The Tiger's Innocent Bride: Howl Romance introduces you to Devlin Kerr, a police officer who is also a shifter. He is assigned security for the Mayor at an event. He knows the Mayor has had his share of tragedy. His wife was killed. At the event Devlin lays eyes on Paige Lundin, the Mayor's daughter, and he knows he has seen his mate. He has to protect her so when he very life is threatened he shifts into a tiger and saves her life. That attraction between Paige and Devlin is new to her. She is intrigued by his ability to shift and sees his tiger as beautiful. When Paige and Devlin are caught in a compromising position, the two see getting married as the logical solution.
What Paige and Devlin did not anticipate was the backlash their marriage would cause. Now the shifters, who have tried to blend into the background, are in the news. The media is also saying ugly things about both Paige and Devlin because they do not understand shifters in general or how the Paige could possibly marry one. But Paige and Devlin grow closer and closer. Not only do they satisfy each other physically but they seem to complete one another. Paige gets introduced to other shifters and she realizes it is an entire community of them right around them that she never knew.
When Devlin refuses to work for a crooked agency, Paige is kidnapped. Devlin works with the shifter community to try and rescue Paige, who is also carrying their child.
Torres combines steamy romance with action and a bit of suspense. I really enjoyed the book. I am new to shifter books but I find I am enjoying them a great deal. This one is well written and kept me engaged throughout.

This is a thoroughly gripping, emotionally thrilling, action packed romantic adventure filled with passion, danger and just a hint of mystery. Loved every heart pounding twist in this story.

Loved
Absolutely loved this story! Paige is innocent without being naive. Devlin dominate without being overbearing. Their love story starts out with a roar..literally! Shifters are real! Political pressure, public outcries...problems from both sides yet he knew she was his instantly and she somehow accepts it. We get quick intros to future Sylvan City Alphas and just know there are more fantastic couples ahead. Trina never disappoints...her characters always have a great depth to them that capture a reader. As always looking forward to more

This is a quick read because you won't want to put it down. Paige didn't release another black tie affair for her father the Mayor would change her life.
Devlin was the new cop in town so he got the jobs nobody wanted to mess with. He didn't think putting on a suit would change his life forever.
This book contains happily ever after romance and suspense. You will fall in love with each character.

I think this was a good book and I will recommend it to others.
This is the story of Devilin Kerr an officer who comes out as a tiger shifter, in order to save his Mate Paige, and how they deal with the very public aftermath.
My only complaint is that it is short and ends kinda abruptly with the conflict not really resolved. overall it's a good book worth the read.

This is the first tiger shifter book I've read and I really enjoyed it. If you're on the fence about shifter books, I highly recommend this. I loved Devlin and Paige's book. I honestly didn't want it to end.

The safety of a mate
What an amazing start to a series! The author put together this exciting beginning and slowly began to introduce characters we are sure to find in future stories. I love the close knit community, the willingness to rally together and the ability for them to change. I loved this book all of the way to the HEA and I can’t wait to see what happens next.

Devlin Kerr was ready to give up on his police career until a transfer to Sylvan City changes everything for him when he meets his mate while working security at a society event. However, when he exposes his kind to the world in order to save his mate, Devlin finds himself needing to do everything he can to protect his mate from further danger. Will Devlin be able to keep Paige safe, or will he lose the one woman that calms the beast within him?
What another fantastic paranormal story Ms. Torres has penned in this book, which started off brilliantly with the introduction of the hero. Being the rookie of his new precinct isn't easy, but at least it leads to him to finding the one. However, it was from the moment the hero and heroine came face-to-face for the first time that had me hoping that things wouldn't get too dangerous for the pair, as things could go either way for shifters after what Devlin does.
Both the main characters were fascinating and I loved how the secondary characters added that extra something special to this story, as it wasn't easy to decide who the pair could trust. Moreover, the heroine goes through a lot throughout this story, especially with the danger she's in. Yet, she's resilient and courageous in giving Devlin a chance. Will he be able to keep her safe? Will he be able to put his trust in anyone that isn't a shifter? I also liked that she gave Devlin a chance because she can see he's a good guy right from the moment they meet, even though he does something that should scare her.
While the hero, he's confident, a total rule breaker and isn't afraid to stand up to those that try to threaten or intimidate him. I also liked how the hero won over the secondary characters in the heroine's father and some of his colleagues on the force, because he needs people on his side when things get dangerous. Yet, what I liked most of all about the hero is how protective Devlin was of the heroine and that he would do anything to make sure they have a future together. Will he be able to save her when things get a little too dicey?
Overall, Ms Torres has delivered a really good read in this book where the chemistry between this couple was strong; the romance special because the heroine is his mate and he would do anything for her; and the ending had me worried for one of the main characters, but had me absolutely happy that these two get their forever after. However, it was the epilogue that wrapped this story up nicely, because of this couple's happiness to what's going on in their lives. I would recommend The Tiger's Innocent Bride by Reina Torres, if you enjoy paranormal romance or books by authors Celia Kyle, Eve Langlais, Milly Taiden and Nancy Corrigan.

Well, it looks like I have another series of Ms Torres’ to get myself hooked on – and I’m really liking the direction of this one. In case you haven’t noticed it this first story is in the Howls Romance line, the next is part of the Paranormal Dating Agency Kindle World, and the third (due out in March of 2018) is part of the BAD Alpha Dads… and who knows where we go from there. So, yes. I’m definitely loving this combining of other worlds with the Sylvan City Alphas. As I was reading the story blurbs for the next two stories I realized that we met the main character in Devlin and Paige’s story so I’m hoping that we might occasionally run into previous couples from this new world.
In this new world the human population, for the most part, have no idea that shifters exist. So when Devlin burst into his tiger when his mate is threatened with a gun chaos erupts along with the gunfire. He was stepping in to save his mate’s life but not everyone sees his actions that way. Paige felt something for this stranger the moment their eyes met, far more than gratitude. So when they both came up with the crazy idea at the same moment, she was certain that Devlin was just as affected as she was. It was crazy but she trusted this man, this person who could turn into the most beautiful white tiger ever. She felt safe with a man who would put his life on the line for her. So she became his mate and entered into a world full of mystery and danger.
I liked Devlin and Paige individually and together. Paige becomes stronger, stands up for herself more the longer they are together. When danger strikes she does what she can to help. Devlin is pure power and sexiness. He stands between his mate and the new dangers that they’ll face because of his reveal of his nature. But nothing in the world will keep him from her side. There are twists and turns, betrayals and people acting like the idiots a fearful of the unknown mob always produces.
If you like fast paced action you’ll find it here. Love those steamy sexy moments – got that covered. Need some love in your romance – you’ll melt at this couple. The Tiger’s Innocent Bride pretty much has it all covered. It’s also full of intriguing secondary characters that we’ll probably be seeing more of as the series continues. If you love a fast paced, action filled, sexy romance series then get started on the Sylvan City Alphas series I’m pretty sure you’ll be hooked, too.

Devlin Kerr, transfers to the Sylvan City Police Department after five long years with the Chicago Police Department. Things are just as difficult for him here as in Chicago, but Devlin loves being a Policeman, but hates the Politics of it all. After pulling in a lot of bull he finds himself assigned to a Political event for the Mayor and needless to say things go sideways in a big way.
Society Socialite, Paige Lundin, also the daughter of the current Mayor was tired of the Political backstabbing and fake courtesies, but what could she do, she loved her dad, and after her mother was murdered, she and her dad really only had each other. But living in the spotlight was wearing on her, especially with the Mayoral staff curbing her dietary needs to make her more “suitable” visually instead of her er graceful curves they felt inappropriate.
Thrown together at the Political Function, in the most alarming way, Devlin does what he needs to to save his newly found Mate and Paige is saved from death by a very large and unexpected Tiger!
Previously unknown Shifters are outed when Devlin shifts to save and protect Paige, and then everything gets that much more hairy!
The attraction the feel for one another is unstoppable, but so many entities try their best to separate them. Lust/love at first sight hits them both and nothing and no one stands between them and what they both need.
What an incredible “first time” shifter novel! I enjoy how Author Reina Torres takes us through the “awakening” of Shifters in society. Awesome characters with absolutely wonderful characteristics that make you love them and hate them as you come across them! There are a few Her I just wanted to slap just because you could see the “nastiness” about them that they try to hide from others. And absolute fun read!! Well Done!🌺

The other sucker punch problem well not so much a problem for Devlin as an officer but as a Tiger Shifter was that smack dab in the middle of the cross-hairs? Was his mate.
Devlin knew that the secrets be damned. Devlin did everything and anything it took to save his mate. Then suddenly there's danger coming at them from every direction.

If you're looking for one of Reina Torres' 'sweet and clean' books, this does not fit that bill. This book has both cursing (including f-bombs) and explicit on-screen sex, so if those things will cause you to leave a bad review, you should skip this one.
I don't usually read shifter books, but I really liked this take on the theme. This story had a ton of intrigue and action, and needing to know what was going to happen made it hard for me to put it down. I really thought that I had the plot and the Big Bad figured out early on, but it turns out that I was totally wrong. A book that can surprise me is something that I just love.
While there isn't really any personal relationship between Devlin and Paige before they become mates, the relationship that they build together after that moment was both steamy, and surprisingly sweet. Despite the fact that they rushed into their initial partnership, the way that they grew into a loving couple was really fun to watch. I especially enjoyed how much Paige protected Devlin. There's a relationship twist that I won't spoil but that I also absolutely loved.
The secondary cast of rag-tag shifters was also fabulous, and I found myself loving them and hoping that a couple of them get their own books – a fact that surprised me greatly because, as I have said before, I don't usually enjoy shifter stories.
I highly recommend this story to anyone who enjoys a really well-written shifter story.

I give The Tiger's Innocent Bride: Howls Romance by Reina Torres four stars. This is book one of the Sylvan City Alphas book. This is a well written book, very action pack, and a quick read. This is a must read if you love shifter romance!
Devlin Kerr is a Tiger Shifter, and also works in in the Sylvan Police Department. He has only been on the job with this police department for three weeks when the Captain suckers him into working as security for a big society event. He never would have believed what was going to happen at this event. When he looked up on the stage at the event and saw a woman in danger he never thought he that woman would be his mate that he had never meant. She was in danger and the only way to save her was to shift and reveal he was a tiger.
Paige Lundin finds herself in danger as she stood by her father's side at a society event, what happens next she never would have believed if she didn't see it with her own two eyes. She is not scared of Devlin and she feels a pull she can not deny. Less then twenty four hours after being saved she finds herself marrying the man that saved. Devlin Kerr is a man of many facets. Law Enforcement officer. Loyal friend. Fierce Protector. Tiger shifter. When a assignment at a mayoral event results in Devlin having to shift into his tiger form to save the mayor’s daughter, more than mayhem ensues. The fact that animal shifters exist in Sylvan City is now exposed to the general population, and the government and shifter community must figure out a way for all parties to get along. For Devlin, establishes a connection to Paige Lundin that will never fade, for he has finally met his mate. But the future is not certain for Devlin and Paige as well as the Shifters and Sylvan City…..
This story had a very interesting premise, but I felt it was not as smoothly written as some of Ms. Torres’ prior books. There seemed to be gaps here and there that really interrupted the flow. And any book involving shifters is fantastical, but at times the plot bordered on ridiculous regarding the characters reactions, which was surprising for this author. But I enjoyed Paige and Devlin as well as learning about Sylvan City and other shifters. The action, suspense and romance was all there!

This book was quick and entertaining. The plot kept me engaged and I loved the insight into how some people would project their bias onto others because of fear or lack of understanding. Paige and Devlin were a cute couple and I loved how he spoke to and about her. I loved that Paige's dad was so supportive and loving when it came to her. I also enjoyed the brief insights into the secondary characters, Boone, Cage, Forrest, and Dominic.
What I didn't like and the reasoning behind my rating was that there was no true indication of time and transition. This made the story feel rushed and a bit erratic. It also left quite a few open ended questions. Why was Jameson so mean to Paige and how did he get away with it so long? Kelly shared some insight into her actions towards Paige, but it didn't explain anything that happened before Paige and Devlin met.
Overall, I liked the book and look forward to more from the author.

What I didn't like and the reasoning behind my rating was that there was no true indication of time and transition. This made the story feel rushed and a bit erratic. It also left quite a few open ended questions. Why was Jameson so mean to Paige and how did he get away with it so long? Kelly shared some insight into her actions towards Paige, but it didn't explain anything that happened before Paige and Devlin met.
Overall, I liked the book and look forward to more from the author.

This is Book 1 in the Sylvan City Alphas. Devlin Kerr is a Police Officer for Sylvan City. He’s not happy when his Captain has him working security at a society event. Shifters have not come out to the world in this book so nobody knows that he’s a tiger. While at the society event, a man pulls a gun and starts yelling at the mayor. He then points the gun at the mayor’s daughter, Paige. That’s when the world as it’s known is changed. Paige is Devlin’s mate! This book is amazing. I couldn’t put it down until I finished it. The mating may have been quick but it was so interesting the way the author tells the world about shifters. It will keep your attention from the beginning until the end. The build up from other shifters is really good. I can’t wait to read more books in the series. I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

An action packed and sexy story that gets your heart racing right from the start. Tiger shifter, Devlin, was hot, sexy and protective. Innocent Bride, Paige, appears to be quiet but she's just strong enough to take on an alpha tiger and be his perfect match. I enjoyed this story very much. I'm not crazy about politics in general so I didn't really care for all the political aspects but being that the heroine was the Mayor's daughter it was a much needed part of the story. But it was action packed enough that the story kept me intrigued and reading until the very end. Overall a very satisfying shifter story. Can't wait to read more about the shifters in Sylvan City. Lots of potential alpha shifter heroes in this town.

This story is short, fast paced and action packed. I read this book in one sitting and wasn’t once bored. This book is the first book of Reina Torre’s that I have read. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the story action packed.
I really liked that Paige stood by Devlin throughout. Not once did she deny her feelings for him. I liked that Paige felt protective of Devlin. I also liked how protective and possessive Devlin was of Paige. The chemistry between Paige and Devlin was clear to see. I liked them as a couple.
I really wanted to punch Jameson and Kelly. I couldn’t stand their attitudes or the way they treated Paige and Devlin.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and an enjoyable read.

Great new series......
This book is an excellent start to the Sylvan City Alphas series, and also another marvelous contribution to the ever growing Howls Romance series!! I am becoming a complete Reina Torres fan girl with every book by her I read. Devlin and Paige had a very unusual start to their love story, and this caused the secret of shifters to be outed to the world. There is a lot going on in Sylvan City, but it creates a great opportunity for there to be a lot more books in this series to show how everything changes and evolves with shifters being out in open. I look forward to seeing the directions that Ms. Torres takes this world. I am completely confident that it will be one hell of a fun and sexy ride!!!!

Really enjoyed this book that is leading us into a new world of shifters. What better way than to start at the top. We get plenty of action and world building. I have read book 3 in the series so I know these are supposed to be standalone so I look forward to the answers left about the agency and some other unfinished business. I love that the author is introducing us to a different type of shifter than we are used to seeing as these weren't crazy about him going public but the reaction seemed to deem when it was realized she was his mate. I did love that this author didn't give us a wimpy female but one that had backbone. I love how great her father was with the whole thing so this just worked for me. Overall a great start to a new series which I can't wait to get more of.

Paige is the Mayors daughter and Devlin’s mate. Her luck over the years has been terrible, that is until Devlin..... or is it????
Secondary characters were intriguing and added to the timeline of the story and built Paige and Devlin as more familiar to the reader.
The plot was consistent and intriguing. The twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat until the end.
At first the story felt ver insta love..... until the story continued, then as the characters grew, their relationship and my feelings for them grew too. Loved it!

"Lethal Weapon Tony the Tiger (Frosted Flakes), The Mayor's daughter and (nonexisting up to that point) A shifter. A hero a true blue cop saves the girl by revealing his tiger. Oh by the way in front of cameras and reporters. What do you think happens? Can you guess the drama, the cop jokes or maybe movies you could think of to go with the book's scenario. I'm never disappointed when I read a Reins Torre's book and the other authors she collaborates with. Look forward to the next took in the series.

This is shifter romance with tons of heart. Devlin sees Paige knows immediately she is his mate. Devlin is headstrong does not want to be in limelight. Due to his protecting Paige he is now in the spotlight. He will do anything to protect his mate. Devlin sees Paige in a way she has always wanted to be seen. She wants to be with Devlin even after she sees what his tiger can do. Paige has a brave and innocent spirit. Reina totally captivated me with this insta-romance. Paige was wonderful herione. I love how Devlin give Paige confidience to believe in herself. I would totally recommend this book to anyone that loves insta-romance. Looking forward to the rest of this series.

Paige and Devlin just stole my breath away! This book had me in awe the whole time. It has super hot scenes, with a hotter tiger shifter as the hero and an innocent mayor's daughter as the heroine. Loved how Devlin was so strong, protective and determined, and, on the contrary, Paige was sweet, calm and more slow paced, his ying to her yang. Lots of more shifters introduced, so I hope there are more stories brewing because Reina Torres is extremely talented and her shifter stories are getting more diverse and are simply amazing. They are the perfect combination of hot love stories and paranormal fantasy.

Devlin is a cop and a tiger shifter. He never dreamed he would find his fated mate just as someone was trying to kill her. Paige has had trauma before in her life. However, she is very intelligent and poised as she navigates the political world of her father. She never knew shifters existed until a tiger saves her from an attacker.
This was a fun story. There is plenty of hot moments, some danger and suspense, and finally a community coming together to triumph. I love how protective Devlin and Paige are of each other.
I love that their bond only strengthens over the course of the story. The HEA is sweet. I felt like I got to know some of the secondary characters who will feature in later books. That can be tough for an author to achieve in a shorter book, but this author easily manages it. I feel like this book does an excellent job setting up the series and I am excited to read more.

Was an okay story even though the female was the cliché representation of a virgin. Even though she apparently went through and dealt with some not so great stuff in her life she seemed to still be quite oblivious to things around her. The main story line felt lack luster. Many questions were brought up but unanswered in the end. The treatment of the female was also a bit archaic in nature by her mate. There is also the miss representation of love being lust. Since the majority of the time the couple were together was lust driven and little in outside of sex. If they weren't having sex they only thinking about it with the other person. That is lust. Was also a little confused in why our virgin till marriage was on birth control before hand, and even then it appears that our shifter male's sperm can control the female's hormonal balance and make if be able to get pregnant.
