Soldiers pour into Cedarstone with only one kill everyone. These aren’t ordinary soldiers. They’ve been equipped to deal with the supernatural. They have weapons designed to fight sorcerers, vampires and werewolves. They are protected against magic. And there are hundreds of them. Outnumbered and overpowered, the town must fight this new threat or end up dead.
That isn’t the only problem coming to Cedarstone. The jinni, Apophis has been set free. He comes to Cedarstone looking for revenge on those who trapped him and to ensure that he never becomes imprisoned again. The Winters family soon end up in his crosshairs and they realise that the soldiers are the least of their worries.
With enemies on all fronts, Clara has to find a way unite the town and become the leader Cedarstone needs.
Sean is a writer and reader of all kinds of books, but he particularly enjoys books with 413 pages. He lives alone in Maidstone with his cats, Molly and Klaus, in an apartment that does not allow pets. He is also quite sure that one of them is trying to kill him. It’s a good thing he’s immortal.
He works as a lab technician by day and writes rather marvelous books by night. Sometimes he writes in the day too, but those books aren’t as good.
I have been a HUGE fan of this authors wok since the first book of this series - Cursed. This book was a great way to bring the series to a close and was a fitting ending to a well written collection. I must say - without spoilers - that the epilogue did leave me a little put out on a small detail that as a reader I personally would have liked to be different, but that is my own feelings and in no way a negative to the overall story. Great job as always from Sean and can't wait to see more of his future work.
