Still Right Here: A True Story of Healing and Hope

Rate this book
”Finally, a story about grieving that’s not depressing. This is a book filled with hope that life does get better after the death of a loved one.” A grateful reader
Join former Navy Commander-turned evidential medium Suzanne Giesemann and her husband Ty, a retired U.S. Navy Captain, on a healing journey with three other couples, brought together by their children in the spirit world. These inspiring parents serve as shining examples of those who have experienced the devastating loss of a child, but whose joy in life has been restored through the awareness that their children continue to participate actively in their lives.
This book is for you if you have a child or know someone with a child on the other side, are struggling with grief for a loved one who has passed, are seeking evidence of life after death, and/or enjoy true stories about the triumph of the human soul.
This powerful true story of a very special voyage provides stunning evidence of how truly thin the veil that separates us from those who have passed can be. Through indisputable accounts of connection with their children and the personal transformations that result, these couples’ stories offer comfort and reassurance to those seeking relief from grief and pain. You will come to know, as these parents do, that death is no more than a doorway to life beyond, a life that continues to intersect with ours on a daily basis.
Your loved ones are not gone. They are not lost. They are still right here.

Suzanne Giesemann is the author of eleven books, a metaphysical teacher, and an evidential medium. She captivates audiences as she brings hope, healing, and comfort through her work. Suzanne’s gift of communication with those on the other side provides stunning evidence of life after death. Touted as “a breath of fresh air” with “a quality that is so different from others that it is difficult to describe,” she brings messages of hope and love that go straight to the heart.

Suzanne is a retired U.S. Navy Commander. She served as a commanding officer, as special assistant to the Chief of Naval Operations, and as Aide to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff on 9/11. Today Suzanne addresses questions about the purpose of life, the nature of reality, and attuning to higher consciousness. Her work has been recognized as highly credible by afterlife researcher Dr. Gary Schwartz, Ph.D., and best-selling author Dr. Wayne Dyer. She serves on the executive council of Eternea, where she is the chairman of the Spirituality Leadership Council and is a member of the Advisory Council of the Academy for Spiritual and Consciousness Studies along with such notable leaders as Raymond Moody, M.D., Jean Houston, Ph.D., and Larry Dossey, M.D.

When Suzanne first began researching and writing the Hay House published book, The Priest and the Medium, she never dreamed that she would one day connect with the unseen world herself. After years of meditation, however, she began to have her own intuitive experiences, which led her to several classes on mediumship and to an intensive course at the respected Arthur Findlay College of Psychic Sciences in Stansted, England. Her eye-opening experiences there allowed her to develop her contact with the unseen world to the point where she now gives private readings, connecting people with their loved ones who have passed.

Her experiences with inspirational writing and inspired poetry are published daily on her blog, www.SanayaSays.com. The story of Suzanne’s transition from Navy Commander to her current work as an intuitive counselor is chronicled in her memoir, Messages of Hope, which is featured in a documentary by the same name. I have a science background with a degree in Cell, Microbial and Molecular biology and have worked in research for 17 years. As a scientist, I have been trained not to reach conclusions without substantial evidence. Therefore, I have always been skeptical of those claiming to talk to spirits. Similarly, I have thought the concept of an afterlife was possible, but more likely just wishful thinking on the part of people afraid of their own mortality or who have lost a loved one. Yet, after hearing Suzanne Giesemann present substantial evidence at a conference in Arizona and now after reading "Still Right Here", I find that I can no longer retain my previous conviction that these spiritual concepts are nonsense. Einstein created new paradigms in physics with his discovery of General and Special Relativity. Though his ideas were a major shift from Newtonian physics and seemed bizarre and counter-intuitive, they have stood the test of time and have been proven correct over and over again. Perhaps it is time for such a paradigm shift in our concept of consciousness. Scientists, such as Dr. Gary Schwartz, PhD (who has been a professor at both Harvard and Yale, spent four decades in research and has over 400 scientific publications to his credit) is currently conducting afterlife research. He has substantial data corroborating the evidence that Suzanne Giesemann has presented in this book. Therefore, I must conclude that our short life on this planet is not all there is. I highly recommend this book and will read it again.

I Loved this story! Knowing and feeling that our beloved ones are still active in our lives and show us signs all time. It’s hard for me to go deep into this because I just lost my 24 year old son and everyday is a battle. This book helps. I know he’s with me. He sends me signs all the time and it’s beautiful. I understand everything I learned from reading this book. But I’m still at a stage where I really MISS my child! I recommend this book. As I heal more it will mean more.

I thought the book was wonderful until I got to the added on chapter regarding suicide and overdose deaths. Suzanne lumped both experiences into being the same thing. My son died from an accidental overdose and I can guarantee that it wasn’t suicide in the slightest. They are both horrible but completely different and the fact that she referred to the two of them being the same thing is completely incorrect.

What a wonderful and uplifting spiritual story in the aftermath of tragedy - the loss of Suzanne's only stepchild, who was pregnant with her only grandchild. Suzanne's writing about her experience as a medium and becoming a medium give so much hope for what may be on the other side of death.
