Paranormal Shifter Military Special Ops Romance. Book five in the bestselling series PSI-Ops!

Paranormal Security and Intelligence operative and lion-shifter Malik "Tut" Nasser's past is about to catch up to the ancient Egyptian.

When he agreed to help test a drug that could help supernaturals with control issues, he never thought it would have the opposite effect on him. So when he finds himself fighting the urge to lay claim to a human woman, he's far from prepared for what happens next.

Winning an all-expenses-paid trip to Egypt felt like a dream come true for Brooke Larner. Everything in her life is lining up perfectly-even the handsome new man she's found herself attracted to. Before long she's handing over more than just her heart, thinking it just might be for keeps. When it doesn't go as planned, Brooke finds herself running right into the hands of madmen bent on creating super soldiers. And she soon realizes that creatures from stories and nightmares are altogether too real.

After five years of searching for Brooke, Malik has finally reached his breaking point. Already the obsession to find her left him shifting into a lion in a very public place before being forced on mandatory leave. Still, he can't get her out his mind. The suppression drugs have been out of his system for years. The burning desire for Brooke should have gone with them.

It didn't.

So when chance leaves their paths crossing once more, he realizes destiny is at play. The only problem is, she doesn't trust him and she has a secret she's willing to die to protect.

As demons from their past resurface, they find themselves in a battle to save everything they hold dear.

This book has a ton of 5 star reviews and while it started out at 3 stars for me at the beginning,it soon went to 5 stars then took a huge nosedive to 1 star as it revealed something that really did not gel with me and took my enjoyment out of this book.I did not buy the hea either.

Malik and Brooke

A good way to start a story 💥"kaboom" 💥 then some of my questions about Malik were answered too... I can perfectly say that they are perfectly match and hey this is not a quick read either 😏

The Immortal Ops Universe keeps getting better and better w/ Brooke and Malik's story and them being powerful. Action-packed, funny and tear jerking story is what I also got.

Some new characters were also introduced so we can expect that the I-Ops Universe will still keep growing.. Cant wait to read the other stories 😊

Definitely a book to read 👍

Ms. Roth does it again for me. I love her PSI-OPS world of supernatural characters. She writes iun a way that gets me involved with the overall story line and the mini story line for the characters involved in this case it is Malik the hidden Egyptian God who could have been king as well as being a cat shifter who discovers his mate a resort. Bethany won a trip to Egypt along with her best friend Edee. She is more than she appears and I loved how Ms. Roth brought these two characters together.

I highly recommend this series as they are full of actions and fated mates coming together under unusual circumstance. There is enough love, action, passion and drama to keep you enthralled from start to finish. I voluntarily read an advance copy and have not been compensated in any way for this opinion. Judge it for yourself I dare you not to fall in love with the hot sexy men of he PSI - OPS teams.

Malik Nasser is a PSI agent (paranormal security and intelligence) and an ancient. He and his team are sent to a mission in Egypt that doesn't go will but back at the hotel he meet the women if his dreams. The one his cat purrs for but that can't be right she smells human?
Brook and her Best friend Edee just finished collage and are set to get the jobs of their dreams. A travel agency called telling them they won an all paid trip to Egypt. Odd since they did not remembered entering but their names were on the tickets so they went. Its a chance of a life time. . she meet the guy of her Dreams BUT ....... Yea there is always that but and this one us a major one. I can't tell you it will give the story away.
Its full of action, betrayal, intrigue, mystery, evil guys, hot guys, twists and turn that don't stop. I love the group camaraderie. These guys are great. The action will have you at the edge if your seat. I loved it.

I have to say out of all the books from this series, this one is by far my favorite so far! This is Malik and Brooke's story and let me tell you it is a whopper of a story line. We have our usual characters and boy does Striker finally meet his match in this one. What do I want to say that won't give a spoiler? This: prepare yourself for the laugh of a lifetime with the meeting of Edee and our wild man Striker. Tut, well he's just all up in arms over a human and has no idea why, he blames other things instead of the straight out truth of the matter. We have of course lots of action packed scenes that will have you on the edge of your seat and of course a nice little twist of fate that gets all the Ops in a twist, just wait for it, and make sure to have your imaginary camera in hand for the a$$hole award photo shoot of the year, this one has nothing on Lil' dude and duke :-) Grab your copy to day and start reading. Enjoy

HOLY COW!! This is now my favorite I-Ops book! It was full of the comedy we expect from the I-Ops, oh the A-hole of the Week award is a doozy. A suggestion, DO NOT eat or drink while reading. I might have gotten a green bean in the nose when I choked and this was only in Chapter 1 and it got funnier. It was also full of the heat we expect when the mating lust hits these guys. There are also some unexpected oh hell moments. I stayed up way too late reading this one because there was just no good point to put it down. No good stopping point. Ms. Roth drew me in and had me hooked from the very beginning. The Corporation is still out there causing issues for everyone. But, don't mess with a mate!

I'm on the fence on this one. I enjoyed the over-all story immensely. Malik really annoyed me for most of the book though.

He's ANCIENT ... He's a lion shifter - with a secret. He's the MIA member of PSI-Ops for the previous books. He lost control of his animal, and was forced to go on mandatory leave. We find out why in this book.

Brooke and her best friend Edee (who's an absolute female version of Stryker!) have won an all inclusive trip to Egypt (thanks to the Corporation). The PSI-Ops happen to be in town, finishing up their current case .. when Malik sees Brooke across the lobby. Attraction is instant, but Malik is on a test drug, so he's not trusting what his instincts are telling him. She's completely human, but he really wants to mark her. Boomer & Stryker pick up on what Malik's throwing down, and after a brief altercation with a weird guy going after the girls ... convinces the girls to meet them for drinks.

After hooking up with Brooke ... who happens to be a virgin (along with dormant powers that activate) ... Malik marks her, but she doesn't claim him back. He absolutely looses control of his cat. He basically kicks her out of his room (to protect her), and she flees ... straight into the team, who realize what's happening when they hear Malik's cat roar. They hustle her out to safety (straight into the Corporation's grasp), while they tranq and contain Malik.

When Malik finally gets control, he sets out to track her down, and discovers both her and Edee have been taken. He searches for her for 5 years, with no luck. When the team gets a lead on her, they call in Auberi - Malik's best friend - to distract him. He takes him to strip club, where Brooke happens to be working.

Brooke is a badass, who was told by her those who captured her that Malik was killed the day she was taken. She and Edee have escaped, and they're protecting someone. After her encounter with Malik, her Fae powers were triggered, and she's quite powerful. She's working at the strip club to satisfy her succubus needs. She fuels up without contact.

Malik & Auberi are her next customers, and they're wearing Egyptian masks. Right away Malik catches her scent, but those hunting her makes an appearance, and she freezes the men in place ... and proceeds to kick ass.

The story's pretty much full throttle from this point. Brooke & Edee have been protecting Malik's daughter ... he doesn't handle that news well at all, accusing her of sleeping with someone else, while he spent all his time trying to find her. Then he realizes a rival wolf-shifter -Gram (Shadow Ops) has been raising the girl ... and sleeping with his woman (even trying to marry her) ... yeah, Malik doesn't handle things well at all. THIS is what I have an issue with. For as old as Malik is, he treats Brooke HORRIBLY. That she's able to forgive him is a testament to the power of destined mates bond.

Kudos to Stryker stepping up to the plate! He's wonderful with Bethany and Edee (who has her own traumatic story involving Garth's (wolf shifter PSI-Ops Captain) twin brother). Bethany totally has the entire team wrapped around her little finger. Gram really takes a hit protecting Bethany. It's nice to see Malik making nice with him, for Brooke's sake.

Reviewed at Shifter Haven

For me, Act of Passion, the fifth title in the PSI Ops series, was the most difficult – emotionally – story to read in these series so far. Since we often run across characters from all these series in different stories as secondary characters, Malik ‘Tut’ has become a familiar face. There has always been a cloud of sadness surrounding him, spoken of by others, and felt as well. Now, we have a better idea of what has haunted him for so many years… and it’s heartbreaking in so many ways.

For these men, finding their mate is the ultimate lifelong challenge, the desire perhaps underlying and not really acknowledged yet we’ve seen even the most stubbornly content bachelor change his tune upon meeting his mate… so it’s there that ingrained need to find their mate, should they exist. For Malik to believe he’d found his mate in Brooke only to question his reaction because of the drug he was testing and the lack of a sense of the supernatural around Brooke was hard to watch happening. It had to be for the emotional impact on the reader. But, yeah, it was hard. Without thinking by pure instinct Malik made a choice that would haunt him – and when Brooke disappeared without a trace he was left with the aftermath of their time together, perhaps now free of the drugs, with a better idea of what might have happened… but still Brooke was human, so he continued to question himself. Until a chance encounter, not at all what his team-mate expected when trying to distract Malik from something far different yet related, would change his life once again.

I have to say this, even though it pains me greatly considering how much I’ve enjoyed Malik’s part in this series and in his story… I could not like Brooke. I simply could not. I’ve used every rational thinking trick – she wasn’t raised as a supernatural so she had no idea, she made the choice to walk out which set events in motion, she was lied to yet believed a madman’s claims… and Malik did search for her. Still. While I adored Bethany, a precocious wee girl, I could not like Brooke nor see her as “worthy” of Malik. I’m hoping that she’ll appear in future books (I have a pretty good idea whose book that might be) as a secondary character where I might get the chance to change my mind… but no, I don’t think that’s going to happen.

Act of Passion is intense, emotionally, and action-wise. It’s a story that will linger in your mind. We get to see so many different sides of several of the Ops men and their interactions with Bethany gave me more than a few smiles. I think this is going to be one of those stories where I loved the hero and if he loved his lady that was good enough for me… and let it go. Anther of my favorites in these series, I’m certain I’ll be re-reading Malik and Brooke’s story often.

I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.

I have read every book in this series and have always found the new one as the best. This one without a doubt is my favorite! You will laugh, cry and yes even shout along with them all. There are so many favorite parts it is impossible to pick the best.
Mandy has really outdone herself this time. Easily the best of this incredible series. A series that I hope has no end!

The enigmatic, master of patience, Malik is getting his shot at love!

Malik (Aka Tut to the rest of the team) has taken well to the modern world. Unlike some of his luddite shifter teammates he can google with the best of them. But he has a couple of deep, dark secrets he'd rather his teammates didn't know about. But when some R&R after a mission in his home country leads him to a top resort he didn't expect trouble to follow him. When will he ever learn that with Striker about that will ALWAYS happen!

Brooke and her friend don't remember entering any competitions to win a holiday but as struggling Grad students they'll take it anyway. Malik immediately is pulled towards her. But it can only be the meds he's testing right?? Brooke is human as they come. But after a hot and passionate night when Malik all but proposes to her, he kicks her to the kerb, not realising he does to to protect her from the shift that is forcing on him. Later Malik tries to find her only to find out that she and her friend were taken.

Fast forward 5 years and Malik is still searching for Brooke every chance he gets. He keeps smelling that unique scent of hers nearby and it drives him nuts. But not as nuts as when he realises just where she has been and who she has been hiding these last couple of years!

As with any I-Ops/Psi Ops books the vein of humour is large! I love these boys hard. Striker continues to be my favourite (well he is a fellow Scot!) but they all have a home n my heart! Evan Corbin! The A-hole of the Week award is still going strong but what happens when half the team is in the same photo (hint...there is a tea party involved!!!) . As usual I had to read it all in a oner...no quitting for me! Edee is giving Striker a run for his money in the innuendo stakes and I really hope we see more of her! The Corporation are still causing headaches galore for the good guys. No spoilers from me but there are tears at points and I did get a bit irritated by some of Maliks assumptions! But a great book in a fab series!

This totally awesome PNR is sexy, steamy, sad, funny and all action from beginning to end. I absolutely loved it.

Oh wow! What an absolutely fantastic addition to Mandy Roth's PSI Ops, part of her Immortal Ops World. 'Act of Passion' is the fifth book in the PSI Ops series and one of the best so far. I absolutely loved it and devoured it in two days which is pretty good going for me, I usually take at least three or, more often, four days to read a book this length, but I just couldn't put it down. This military based paranormal romance was action packed from beginning to end, had my emotions in a stranglehold and me gripping the edge of my seat with my adrenaline pumping and cheering the good guys on. It was sexy, steamy, funny, sad, a tad bloodthirsty in places, has a terrific happily everafter and was absolutely wonderful.

I'm not going to give spoilers which limits what I'm prepared to say because, whilst the story is easy to follow, the book simply has too much going on for me to pick things out. Brooke Larner and Edee, her best friend since starting High School have just graduated with Masters Degrees and are on an all expenses paid luxury trip of a lifetime in Egypt, which is great, except neither of them remembers actually entering to win it. But they've worked really hard and are going to enjoy their good fortune before starting their respective careers and the next chapter in their lives. But their first day there changes everything in ways that are completely unexpected and will become obvious as the book progresses. Fresh from being blown up and singed taking down a gunrunner's warehouse, Malik Nasser's life also changes on the same day when he rescues Brooke from an arrogant scumbag, dripping in gold rings, wearing a white pimp suit, surrounded by muscle in designer suits and trying to drag her away. Okay, I'm not going to say anymore, you'll just have to read the book.

Filled with wonderful and diverse supernatural characters including shifters, vampires and fae from previous Immortal Ops World books as well as a few new ones, I felt like I was on a journey with old friends, although for those who haven't read the previous books, there's tons of background so you won't feel like you've missed anything, it can easily be read as a stand alone and there's a handy reading order and series helper at the beginning of the book to help identify who's who in their world. Although the book is written with Mandy Roth's usual humour, there are some seriously funny bits that had me laughing out loud, including drunken singing and a tea party that will stay with me for years. There were also some bits so sad they had me crying but I absolutely loved the story and wouldn't change a thing. I really wish I could give it a lot more than the 5 stars I'm limited to.

Depends on How You Feel about Being Faithful after Meeting Mate

I’ve really enjoyed this series so far, and was looking forward to Tut’s story.

First, I struggled to read this which is always disappointing when you’re looking forward to a book. It was meh. I wanted more development on his history. Any development or backstory on both of them seemed rushed.

Second, the pace was off. It would drag then rush through something interesting then drag again.

Finally - and thus is completely my personal preference which obviously is different for everyone - I absolutely loathe when a hero and heroine meet or hook up then one of them (or both) sleeps (or has any sort of relations) with someone else. It doesn’t matter the reason or logistics. I just don’t like it. I dont want to read about it when I’m reading a “romance” because I don’t find that romantic. I don’t want that sort of reality in my fantasy darn it. It may not be cheating but when I’m reading a romance, it feels like it is.

I’m sure some would argue that he slept with thousands - but that was before he met his mate. I wouldn’t have a problem with her doing the same before she met him.

Even if you don’t mind that, once they’re reunited it’s just weird. I didn’t expect her to immediately fall into his arms but she treats him like he’s not her mate - which is weird because it’s supposed to go both ways. It’s like she’s happy he’s alive and well but treats him like a neighbor. She’s more focused on Gram. When she wakes up, she asks about Gram. Truly the author treated it as if Gram was the heroine’s mate and she and Tut were just previous hook ups moving on to their true mates.

I’m just not feeling it, and those factors together are driving my low score. Plus - in comparison to the rest - this is not up to the standards I expect from the author. This feels like a book rushed to meet a deadline.

We find most of the team 5 PSI (Paranormal Security and Intelligence) Operatives in Egypt on a mission to find dangerous weapons that are particularly dangerous for supernaturals, like them. This is the Team 5 that we have followed along with for years and loved. Malik Nasser, otherwise known to his teammates as TUT for his ancient Egyptian heritage is with them for this mission, as are a couple operatives from London's team 7: Garth and Rurik.

Meanwhile, two rather naive young girls, just graduated with their master's degrees have somehow won a contest for two weeks at a deluxe hotel in Egypt, for a contest that they cannot remember ever entering. They are dressed for hot weather as they would have in the USA... not smart girls. They have been best friends since elementary school. Our heroine, Brooke Larner and her crazy sidekick, redheaded Edee. The limo driver takes Brooke's hand to help her out of the car. He feels cold and empty, just as he did at the airport. Odd. Edee also took his hand and her gaze briefly narrowed. Men from the resort took their bags. Something felt 'off' to Brooke. There were some tall, rich-looking, well-dressed men looking at them. They looked too flashy, especially the man dressed all in white with rings on every finger. He looked like a 'pimp'. One of the men touched his ear and Brooke realized he had an earpiece, like the type security men used.

A different group of men arrived, dressed in black from head to toe with long hair. They managed to make the 'suits' look ugly. One man had a scorched shirt, but the skin beneath it was smooth and blemish-free with a tattoo. They all looked really badass!

What a ride! I LOVED this story! Lots of surprises and possibilities of more stories to come from that masterful storyteller, Mandy Roth. I received this book as an ARC, but the choice to read/review was left to my discretion. I was PLEASED to write this review.

Mandy Roth - Act of Passion: An Immortal Ops World Novel (PSI-Ops/Immortal Ops Book 5)

The Psi-Ops Series from super paranormal author Mandy Roth is an exciting, series filled with hot/sexy and superpowered alpha heroes, spirited heroines, suspense, danger as well as very sexy steamy action and fun snarky humor. If you haven’t read any of this series don’t miss out and get started asap.
Act of Passion is the 5th book of this series and it far exceeded my expectations.
This is Malik’s story, affectionately nicknamed “Tut” by his fellow operatives being he is from ancient Egypt, the son of a god king and of course a lion shifter as well. Being so old Tut has decided finding a true mate just wasn’t going to happen.

Nothing to summarize the story or give spoilers and the many intersecting plots, twists and turns are for the readers to enjoy.
On assignment in Egypt the whole gang shows up ready to party. Each with their own bit of crazy funny the team is even better when they all get together.

Brooke and her outgoing wild friend Edee have won a trip to a resort in Egypt (in a contest they never entered), and they run into some seriously dangerous men. Malik comes to her rescue and the chemistry between Brooke and Malik is off the charts. There’s something different about this “human” woman and the conservative Brooke finds herself unable to resist the pull between them. From here the story explodes with action.

A full length novel that hooks you in from the beginning and takes you on an amazing paranormal, sci-fi, romantic, steamy, heart wrenching ,exciting, hard won HEA journey.

This is book 5 in the PSI-Ops series and I highly recommend you read the previous books (including the Immortal Ops series) before you read this one. Otherwise you will be very confused about a lot of events that they talk about in this book. This one is about Malik "Tut" Nasser who we have seen in some of the previous books. And Brooke Larner who is a human woman that Malik meets in Egypt. Brooke won a trip to Egypt and after graduating college her and her best friend decide to go on it as a present to themselves before they start working. Malik is in Egypt after being sent there with his team on an assignment. Brooke and Malik meet and the next thing he knows he is fighting to claim a human woman as his mate. And hurts her while he is fighting his instincts. Brooke disappears that night, along with her roommate. And Malik spends the next 5 years searching for her, only to run into her in the least expected place. And get's a surprise he definitely wasn't expecting.

This installment was great! I couldn't put it down once I started it! I have always liked the snippets of Malik that we have seen in the other books and this one did not disappoint. Brooke was perfect. She goes from being a sweet and innocent girl to a woman who has been through hell but still fights every day to not only have some sort of life but to keep the people she loves safe. All while kicking butt! It was great!! Now I just need my Scot's book! And Brooke's best friends book! I love how no matter what all these men (and women) have each other's backs and work to ensure that they are all safe and happy.

Ms. Roth has another definite hit. This time around the very immortal Malik has his history told and it all starts with his being a medical volunteer for the PSI-Op lab rats. The group had an assignment in his home country of Egypt so killing two birds with one stone was a no brainer. But oh the consequences. The guys are returning to their hotel when Malik feels his shift coming on (in public no less-a major no-no) when he inhales the most tantalizing aroma and it takes a pile of his buddies to deal with him. This is where the reader is introduced to Brooke and her wacky and fun loving friend Edee. These two won a contest for 2 weeks in Egypt; a contest they can't remember entering. But what the heck, after years of studying they look at this as a deserved prize for all their hard studies. Thus sets in motion the rest of the book. One night of passion leads to five years of intense searching on both Malik's and Brooke's searching for each other. Brooke is what Malik needs so desperately and Malik is what Brooke wants. Both have a secret each is afraid to tell the other; a secret when revealed will alter the lives of everyone within their sphere of contact. And the one other major character introduced is Bethany; the key to their future. You will just have to read this book to find out the answers. For my review I was given an ARC.

I have tried to leave an honest review without any spoilers since I detest having a book spoiled in a line I love reading. I love this whole series. That said this is hands down my new favorite book in the entire Ops series. I started reading this book at around 11 pm and did not put it down until I finished. Sleep be damned when I am pulled into a book as good as this one. I admit sometimes I’m left wishing for a longer story but this book more than makes up for any book I felt that way about. I have been eagerly awaiting Tut’s story with the buildup in previous books about things that happened in the past, a forced sabbatical and such. I will start with the fact that there are more characters introduced that I cannot wait to see more of; sweet Edee… that’s all I’m saying there. Aside from that, I have a girl crush on our heroine, Brooke. Talk about a woman who overcomes and is a total badass. I want to be her when I grow up. Tut is amazing. It had been insinuated that he was super old. Boy is he. The seven degrees of separation between Tut and Brooke is fascinating. I love the Boys, as usual, and I am going to be jumping for joy when they finally bring down The Corporation because you know they will be victorious (though please, please, please make me wait a really long time Ms. Mandy). You will not be sorry with this one, I might have already read it twice.

This starts and ends fantastically but there is a part that upsets me.
Have waited a very long time to get Malik’s story and I ended up feeling sorry for him.
He was cheated by the suppressant drugs, lost Brooke to the Corporation and then his own team didn’t help him keep looking to find Brooke.
Five years later he comes across her again, only to find she has powers and has been living with another man. Just a big no no for me.
Malik has done nothing to deserve what happened.
Yes, he has been with thousands of women but he has also been alive for thousands of years.
He had toned down his manwhore ways, though he had not let the guys know. He only had sex when he needed to keep his beast sated.
He has been faithful to Brook since his night with her.
Things all get explained as to why Brooke was with another man and it makes sense but I had this feeling of sadness for Malik.
Enjoyed having the teams interacting with each other and the banter.
Brooke’s parentage was interesting too.
Loved Striker showing a softer side of himself and Brooke’s best friend Edee, what a laugh having a female Striker.
Bethany seems like she is going to be something special.
Read through Kindle Unlimited.

This is one of those series with so many parts that you would think it’s hard to keep track — but it isn’t. Malik, son of a god king, a PSI operative lion shifter, and older than dirt, is in Egypt with his team and others. While trying not to kill Striker they meet two American women, Brooke and Edee. After one thing leads to another, he feels out of control and mate’s Brooke. Shortly after mating , Brooke and Edee are kidnapped and he and his friends look for them. For five years they search, not because of the mating since they were only human and obviously the mating couldn’t take, but because Malik couldn’t let her go. Their unlikely reunion and everything that subsequently happens make for a fantastic story. The humor in this story, in the midst of everything else, was great. My only concern was not about the story, but the cover, which is why it didn’t influence my rating. Malik “Tut” Nasser is supposed to be an ancient Egyptian. Why is the cover model used a Caucasian? I like when covers accurately reflect the character(s). Even when using stock photos, there had to be one that looked closer in complexion to a North African.

Act of Passion definitely started out that way and ended that way. The road in the middle wasn't so easy tho, not for Malik nor for Brooke. Their story was a great build up for each other as well as a continuation of the threat that The Corporation resents. I was engaged in their story from the start and didn't want to stop until they had conquered everything in the way of their HEA.

While it is part of the PSI Ops/Immortal Ops series, I didn’t feel that you'd miss too much by not reading the previous books. The biggest things would be the way the characters interact and who they are. This book, does a good job of filling that in if you didn't already know.

While I love the books by this author, I do always feel weird when characters are having conversation that reveal the past in front of other characters that are not participating in the current conversation. I know this is a method so that we as the reader can be let in on what has happened to the person. It just feels odd to me. That is the only reason for a lower star rating. Otherwise, I love the characters and the series. I can't wait until Striker meets his match!

How excited am and I and all the other PSI fans. Tut get's his story and it is quite a story. Always in control, Tut was the perfect test subject for the drug that could affect control of the animal inside. It was also the time he met a woman who drew out his lion as well as the man. A night of passion is all it could be. She is human, not mate material.
Five years later he's never forgotten her. When they meet again she just wants to run. He wants to see her again. Things have changed. She isn't the sweet young woman he met yet her pull is even stronger. What has changed? When he learns her secret how will they deal?
I couldn't put down. Loved the banter pre-mates from the team, the hijinks, the steam, and the world building that has always fascinated me.
If you are already a fan you won't want to miss it. If you are new to the PSI, you will be a fan after you read it. A winner and already on my re-read list.
I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy and I have not been compensated in any way.

Tut finds his mate only to then loose her

I have always found Tut/Malik to be a bit of a mystery. A character who has stayed in the sidelines of the rest of the series, in this book we find out why. He lost his mate, five years ago he met Brooke while on assignment in Egypt and even though he believed her to be human he could not stop himself from giving in to the urge to mate her. Unfortunately Brooke was then kidnapped and has spent five years searching fruitlessly for her. This all changes when his closest friend Abassi takes him to a strip club to celebrate his birthday non birthday. I really enjoyed this book Brooke is a strong woman who knows what she wants and doesn't spend time dithering about but makes her mind up quickly and sticks to it, even though she and Edee(her best friend) spent eight months being tortured, abused and experimented on they have kept their best for life. Her friend Edee is a pill i can't wait to see who she gets paired with it should be an excellent book.

This is one of those series that keeps getting better with each and every book that comes out. This is one example of how good it is getting- Act of Passion by Mandy M Roth is Malik’s book in the PSI-Ops series. Malik, son of a god king, a PSI operative lion shifter- a man who is old yet doesn’t look it. He has some secrets that he hides from his teammates. While in Egypt with his team and others, he meets two American women, Brooke and Edee. Malik is immediately pulled toward Brooke. He doesn’t know why but the connection is intense and strong with her. Malik thinks its only the meds that’s causing the feelings that he feels towards her. But after a hot and passionate night when Malik all but proposes to her, he suddenly kicks her out and pushes her away, not realizing he does to protect her from the shift that is being forced on him. I bet you wonder if Malik wised up and went to seek Brooke’s forgiveness…well thing is, Brooke was kidnapped along with her friend. Whats a sexy god-lion to do? Fast forward 5 years and Malik is still searching for Brooke every chance he gets. He smells that unique scent of hers nearby and it drives him practically insane. This story takes on some huge twists and turns, especially when Malik finds out where Brooke has been the past several years. Plus there is a story between Striker and Edee. I love the PSI men and their women. This is filled with passion, intrigue, action and paranormal fun. I love reading about all the couples and the villains and things that are going on. Do Malik and Brooke get their HEA? Only way to find out is to read this intense PNR read.

My Rating: 4.6 stars *****

This is a great book; this is the fifth book in the PSI-Ops/Immortal Ops series and is written by Mandy Roth. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

Malik, aka Tut, is as old as time.
He’s an Egyptian prince who didn’t want to be royalty.
Now he’s a member of PSI/Immortal Ops.
Five years ago, he did the unthinkable, and laid claim to a human woman, spent a night of passion with her, told her he loved her, then - told her to get out.
Brooke didn’t need to be told twice.
The thing is, he’d told her to leave as his lion was roaring to the surface and his fellow I Ops had to subdue him.
That same night, Brooke and friend Edee are kidnapped by ‘Mr Rings’, an early employee of the Corporation.
Five years later, they get a lead on the missing Brooke and Malik has to make amends for how he treated her.
I really enjoyed this one, because it combined fights, intrigue, erotica, romance, a full cast of I Ops characters and - tea parties with massive shifters.

Act of Passion

Just finished and my heart's still pounding with the excitement of it. Wow, such a great story from Ms Roth, Mallik has been a presence in many of the Immortal Ops books but I'd never guessed that there was such depth to him. We knew he was an Ancient Egyptian lion shifter, that he'd had to have enforced leave as he'd lost control of his beast in a very public place.
This is the best so far, and well worth the wait. To enjoy fully please read the other books in the series,at least. I reread the Immortal Ops world books, again, in the suggested reading order, at the beginning of each book, before reading Act of Passion, I can recommend that! Bring on the next one, please.
