The Days of Elijah #4

The Seventh Vial

Rate this book
The ultimate battle which will decide the fate of Heaven and Earth has come. Everett and Courtney Carroll have fared better than most through the past seven years of the Great Tribulation, but the eve of Armageddon refuses to let them live out the last hours of this present age without conflict, trouble, and persistent peril. The Bible has prophesied of the Seven Vials of God’s Wrath, the final judgments which will utterly destroy what’s left of a decimated planet. These calamities will bring a plague of festering boils upon the followers of the Antichrist, rivers and seas will turn to blood, and a global earthquake will raze the cities of the earth to the ground. All of this in the midst of the war to end all wars. Everett and Courtney must leave their sanctuary of relative safety, but there is nowhere left to turn. And getting anywhere in these last days means traversing wastelands patrolled by Global Republic drones or crossing hostile deserts infested by the violent jihadi armies of Caliph Marwan Bakr. It won’t be the first time they’ve been trapped between a rock and a hard place, but it might be the last! Don’t miss the final chapter of The Days of Elijah, the End-Times sensation which chronicles the lives of those who must endure the Great Tribulation and the unabated wrath of God!

This series is an eye-opener to what we, as Christians, can expect in the end times. A lot of the things in this series are already happening, and we don't even notice because we have become complacent about technology. For instance, smart phone technology can allow us to pinpoint exact locations of the people in our circles without them even knowing we are doing so. Our computers have cameras tied to programs that can access the camera and take a picture of what we are doing without our knowledge. Even well-meaning congregations are "enlightening" our generations to try yoga and meditation, which are eastern religion based. Wake up people...my biggest fear is that we will not be ready when the time comes. We are so engrained in the business of busyness that we have forgotten how to read the Bible and apply the verses to our lives. This is what Satan is hoping will happen. Then I read this series and recognize what is happening, and now I am making changes, and you should too!

Fantastic Series

I have read Days of Noah and now just finished the four books of the Great Tribulation. The details regarding people, places, guns and munitions, tips on what to keep, get rid of, invest in were great. To have friends like the characters in this book would be a God send. Thank you very much Mr. Goodwin. Have to go check to see what else is in the library. Having trouble deciding between Ava and the EMP attack. Keep up the wonderful job your doing spreading the word.

I saw some of the other reviews and wondered if we read the same book. This is the end of the prequel Days of Noah and this series Days of Elijah. Over all, a great series of combined story lines with some Bible verses thrown in.

This book continues with relatable characters. The action scenes are written in a style that is both fictional and showing the utter lack of warfare knowledge at a squad or platoon level. That doesn't mean the chapters dedicated to fighting scenes isn't action packed, just tell yourself this is just a fictionalized account of humans that defy death even when secondary characters are killed all around them.

The book has great editing, which holds for both series of the books. Once again, there was one misspelled word which I found interesting this time. I believe the editor or even the author had a momentary lapse of synonyms. When referencing Noah and his 'ark' it is not spelled 'arc' like welding or math usages.

Spoilers...

Despite what I wrote, I would highly recommend not just this book, but the entire series of books from the Days of Noah prequel to this series, the Days of Elijah.

Aaand having finally finished all of them, I think the series well-done over all, though it declines in both potential and intensity with each successive entry. By the end of the fourth book, there is no doubt whatever that the ending will be both "happy" (for variants) and rushed and indeed, it was rushed. It went from wondering what would happen after the Seventh Vial-- which was clear-- from "Oh hey Jesus. [Verse from Revelation] The end!" Goodwin did a fantastic job of balancing perspectives through the middle of the third book. Everett and Courtney were always the center, but there was always something GRBN to help you see the other side and its lies. By the end, he'd clearly painted himself into a corner. On the one hand, props for not going down the cheese slide of Jenkins/LaHaye. On the other, I was looking forward to maybe something a little more lurid from my apocalypse fic. A good series overall and highly recommended, but nearly impossible to end.

Mark Goodwin writes Christian fiction of end times. His books seem so real because he brings the characters to life. I love the way he includes scripture. I’ve read 3 or 4 of his book series and every one has brought tears of joy, love and gratitude for my Savior. This was a beautiful ending and I fell in love with Everett & Courtney….well I loved all the characters but to see Kevin & Sarah come back was beautiful and Jesus came to end the war made me cry
His books are so well written that you become a part of the characters fighting these battles.
May our Lord & Savior continue to bless your writing of the End Times. I intend on reading every series you write.
Your writings keep my mind occupied on Jesus and I thank you for that. 🙏🏽✝️🙏🏽❤️✝️

End of Days

Time as we know it grows shorter. I've not read much about prophecy or the Endtimes in many years. Being at peace with living in today and as Christ would have his children to live. I chose this series because of increase in technology as well as because of how much the world has changed post 9/11. This is a work of fiction based on one man's interpretation of scripture. Good job Mr. Goodwin! I would point to Matthew chapter 25. Be ready. Choose Jesus now while time still exists.

A MUST READ FOR EVERYONE

I can not praise Mark Goodwin's books enough. The Days of Elijah series is the best fictionalized version of Revelations I have ever read. Everyone Christian or not should read this series. Every time Mr Goodwin releases a new book, I have to devour it the same day. No exception for any of the books in this series. Kudos Mr Goodwin on excellent work. Keep up the good work I am a devoted fan.

Good read

I liked that Mark took this journey, a tough one to conquer i might add as Revelation is a struggle to understand even to the most mature Christen.

I am giving it 4 stars because i feel Courtney was placed on a back burner as a character, She was such an integrated part of the series and comes across now as just Everetts fear of losing her.

Other then that it was well played, having read all Marks books i look forward to the new series coming out this summer.

It is finished

The action is non stop as Everett and his crew move thousands of Jews to safety. But the tribulation doesn't stop for anyone. They suffer blood, earthquakes and more, as well as another dangerous trek thru enemy lines, moving the Jews to an even safer area. The hardship is real, their trials are many, but they rejoice as they see their King Jesus arrive as a warrior.

A good apocalyptic read

I really enjoyed the entire series, but I found myself often stumbling with different grammatical issues. I occasionally had to go back to re-read a passage to understand what was going on. BUT, let that not take away the fact that Mr. Goodwin is otherwise a very good writer. He will keep you enthralled until the last page and leave you wanting more. I simply HAD to continue until I finished the series.

Highly recommended

If you are Christian, if you are undecided, if you like a book full of action, you will probably enjoy this series. I have read all three series in order and found them almost impossible to put down. The last days and the second coming are portrayed vividly true to the Scriptures. It is historic fiction. The characters in the books interact with historic figures. The action is shaped to the authors understanding. Highly recommended.

Well researched series

I was forced to rethink some of my ideas about the end times and to trust but verify others. I might not agree with all the authors conclusions, but there is a wealth of knowledge in these pages. On the other hand I could do without the comic book BOOM, BLAM, SMOOSH! The action scenes were well done otherwise making me feel as though I were there fighting with Everett, Courtney and Ali.

I found the book very entertaining. a real page turner.

I loved the characters & the continuing interaction. However I find it a little hard to think people will form militias to fight against the antichrist beast system. Maybe
The one critical error was the mark of the beast. You brought it in near the start of the Trib period. It does not happen till the mid point according to the scriptures.
I throughly enjoyed the read of all 4 parts

Wow what an ending !!!

I've truly loved this journey with these characters. Mr. Goodwin is wonderful at writing a non stop action fiction with very real prophesy. I couldn't put this book down, just like the others in this series and all the other books he has written. Please keep them coming.

The best series I have read in a long time

The books were great! It was really interesting to see how you took the book of Revelation and made it really understandable by putting it in story form. I really enjoyed reading all four books. It really makes you think about the end times. You really need to know Jesus as your Savior.

Excellent 10 out of 10 for the series

Salvation is our only way. This series is as simple an explanation as. I have ever heard or read. I have loved to read since I learned how. This series is full of interesting people, situations and Biblical information. Make no mistake it is both military and preppers who would like this. AN EASY 5 STARS

This book, in fact the whole Days of Elijah series helps us understand what the earth will in the years and days before God returns to begin his new kingdom on earth. A most enlightening series.

Interesting eschatology book

This is a good rendition of what end times could be like. But I really wonder if we will be battling as these characters did. Only time will tell us.

Great series!! Will there be continuation based on after the thousand years?

Great series! More reason to continue to carry out the great commission to spread the good news and bring people to the Lord. Wonder if there will be a series based on after the thousand years?

Great ending!

This has been a great series to read. It covers the entire tribulation period and shows us what life could be like if you are left behind. The giant computer Dragon really seems viable. Lots of action and interesting reading.
