Michael Casoni
Plainclothes: A Michael Casoni police thriller
Plainclothes - a Michael Casoni police thriller. Casoni sends an undercover cop into the heart of New York's garment industry to investigate a brutal murder. This is the premise of another book in my cop series, and follows on from the tale in Manhunt. The story shows a colder side to Jennifer Santino and also features a formidable female assassin renowned for her deadly skills. Wu, the young patrolman plucked from the Academy for this dangerous assignment will have his work cut out to stay alive in this gripping police drama. It's the job of Casoni to keep his undercover alive long enough to stop the killers and testify against them. Wu, a determined and ambitious young cop is motivated by the lure of an early goldshield. But in a dangerous undercover role can he survive long enough to earn that shield?

A Short Case File
Plainclothes is written much like a police case file, with bare facts and all of the evidence mounting to build the ultimate case against the murdering business owner. People who enjoy a quick crime story read will find this to be very entertaining and satisfying. Not only do we get to see multiple points of view, we also get to have a great ending. I could very easily see this short story be made into a full-length book which would allow more time to build the characters’ backgrounds and personalities.
