy street fighter with a heart of gold. He takes care of his little sister and works hard. He's a dark knight, coming to the rescue of any damsel in distress. Melissa is tried of small town life and her douchy boyfriend. Said boyfriend is also turning into a violent drunk. When Jack comes to Melissa's defense, the attraction she felt becomes an obsession. Jack could be everything she dreamed of, but is she willing to leave her life behind? Is Jack willing to fight all opponents standing in their way?

Awesome Story.
This was a hot frigging action packed book that had me hooked from beginning to end.
An abused women who grew up with no family but her boyfriend gets drunk and likes to act like a jack@$$
Then you have sex on legs. Fighter. Lover and all. Just wanting to continue taking care of himself and his sister who is in college. He's been responsible for her since their mother died of cancer.
Then he runs in to the bartender and well her jack@$$ boyfriend gets more than he bargained for and became obsessive. Awesome story. There were some left ends that I would've loved to read more about.
I kept yelling why don't you take her back to your hometown. Your mom's house. The house you would never let fall apart, yet we didn't mention it again n the book 🤔😬

Well written book with great storyline and plot. A bit different than the usual romance books.
A story about Jack and Melissa. Jack is fighting to support his family to go through tough financial times. Jack ends up fighting for Melissa. Her boyfriend has placed her as a price in a fight between Jack and him.
Lots of chemistry and hot scenes. I like the main characters and how they develop. The story flows nicely and it is very captivating from first to last chapter. I like it is written in dual POV. That gives a lot more to the story. I like it has an epilogue.
The author has delivered a story that is worth the read!

JACKED by Chance Carter
This was no book. This was a novel. I started reading this expecting to enjoy a nice, sweet romance. It became apparent that this book had good bones. Jack had experienced so much sadness in his life but when he met Melissa, he saw possibilities. The roller coaster of emotions of sadness, suffering, happiness and joy kept this book moving along from beginning to end. They eventually had their HEA but what stands out the most to be is their hope and belief in each other. Oh yea, there was lots of steamy sex. This was a very interesting but long book. If you are looking for a sweet, nice story, you are in for a surprise. 5 stars.

Who would have thought a man who fights for a living would be the answer to all her problems. When Jack drops into the bar, Donnie is given a piece of his own medicine and Melissa gains the confidence she needs to finally start living life.

I have to be honest... I'm not usually a fan of "fighter" romances but this one has more going on than just being one genre and I really enjoyed the variety of this romance. This book starts out with Jack getting ready to enter an underground fight and the fallout from it. But that's where the "fighter" part ends and the romance begins with Melissa. It's a wonderfully messy beginning to a romance that is as hot as it is perfect for both Jack and Melissa. 💞

This is A bad boy romantic suspense, Jack and Emily meet at the bar where she works, he of course is a street fighter who just won a $2000. Fight but got the crap kicked out of him by some good ole boys who didn't like their friend lost they dumped him at the bus stop inn the next where he made the choice to get a drink before leaving town. But Emily proved to be to much of a draw he had never felt about a woman the way he did when he saw Emily behind the bar. Great writing. Good story line. I received a copy as a gift from author. This is an honest review without obligation.

I really love the chemistry Chance has with his characters Melissa and Jack. When their paths cross in a bar and then events that change both their lives for the better everything falls into place. It was encouraging that Melissa finally found her strength to stand up to her abuser and left to follow a dream she never thought she would have, including a family. Jack was also able to put his past behind him as well to live the life he deserved as well. It is definately a HEA story worth reading.

Jacked my heart
Holy Toledo! Chance Carter gave us another angsty, wonderfully written, gritty story! I could not believe how well he showed us Mel and Jack's relationship. From the fights, to the domestic abuse, to learning how to live a different way, the words just flowed on the page to show us just a glimpse into what these two must have been going through. I am so amazed at Chance Carter and how his work just speaks to me as the reader.

This was a story that gripped me at the beginning. My heart went out to Melissa and the abusive relationship that she endured. Well written as usual, by Chance, with great characters and a strong storyline. Was so inspiring how Jack became attracted to Melissa and rescued her from Donnie's abuse. Was sweet to watch their relationship and trust grow. A great book with lots of emotion and twists. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book

I love this book Jack meets Melissa in a bar where she works he sees her boyfriend abusing her so he steps in .Domonic her boyfriend and his family owns half the town and he makes Jack life a living hell you'll have to read the book to get the whole story there's more stories by Chance in the book and are also worthy enough to read you will enjoy them so put your feet up grab a glass or two of wine and spend the night with Chance
