This is an alternate cover edition of ASIN B077N47D6T
Natalie, an Alpha Wolf with magic, has been kidnapped in Europe by a rogue Pack of Cursed Shifters. As a result, she is Cursed right along with them and is unable to return home. A new enemy has arisen; answering long awaited questions of Nat’s origin. Unfortunately, their delusions of grandeur are forcing her to choose between the Clutch that has become her family… and her own kind. Can Nat break the Curse and save those she loves?
I received Alpha Mage as a beta copy from the author/publisher. The gifting did not determine the review/rating, which reflects my honest opinion, nor does it take into account errors I've notified the writer of, as beta copies contain errors which the author plans to correct in the final version. Alpha Mage sustained a steady, somewhat fast pace, I recommend dedicating time to read, or you may get lost in all the action. Another interesting story line by Peel.
I really like and dislike Nat's character. She has grown through so much of the previous books that I can't believe she is not the same character. I like her spunk and quick wit. What I am starting to get annoyed about it her aggressive and argumentative side. She is masterminded when it comes to the wolves and is so busy putting the alphas in their place that she is not understanding about them or their nature. I really wanted her to stop getting so angry and to start understanding the people around her only want what's in her best interest. I understood her character being young but that excuse can only get you so far. Kane is introduced here and I really like him. He is more relatable and sympathizing with than Mel. I am really hoping she gets with him because he seems more her type than Mel. Well I can't wait to see what happens next.
Although characters from the previous book are in this too its main focus is Nat's story. A new supernatural species is also introduced. Nat becomes a total badass as she comes into her full powers once she finds out who she really is. The truth about Bex and her parents is also revealed. I was however disappointed in how she once again treated Mel, the little bit he did interact with her, and the new alpha. She is just too much of a jerk to those guys. Although I can't decided if I'm team Mel or Kane. Leaning towards Mel since he has been around longer. Poor guy has been very patient and now a new alpha is trying to claim his mate, he deserves to catch a break. Excited to see where things go in the next book!
Cursed shifters, kidnapping, elementals, two alpha male shifters after Nat, Dex is STILL not shifting, a baby that is scaring people, and a set of creepy books. Could it possibly get anymore complicated? Yes indeed. Sora takes a bit of a backseat in this story, instead this is Nat’s story. I will definitely finish this series to find out how this large glorious family of beings is doing and what happens next.
This series is fantastic! Wonderful characters that follow through out the series. Fabulous plot twists and turns. Must read from book one to understand but it is worth every word. I highly recommend this series.
Kane,Mel and Nat were trying to figure out a curse to break it.There are so many things Nat is finding out about herself.I can't wait till she finally makes her decision.
