Exposure is the third book in the Incandescent series by author Sylvie Parizeau. Each of the books in the Incandescent series can be read as standalones, but they are all set in the same world and there is some character overlap, so you would probably be best served if you read the books in order. I am going to be completely honest with you. I had every intention of reading the books in order, but the end of the year (and Thanksgiving totally snuck up on me, and I didn't have a chance to read either books one or two.) But, the silver lining here is that I wasn't lost or confused while reading Exposure. And I really enjoyed P.O.'s story, so now I am even more excited and determined to read the first two books because I am sure they are going to be just as awesome as this one.

Exposure is Philippe-Olivier Tisserot, or P.O. for short, and Auréle's story. PO is seriously one of my favorite characters I have read about all year. I don't know how anyone can not love him. First of all, he is seriously smart. Crazy smart even. I love a computer hacker. So I was rooting for him right from the first chapter. PO and Auréle were really interesting together. I think what I liked most about them, without giving too much away, is that their story felt fresh and different. Sylvie Parizeau took some cool approaches, and she surprised me, which if pretty hard to do in a contemporary romance. Most of the surprise was from Auréle herself.

We also got to see the main characters from the first two books. It was nice to see the end result of their stories and I know it was really nice to see them incorporated in this book for readers that have followed them from the first and second book. PO and Auréle had a wonderful slow burn relationship from friendship eventually to something more. I really enjoyed their story. It was a fun read, full of emotion and great character development.

Bottom line: fans of smart guys getting the girl, and slow burn romances full of heart will love PO. Reading Exposure certainly made me want to read the rest of the books in the Incandescent series.
