And then, he kissed her. Or maybe she kissed him. He never really knew how their lips ended up pressed together, but they did.
He’d never kissed a girl before and had no idea what he was doing, but it didn’t seem to matter. Quinn wrapped her arms around him and grabbed the back of his shirt, pulling him closer.
There was nothing to see, so everything was just her, her soft lips against his, the thudding of her heart against his chest, and that tangle of beautiful hair wrapped in his fingers. Now he knew what the big deal was.

In this sequel to Crossed Roses, experience the epic story of William and Quinn's courtship all over again, in a way you've never seen before.

NOTE: This book covers the events of Roots of Insight (Dusk Gate Chronicles, #2) and the first eight chapters of Thorns of Decision (Dusk Gate Chronicles, #3) from William's POV. It picks up right after the first book in William's POV, Crossed Roses (Dusk Gate Chronicles, #3) leaves off.

I love this series and I especially love this book because of the new POV of William and to be able to get more into his head. He is my favorite character and I love watching his walls crumble. Such a sweet book with some laugh out loud moments as well

Another winner!!

I have really become attached to Quinn, William and family. It doesn't matter which character is telling the story! . It might have been that 4 books were supposed to comprise the series, but this book makes #10 and the characters are still teenagers. And in Deusterros time, that means they have a very long life and many more stories ahead of them! Please don't stop! There are enough characters to keep the adventures going for a long time to come. I'll never have enough!

This book is a must get for any fan of the Dusk Gate books.

It gives us more insight and Will's POV which I adored. True fans will always want more and this is a prefect way to get to relive some of our favorite scenes from past books.

Plus all the little extras that were added. It made my heart happy to have more of the story of Quinn and Will. They have to be some of my favorites of all time.

Wundervoll!

I really love Breeana Puttroff's books, but this was one of my least favorite. It is a rewrite of another book, from an alternate point of view, which I was excited to read. However, I felt like this book was jumpy and disconnected. Perhaps it would have been better to reread the Dusk Gate series first before reading through this one.

I’m in love with William! I love reading from William’s perspective! For the second time the reader gets into his head and discovers what he was thinking about Quinn. And their first kiss....?....wonderful. But this story was way too short. I really would like a full blown series with William’s perspective all the way through to the end. Come on Ms Puttroff. Let’s see you deliver!

I like reading the story from William's perspective. He doesn't say a lot in the main series, but he definitely has a lot going on in his brain - it's nice to find out what that is. The romance between him and Quinn is sweet and it's easier to read from William's POV because it lacks the waffling about Zander, Quinn's POV has. It was an enjoyable addition to the series. 4 stars.

Of course it was great

Quin and William have been favorites of mine for a long time. It was nice seeing William's point of view. Every situation, good or bad, has a slightly different angle for everyone involved. Great book, talented author.

So much fun to see the beginning of Quinn and William from his point of view. Makes me want to go back and re-read the whole series. Great plan for summer poolside reading!
