Violet Black’s witty, sassy nature captured the attention of her friend and sexy former college quarterback Cullen Metz ages ago, but what is she to do about it when she’s married to a narcissist? Her husband barely lets her leave the house to go to work let alone spend time with her friends. Certainly a scintillating coworker wouldn’t be allowed… Then her husband breaks the ultimate barrier of trust, and Violet is forced to bury a secret not even Cullen’s rich brown eyes can coax from her.
Then, after an accident occurs leaving Violet’s stars to align, the questions for how to live fully and deeply while trusting in herself begin to take shape. Will the secrets of her past over shadow her future? Can the heat and desire burning between Violet and Cullen reveal itself to be more than just a physical attraction and speak the language of true love?
I was born near Chicago, IL not that terribly long ago. I embrace my Italian heritage of walking fast, talking fast, and learning fast early to tackle both the scientific world and the creative one. I am equally skilled in logic and fine arts, causing the two to ebb and twist through my life's daily journey. While my family and friends identify me as analytical, systematic, and organized, I know my heart is equally satisfied with brilliant, carefree colors on canvas and steamy romance novels to read or write.
I was inspired to write this book "All the Different Ways", the first in a series of three called "The Cantavatti Sisters", from the overexposure to narcissism, egomania, and pride that I see plaguing my world.
Book 2, "All the Other Reasons", is available as paperback now and on ebook April 21, 2018.
The opening chapters are so poignant. Violet is trapped in a loveless and abusive marriage from which she can see no escape. But then there's Cullen, the colleague she fantasizes about, the man she would be with if only she could, and as usual it's complicated by her fear of rejection. A passionately told story and one that I would like to see carried on.
I loved it! Violet had some things to work through and deal with before she could fully move on from her abusive marriage. It was encouraging to see her character build self-respect throughout the book. From the first interaction between Violet and Cullen, I was hoping they'd end up together. I thoroughly enjoyed the steamy scenes, character growth and the developing relationship between Violet and Cullen. Can't wait to read book #2!
