A warm, humorous story with engaging characters that introduces valuable life lessons to children 5–10 years old.
The Ellie Anders book series helps parents and teachers engage children with valuable life lessons including building self-confidence; valuing friendship and family; appreciating a community; not following the crowd, making responsible choices; taking pride in what we do; and doing well in school.
Ellie Anders has a good life. She has wonderful parents, a furry dog named Sam, and a pretty-okay little brother. She plays tennis, eats pizza, and swaps toys and games with her best friend Lex. But a new school project is threatening to disrupt it all. Her free-spirited teacher, Miss Parker, has assigned an impossible project. Ellie must choose who’s the most important person in her life.
Craig Kunce's chapter book (110 pages), Ellie Anders: The Impossible School Project, is cute story with several illustrations. It tells the story of third grader, Ellie. She lives in Oak Forest with her Mom, Dad, brother, and dog Sam. Her life is good except for one thing. Her teacher, Miss Parker, has assigned a project that involves picking the most important person in your life to do a presentation about. Who should she pick? I think children will relate to Ellie and enjoy reading this book. I enjoyed it!
Ounce offers this sweet tale of a quiet girl happy to be herself as she finds her way in third grade. 'Ellie Anders' is a great read for early chapter readers.
