“THE BARDO SCORE” part one! Another one of John’s magician friends has died—with a smile on his face and the words “thank you” scrawled in his own blood beside him. He wants to nail the killer and get revenge. But it happened in San Francisco so, above all, he wants to go home before he drinks himself to death in that loathsome city.

Surprisingly meh. Remember two previous issues? Forget about them. We're going back to much brighter Hellblazer. Which wasn't a bad thing to me, since I liked "Hellblazer Light". Unfortunately, we have a different writer again and I can't help but feel that Richard Kadrey turned Hellblazer into some sort of B-horror movie. That scene in church... pathetic... It's not completely awful and I want to know what'll happen next (aside from John getting into more troubles), but really, this one is bad. Feels more like a Scooby Doo parody than Hellblazer.
