Deep in the heart of the Louisiana bayou lurks danger … and love. Welcome to Shotgun Row, far away from Mardi Gras and the French Quarter. Down here, gators aren’t the most terrifying thing to prowl the shadows, hunting their next prey. And some of them turn back to humans when the tourists aren’t looking.
None of them have found a mate. Their beasts are too fierce. Their manners too gnarly. Their rush to violence too vengeful and swift.
Then Tansy moves into town, taking over her grandmother’s bakery. Etienne knows there’s something special about this latest addition to the motley crew of Shotgun Row. And he’s determined to learn everything he can about her, no matter what it takes.
This gator-shifter might have just found his match.
Etienne is an Amazing book. One of the best things about this book is how familiar the characters are. They are all likeable and I found them relatable. I personally love a book where the characters are relatable. Etienne is a brooding gator shift who was resigned to being alone then Tansy comes into his life and all of that changes. This is the first gator shifter book I have ever read and at first I was not sure about it but it is absolutely worth reading. I can not love this book enough.
I inhaled ETIENNE from start to finish and couldn’t get enough of the story it told and the characters it gave to us. I loved each one of these fun and fascinating people so very much and found them to be like old friends. Just like my friends I grew up with. Just one of the reasons I fell hard for this book.
Even better was Tansy. I felt she was able to truly be herself now that she was settled into her new home in Juneau and able to let go of her past a little bit at a time. She was home now and her personality grew, especially with Etienne. There was something about the two of them together that was magical and full. They definitely brought out the best in each other.
And I adored Etienne and his friends. They were a bunch of foul mouth heathens but in the best possible way. They were family. But what I loved best about them was that they looked out for one another and those in their town. They have huge hearts...but that mouth!
This story was a quick and entertaining read. More so than I was ever expecting. I quickly became enamored with it’s charm and eagerly read until I was done. Closing the book I was left with a smile on my face and a need for more. I cannot wait to see what comes next for these misfits and the trouble that is headed to town. 5 Stars!!
Etienne Robichaux is a gator shifter living with a motley crew of shifters in Shotgun Row in the swamps of Louisiana, he is a law man in the small town. He has always prided himself on being a tough male, never to be trampled with and he never entertains the idea of ever having a mate. After all what female in her right mind would want a gator shifter?
Tansy is a very bitter female when it comes to men, she was deeply hurt by one in college which also resulted in her expulsion. Now she comes back to the town where she grew up after the death of her mawmaw to take over her bakery.... But Tansy is a special girl if you can call it that, she still chats with her mawma and not in her head either and Marie isn't the only one. When Etienne comes into the bakery where good old Marie baked his favorite sweets, he is assaulted by the aroma of cinnamon & vanilla and his gator wants to burst through his skin. Will the ornery beast of a hunk be able to crack Tansy, after all he does smell like her favorite thing in the world.....Bacon!
The interaction Tansy has with Marie is mind blowing and so funny, oh and Etienne's crew really had me LoL.
I adored this new shifter book from this duo. Who knew gators could be sexy? The male characters are all insanely addictive! I haven’t loved a group of guys this much so quickly since starting Lords of the Underworld by Gena Showalter. The men are just insanely magnetic. That southern charm & banter between them makes them all irresistible. I can’t wait for more of these guys! Tansy is a great female lead - she’s not whiny, clingy, or annoying - the trap I fall into with a lot of female leads. She’s sassy & independent. I’m hoping to see Bruno a bit more because it feels like his story needs to be told. It felt like a lot of loose ends with regards to ole Bruno.
I loved my new discovery of these new authors and series. I’ve read 2 books in this series back to back in less than 36hrs. Heck who needs sleep. This series is amazing. I love the sassy girls and bayou bad boys. I can’t wait to read more of this amazing crew. I love that I am laughing out loud at the silly parts and get antsy in the crazy action parts. It definitely is a keeper. Please hurry and put out the rest of the series ASAP. Otherwise I’ll be rereading these till then. Thank goodness for them on kindle. I’m a book devourer and thankfully now I don’t have to keep replacing paperbacks multiple times like I used to. Thank you both for this amazing set of characters and I can’t wait for more of the crew to find their mates!
I enjoyed all of the characters in this book! Etienne is the hero and Tansy is the heroine but there are great supporting friends. Etienne is a gator shifter and Tansy sees dead people. That makes things very interesting, especially when her "Meemaw" just died and Tansy can still talk to her. Read this story to find out all the adventurous and funny stuff that happens on Shotgun Row which is where Etienne and his "crew" live in the bayou. Loving the beginning of what looks to be a great and addicting series.
Honestly... with so many 5 star reviews I’m surprised at how completely bland this book is. Don’t get me wrong, it’s cute and lighthearted but overall I expected... more. So many ravings about how it was amazing and I just feel like I read the wrong book or something because I didn’t care that much. From the get-go all I got was “meh”. There are so many amazing shifter novels out there and this wasn’t a memorable one for me.
Despite the interesting blurb this was a DNF which is very unusual for me. I was looking forward to reading about gator shifters thinking it would be a nice change. Unfortunately I just could not get past the writing and the speech style. It was confusing and at times incomprehensible due to the colloquialisms. Pity as it seemed interesting. This was a KU read so no hassles. I had grabbed book two but returned it unread.
Pretty good. I have never read about a gator shifter so that was pretty awesome. I liked the men of shotgun row and tansy and would like to see all Get HEA . There did seem to be some scene and time discrepancies here and there like one paragraph the would be in her house but the the next they were walking up to the house but it didn't take from the storyline. Kept me engaged and was a good first installment.
What a wonderful novel! Loved it! This book is simply hilarious! The language and dialogue are worth a read alone. The Cajun, Creole, and Southern flavor of Louisiana are unmistakable and very remarkable. Etienne, Tansy, the crew, and the secondary characters are to behold. The characters are very well written and developed. The setting, plot, and storyline will keep the reader interested. Go on over to Shotgun Row and be amazed!
Tansy & Etienne were both funny and down to earth! Great read by two amazing authors!!
"Hilariously funny, sharp and downright sexy...Ever & Lila have written a smashing intro to their new shifter series!" Trish F. Leger, Author of the Amber Druids Series.
Etti is a gator shifter that meets the granddaughter of a recently deceased friend named Tansy. Neither are looking for love but the future holds other plans for them. Tansy sees and talks to ghosts and there are plenty around Shotgun Row. This is a quick fun story and has great characters and plot I highly recommend this book.
Fun story. Great chemistry. Loved the characters. Immediately looked for the next book in the series. Would have given four stars but this book needs a better editor although the whom ever did the copy editing did a good job in my opinion. I’ll definitely keep reading the series. It’s just too fun to put down.
Gatorman!!! Never thought I'd read a shifter gator book...
But boy oh boy!!!! Glad I did! So glad Ever Coming....gotta love that name, wrote this book.... Read it. You won't be sorry....promise! I'd let that gator take me down and roll meeeee😂😂😂
I was a little slow getting into the story at first, but about a 1/4 of the way I was caught up in the book. Loved the characters. Between shifters and talking to ghosts the book has quite a few humorous moments.
Nice start to a new series with some pretty interesting characters. Lots of laugh and craziness with a healthy dose of sexy. I'll definitely check out the next book.
I like the premise of the story but the verb age was too tough to get through. The story was confusing at times with the different slang and switching perspectives. I did not end up finishing the book.
Oh My Gorgeous Gators! I Flippin' love this new series so much!
Ever Coming & Lila Grey have created My new Obsession get ready to meet a bunch of Somokin' hot Shifters and a Sassy sweet Heroine named Tansy!!!
Etienne combines Spine-tingling mystery, sizzling romance, and wickedly funny humor I stayed up all night devouring this delicious read and never wanted it to end!!!
I Need the next book Justice like Nowwww!!! #BringMeToJusticeBaby ;)
A quick read. Still had questions after the story was over. I liked Etienne and Tansy. The crew, though hodge podge, was endearing despite their protests of being a group.
