When Natalie Smythe moves to the small town of Bagley, Texas to follow her dreams and open a candy store, she has no intention to do anything other than work. Socializing is not on her calendar until the store is up and running. It doesn't even cross her mind that the morning she opens, a man will come into the store, she cannot say "no" to.
Caleb McClain knows he's next in line to marry, because his brothers have started the domino effect, and they're falling one by one. The oldest two are married, and he's third in line. He knows he can't avoid it forever, but if he can just avoid meeting anyone new, he's sure it will help. When he follows a sugar craving and checks out the new candy store in town, he keeps his eyes on the display and won't even look at the woman behind the counter. When their eyes meet, he knows he's done for. Will he be able to convince her that she's the only woman for him? Or will he be the first McClain in generations to not marry?
. Caleb McClain is the third son of a seventh son, who instantly falls in love with Natalie Smythe who moved to the small town of Bagley, Texas to follow her dreams and open a candy store. This short story depicts their whirlwind romance and her reactions to the family secrets and Caleb's addiction to sweets. Caleb has the gift to sense danger, which aids him in his position on the boys' ranch his family runs. The time frame for their romance is a bit unbelievable, but cute anyway.
We're just moving forward on this earth with what we've been given, doing our best every day, just like everyone else.
This series has a very intriguing storyline including magic gifts, gentleman cowboys, and destiny. This is in spite of the fact their mama named them alphabetically after the sons on a classical movie. Because of this, I was excited to crack open the pages. Enjoy the legends of the seventh sons of a seventh son, magical gifts, and enough love to raise thirty boys who needed all the attention, discipline, and leadership they can possibly muster.
The characters lacked a certain depth most good novels contain. However, it does contain lots of inspiration and leaves the reader with a warm and fuzzy feeling. I enjoy that most assuredly.
This is a clean and wholesome read (except for some kisses) that is able to stand on its own. I'm interested enough to continue on to learn more about this amazing family structure and the new personal relationships forming for each brother.
I accessed this series at no cost through the Kindle Unlimited Prime program. I greatly appreciated the opportunity to read them.
Hero: Caleb/senses danger Heroine: Natalie/Owns a candy store Reading Enjoyment:4.5* I'm loving this series! Believable characters, strong storyline. This story has a very happy and satisfying HEA .
Caleb has the least complicated romance of his brothers – so far. In his effort to avoid meeting any new females that might end up being destined for him, Caleb’s plan was to avoid anyone new. But his sweet tooth got him in the end as he couldn’t resist checking out the brand new homemade candy store opening up today… and then he looked into her eyes. Yeah, that plan didn’t go as intended, but that’s fine with Caleb. Now to convince Natalie.
Natalie has questions, especially after the gossipy woman she’s hired to help out in the shop is done spilling her half truths and opinions. While Caleb has had the most intense day in a long time, it’s obvious that someone’s been gossiping with Natalie. He has no trouble giving her the absolute truth about himself and his family but he’d hoped for a bit more time. Ah, well… she’d know soon anyways so might as well lay it all out and pray that she doesn’t bolt from the room.
Of the women destined for the McClain brothers Natalie has accepted Caleb’s truth the easiest. Which makes Caleb a sweet, touching romance with very little angst and a lot of family love. We get a little more information on one of the foster kids – Nick, he’s been through so much and has far to go yet but it’s encouraging and touching to watch his barriers slowly fall one by one. I enjoyed this one, it’s an easy read with a heartwarming feel to it. I’d recommend Caleb and the entire series to any Contemporary Romance reader.
I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.
If you need humor and touching moments its the book you need. Smiles all around for that s story!
Caleb the wild child has grown into his own the third brother of 7 brothers. He is trying to avoid his fate as the next brother to marry. Natalie an amazing independently entrepreneur. This story has humor (we all can use more of that). Insight to purpose of the ranch and the foster kids that cone there to live. Moving story. Written well you fall for the 7 brothers and the woman the fall for that are open to their special gifts. Violence2 child abuse, sexo a clean romance no sex before marriage. Very romantic, written well.

I love this series! It's expertly written with some very memorable characters. Caleb and Natalie's story has a blend of sweet romance, fantasy and a small topping of humor. Makes you want to sing, "Bless yore beautiful hide." I could subconsciously hear the great Howard Keel sing the song as I read this story. I've read the first ones and will read the rest. It's nice a sweetly clean so all can enjoy.
Brother number three bites the dust. Caleb's plan to avoid meeting any new females falls apart when he heads for the new candy shop in town. Talk about instant life changes. Natalie moves to a new town to open her candy shop and discovers her life mate in two short weeks. Ain't love grand. Quick, easy read.
Caleb needs a fix. He's an adrenaline junky, but he will settle for some sugar. Natalie Smythe has opened her candy shop and he's the first customer on her first day. Their connection is immediate. This third son of seven finds his lifetime sugar fix and the rest is history.
I am loving each story of “Seven Brothers “ Series. This story was short, sweet, and funny. I can’t wait to read the next book “Daniel”. We also get a hint of how the McClain family began hundreds of years ago and what’s to come. Great Job Ms. Osbourne love you work.
Caleb is the brother who feels imminent danger. He is also an adrenalin kinky with a sweet tooth. Afraid that he's "the next" he decides not to meet any women. Until he enters a new shop in town that specializes in homemade candy. Candy that's made by a beautiful young woman.
Love this story. Natalie is a great addition to the ranch. The continuing storyline of Nick showing that brotherly love that Penny inspired. And I like the fact that Caleb listened to his grandfather's family stories.
Caleb is the third son and he knew he was next. Determined to avoid meeting any new women he thought he was safe. Natalie had just opened the candy story in town. Never thinking she would meet a man on her first day open. Clean romance. Engaging characters and storyline.
I have had so much fun reading this series but this one is my favorite so far. Caleb was trying to avoid falling in love but Natalie made that impossible. A fun read.
I expected the fast blossoming relationship this time, loving reading about the rest of the McLain clan and smooth, albeit fast introductions of the new ladies, doesn’t take away from the fact that these are short, enjoyable reads, with likeable characters.
Caleb loves candy and adrenaline rushes, can he give up the adrenaline for his candy girl? What would it be like to be an only child suddenly thrust into a huge family, could she do it? Another quick read by Kristen Osbourne that is very good!
I liked the Seven Brides for Seven Brothers references. But I didn't really like that each of the brothers supposedly had powers. The story itself was ok but too "it's fate" for me.
I always love seven brides for seven brothers, this just put a different spin on it just Read all three books cant wait till the next one come out will definitely read it.
