This is a story of office romance. Forbidden and naughty. It is actually very entertaining read. I was quite entertain by the chemistry between Ronan and Selene. I even can relate to Selene. Career driven and clueless in dating life. Always picking up a safe men.
Ronan is what makes me confuse. After such horrific accident in his past, I do not have a connection how he struggle and his grieving process. I think when horrific accident involved, the author should at least putting in a survival story. The plot can be darken a bit. In Always Will, Ronan is more easy going guy. Even his reason to pull away from Selene seems ridicule.
Overall this book is OK read. Not too heavy and quite entertaining.

I really do like Claire Kingsley's writing and this book was really wonderful. I appreciate female characters that kick ass in their chosen profession and Selene certainly did that. Ronan should have been obnoxious but really wasn't and I can appreciate that.

Selene in questa storia mi è piaciuta molto, si è anche notato il suo cambiamento nei confronti della relazione di suo fratello e la sua migliore amica. Selene è un po’ amareggiata per il fatto di non riuscire ad avere una relazione come la loro, nonostante ci metta molto di se stessa nei rapporti con gli uomini. Quando ritorna Ronan nella sua vita, inizialmente cerca di allontanarlo, perché una delle sue regole è quella di non avere altri rapporti con i suoi colleghi, se non professionali o d'amicizia. Ronan però non è d’accordo con questa regola, così gliene propone altre; Selene si sentirà nuovamente intrigata da quest'uomo che non ha mai dimenticato, cercherà di resistergli, ma come ho già detto, lui ama i rischi e di certo lei non lascerà sfuggirsi questa sfida silenziosa e deliziosa. Se amate il genere, non potete perdervi questa storia emozionante, fresca e molto piacevole, dove non mancheranno le scene bollenti, i battibecchi, la seduzione, l’amicizia, l'amore per la famiglia e tanto altro ancora...

CK is one of my absolute favorite authors, I've read most of the books she's published until now. However, this has been (by far) my least favorite one.
So I guess that you could say that this is a second chance / office romance. Ronan buys the company where Selene works and from the start throws sexual innuendo her way in an absolutely unprofessional manner / borderlining on sexual harassment... 🙄🤦🏼♀️😩
Then, after she's been s*xually assaulted at a bar by another guy, he insisted in staying with her overnight at her place to "protect her" (even though her best friend and brother could have looked after her perfectly). The next morning, he almost forces a kiss on her that escalates to more... and this is so wrong on so many levels. I can't even believe it 🤬😡😤 I mean, she was still frail from the assault, vulnerable, and possibly traumatized. But all he could think about was getting into her pants? I mean, hello? Isn't the MMC supposed to be a good guy?? 🤯
Then, while they are being intimate for the first time, Ronan asks: "Do you need me to get a condom, first?" And Selene responds: "I've got it covered (as in, I'm on the pill)." Hmmmm... okaaaaay... 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ Why include a line in the book where the MMC asks about protection, only to then be so unclear about their health? hello, STD's 👋, ya'll are welcome!
After they've had s*x for the first time, Ronan displays a complete disregard for her career and what she says bout it. Selene mentions that it will be frowned upon amongst her colleagues if the people at the office, whom she works with and respect her, find out about their relationship. In response, he says that he wants to have s*x with her at his office's desk... I can't. I was really tempted to DNF at this point.
Also, Selene was avoiding getting together with her best friend and brother after getting assaulted because she started hooking up with Ronan shortly after and didn’t want to explain/admit to this. What kind of sister and best friend is she, keeping all these secrets from her closest family?? Perhaps it's because Ronan is a waking, taking red flag and they would most likely point it out... 🤷.
Final thoughts: Feel free to skip this book. I would love to forget that I ever read it and pretend like it doesn't exist.

I’m a Clair Kingsley fan. I think with this story I’ve read everything she’s had published. I never thought the day would come that I would give one of her books less than a 3 Star rating. Hell, normally they get 4 and even 5 stars from me. But I found a big part of the plot for Always Will, the second book in her Always series disturbing. Five years ago, Selene and Ronan were co-workers. Ronan persistently asked Selene to go out with him and she just as persistently refused telling him she didn’t date co-workers. After a farewell party on Ronan’s last day Selene relents and has a one-night sex-a-thon with Ronan. He leaves the next morning without even saying goodbye. Selene never hears from him again. Fast forward five years and Ronan has purchased the company Selene now works at as the brand manager. Here’s where I find this story disturbing to the point that all of Kingsley's carefully crafted writing can’t make it go away. It amazes me that me, a male reader has such a big issue with what goes on in this story while the female readers have no problem with it. Once Ronan spots Selene during his introductory conference with his management staff he begins aggressively pursuing her for a sexual relationship. He’s not even subtle as he tells her he wants to fuck her on his desk in his office. He flirts with her in front of other employees. This sexual harassment continues in and out of the office. This is just wrong. How am I ever supposed to respect a hero who doesn’t understand sexual harassment in the workplace? It doesn’t matter that they had a brief sexual history no matter how hot it was. It doesn’t matter that he thinks when she says no, he really believes she wants to say yes. No means no and she shouldn’t even be faced with having to rebuff his advances. She’s his employee, he’s her boss. He just shouldn’t go there. Period. Okay, so Ronan eventually achieves some sense of awareness of just what a selfish prick he’s been. And to Selene’s credit she acknowledges that she allowed herself to be a willing participant, capitulating every time he crossed a line. Still, even though they ended up having a wonderful, sexy (kinky) romance with a sweet happily ever after, his early behavior just left me with a sour taste in my mouth. But apparently I’m the only Goodreads reviewer that was so affected by this part of the story. If you can get by the whole sexual harassment thing it truly is a very nice contemporary romance.

I hate these characters and I hate this book. Ronan starts off with sexually harassing Selene, bordering on sexual assault. I'd give it 0/5 if I could. I love everything else by Claire Kingsley but this is a horrible disappointment.

Buongiorno a tutte! Oggi vorrei parlarvi del mio ultimo libro letto: “Sarà per sempre” di Claire Kingsley, che ho già avuto modo di conoscere e apprezzare per la sua scrittura diretta e sagace nei suoi precedenti libri. In questo, conosceremo a fondo Selene, sorella di Braxton, del quale abbiamo letto in “Sempre e solo lei”, primo libro della serie Always. Diciamo che, come a qualcuna di voi, Selene non mi stava particolarmente simpatica, tuttavia, devo dire che in questo scritto l'ho apprezzata. È una donna indipendente e brillante, che sa il fatto suo e sa tener testa al protagonista maschila di questa storia, Ronan Maddox, il che non è propriamente semplice. A Selene piaccioni gli uomini sbagliati e anche stavolta non è da meno, visto che Ronan è il suo capo. Prova quindi a stargli lontano, ma come fai se lui stesso non fa che cercarla? L'attrazione è evidente, è palpabile, ma c'è di più. Ronan ama correre rischi, è un drogato di adrenalina, ha costantemente bisogno di qualcosa che lo faccia sentire vivo, per non pensare ad un evento traumatico vissuto anni prima che l'ha segnato profondamente e Selene riesce a fargli sentire la vita scorrergli nelle vene, lo stimola, lo soprende e lui ad un certo punto è spaventato dai suoi stessi sentimenti. L'amore spaventa? Sì, non prendiamoci in giro. Per viverlo, però, dobbiamo essere pronti a correre qualche rischio, anche bruciarsi con quella stessa passione che lo alimenta. Non è facile vivere una relazione quando si lavora insieme in una grande azienda. I pettegolezzi sono all'ordine del giorno e questo aspetto condiziona un po' Selene, ma ciò che sente per Ronan riesce ad abbattere i suoi dubbi e le sue barriere...
Peccato che Ronan, come tutti gli uomini, o quasi, ad un certo punto si tira indietro per paura di non essere in grado di stare vicino a una donna come lei. Che combineranno alla fine i due? L'epilogo è dinamico come tutto il libro in più di un senso e sarà divertente per voi leggerlo.
“Sarà per sempre” mi ha tenuto compagnia facendomi passare qualche ora piacevole perciò ve lo consiglio.
Io resto in attesa di leggere il terzo volume della serie!

Can I give this negative stars!?!
Claire Kingsley is on of my favorite authors and I've loved everything else I've read by her but this is crap and I will not finish!
I really dislike both the main characters, to the point of hate. Ronan is sexually harassing Selene! She repeatedly says no and he just keeps going. He even grabs the back of her neck after she was very clear she is not interested. That shit is not sexy or cute, it's illegal, horrible and scarring!! She can't hear his inner monologue so as far as she is concerned all he wants is to screw her on his desk (as he keeps telling her he wants!) and he is surprised she is saying no?? He even gets angry with her when she tells him it was a mistake to sleep with him the first time.. You know when he knew she was drunk, had sex with her even though she has a rule about sleeping with coworkers, left and never called her again! Seriously I can not.. he's a controlling jackass that should be in jail.
Also.. Selene a bitch. She can't make up her mind if she dislikes Ronan or if she wants to fuck him! She keeps saying no, then agrees to have a solo dinner with him. She says she is so hard up for sex and totally horny (hate that word) but she is not interested in you know sleeping with her boyfriend!? Because O yeah, for about 25% of this book she is seeing someone else and even flirts with Ronan via text while ON A DATE with the other guy! She strings poor Aidan along even though she is not interested in him just because he is a "good guy", and yes he seems like a tool and boring as hell that's really not an excuse!
Maybe I should have read further to see if there were any redeeming qualities to either of them but the characters and plot pisses me of to a point I just can't. Saddened and disappointed.. Going to re-read the Miles fam and Bailey brothers books again to get the bad taste out of my mouth.

Enjoyed this one a little more than the previous Always book. It was good to see Selene get her HEA. After seeming like a party girl in the first book, we get to see her driven side as she deals with a new situation at work. She and Ronan are appealing characters. He isn't a big enough jerk to count as a damaged asshole, but he is damaged, and he is super cocky. Like Kingsley's other books that I've read, the conflict is natural and not forced. Highly recommended!

Auch wenn das Buch erst heute bei mir eingezogen ist, hab ich es schon als Hörbuch beendet. Es war wieder gut für zwischendurch, auch wenn ich noch immer die anderen Bücher besser fand. Aber ich kann es mir gut als Urlaubslektüre vorstellen. Selene hat sich im ersten Band nicht von ihrer besten Seite gezeigt, aber hier mag man sie echt gern, man muss auch im Auge behalten, dass sie schon früh ihre Eltern verloren hat und das auch nicht einfach ist. Freue mich jetzt auf jeden Fall auf die gemeinsame Serie mit Lucy Score, die bald erscheinen wird. 🥰

Tre stelline e mezzo
Una storia carina dalla lettura scorrevole. I due protagonisti sono ben caratterizzati e i battibecchi tra loro due sono strepitosi. C'è solo una cosa che non mi piace: ho trovato il finale della storia un po' frettoloso, avrei preferito che fosse stato dedicato più spazio al momento di crisi della storia tra Selene e Ronan. Tutto sommato è un libro che tiene ottima compagnia.

I liked the story. We also got to see married Braxton and Kylie. The three are still very close.
The whole series is on audible and at the moment included in my subscription. There is a third book and it is part of the second audiobook. It's added after the epilogue.

Un nuovo romanzo, una nuova lettura, un altro libro da amare.
Quando ho letto il primo volume di questa bellissima serie ne sono rimasta completamente affascinata, non solo per la storia e i protagonisti impossibili da non amare ovviamente ma anche e soprattutto per il modo in cui è stata scritta. La Kingsley ha sempre quella capacità molto bella di dare vita a storie che catturano l’attenzione del lettore e lo appassionano senza far conoscere mai la noia, neanche ad un solo passaggio, durante tutta la lettura. Lo stile infatti è molto semplice, chiaro, deciso, a volte un po’ sfrontato ma nel modo giusto, che rende tutto il contesto perfetto.
Da premettere ovviamente che l’eccellente traduzione del romanzo gli rende la giusta importanza che merita. Definirei questo secondo volume della serie Always un Romance dove batticuore, momenti adrenalinici, sentimenti profondi e passionalità hot esplicita ma sexy, sono perfettamente dosati per dare al romanzo quella giusta movimentazione piccante e accattivante che ti fanno divorare il libro velocemente, facendoti immergere nella storia in maniera completa. Insomma, se avete amato la storia di Braxton e Kylie, amerete sicuramente anche la storia tra Selene e Ronan. Vi ricordate Selene, vero? È la gemella di Brax e l’abbiamo incontrata per la prima volta nel primo romanzo della serie. Non vi nego che conoscendola in quel contesto e in determinati momenti di quella storia l’avrei schiaffeggiata volentieri perché non faceva altro che causare problemi ai nostri due protagonisti.
Però a fine lettura del primo libro mi sono chiesta come sarebbe stata la sua storia e soprattutto se sarebbe riuscita a farsi perdonare da me lettrice. Ebbene sì, c’è riuscita su tutti i fronti e conoscerla più da vicino è stato molto interessante. Selene è una donna forte e determinata che ha perso i genitori quando era ancora una bambina ed è cresciuta in simbiosi con un fratello gemello iperprotettivo e con una forte personalità. Praticamente ha sempre vissuto nella sua ombra perciò l’unico ambito in cui riesce a sbocciare da sola è quello lavorativo dove si impegna moltissimo guadagnandosi un’ottima reputazione. Oltre alla vita sociale però, Selene ha anche una vita privata a cui dare voce e quest’ultima non è mai stata un pezzo forte perché ha un debole per gli uomini sbagliati.
Avete capito bene, se ci sono “cattivi ragazzi” in giro Selene involontariamente li attrae!
A questo punto credete sia possibile che la Kingsley si sia decisa a far incontrare alla nostra protagonista un bravo ragazzo finalmente?
Assolutamente no, altrimenti non potremmo perdere la testa per Ronan Maddox.
Ronan è un uomo all’apparenza forte, deciso, sicuro, con degli hobby adrenalinici che potrebbero mettere a repentaglio la sua vita ma a cui non riesce a rinunciare. Lui vive per le scariche di adrenalina e non solo per gli sport estremi, ma anche quando rischia nel mondo degli affari o nella conquista di donne difficili.
Il modo di gestire la sua vita è questo ma alcune cose stanno per cambiare quando la sua strada si incrocia con quella di Selene: Lui è il nuovo acquirente della compagnia per cui lei lavora.
Appena Ronan si presenta nella sala conferenze i polmoni di Selene sembrano quasi congelarsi perché si ricorda molto bene di quell’uomo bellissimo conosciuto cinque anni prima e di cui poi non ha saputo più nulla. E se credete che Ronan non si ricordi di lei vi sbagliate di grosso.
Inizierà la sua caccia? Assolutamente sì! Selene si è ripromessa più e più volte che non avrebbe mai avuto rapporti personali con colleghi e Ronan addirittura sarà il suo capo quindi il tutto diventa impensabile.
Questo fermerà Ronan secondo voi? Certo che no, perché Selene diventerà la sua sfida primaria e ovviamente lui le sfide le adora. Non riuscirà a togliersela dalla testa tanto facilmente e l’attrazione forte e importante tra di loro diventerà subito palpabile.
La loro storia si intensificherà e riusciremo a capire perché alcuni comportamenti di Ronan saranno da ostacolo a questa relazione. Non vi nego che in alcuni momenti lo avrei preso a schiaffi e mi sono domandata più volte il perché si comportasse in determinati modi. Poi finalmente ho avuto la chiarezza e non ho potuto fare a meno di adorarlo. Porta dentro di sè un qualcosa di importante che lo ha cambiato e che farà manifestare i suoi effetti quasi distruttivi in un momento cruciale nella relazione con Selene. La parte che ho adorato di più in questo bel romanzo sono stati i dialoghi. I loro scambi di battute sono stati fantastici, puro e sublime divertimento. Erano così perfettamente ben assemblati che mi sembrava di essere una spettatrice di un duello verbale. Ronan non si trattiene nulla, ve l’assicuro, ma Selene è sempre pronta a colpire e rispondere. Insomma, amici, un romanzo scritto molto bene con all’interno una storia che si sviluppa, pagina dopo pagina, in maniera lineare, mai volgare e con personaggi perfettamente delineati. La storia di Selene e Ronan vi piacerà sicuramente, vi conquisterà, ne sono certa e ricordate che in alcune situazioni avere paura può rivelarsi qualcosa di veramente unico, leggete e capirete.

Quando ho letto il primo volume di questa bellissima serie ne sono rimasta completamente affascinata, non solo per la storia e i protagonisti impossibili da non amare ovviamente ma anche e soprattutto per il modo in cui è stata scritta. La Kingsley ha sempre quella capacità molto bella di dare vita a storie che catturano l’attenzione del lettore e lo appassionano senza far conoscere mai la noia, neanche ad un solo passaggio, durante tutta la lettura. Lo stile infatti è molto semplice, chiaro, deciso, a volte un po’ sfrontato ma nel modo giusto, che rende tutto il contesto perfetto.
Da premettere ovviamente che l’eccellente traduzione del romanzo gli rende la giusta importanza che merita. Definirei questo secondo volume della serie Always un Romance dove batticuore, momenti adrenalinici, sentimenti profondi e passionalità hot esplicita ma sexy, sono perfettamente dosati per dare al romanzo quella giusta movimentazione piccante e accattivante che ti fanno divorare il libro velocemente, facendoti immergere nella storia in maniera completa. Insomma, se avete amato la storia di Braxton e Kylie, amerete sicuramente anche la storia tra Selene e Ronan. Vi ricordate Selene, vero? È la gemella di Brax e l’abbiamo incontrata per la prima volta nel primo romanzo della serie. Non vi nego che conoscendola in quel contesto e in determinati momenti di quella storia l’avrei schiaffeggiata volentieri perché non faceva altro che causare problemi ai nostri due protagonisti.
Però a fine lettura del primo libro mi sono chiesta come sarebbe stata la sua storia e soprattutto se sarebbe riuscita a farsi perdonare da me lettrice. Ebbene sì, c’è riuscita su tutti i fronti e conoscerla più da vicino è stato molto interessante. Selene è una donna forte e determinata che ha perso i genitori quando era ancora una bambina ed è cresciuta in simbiosi con un fratello gemello iperprotettivo e con una forte personalità. Praticamente ha sempre vissuto nella sua ombra perciò l’unico ambito in cui riesce a sbocciare da sola è quello lavorativo dove si impegna moltissimo guadagnandosi un’ottima reputazione. Oltre alla vita sociale però, Selene ha anche una vita privata a cui dare voce e quest’ultima non è mai stata un pezzo forte perché ha un debole per gli uomini sbagliati.
Avete capito bene, se ci sono “cattivi ragazzi” in giro Selene involontariamente li attrae!
A questo punto credete sia possibile che la Kingsley si sia decisa a far incontrare alla nostra protagonista un bravo ragazzo finalmente?
Assolutamente no, altrimenti non potremmo perdere la testa per Ronan Maddox.
Ronan è un uomo all’apparenza forte, deciso, sicuro, con degli hobby adrenalinici che potrebbero mettere a repentaglio la sua vita ma a cui non riesce a rinunciare. Lui vive per le scariche di adrenalina e non solo per gli sport estremi, ma anche quando rischia nel mondo degli affari o nella conquista di donne difficili.
Il modo di gestire la sua vita è questo ma alcune cose stanno per cambiare quando la sua strada si incrocia con quella di Selene: Lui è il nuovo acquirente della compagnia per cui lei lavora.
Appena Ronan si presenta nella sala conferenze i polmoni di Selene sembrano quasi congelarsi perché si ricorda molto bene di quell’uomo bellissimo conosciuto cinque anni prima e di cui poi non ha saputo più nulla. E se credete che Ronan non si ricordi di lei vi sbagliate di grosso.
Inizierà la sua caccia? Assolutamente sì! Selene si è ripromessa più e più volte che non avrebbe mai avuto rapporti personali con colleghi e Ronan addirittura sarà il suo capo quindi il tutto diventa impensabile.

Love Selene!
It was nice seeing another side to Selene. After reading “Always Have,” I wasn’t her biggest fan. In this book, it was great getting to see the other side of her that she shows in her professional life. Ronan was a great H despite being such an idiot at times. Looking forward to the novella!

Ronin & Selene’s relationship is a rollercoaster, but holy cannoli, is it also scorching. There’s just something about Ronin’s brazenness & Selene’s reaction that just solidifies their chemistry. Great 2nd book to this series

I have to admit, it was hard to finish…
The story development made me uncomfortable and I didn’t enjoy the fact that the author brought in an almost SA story line in order to get the characters together. I think there would have been better ways for them to get together than that.

This was my first Kingsley romance and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was hot, humorous with some heartfelt moments. I will look for more of this authors romances on Kindle Unlimited.

I lost interest in this one during a reading slump but I'd invested too much time to DNF, so I skim-read the last 40%.
Claire Kingsley is one of my favourite authors, but her new stuff is vastly superior to her older releases. I did like the boss/employee plot of this a lot more than the previous book in the series, but to be completely honest, it just wasn't anything special and didn't really hold my attention. I also didn't love the self-sabotage conflict at the end.
This definitely wasn't bad, and was a victim of my reading slump more than anything so I feel a little bad for this review, but if you're wanting to pick up a Claire Kingsley book, I would recommend the Miles Family or Bailey Brothers series over this.

After reading Kylie and Brax's story in Book 1, I was curious on how Selene, Brax's twin sister and Kylie's best friend would be paired up with someone since she has a very brash personality. Oddly, very tall which bothers some people. It bothers me that most women in books are under 5'5" --that's odd to me. That could be due to the fact that I'm 5'7" and even at that my short girlfriends make fun of me. I connected with Selene in that aspect since she's 5'9". It's the little things that get me. Or tall things....sorry that was a bad joke. I promise no more.
Anyway, I bought book 1 on a spur buy. But buying book 2 and 3 was well worth it! I love these characters. I was sad when I finished book 3 (review coming soon) which focuses on the ladies lives after they have their guy. Book three is more like a very long epilogue in novel format.
Selene is who I strive to be when I grow up. A strong opinionated woman with incredible business sense. She commands the room and backs up everything with her intelligence and drive. Selene has almost single-handedly kept the company she works for afloat--Vital Information when her boss Brad goes on extended vacations quite frequently. But Brad sold the company to Ronan Maddox, the owner of Edge Gear ...and a one night stand with Selene five years ago after he quit Tech Solutions where both he and Selene worked. One thing about Selene, she doesn't date or otherwise with co-workers. That's why she wouldn't give Ronan a chance before that night. She was weak and technically he was leaving for a new job the next day. No harm, no foul. But now he's back--and her new boss. Ronan made it very clear during their first few conversations that she is going to be his next acquisition.
Ronan loves to take risks in his company, his hobbies, and well almost everything. His choice to be a risk taker stems from an incident in college that still haunts him--it is also why he remains completely unattached to women. Taking the risk of buying VI, looks like it will be paying of for him--One Selene Taylor sits in the conference room with all of the upper level employees. He only spent one night with her. That night made him rethink his decision to move from Seattle to San Francisco. How can one night with a woman do that? The company he just bought, Selene works for. He is going to do everything in his power to win her over. It will be a huge challenge--he loves challenges and risks. He's sure she still has that damn no dating co-workers rule. He needs to get under her skin so he's able to get under, over, and inside her again and again.
Selene knows how much of a risk taker Ronan is. But she's not used to his abrasive attitude. He says things under his breathe. His fingertips graze her skin. She knows that technically, he's sexually harassing her--but she secretly loves it. She's scared to let him in. What will their co-workers think? That she's sleeping her way to the top? Her ideas are only accepted because of her relationship with the boss? No way. She worked too hard for all of it to mean nothing. Ronan is not--repeat not getting to her. Except he made these rules...neither of them are to date anyone else, no flirting in front of co-workers, no close door meetings in his office, if either of them break the rules...then the agreement is over. Selene only agrees to see Ronan squirm. She thinks he can't go without a woman or sex for very long then Ronan will have to leave her alone. Ronan sees this as an opportunity. Se il primo romanzo della serie non mi aveva fatta innamorare – mi era piaciuto, ma non era scoccata la scintilla - stavolta è andata molto meglio. La curiosità di conoscere Selene era tanta. Se ben ricordate, quando il protagonista era suo fratello, la ragazza non si comportava poi tanto bene. Mi era sembrata acida, un po’ subdola e calcolatrice. Non l’ho mai odiata, eppure non mi sembrava un personaggio positivo o capace di redimersi facilmente. Invece non è andata così. Sono riuscita a conoscerla meglio, a capire cosa si nascondeva dietro quella corazza di impenetrabilità. Selene è legata a suo fratello non solo perché sono gemelli, e si sa i gemelli hanno un legame simbiotico particolare, ma anche perché è l’unica persona che gli resta al mondo. I suoi genitori sono morti, anche la zia che si è occupata di loro e li ha visti crescere è morta da poco. Selene ha Baxton e Baxton ha Selene, è sempre stato così. Si proteggono a vicenda, si guardano le spalle, si amano in maniera incondizionata e smisurata. Questo giustificherà sia il comportamento della ragazza in Sempre e solo lei, sia le difficoltà che Bax ha in Sarà per sempre a lasciare andare sua sorella.
Anche Ronan, nonostante ciò che l’autrice pensi, è un bel personaggio. Sarà che sono riuscita a capire il peso del passato che porta sulle spalle, ma è stato subito amore. Ho amato la sua sfrontatezza, la sua ribellione, la sua ricerca smodata di emozioni. E non gli ho portato rancore neanche quando ha fatto lo sbaglio più grande della sua vita. Sapevo che prima o poi avrebbe aperto gli occhi. Gli serviva solo del tempo.
Se consiglio Sarà per sempre? Sì, sì, ancora sì. Amanti del romance puro, qui c’è pane per i vostri denti. Preparatevi a passare delle ore piacevolissime e a sognare una storia d’amore passionale e intensa come quella di Selene e il suo capo.

Abbiamo conosciuto Selene, sorella gemella di Braxton, nel primo libro della serie.
Abbiamo intravisto una donna fragile, con un amore smodato per la sua piccola famiglia, ovvero Braxton e la sua migliore amica Kylie.
Poche certezze e amori sempre sbagliati.
Gli unici uomini che riesce ad attirare sono sempre i maledettamente belli e dannati, il classico BAD BOY, quello che non si prende responsabilità e che tradisce alla prima occasione possibile.
Dopo tante delusioni è più che decisa a trovarsi un ragazzo tranquillo, posato, che non corra dietro a tutte le gonnelle appena gira l'occhio e che la tratti con rispetto. Insomma, tutto l'opposto dello stereotipo che di solito frequenta.
Selene ha poche regole per quanto concerne la sua vita privata, ma la più importante è quella di non avere MAI relazioni con colleghi di lavoro.
Non si lascia mai traviare da quel suo intento perchè il suo lavoro è qualcosa a cui tiene troppo, e non vuole problemi di natura sentimentale che potrebbero essere fatali per la sua carriera.
Ma ... tutte le regole sono nate per essere infrante, ed una sola volta si è concessa di evaderla nella certezza che non avrebbe mai più visto quell'uomo.
Non poteva mettere in conto che dopo anni da quella notte indimenticabile e bollente, quell'uomo avrebbe lavorato di nuovo con lei, e che sarebbe diventato addirittura il suo capo.
Ronan Maddox è un uomo che ha fatto della sua vita una continua sfida.
Amante del pericolo e della caccia, non si ferma mai di fronte a qualcosa di imprevedibile o spaventoso.
Ha fatto della paura e del pericolo la sua esistenza e ogni nuova sfida è per una scarica di adrenalina di cui non può fare a meno.
Chi lo conosce bene, dichiara che Ronan sia letteralmente drogato di adrenalina, anche se lui lo nega a spada tratta.
Ritiene il suo comportamento qualcosa che lo rigenera, qualcosa di necessario per la sua sopravvivenza e al contrario di chi pensa che rischi la sua vita continuamente e volutamente, per Ronan affrontare dei rischi è ormai una prassi imprescindibile e necessaria.
Ogni qualvolta si sente sotto pressione, sente lo stress accumularsi nel suo corpo e si sente svuotato da una vita poco appagante, ecco che gli sport estremi diventano per lui energia pura, e l'unico modo per sentirsi abbastanza vivo per continuare giorno dopo giorno.

Il battito accelerato del cuore, il sangue che ribolle nelle sue vene, le vertigini dettate dal rischio, l'aria che lo stravolge con prepotenza gettandosi da un aereoplano. Tutto ha un senso per lui e senza tutto ciò, non potrebbe sopravvivere. Quindi come dare torto a chi afferma l'adrenalina è una dipendenza?
Una cosa che non avrebbe mai immaginato, è che una donna avrebbe potuto fargli provare le stesse sensazioni di un lancio con il paracadute, le stesse emozioni di un salto con il bungee jumping, che le regalasse la stessa calma di un arrampicata sulla vetta più alta.
Quella donna porta il nome di Selene Taylor e sarà la donna che metterà in discussione tutta la sua vita, le sue follie, le sue certezze.
Quella che lo renderà consapevole che ogni sua paura è stata causata dal suo passato e che da quel momento per sentirsi ancora vivo, doveva morire un po' ogni giorno.
Se veniste a scoprire all'improvviso che l'azienda dove lavorate e dove avete gettato anima e corpo nella sua resa, fosse improvvisamente venduta?
Selene non ha sicuramente problemi di soldi o a trovarsi un altro impiego, ma ha dato talmente tanto per quel lavoro che spera davvero di non essere costretta a lasciarlo.
Ma quando il nuovo capo si presenta nei panni di Ronan Maddox, Selene sente gelarsi il sangue nelle vene.
L'unico uomo a cui aveva concesso di piegare le sue rigide regole del "mai andare a letto con un collega", l'unico uomo che nonostantre siano passati anni non ha mai dimenticato, l'unico uomo che le ha fatto provare sensazioni mai provate ma che l'ha anche mollata il giorno seguente l'accaduto.
Per entrambi ritrovarsi faccia a faccia è una sorpresa ed una dannazione.
Ma se Selene è più che convinta che non ricadrà nel suo vecchio errore, per Ronan ecco riaffacciarsi una nuova sfida, una rincorsa nel conquistare quella donna così sfuggente e bellissima.

Selene lotta con tutta se stessa nel rifuggire quell'attrazione folle che li attira, ma Ronan è caparbio e molto motivato.

Ma tutto ciò che sembra perfetto, ha sempre qualche crepa nascosta nel suo interno, e tra la paura folle di Selene di venire ferita di nuovo, e la consapevolezza di Ronan di non essere l'uomo giusto per lei, ecco che dal paradiso si fa in fretta a scendere all'inferno.
L'autrice ha creato una storia davvero singolare ed appagante.
Il ruolo di Ronan Maddox mi ha davvero colpita, per come affronta la vita e per come non si renda conto di quanto realmente rischia in quello che fa.
Il dolore che si porta dentro è talmente profondo, che quando vede uno spiraglio di luce insieme a Selene, invece di aggrapparsi con forza a quella nuova realtà, rifugge per paura, quella stessa paura di cui si è nutrito da sempre.
Paura di essere inadatto, paura di non riuscire a proteggere la persona che ama, paura di non poter essere abbastanza per una donna intelligente e bellissima come Selene.
Ma si può vivere senza questa emozione? Si può davvero sperare di non avere mai più paura nella vita? Forse dovremmo solo chiuderci in una bolla perchè non accada.
E voi, cosa sareste disposta a fare per smettere di avere paura?

Abbiamo conosciuto Selene, sorella gemella di Braxton, nel primo libro della serie.
Abbiamo intravisto una donna fragile, con un amore smodato per la sua piccola famiglia, ovvero Braxton e la sua migliore amica Kylie.
Poche certezze e amori sempre sbagliati.
Gli unici uomini che riesce ad attirare sono sempre i maledettamente belli e dannati, il classico BAD BOY, quello che non si prende responsabilità e che tradisce alla prima occasione possibile.
Dopo tante delusioni è più che decisa a trovarsi un ragazzo tranquillo, posato, che non corra dietro a tutte le gonnelle appena gira l'occhio e che la tratti con rispetto. Insomma, tutto l'opposto dello stereotipo che di solito frequenta.
Selene ha poche regole per quanto concerne la sua vita privata, ma la più importante è quella di non avere MAI relazioni con colleghi di lavoro.
Non si lascia mai traviare da quel suo intento perchè il suo lavoro è qualcosa a cui tiene troppo, e non vuole problemi di natura sentimentale che potrebbero essere fatali per la sua carriera.
Ma ... tutte le regole sono nate per essere infrante, ed una sola volta si è concessa di evaderla nella certezza che non avrebbe mai più visto quell'uomo.
Non poteva mettere in conto che dopo anni da quella notte indimenticabile e bollente, quell'uomo avrebbe lavorato di nuovo con lei, e che sarebbe diventato addirittura il suo capo.
Ronan Maddox è un uomo che ha fatto della sua vita una continua sfida.
Amante del pericolo e della caccia, non si ferma mai di fronte a qualcosa di imprevedibile o spaventoso.
Ha fatto della paura e del pericolo la sua esistenza e ogni nuova sfida è per una scarica di adrenalina di cui non può fare a meno.
Chi lo conosce bene, dichiara che Ronan sia letteralmente drogato di adrenalina, anche se lui lo nega a spada tratta.
Ritiene il suo comportamento qualcosa che lo rigenera, qualcosa di necessario per la sua sopravvivenza e al contrario di chi pensa che rischi la sua vita continuamente e volutamente, per Ronan affrontare dei rischi è ormai una prassi imprescindibile e necessaria.
Ogni qualvolta si sente sotto pressione, sente lo stress accumularsi nel suo corpo e si sente svuotato da una vita poco appagante, ecco che gli sport estremi diventano per lui energia pura, e l'unico modo per sentirsi abbastanza vivo per continuare giorno dopo giorno.

Se veniste a scoprire all'improvviso che l'azienda dove lavorate e dove avete gettato anima e corpo nella sua resa, fosse improvvisamente venduta?
Selene non ha sicuramente problemi di soldi o a trovarsi un altro impiego, ma ha dato talmente tanto per quel lavoro che spera davvero di non essere costretta a lasciarlo.
Ma quando il nuovo capo si presenta nei panni di Ronan Maddox, Selene sente gelarsi il sangue nelle vene.
L'unico uomo a cui aveva concesso di piegare le sue rigide regole del "mai andare a letto con un collega", l'unico uomo che nonostantre siano passati anni non ha mai dimenticato, l'unico uomo che le ha fatto provare sensazioni mai provate ma che l'ha anche mollata il giorno seguente l'accaduto.
Per entrambi ritrovarsi faccia a faccia è una sorpresa ed una dannazione.
Ma se Selene è più che convinta che non ricadrà nel suo vecchio errore, per Ronan ecco riaffacciarsi una nuova sfida, una rincorsa nel conquistare quella donna così sfuggente e bellissima.

Since finding Claire Kingsley I have been hooked on her books. Each one has grabbed me from the start and this one did not disappoint. I loved Selene & Ronan's story...I couldn't put it down!!!
Ronan & Selene used to work together and had a one night stand before Ronan moved away. While it was a hot night with no strings attached, she could never understand why he had never tried to get in touch with her. But now he is back and she just found out that he has bought the company that she works for and he wants to pick up where they left off. Selene has always had a strict rule about not dating anyone that she works with and least of all her boss. But let's face it, we all love it when a gorgeous sexy guy will do anything he can to get us to throw caution to the wind and break all of our own rules; and Ronan did just that to Selene.

Who Would've Thought
I never thought there would be a CK book that I wouldn't love... but this one is it.
I don't hate it or anything like that, but I didn't really care for the H or the h.
I really didn't like Ronan and I don't feel like he was redeemed in the story. I didn't like Selene in this story. Maybe because we didn't see much of her life (job, personality, etc.) in Always Have, she seemed so... different... in this book (and not a good different).
When I don't care for the main characters in a book, it's hard to connect to them and care about what happens to them. (Just so you know, there are LOTS of CK books that I LOVE..like the Bailey Brothers series, the Miles Family series, and the Bootleg Springs series (I think co-authored with Lucy Score?) to name a few.)
