Fireside Stories for Girls in Their Teens - Margaret Eggleston [1921] In Storyland - Elizabeth Harrison [1895] Our Home - C.E. Sargeant [1899] The Care and Culture of Men - David Starr Jordan [1896] How Gertrude Teachers Her Children - Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi [1901]
This made me feel empowered as a woman and a mother. It was a great reminder of the role of women and mothers and how we can influence others. I want to foster a love of God, art, music, literature and poetry in my home. I want it to be a haven of peace and create a loving family culture. This has encouraged me in that and I'll definitely be continuing the series.
Beautifully compilation of stories and examples that restored in my the importance of my role as a mother. I love That she teaches principles to allow each person to teach themselves or their children in their own way.
Full of beautiful nuggets of wisdom and inspiration. This is a book I’d like to nibble at again over a long period of time. Much of its sections allow for reading a paragraph or two at a time, then setting it aside in order to ponder over it.
