This book is a must read, especially for advent season. In 13 short chapters , the author helped me slow down and see Christmas and the Christmas story in a whole new way. I loved the call to behold, to stop and take a long look, to truly take in all it means. There was so much good information in this book, showing that it was well researched and developed. In fact, quite a few of these chapters are life changing. Thanks to this book my word for 2020 is behold. As this book awakened a call within me to make next year, a year to slow down and dive deep into Gods Word, to see with new eyes. The chapter on dawning encouraged my heart as I walk through some times off waiting. The chapter on making room caused me to ponder where I need to make room for Jesus in my life. So I highly recommend this book anytime of the year, but especially before either Christmas season. And I need to check out what other books Christie has written.

So I do a Christmas card every year and I had it all written up. Then I started this Advent devotional and after Day 1, I decided to scrap the letter I had written and re-write it with a message from what I learned on Day 1! Highly highly recommend!
