Joseph of Bethlehem: The Untold Story

Rate this book
What does a man do when his wife-to-be says she’s carrying the child of God?

Joseph of Bethlehem finds himself in circumstances that would test anyone’s faith, when suddenly responsible for a young girl named Mary, and in the path of an unrelenting waterfall of events for which no one was prepared.

How close is the Nativity story of today to what was told a few generations after Jesus’ birth? Is Joseph the man you thought him to be? How will Joseph overcome all that threatens the birth of Mary’s child, and would history have played out differently if another man had been chosen?

There is always another side to every story. Experienced from the perspective of Joseph leading up to the days of Jesus’ birth, it is the untold story of a man who learns to love again and a renewal of faith in his God.

Joseph of Bethlehem brings this unique man out from the shadows of history and presents a relatable tale of man who faced difficult tests of character and faith.

Hill based "Joseph of Bethlehem" upon the biblical and ancient texts written around the same time as those included in the Bible and the Quran Surah, and expands upon what is commonly taught about this holy couple and the turns leading up to the birth of Jesus.

Live life not to show others but live our own life and stay happy. I believe story will help us to broaden one's view and vision how to identify beauty and value from our simple daily life! “I love the way you find happiness in the moment— seeing the sun set, looking at the stars, watching the mother goat with her newborn kid. I love the way you notice the butterfly on the flower and wonder what it would be like to ride the warm spring wind throughout the day. I love that you never spend your time talking about others, what they have, or even bother repeating gossip. I love that you understand what is important. And I love the fact that with all my faults, you love me–”

Written from a secular point of view, the author treats the subject with grace and dignity, spinning a "what if" tale about a man who is little more than a name in a book most people haven't actually read. Hill's take on Joseph is so intriguing that, as you read, almost without noticing, you start to think "This is exactly what happened. It makes so much sense." And finally, you find yourself Googling the man and wanting to know more. Highly recommended.
