Two virgins walk into an orgy… Jenny McClure is officially on the date from hell. One she didn’t even want to go on, not when she has studying to do. Not only was dinner awkward, but her date decides taking her to an orgy in the middle of nowhere is the perfect way to end the night. On a first date. That her aunt set her up on. Now Jenny is witnessing things her virgin eyes will never be able to unsee. Spencer Wainwright might be the most discussed college quarterback in years. But not for the reasons he would prefer, like his athletic abilities. No, instead people can’t stop talking about his sex life. Or lack of one. His teammates feel the need to help him get rid of his pesky virginity by kidnapping him after practice and dropping him off at an orgy in the middle of nowhere with no phone and no ride. One glance across a sea of writhing, naked bodies changes their lives forever. Safe A book where once the hero and heroine meet, there is no one else in the picture for either of them. No attraction to anyone else. No kissing anyone else. No hooking up with anyone else. NO cheating. Every Surprisingly Safe book is guaranteed to not only be safe, but also HOT with a little humor, and can be read over your lunch break. Enjoy!
I really enjoyed this story! Don't let the premise scare you away. This book was sweet, steamy and absolutely safe! It was a short read, perfect for a lunch break or a bed time story!
-no cheating or OW/OM drama whatsoever - no pushing away - instalove - no violence of any nature - steamy - both are virgins -3 fantastic epilogues 6 months, 5 years and 20 years later.
This was a fast, sweet, hot and completely safe read! I liked both Spencer and Jenny! And I absolutely loved that Spencer's dad regretted his days of whoring it up before he met his wife! I also loved that he shared this with Spencer and that is what made Spencer wait until he met "the one". The epilogues are great!
I haven't read anything in two weeks. I thought I would start with this one. I know it just me because many of my GRs friends enjoyed this one. I'm not saying I didn't like it I just found it ok. One thing I didn't like was that they had just met and hero is already planning to plant his baby in her womb and her getting more wet thinking on getting pregnant with his baby. she doesn't get pregnant right away but if she did, I probably would have given it a low rating that the one is getting now.
Super cute and sweet shorty. It was totally OTT unbelievable but I didn’t care. I just finished reading a dark trilogy and this story is just what I needed.
Two virgins walk into an orgy and..... Sounds like the beginning of a joke but it is the premier of this story. They were nice college she kids that meet and fall in love. They both stumbled into the party due to a blind date and a practical joke but it is the start of their love story. It was a little too graphic in the boudoir, so to speak, for me. A little cringe worthy in my opinion but I think I have become somewhat prudish in my dotage, so just know that is a personal observation and you can ignore it. The epilogue is in the future and they had three children. If it wasn't so graphic, I would have loved this.
This is the first book I've read by Brandy Ayers and I really enjoyed it. It was short but boy did it pack a punch and I laughed my ass off. Normally I'm not a big fan of the H being a virgin especially when he all of a sudden becomes a porn star. I've been married for fifteen years and my husband still couldn't find my g-spot even if he had a map so I find it hard to believe when the H gets it the first time. Anyway my point was it didn't bother me in this book because it was necessary to the story. As soon as I read the blurb - Two virgins walk into an orgy ... I knew I had to read this book and I was thoroughly delighted by it. Spencer Wainwright is a senior and the star quarterback for the University of Wildwood Colts. His father was a third string quarterback in the NFL and he always regretted being promiscuous wishing he would've waited until he met his wife. Growing up seeing his parents so in love and knowing the story of his parents was probably why Spencer was still a virgin. He made the mistake of letting it slip when he got to college so everyone knew he was a virgin and his teammates gave him a hard time about it. They blindfolded him, took his cell phone, and left him in the middle of nowhere at an orgy. Jenny is a student at the University of Wildwood where she has a double major of Biology and Zoology. She devotes all her time to school and volunteering at a local animal shelter and has little time for anything else. When her Aunt sets her up on a date Jenny has no clue she will end the night at an orgy in the middle of the woods. Jenny is also a virgin so she's more than a little shocked when her blind date takes her there after dinner telling her they're going to a house party. When she asks him to take her home he tells her no because he's been on a waiting list for months and then strips down and joins the crowd. Jenny texts her roommate Monique for a ride and then takes out her textbook to study while she waits. Spencer notices the beautiful woman across the room probably because she's the only one besides him that's dressed and also because she looks as out of place as he does. Spencer was so adorably awkward at first and then he turned into a total sexy caveman. Jenny was clueless as to who Spencer was because she didn't follow sports at school and only focused on her studies and that was one of the things that attracted him to her. It you're in the mood for OTT insta-love where the H and h go from virgins to nymphos but in the most adorable way then this is for you. I can't wait to read more from this talented author. One complaint I have is I didn't really like how there was no proposal, she just found the ring in his drawer and put it on. Spencer was so damn romantic he would've had something beautiful planned not that.
What a sweet and hot story! A nerd and a quarterback, you'd think this was another cliche, but it is not the case: they were not only both virgins, but met on the most uncommon occasion, an orgy!
Wow... What can I say other then oh my holy goodness. This book is a very fast read. You start reading and I guarantee you won't stop. And nasty. Oh my god... Let's say the title is lying. The first few pages are steamy
This was a good Insta love story! This is the story of Spencer and Jenny. They meet at an orgy that neither ne wants to be at and it is love at first sight! This is a quick, sexy and sweet read. This is my first book by Brandy Ayers and I am excited to read more.
1.5 stars. This was a short so I️ wasn’t expecting much in the way of character or plot development. There wasn’t any. But it was totally cheesy and OTT sweet. I️ mean, who doesn’t love a double virgin/ one and onlys story? So for that, another half star.
3.5 Stars This story is short, fast paced and sweet. I read this book in one sitting and was left wanting more. This book is the first book of Brandy Ayer’s that I have read. Because of that, I wasn’t sure on what to expect. I found the writing style easy to follow, the story enjoyable and the characters loveable. Although this half of this book is steamy, I also found the whole of the story sweet. I was amused that they both met at an orgy that they didn’t want to be at. Two virgins at an orgy, who would’ve thought it. I liked Spencer and Jenny. I liked how they met, I liked that they were both virgins and I liked the chemistry between them. I loved that Spencer hadn’t given into peer pressure. He wanted a love like his parents had. As soon as he saw Jenny, he knew she was the one for him. I liked how honest both characters were with one another. I liked that neither of them were embarrassed confessing that they were virgins. The chemistry between Jenny and Spencer was clear to see, they were a perfect match for one another. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and a nice read. I hope for more books like this one from Brandy Ayer’s.
I would usually equate the description "safe" in a book to mean a sweet romance with little or no overt sex scenes but that is not the case!! This book is indeed sweet - Spencer and Jenny have sweet and pure attraction to each other but this book is definitely STEAMY! It's a novella so it's a quick but satisfying read. I loved the epilogues.
Jenny is out on the worst possible date when her date takes her to an orgy... Spencer’s teammates want him to lose his virginity, so they blind fold him and drop him off at that same orgy... can you find the love of your life at a place you least expect it?? -double virgins -safe read -no om/ow drama -great epilogues (6months, 5 years, 20 years)
This one was okay. If you've read Alexa Riley's Shielding Lily then imagine that without anything even approaching a plot. It is full of OTT ridiculousness... but the craziest thing? The Dallas Cowboys won two Super bowls in the first epilogue. Fiction at its finest, lol.
Good. I was pleasantly surprised with this book. It had so much more to it then I first thought it would and it turned out to be really good. The characters where sweet and funny. it doesn't feel like a short story at all. I'm glad I decided to read this. :)
This is my first book from miss Brandy , and I must say I did love it ! The only reasons I am giving it 4stars and not 5 is Because I wish it would have lasted a little longer and I could have had a more in-depth perception of the characters Spencer and Jenny. Spencer is a smart ,strait forward guy who is sweet but all alpha male in the bedroom while Jenny is smart, funny ,kind and a freak in bed who likes to be spanked 😱wish I could give it a 4.9 Star 😊. The story was surprising sweet even though it started out in an orgy party. The main characters were both thrown into this party and they didn’t even want to be there but as fate had it , it looked like they were meant to find each other that night. This was a fast read full of spicy parts with Spence and Jenny. I love how everything came together . I can’t tell anymore of what happens without giving the story away , so pick up a copy for yourself 😊 Happy reading everyone!
I’m not being picky, I swear, but one part that bothered me was that his teammates were supposed to have taken his phone! He used her phone to text his phone so he’d have her number and his buddies replied to the text. So how did he have his phone if they hadn’t left his house since they got there?!?! Maybe I somehow missed that part? It’s a small thing but sometimes if I get hung up on an inconsistency then I can’t enjoy the book as much. I didn’t let it affect my rating though.
Really enjoyed this quick read. This is my first Brandy Ayers book, but it won't be my last. For epilogue lovers like me, you will love the THREE epilogues in this one.
The intriguing plot hooked me in and the genuine characters kept me reading. Jenny and Spencer had meaningful conversations and got to know each other within a short span of time. It was insta-lust and insta-love, but done in sort of realistc way. The characters expressed how they felt it was crazy that they had such strong feelings when they were literally strangers just hours ago. This book was also surprisingly funny, especially in the beginning. Overall, the tone was light-hearted. This girl-meets-boy-and-they-fall-in-love story was well executed in the short length.
HERO - Spencer Wainwright. College student and star quarterback. Majoring in Education with a concentration in World History. 6’4 with a square jaw and dimples. Dark (blond) hair and deep brown eyes.
HEROINE - Jenny McClure. College student double majoring in Zoology and Biology. 5’2 with a round face and slightly chubby cheeks. Deep chocolate brown hair and blue eyes. Exaggerated hourglass figure.
OVERALL THOUGHTS - Okay, this one got me to literally laugh out loud. I was SO pleasantly surprised at how GOOD this novella is! Brandy Ayers is a new author for me so I didn’t know what to expect going into it. What I found is a story filled with a great balance of humor, heart, and eventually, heat.
I loved every single character in this book, including the side characters. The author conveyed their personalities so effortlessly, it seemed. My girl Jenny pulls out a textbook and starts studying while an orgy is going on around her. Spencer is respectful, but clear about what he wants - her. In his life. Forever. Honestly, I would have loved this as a full-length novel. Either way, it’s going on my favorites shelf.
It’s not perfect, of course. I did find a couple discrepancies. Spencer’s hair is described as dark early in the story and then he’s blond later on. That may have just been an omission error, though. Maybe the author meant to say “dark blond hair”? Also early on, we learn that Spencer’s teammates have his phone, but later his phone is found in his discarded clothing. There was no mention of anyone returning it to him. Finally, there’s a minor timeline error, but it’s so inconsequential it’s not even worth getting into, just something I noticed.
Those errors did nothing to reduce my enjoyment of this book, though. The epilogues are so sweet and steamy! I highly recommend you try this book if you’re looking for a short read that packs a punch.
Premise: A nerd, Jenny, ends up studying in a orgy after a very bad date her aunt sent her up in takes her there but then she gets approached by the future love of her life, Spencer, the famous virgin quarterback who was thrown into the same orgy blindfolded without a phone by his teammates. What a day it turned out to be for them!
The things I liked about this book:
- A very safe book! Both the MCs had been saving their first kiss. - I felt their connection even though this is an insta-love kinda story which is rare... - The circumstances in which they met made it umm interesting and unique lol and I especially loved it when things came to full circle in epilogue 2 the hero buys the orgy place in which they first met in and turns it into an animal shelter. I loved how he perfectly described how the heroine looked on that day-studying in the floor- when he first saw her. Then I loved it even more when they were about to give the place one last sexual adventure by christening it below the mirrors :) - Epilogue: 3 One after 6 months, then 5 years, then 20 years - Kids: 3- as mentioned in second epilogue
Triggers: mentioned in epilogue 3 that the heroine had breast cancer
This never gets old...what do you get with two virgins at an orgy? Another great book from Brandy Ayers. I really am just so damn impressed with her writing style and her books.
Jenny is on a date that was set up by her aunt...and he takes her to an orgy...wth. Spencer is there because his teammates are always teasing him about still being a virgin, so they dropped him off and left him at the orgy. He is a highly sought after mythical virgin college quarterback, everyone knows that he is and he could give a crap less. Love this guy, he makes me proud to be a hero hoarder. He sees Jenny and is instantly attracted to her. They finally get a ride back to campus from her more than amusing roommate. When these two come together...whew, I mean held up in house for days kind of whew😉😈.
This was a great insta-love story. Safe read with two hot af virgins, a shit ton of baby batter. Funny af, with equally funny supporting characters, her roommate *shakes head*. These two were relationship goals all the way. Great epilogues, as in plural and a great hea. Flove, flove Brandy Ayers books.
