To unleash his Dragon, she must melt his cold heart first . . .
Eyrl is the first Stlozyn male in a thousand years to be heir to the throne of Bronæl. But the government wants him mated first. Eyrl knows one thing for he wants a human. Now, where to find her?
All Lily wants to do is dance. But when she gets badly injured, her one chance is to go to the stars to have it fixed. No problem. All she has to do is sign up for a program to be matched to a dragon. Who happens to be a prince. Oh, and the hottest creature in the universe.
When Eyrl’s beast eyes see Lily, his fires flare. Yes, she’s beautiful, but no, that doesn’t mean he’ll ever love her. What is love anyway? Just another emotion that makes otherwise sane people do stupid things. All she needs to do is marry him and produce babies.
But when Lily is taken from him, Eyrl finds out there’s only one thing that matters to him.
He’ll search for her until she’s back safely in his arms.
Even if it costs him his throne.
This is a standalone book in a series of scifi romance stories. The books each have a guaranteed HEA, so no cliff-hangers. This is a HOT story with mature themes and language. For 18+ readers only.
ღ The Stlozyn are a people that are descended from early anatomically-modern humans who were stolen from Earth by a now-extinct species of alien that genetically changed them so that they could transform into giant, beautiful winged beasts, the likes of which are known on Earth in myths and legends as dragons.
♥●• Eyrlis the prince of Stlozyn & the first in thousand years to be heir to the throne of Bronæl. Eyrlis choose a human female to be his queen consort
♥●• His mother was renowned as a cold dragoness. Too cold, many thought. Eyrlis mother the queen of Couse didn’t like him choosing human over dragoness.. So we had some family drama there
💞. Lily Hunter. Signing up for a matchmaking service to see if she can get her leg fixed. See she was a ballerinaon earth before she broke her leg
►We have a clash of cultures going on here, & a plant that is ruled by women. We had few very feisty woman.
►I felt like the story started off very well , but like it kind of fell flat. The characters missing something for me
➦📚 Hope you enjoy this read & also always keep in mind this is just my opinion
➦ 💕 I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader copy of this book.in exchange for my honest review of it. 💕 💕 . .**This has not influenced my review.* ** 💕
Cute story with a very adorable woman, Lily and her stoic dragon, Eyrl. Its a pretty quick read with little details about things like the disease that caused the barreness issue and where the whole emotionless state that they all have comes from.
Despit that I liked the social changes that Lily and Eyrl hope to make. I enjoyed their trip to Earth, but my favorite part was when he finally said that he loved her.
4 1/2 Stars!! Great addition to the series with great character development and strong plot
I really did enjoy this story, especially since it is basically a reversal of gender expectations experienced by millions of women, minorities, etc. for many years. No one should ever feel like they are useless, worthless, especially for something as irrelevant as gender.
This story helps define some of the quintessential problems between mating Stlozen aliens and humans on Broneal which is more exaggerated because he is a Prince, the first male heir in hundreds of years, and not supposed to display emotions, especially as a male in their matriarchy society. He wants the society to evolve, and wanted a human mate to help with that, and because he believes that will allow him to continue to lead. Otherwise if he married a fertile dragoness, she would expect him to stay calm and hold down a corner somewhere, but not be involved.
Unfortunately not everyone is thrilled that he is the heir apparent, that he is mated to a weak and puny human female, that he wants to change and evolve multiple programs that include their penal system, educational aspects, exercise, etc. Lily and the Prince take a trip to see one of the areas that he is in the process of documenting so he can submit the project to the appropriate board. Shortly after they return she learns she is pregnant, which really amps up the threats she receives and her feelings that someone is out to get her.
I am going to stop there as I don't want to accidentally provide any spoilers or twists.
I volunteered to leave a honest review for an ARC of this book.
>I am an independent reviewer. This book is an alien romance with an HEA. In this reality, dragons are known to humans. Human women actually participate in a lottery to be paired with a dragon on their planet. Lily is an injured dancer who enters the lottery in order to take advantage of the dragon’s superior health care. She is also mated to the dragon prince, Eyrl. The dragons are taught to show no emotions and the male dragons are thought to be the more emotional of the species, opposite of humans.
>Lily throws everything into chaos with her overly emotional personality. Eyrl comes across as cold and unfeeling. He is very subservient and not at all domineering. He lets his queen mother and her aide walk all over him and Lily. Lily’s plan of health care is barely acknowledged as she falls for Eyrl. No explanation is given as to why she falls for a dragon man who won’t stick up for her. This romance didn’t feel very romantic.
>This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this book 3 stars. There is a bit of suspense regarding the queen’s aide, but the story was not very romantic.
This is a different kind of shifter story. In this world the dragon shifters do not embrace their "beast". As a rule, emotions are not shown or shared. Eryl is the Prince that has compassion and would like to change some things. Lily is a human, now unemployed and homeless, who just wants to start anew. I laughed that both of them chose the first photo to come up after submitting an application. Despite that, the more they were together the closer they got. Lily showed Eryl her compassion and intelligence and he showed her his softer side. After Lily's life is threatened, they take a trip to earth to see her parents. That is the funniest part of the book. The stern "father" looks and threats from Lily's dad to Eryl was hilarious. When Lily is kidnapped and the life of their unborn child is threatened, Eryl will do anything to save them. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Flames of Love I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of the book I received. Mated to the Dragon Prince is an Alien Human Romance written by Abella Ward. This story takes place at Bronæl Planet where Dragoness rule than Dragon. Eryl being the first throne Prince, in need of a mate to claim his throne . Lily, the human applies and reaches there with a motive to repair her ankle and get back to dancing, who knows the consequence of getting mated to a dragon. When Eryl chooses Lily to be his mate knowing the hurdles he have to face. On the way of knowing each other, Lily eventually falls in love, but it's a alien felling to the Dragon Prince. What happens, when Lily is taken from him on verge of him realising his love for her and how he gets back to her, his obstacles and enimes for his claim towards throne is at risk are the remaining story. Abella Ward handled the story well, a fast paced sci fi romance with erotic touch is good.
Yet another of Abella Ward's Stlozen dragons has decided to mate a human female rather than a Stlozen dragoness, and for very logical reasons. Of course, he's the heir to the throne - a rare male ruler on a planet ruled mainly by females - so there's opposition. Males are so weak and emotional (supposedly) that his human female will have to be exceptionally logical and strong to compensate for her mate's deficiency, and no-one, from his mother the Queen on down, thinks Eyrl has made a good choice. Lily is a dancer, for crying out loud, and no Einstein. But humans are resourceful and intelligent, so Lily sets about proving her worth, earning her place, and in the process teaches her dragon and his kind a well-timed lesson or two. More importantly, she teaches her dragon that love is strength, not weakness - and he proves to be one strong dragon!
The story features a male dragon shifter who is in a society that views men as being emotionally unstable and only women rule. Eyrl wants a human mate as he wants someone that will raise his children with some emotion unlike the dragon shifter women who look at emotion so negatively. Lily is a human willing to come to his planet to be his bride. She lost her opportunity to be a dancer due to a injury and has no real plans.
I liked how Lily tries to contribute positively to this new world. She wants to make a difference and show that feelings are not a bad thing. Eyrl is not sure what to make of her at first but finds her very desirable. They have very good chemistry. There are plots against them that add some danger and excitement to the story. I liked that the author allows both of them to narrate the story.
I have read all of Ms Ward's T-Shav books and liked them. This one was quite a bit different. Lily is a human who goes to Bromael to marry the prince. She went through a bunch of tests on Earth to make sure she was compatible biologically and with her education. Eryl is a dragon shifter. Their society is matriarchal, because men are too emotional. No man has ruled before, but Eryl is the Queen's only child. He has been trained to show no emotion at all, but he wants to try to change things and rule with compassion. So needless to say, a lot of dragonesses do not like Lily because she is human and shows emotion all the time. There is conflicts happening through out the book, even a kidnapping. I liked the book even if it wasn't a favorite. I would still recommend you read it if you like dragon shifter romances with action and adventure.
A fun alien romance that had a bit of royal intrigue. Interesting to see how Lily decides to become an alien bride to pursue her dream of dancing again but goes into it with her eyes wide open and ends up falling in love with Eyrl who also goes into the mating with a plan and too falls in love. Add in the royal intrigue and learning about alien culture to fit in. I thought it was a good read for a novella. It did seem a bit rushed at the end but it was a full story and ended well. Plus it was not full of just sex scenes but had a good story line. There were a few spots that did make me laugh as Eyrl and the others tried to understand an emotional human. I liked it and read it all at once. Just a fun light hearted read.
ARC - I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest! What to do that you have to be mated in order to get your crown? You find your mate of course. Lily was trying to find a way to fix her leg. If that means signing up for a matchmaking service, so be it. When Eyrl + Lily meet, they are attracted to each other. Is attraction going to be enough to keep them together ? Will Eyrl be able to woo Lily? Will Lily accept Eyrl as her mate? Loved the storytelling + the characters!
Eryl a dragon prince chooses Lily for a wife through a mating service. Lily has hurt her leg dancing and needs to leave earth to have it repaired. She accepts Eryl's proposal. The alien planet is a Matriarch Society where men are classified as too emotional to rule. This story is intriguing, suspenseful and romantic. A much recommended read. I am voluntarily reviewing an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This story was good, but I feel it should have been a little bit longer with more detail. If you just want a day read this book would be good. I like my books with more action and details even if they take longer to read. Lily a Earth person and Eyrl a dragon from another planet. They make a good couple, but can they make it with everyone against them? I received an arc copy for my honest review.
What an entertaining well written book,I didn’t want it to end. Lily goes to the alien planet as a mate for Eyrl a dragon prince. Eyrl is heir to the throne that normally has only female dragons that rule, men are seen as being to emotional and not fit to rule. Strong characters, great storyline. Loved it and would recommend highly. Voluntarily reviewed this advance copy.
This was a good read. The story was well written, with characters that you want to kick and ones you want to shake. Not sure if I like the Matriarch society, with the male classified as too emotional to rule. I didn't quite feel that the story was at an end, so maybe there is a following book? Overall a good read. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
What a great read. Love those dragons. I really enjoyed this one. It is exciting, suspenseful, fun, enjoyable, emotional and so much more. They have mutual needs that bring them together. But things get bumpy from there and things happen. I recommend it. I was given a review copy and voluntarily review it.
This is a very diverse book of stories! The first book is in an alien patriarchal society. Men are considered emotional. Interesting take on society. Second book about an alien purchase of a human female. And so a story about a dwarf and an elf. Then on to dragon's and alpha wolves.
Great book. There was a lot of interesting detail about other planets and a very intriguing idea to help another race. Drama, heat, friendship, love and more. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Absolutely loved this story great characters and a awesome storyline grabbed me from the start it's definitely worth taking the time to read I look forward to the next book from this author I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.
Had this on my shelf for a little bit. If started it and put it down several times. It has several different stories in the besides the one on the cover. I didn't care for the book on the cover but enjoyed other ones in this book.
An arranged marriage with lots of chemistry but a slower burn than some books. Definitely an enjoyable read. ***I decided to review an ARC of this book.***
I tried, but this just didn’t pull me in. The writing style felt stiff & awkward & the characters seemed flat & uninspiring. It did not motivate me to wasn’t to continue reading.
