I had the wrong man’s baby. Now he’s back for another.
Avery
I’m supposed to be a good person. I shouldn’t have gotten involved with a guy like Luke. Let alone have his baby. He’s wrong for me, but he feels so right. Wicked smile, arms like steel, dangerous as hell. I gave him everything. My kiss. My body. My submission. He took care of me, made me feel special. And the he disappeared for five long years. Now he’s coming back, and I should be afraid. He says he want more than just his baby. He wants to get me pregnant again. Instead of running, I might give him what he craves.
Luke
I went to prison for a crime I didn’t commit. Anger, resentment, and the memory of Avery’s kiss kept me going. But after five years, I’m coming home. And I want my baby. But Avery’s family hates me. The whole town thinks I’m a killer. None of that matters. I’m going to get my fill of Avery. When I’m finished, she’ll beg for more. She’ll beg for another baby. And I’ll give it to her.
Babymaker is an over-the-top romance with tons of steamy scenes and bad language. It’s only recommended for readers 18+.
Babymaker is a STANDALONE, full-length novel. No cliffhanger. Guaranteed HEA. Includes bonus content!

I have no idea where all of the 4 and 5 star reviews cane from on this book, because that's not what I read. First of all, the description is misleading, it reads like he got her pregnant and disappeared into thin air, then came back and tried to immediately get her pregnant again, but she knew where he was the whole time, it was her choice not to stay in contact with him. Secondly, they were high school sweethearts, her family just didn't like him because he was from the wrong side of the tracks, he wasn't actually a bad boy. Thirdly, this should have been labeled young adult, both because of their ages and the tenor of the story. And last but not least, it was like reading the script of a badly written soap opera.
She got pregnant at 16. He got sentencsed for a murder he did not commit. 5 years later he was released with her help. He was busy finding out the one who was responsible for the murder. Not much romance just fucking here and there to scratch their 5 years barren sex life. Huh
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Luke was convicted of a crime he didn't commit and was sentenced to prison for 30 years. Five years in it was proved that he was innocent. Avery had his son while he was in prison and was instrumental in finding the proof.
I find B. B. Hamel's books are well-written with excellent storylines. In Babymaker, Ms. Hamel weaved a romance story of scandals, suspense, mystery, secrets, twists, turmoil, revenge, deceit, justice, second chances, love and of course, a happily ever after.

This is way more than a love story. The characters are strong and you want a hea for them throughout the book. The writing is strong and character build is great. This is an enjoyable read. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This was one heck of a page turner! It starts right out the gate with drama making you intrigues and it never lets up with the mystery. Add in the love and second chance and this is a true winner. I absolutely loved this book amd could not put it down! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book. Hero, Luke = 5/5 Heroine, Avery = 5/5 Chemistry = 5/5 Sex = 5/5 Plot = 4/5 Mystery = 4/5 Action = 2/5 Darkness = 2/5 Humor = 1/5 POV = dual Would I recommend this book = yes Would I re-read this book = yes Would I read future books by this author = yes
I love Avery & Luke’s story. This story is a forbidden love and mystery story. Luke & Avery love each other and now are going to be young parents but an accident has Luke going to jail. Both know in their hearts it was a set up and Avery will do anything to free Luke. With lies and betrayal this was a story that you won’t want to put down. Love the story and characters and the story flowed perfectly.

This really is quite an exceptional story that has lots of twists and turns; these complement the book, enhancing the overall enjoyment of the story. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would have no hesitation in recommending it. Avery and Luke, though from different backgrounds, fall in love, but their feelings for one another are tested to the limit. Luke loses 5-years of his life for a crime he didn’t commit; worse still is the fact he doesn’t hear a word from Avery in all that time, much less information about his new born son. Unbeknown to Luke, while he has been in prison, Avery has devoted every spare moment of her time to proving his innocence.
5-years and not a word to Luke. It killed Avery every single day, but she did what she had to do, which was to get her Associates Degree, get a job and take care of her son; but she didn’t give up on Luke, even though she knows her family will never accept him. Luke is a Harper and somehow not good enough for the Seller family. As youngsters Avery and Luke were inseparable, everyone wondering why Avery would be with a guy like Luke Harper, a bad boy from a bad family, a kid more into cars than anything else. Luke never thought he would be back in Coldwyn, the town that turned its back on him and called him a killer, locking him up for a crime he didn’t commit. But Luke has come back to Coldwyn for one reason, and one reason only, to see Avery again and to get his son; Avery is everything to him, the only girl he has ever loved. Finding out who framed him, who set him up, that’s all just an excuse, even if he does seek retribution for the years he has lost. As the story unfolds, Luke eventually finds out that Avery had been working tirelessly behind the scenes to secure his release. Together, with the help of a PI, they begin to piece together the actual true events of that fateful night when they were torn apart from each other. Luke has his suspicions; now all he has to do is find the proof. A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.
I confess here and now that I am a great fan of BB Hamel's stories. Up to now most of them have been really just romances, but this latest story, Babymaker, has mystery and suspense that is just so good as it fits in beautifully with the romance between Luke and Avery to where they were torn apart because set him up to take the blame for murdering someone. I took a major dislike to some of Avery's relatives as they were cruel to her and they had secrets that would only be revealed towards the end of the story. But Avery is no ditsy young woman. Oh NO! She loves her Man with a passion and loyalty that I don't think he even he suspected to be as great as his passion and love for her. When she works whilst he ia incarcerated to save every dollar to hire an investigator to prove that he he is innocent. Such a really clever plot that is intricate and so well timed that it's almost as if it's happening before your very eyes. Now with Luke out he wants revenge on who set him up and who did the murder? Secrets keep emerging but will they tear this couple and their little boy apart? They have been through so much together and their love has remained true. A simply fantastic read that you will not want to put down until the murder is solved and the guilty punished. I'm sure that you won't regret the time reading this. I love this more dramatic storyline by BB Hamel and I hope that she will do more like this as it's surely a winning book. I have purchased this book mas it is so good.I will be re-reading this as it is exceptional. I received an arc of this book and voluntarily leave my honest review of it here. DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED. The bonus stories are excellent too!
Well now! Isn't that just like a small town? Having the biggest scandals going on right under everyone's noses! This one is a pretty big scandal, Luke, and Avery, high school, loves and best friends, but from different sides of the tracks. When one family goes out of their way to tear them apart, you would think that would break the high school loves bond- all it did was strengthen that beautiful connection. Luke comes back to the town that had turned against him 5 years prior he has some big agendas; 1) find the real people responsible for what he was charged with. 2) Claim whats rightfully his. He won't stop until he settles these things, he was put away for a long time, missed so many things. He has to make this right. Will it be all worth it for him and Avery? What a throw caution to the wind tale! Sexy with a suspenseful twist, this second chance heart squeeze was a maddening, hug it out, awe-inspiring lovefest and emotional turmoil! I could not get enough! Seemed to be a bit different writing style than other books, by Ms, Hamel, that alone intrigued me on even more! Creatively written characters, ( that Avery, she drove me nuts, good grief she was WORRIED about WHAT? * smacks forehead*) great details and a happily flowing book making it a one sitting cover to cover read! Once again B.B. Hamel has created something different, fun, sexy and makes my heart happy! One you should check out for yourself!
This is the story of Avery and Luke. They have known each other for years. The started a passionate relationship, loved each other, and been torn apart. This is a unique best friend’s story in that there is both passion and love and action and mystery. The story takes you from love to heartbreak to redemption to a well-deserved HEA.
As a reader you find yourself sucked in and involved in a passionate affair, a deceitful lie, and a hardship for both of these characters. They fall in love, create an amazing child (a boy) and then Luke is sent to prison. As a reader, along with Avery and Luke we know that Luke did not commit “his” crime. There has been some kind of deceit. I will say that the villain of this story was a bit of a surprise and a bit heart breaking.
This author knows how to write, and she never disappoints. This story was so much more than any reader will think. The brief description does not do it justice. This is a full and complete story that will have the reader absorbed and begging for more. I loved this story and highly recommend it. I received an ARC and am leaving an honest review.
I am a huge fan of Ms Hamel's books, and this one is my new favourite. It feels a little different from her previous books in that one of the the main characters (Luke) has just been released from prison after five years, having been acquitted after new evidence was presented. Avery, his girlfriend at the time, has given birth to their son, Max, and has not had any contact with Luke. With Luke's release comes his desire to absolutely clear his name by finding the actual killer, and those who framed him. Luke's anger towards Avery is short lived; they team up, both to clear his name and get to know each other again. Avery has been devoted to Luke in the background and has never stopped loving him. There is some dark family stuff which I would have loved to know more about. Lots of little twists and turns before Luke finds justice, peace, and love with Avery. Great read with Ms Hamel's hallmark filthy talking male, which I enjoy so much!
I received an arc of this book and have voluntarily reviewed it.
This a love story gone wrong in a small town about Avery and Luke. Avery is from a wealthy family with money that like to control her every move. Luke is a young man who comes from a bad family and the wrong side of town even though he is a smart young man with a good heart. They fall in love as high school sweethearts and Avery ends up pregnant. These two plan on making a go of it but an unfortunate event occurs and some how Luke goes down for the crime and ends up serving five years in prison. Once he is freed due to new evidence and proven not to be quilty he only wants revenge for the wrong done to him. Avery has never forgotten him for one day and does a very unshelfish thing by pouring her heart and soul into getting the proof needed to free Luke. Will Luke be able to win Avery and his son, Max back? Will the real killer ever be revealed and at what cost will it come to Luke and Avery? I voluntary reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
This was such a great story, so much so that I read it in one sitting. Avery and Luke were high school sweethearts from opposite sides of the tracks. They loved each other despite what the town and her family thought. A rushed trial and false imprisonment stole five years of their lives together. Despite everything, Avery never once wavered in her belief in Luke's innocence. She risked everything to get him freed. Now that he's back, will they be able to pick up where they left off? Will he be able to have a relationship with his son? Will her family finally let her be happy? I recommend reading this one to find out! I was cheering for Avery and Luke the whole time, all while wanting to reach through my eReader and punch every Seller and Walker. I'm pretty sure you'll feel the same if you pick this one up. *I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is my honest review.*

This book is amazing if you have ever read one of this authors books you will not be disappointed with this one. This book takes us on a ride with Avery and Luke as we find out what happens when 2 people make a baby but only one of them is there to raise him. It's not like Luke wanted that but that is what he got. Will he get a chance not only with the only woman he can't forget but with his son as well or like everything else he has lost is he just doomed?
This book is amazing it will take you on a journey that will grab you from the first word and not let go till the very end. I want to tell you so much about it but don't want to ruin it for anyone else. I will say this is one of those books once you start you won't want to put it down till you read the end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
Luke has just been released from prison after five years for a crime he didn't commit. Avery is the only one who has ever believed him to be innocent. The whole town believes he's guilty of murder. They were deeply in love 5 years ago when he was accused of murder and Avery was pregnant with his child. So this is a journey to find the Killer and to get his family back. 5 years ago he told her to move on. Now he wants them back in his life, he wants his family. But he also wants his revenge on the people who framed him. But Revenge will come at what cost? Can he have both his revenge and his family back or will he have to give one up? I enjoyed reading Luke and Avery story. Looking forward to reading what B.B. comes out with next.

It tells a truly chilling tale of just how easy it can be to frame someone for something they never did just because they have enough money to make it happen.
Luke gets the raw end of the deal just for loving someone whose family is rich. 5 years wasted not being able to know his son, so sad.
Avery may come from money but her heart has always held her truth. And she stops at nothing to prove the man she loves is innocent, even if it tears her family apart.
A cover-up of murder that hits home. A innocent man searches for the truth. And woman who never gave up. It's all the inbetweens that make this story erupt.
Mature readers, strong language and sexual content.

What a tough situation to be in! I really felt for both Luke and Avery. And it says a lot about their love that neither has been with anyone else during their time apart, well more so for her than him but still. Oh and I super respect her for how she handled everything over the years.
And there is still the mystery and suspense of whodunit, whohidit, and why. This was a good read. I was rooting for them the whole time while trying to see if I could figure out who was guilty. At one point I thought I had it all figured out and I was wrong.
This is told in dual points of view and a hea. And it goes to show that sometimes the only way to have a good and loving family is to make one of your own.
Avery and Luke are separated for 5 years when Luke is wrongfully imprisoned for a crime he did not commit. Now that he is out he wants to see his son, and unveil who is really behind the crimes he was accused of. The chemistry between these two is as intense as it has always been, but when secrets are exposed will this prevent them from having a second chance at happiness? No spoilers; this is an absolute must read, you will not be disappointed! This is a well written, and an amazing storyline which flows seamless, and I was intrigued and captivated from the very beginning. I always highly recommend this authors’ work for all readers, and look forward to reading more of her work! Amazing work!! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book!
This was an okay read. I gave it three stars, not because of the writing itself, but because of the characters. The writing does flow well, but I felt like this story was more YA, and I tend to stay away from those. I feel like the characters are too immature to relate too. Avery says she loves Luke, but doesn't communicate with him at all for 5 years. I understand that her family supported her, so she had to play by their rules, but if you don't like it leave. She acted like she didn't have a choice, but it wasn't that she didn't have a choice, she just chose the easier one. Single moms support themselves everyday. It just irritated me that she acted like there was no other way. They eventually get their HEA, and it was a long time coming.
When by at a fast pace, mystery solving, romance between forbidden class of people, rich but down to earth Avery Seller with a father that is head of the logging mill and is in control of everything including Avery. Poor ‘gutter trash’ Luke Harper that had two crappy parents and the whole towns hate fell onto his shoulders before being wrongfully accoused in a hit and run that killed a women. 5 years wasted from his life, 5 years not having his women and 5 years of not growing to enjoy fatherhood and knowing his baby boy as a baby. Luke might be out of prison but it’s not the last he’ll see of the people involved in his incarceration.

Babymaker is a loose Romeo and Juliet story. However, our couple has a baby and get their HEA. Avery is the good girl with wealth and the famous last name. Luke is the "bad boy", never given a chance to prove himself because people wouldn't look past his last name. Despite everything, these two managed to fall in love, but there are forces working to keep them apart. Luke is wrongly convicted of murder. When anonymous guardian angel helps clear his name, Luke sets out to find the real criminal and to get his family back. Avery has always done what her family ordered, until look. She has decide if she will fight along side of him (while also finally finding her strength), or if she will continue to be passive and let life pass her by.
Luke Harper was sent away to prison for a crime he didn't commit. Leaving behind the woman he loved and their unborn child. Avery Seller has spent every day of the last five years proving that Luke's innocent no matter what her family says. Now Luke is free and he wants revenge on those who put him behind bars. Avery's been warned to stay away from Luke but that's not something she can do because she still loves Luke. Who really committed the crime? Will Luke and Avery get back together? Your answers await you in Babymaker.
Ms. Hamel has a knack for making me think outside the box when it comes to romance. The characters and story are rich, bold, complicated, real, raw, complex, honest, and mysterious too. I look forward to my next adventure with this author.
This is a unique second chance (sort of) romance. Avery and Luke didn't technically break up for the five years they were seperated. No, Luke went to jail for a crime he didn't commit. And, their love never wavered in all that time apart. Their love story is so romantic that you ache for them to get back on steady footing with each other especially, for Max their son. The justice that is served regarding Luke's imprisonment and the happily ever after that follows for Luke and Avery makes this a truly aspiring tale of devotion, loyalty and everlasting love.
I received an ARC and I am leaving a voluntary review.
What a surprising read, the blurb didn’t do justice to this awesome story. Luke was just freed from jail after five years for a crime he didn’t committed. Avery hasn’t spoke to him since, she is all her son has left with his father in prison. They rekindle after five long painful years, but Luke is there for revenge, he needs to clear fully his name, while Avery still lives under the roof of those who hate Luke and probably want him down. It is their road as they try to bring their chattered lives back and patch what can be. They will have to free them from more than jail. This is an amazing story of redemption and letting the past goes. I can only recommend you to give this book a try.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book Oh Luke and Avery , all that time wasted through no fault of their own. Luke being blamed for an accident he didn’t cause and being locked up for 5 years. So heartbreaking. Now Luke is out, wanting to be with Avery and find out the truth. So many people against them, him being “not good enough” and so much more but amongst all the turmoil, mayhem and madness...Avery is the only one who truly , truly loves him. It was good to watch their relationship develop again. Luke getting to know his son Max and wrongs being put right. Good detective work as well. Loved it.
How far would you go for the father of your child?
In the case of Avery, she researched, she hired a PI, and proved that Luke was innocent of the crime he spent five years in jail for. But what if this came at a price and led to estrangement from your family?
Will Luke gain his revenge? Will it bring him closure?
This is a fast moving, well plotted story with lots of tension, a little violence, and some shocking secrets.
The characters are believable, with full back stories.
This story is so much more than the title suggests.
I loved the latest from B.B. Hamel! Luke and Avery are forced apart, just when they should be coming together, when Luke is accused of something he didn't do. 5 years passes and Luke finds himself free and filled with anger and the desire to find who was really behind the crime he was accused of. Avery for her part never gave up on him, even if it seems like she may have, and balanced her crazy family with taking care of her son. Luke and Avery will battle together to find what they should have had for the last 5 years. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
What would you do if the boy you loved and the father of your unborn child is sent away to prison? Would you stand by him? Would you move on with your life? Would you do everything you could to prove his innocence? Avery was put in that situation with Luke, but five years later he is acquitted and comes home. Can the two rekindle their love? Or will the secrets of the crime end the relationship once and for all? With great characters and a storyline that keeps the reader’s attention this book should not be missed.
