A steamy friends to lovers/second chance romance. Quick read that has a hot alpha and a feisty heroine that will set your kindle on fire. The chemistry between them was intense. Loved the back story and how they reconnected and finally got the HEA they deserved in high school. Great read that is perfect for a quiet evening at home with a glass of wine.

Zane by Jessika Klide a festive favourite five-star read. This is a stand-alone read that is part of the Scrooged Christmas collection. Zane Lockhart is known as Sargent Scrooge due to his ba humbug attitude, when his new partner Batman a K9 officer actually called Bruce Wayne brings a different view to his story. This is a great story, and I could be biased as I love dogs so Bruce was a favourite of mine along with Sargent Scrooge.
Great story, well done Jessika Klide on a thrilling and saucy festive story that I’m sure will be a read I will be checking out every year.

“Is that Mr. Dream-cember?” “Who?” Her friend asks confused. “The hot cop on the Faces of the Force calendar. Mr. December. Come on, let’s go get a selfie with him.”
Short and sweet. A hot cop and a gorgeous stripper run into each other in Las Vegas and sparks fly. Then the heart gets involved once he remembers her! I didn’t expect the It was cute. It made the love more realistic.

This is the first ever story from this author that I have read and I found it to be an enjoyable short story. Zane is a K9 officer with his four legged partner Batman. He comes across an old high school love and agrees on a date.
What did I like? Despite being short it really checked off all the boxes. Loved Batman and the scenario in which Zane helps the Pizza place owner. Plus the dynamic with Laura gave the story a lusty jest. Four stars for entertainment!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. This is a short quick read with a HEA ending.
Zane has had nothing but bad experiences with Christmas time. He's a k-9 cop and they all call him Sergeant Scrooge for his bah humbug attitude. He's out patrolling with Batman when he runs across an old friend.
They decide to get together for dinner. Only that dinner doesn't turn out quite as he expected.

EXCELLENT SEXY CHRISTMAS READ!!! This short story by Jessika Klide is amazing. Hot alpha male...check. Beautiful, sexy leading lady...check. Even has a dog you can't help but love. This story gives a whole new meaning to the term Bah Humbug! I loved it!!!

A Must Read Holiday Story! Zane is reunited with an old friend from his past in this hot novella by Jessika Klide. Him along with his sidekick K9 Batman had me in stitches with the humor from the author. Loved it!

Where do I start? I loved this short story, it kept me engaged the whole time and I mean seriously who doesn’t love a police K9 named Batman? Awesome read filled with a fast paced read, romance, action and K9 love
Many years ago Zane & Laura were friends who bonded living next to Each other and sharing a hard family upbringing but Zane suddenly moves without a word.
Zane was the Basketball jock and Laura was the nerdy shy girl at school - they were from two totally different social classes at school but after school they were the same, two teenage kids that confided in each other.
Years later Laura bumps into
Zane and his dog Batman, Laura is instantly attracted to him but doesn’t realise it’s Zane until he speaks. Zane however hasn’t realised the girl who has captured his undivided attention is the girl he used to share secrets with every night.
Loved this short story which was packed with action and swoon worthy scenes!

Laura is a professional dancer who is enjoying a rare night off when she comes across Zane, a sexy cop, and his K9 partner, Batman, who she recognizes from their pasts even if he doesn’t.
Zane is enchanted from Laura from the moment he sees her and convinces her to go on a date when his shift ends. Their evening is filled with suspense and heat and turns into a night that neither will ever forget.
I really enjoyed Laura and Zane’s story, but I would have liked an epilogue into their future.

arc given for a honest review.. I have read quite a few of this authors book.. :) This was a super fast Christmas read. Zane the Cop who hates Christmas, Laura the dancer from the past, and Batman? Everyone loves Batman..
This book is part of a collaborated collection with ten different authors and they are all connected by A Scrooged Christmas theme..

This is a quick Christmas read and Zane packs a punch with his Alpha attitude,nothing matters but him he is selfish,arrogant and down right rude but hes known for his scrooge ways until he has a blast from the past Laura who catches his eye.This was a fun book I liked the characters their attitudes and Batman Zanes partner was a great addition to the story.I voluntarily read a readers copy of this book

I enjoyed this one sitting read. Next door neighbors and secret sharers Laura and Zane were friends.
Although from different social circles they were important to each other.
When they are reunited years later with Zane and his K9 officer Batman the sparks are there. Love second chance and friends to lovers stories and this one was a great read. Enjoyed these characters; especially Batman. I am volunteering to leave a review for this book

Sexy and fun! Zane, A.K.A Sergeant Scrooge could care less about Christmas. It's just another day, until a blast from his past makes him question his opinion of the holiday. I enjoyed reading this story and am loving this series about Scrooges and the women who try to change their Bah Humbug attitudes.

December 30, 2017Wow what a hot, steamy, sexy, quick read! I truly enjoyed this story. I really wish it were longer though - I couldn't get enough of Zane and "Batman". Being at the right place at the wrong time can change your destiny. I love cocky bad guys and strong women! Awesome book – Bah Humbug Motherf*ckers!

I was looking for quick read and this one fit the bill. Zane is not a Christmas person. He's had a past of not good things happening around Christmastime. While working he meet Laura and goes on a date. It's not until later that he realizes that he knows Laura from before and this Christmas might just be one that Zane enjoys. I liked this one and would so read more of Zane and Laura.

This was a cute, quick read but it packed a punch! Zane and Laura knew each other growing up. Their friendship was blossoming into something more when Zane and his family left town without a word. They meet up again and sparks fly. I really enjoyed reading their story. My only complaint is I wish it was longer!

Looking for a hot sexy Christmas read then look no further. This book has it all the hero always gets the girl and batman gets a reward. I loved this story as part of an exciting hot romance Christmas anthology you won’t want to put down. Highly recommend as a must read.

Quick read! Zane finally has a great Christmas. Christmas in the past for him has been bad memories, but he meet Laura again from his past. They have a great Christmas together.
