Kendall Ryan strikes gold in her latest super star, Hitched, a romantic comedy spiked with steam, anchored by angst, and flooded with feels. The banter, bounce, and brilliance of this book wrap itself around you so tightly where you can’t help but be swept into this whirlwind romance. Addicting. Arousing. Alluring. Hitched is a fun, feisty, and flirty friends-to-lovers romance that hitches itself to your heart and hypnotizes you, never letting go.
When asked to do an early read of Kendall Ryan’s Hitched, I was honored. After reading the first few lines of the cocky and captivating synopsis, I was hooked. Hitched to Hitched. Anchored by its allure, I knew I would be in for a tantalizing and perhaps tortuous treat.
“Marry the girl I’ve had a crush on my whole life? Check.”
“Inherit a hundred-billion-dollar company? Check.”
“Produce an heir…wait, what?”
Childhood friends and now frenemies forced to wed and make a baby in mere months? I’m IN! I’m so far in that I’m swimming in this story before I’ve had my book date. I’m tied to this twisted tale. Deeply entwined in a sea of sweet seduction. Hitched quickly grabbed me and held on tight. I was devouring every word like a hungry lion; the story was my prey.
To land his father’s hundred-billion-dollar company, Noah Tate must land a bride, and produce an heir with his childhood friend and now frenemy, Olivia Cane. Olivia and Noah were hand-picked by their fathers, company co-owners, to marry and make grandbabies in mere months.
“I’ve always wanted Olivia. Always desired her, from before I even knew what those strange feelings were in my gut, my chest.”
It’s too bad his childhood crush is unrequited as Olivia can’t stand Noah. Though there is nothing Noah loves more than a challenge. The gorgeous blonde, blue-eyed, and hour-glass-figured Olivia is a challenge he’d like to conquer like Mount Everest. So for Noah it’s game on.
“I’m not losing the $100 billion company that my father built because the ice queen won’t play nice.”
Noah is the company manwhore who has satisfied many single female employees and countless other willing women in and out of the office. Dark-haired and dark-eyed, gorgeous, and a body made for sin, Noah loves sex and aims to please.
“To me, sex is a competitive sport. I know the rules, I play hard, and I always win.”
Hell will freeze over before the cool and collected Olivia falls for this manwhore, no matter how hard and long she has fantasized about a hot night or few with Noah. She won’t succumb to his charm or smoldering stare. She can’t continue lusting after her teenage crush.
“I’ve already gotten a view of his toned body, firm chest, and six-pack abs…It’s ridiculous how easily Noah grabs my attention…He’s the thing my teenage fantasies were made of.”
For Olivia to agree to the marital sham, Noah must convince her that they can be friends and tolerate each other, and woo her a bit. Oh, and he’s only allowed to hit first base. No homeruns with the manwhore for Olivia.
“First base only, as I believe you said. And fully clothed. Which means you keep that giant thing in your pants.”
Staying on first base and guarding her may be easier said than done for Olivia as Noah is pulling out the big guns, with one giant 9-inch gun in his pants that’s definitely aimed at her. He would love to thaw out the ice queen, preferably with some body-to-body contact in the sheets.
Olivia is doomed as Noah is the King of Seduction. His dirty talk is off-the-charts HOT.
“This pussy is mine now, and we both know it. I’m going to take damn good care of my wife.”
I’m scorching from Noah’s dirty talk, and they haven’t even hit a homerun.
“Everything about this woman is stiff and unrelenting. What I need is to get her to loosen up and relax. She’s wound too tight…Work aside, that becomes my next priority.”
Tick tock. Tick tock. Time is running out to save the company and if Noah wants Olivia to go willingly as his bride, he must up his game. Olivia is still holding out for something real: love.
“I know what I’m getting myself into, Noah. Besides, my focus is going to be on saving this company, not pretending to be the happy little wife to my fake husband.”
Noah has to melt his Snowflake and convince her that there is more to him than his rich, cocky, and hot exterior. He has to show Olivia the humble and nice guy she knew as a child: the man who has always cared for her.
“I’ll win you over, Snowflake. This will happen.”
What a delicious and decadent ride! Hitched hooks you hard with a dual dose of heat and heart where you don’t want to escape as you are embedded in this sensational story. Explosive and entertaining like fireworks, and emotionally-entwined like first love, Hitched leaves you aching for more. The banter and angst fuel the fire of the sweet and spellbinding storyline.
Kendall Ryan dropped a book bomb of bliss. I was captivated and completely immersed into the hot and humorous Hitched, which harnessed my heart and held on to my head. I am thoroughly hitched to Hitched and I don’t want to let go.
