Ancient artifacts which twice before have raised and then destroyed civilization.
René and Akeefa escape the murderous sultan of Morocco but are closely followed by his fanatic guard, the Bukhari. These assassins spend their lives with death, theirs or the object of their master’s command, it matters not.
Now, in the blockbuster conclusion to the Sun God’s Heir trilogy, René must find a way to fulfill a commitment made lifetimes ago. His long journey across the ages hurtles toward its climax, with the fate of his soul, and the direction of civilization at stake.
You’ll love witnessing the ancient powers unearthed and wielded.
The Sun God's Heir: Redemption (Book Three) by Elliot Baker is a fine story, which cleverly blends historical fiction, fantasy, romance, reincarnation & religion.
Baker's finale promised to be a riveting read, with lots of twists & turns, & revelations. Without, a shadow of doubt I was impressed. My favourite part being: Rene's final choice of weapon to disable Horemheb.
If I could find anything to complain about: it's the fact that the story has ended, as I would have loved to read another book in this series.
I love historical novels but not so much into scifi. This series of 3 books are a perfect blend. The historical part was engrossing and fast paced. The magical part went seamlessly into and added to the suspense and enjoyment. I was a little disappointed with the end. I won't give it away but love can not sure all and a good guy should have gotten the second chance. The bad guy had already redeemed himself. All in all a great read.
In REDEMPTION, the last book of THE SUN GOD'S HEIR series, Elliott Baker does a very good job of wrapping up an excellent trilogy. It is not a stand-alone book, and I strongly recommend reading the first two books in the series before reading this one. I enjoyed the fact that his protagonists, as basically decent as they are, are far from perfect and his antagonists, while clearly the “bad guys”, are not absolutely and unrealistically evil. The reason for the title of the book only becomes clear in the last few pages, although I suspect many readers will have a good idea where it is going long before it gets there. Elliott Baker’s trilogy THE SUN GOD'S HEIR, and REDEMPTION, the last book in the trilogy, are highly recommended.
Pirate’s, Slaver’s, Sword Masters, grand fighting ships, angry seas, angry camels, yeah camels—it’s Bold, Exciting. Action packed. Romantic. Philosophical. Most entertaining. Has it all. Worthy of a #STARZ replacement for the #OUTLANDER, series. I have read all three books, and one never let me down. Truly, enjoyable.
Well book three did not disappoint me in any way. Rene and Akeefa continued their journey to save mankind. Packed with suspense and definitely a page turner this seasoning adventure will not disappoint you. Will they be able to get there in time t save humanity. Great series!
The third book of the series started a little slow but built up to see dramatic finish. The interaction of the characters kept this reader on his toes. Thanks for the nice finish.
This book does a good job addressing many things in the series. The main characters face danger after Danger and no resolution is apparent. All are apparently doomed right up to the end of the book.
