Genre: Non-fiction, devotional.

My Rating: 4 Stars.

Recommendation: 13 up.

My thoughts: My only problem with the devotional was that I didn't like the switch in versions of the Bible. (Another reason I used my own Bible.)
Key Verse: I read the key verses in my Bible just because I preferred to but in the devotional, it was easy to read.
Understand: The part where it gave you something to think on, each thing it said to "understand" was thought-provoking and they were good things to consider.
Apply: The part where it gives you something to apply was also thought-provoking.
Pray: Each devotion had a prayer, which I thought they were good starts to a prayer, though I don't necessarily agree with all of them.

This was a nice enough Bible Study but if you want a deeper study, I would suggest looking elsewhere. Of course, the title says it's only 5 minutes. If you want a quick study for an afternoon or such, this is a good one.

*My thanks to Barbour Publishing for a copy of this book. I want not required to leave a review.

This Is a great little book for anyone who wants to try and spend more time reading the Bible. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve started on a ‘read the Bible in a year’ plan and time has got away with me as school starts again and the days just disappear!
This book starts by giving a short routine to help you get into Bible study in chunks of just 5 minutes, though after using it just a of times I can see that time becoming longer.
Key texts, both familiar and unfamiliar (I’ll be honest, I’ve probably never read any of some of the books used for these 5 minute sessions) with a key verse picked out for each and some thought provoking questions. Each day was laid out in the same way with a prayer space to take notes.
I also liked that it was undated. So many of these bible study books have suggested dates or at least day numbers. There doesn’t feel to be the pressure to make sure you read everyday, it’s a personal preference how often it is done. I might even suggest using it for a small group bible study at church. I’ll definitely be picking it up regularly and looking at some of the other studies.

I turned my Kindle on to listen to this being read to me in one sitting. I am pleased that I got an over view of the book by doing this. It finished with me wanting more, not only of the well presented and crafted book, but also of God's Word....
Excellent Bible companion prompting reading, thought, application, and prayer.
93 (enough for 3 months of daily study) starting with Genesis and ending with Revelation, reading several books in between.
Emily Biggers, Author suggests each Bible Study take approximately 5 minutes - this I think may depend upon the speed of reading. Each of the studies lends itself to extended time, and if used each morning further understanding and application as the day progresses.
A book I will now use and happily recommend to friends.

The 5- Minute Bible Study for Women
By Emily Biggers
If reading through the Bible is your goal, this is the perfect book to help you get started on creating the habit and getting familiar with His Word. Habits are hard to make and if you are anything like me sometimes it takes many times before success is reached. Although this book does not take you thoroughly through the Bible, it does give a short passage to read, a study of that section, and a prayer to go along. Truly this is an easy 5 mins minimum habit to make that you won't regret.

I enjoyed this simple devotional. It was short and a great way to begin my morning. I may not have time in the morning hours to delve deep into my Bible but these are perfect when you want to begin your day with God but don't always have a lot of time.

The Five-Minute Bible Study for Women is a book of short devotionals/study guides for the busy woman. Not everyone has time for a long, drawn out Bible study every day; so the author wrote this book to help women still get into the Scripture daily in the spare minutes women do have.

I didn’t read every devotional in this book, but I enjoyed the ones I did read. The book works through the Bible chronologically in its devotionals. Each day’s devotional has: a Scripture reference to read, key verses, bullet points of what we should understand from it, an application section, and a prayer. Now, if it was me doing this, I would probably take my time reading, and so it would take me closer to 10 minutes to do the devotionals. But still, it’s short and practical and can be a useful tool for women to still read the Scripture even during their busy lives.

I recommend this book to other women who want to prioritize God but don’t have too much time for devotionals.

I received a complementary copy of this book. All opinions are my own, and I am not obligated to provide a positive review.

Good book but they used various bible versions as reference. This took away a bit from the book. Thanks to NetGalley, the authors and the publisher for the ARC of this book in return for my review. Receiving the book in this manner had no bearing on my rating for this book.
