The Mistress of Pemberley: An Erotic Pride & Prejudice Sequel

Rate this book
"Another home run for Delaney Jane!" "Keeps you wanting more!" "This book is downright evil." The newlywed Elizabeth Bennet knows little of the ways of married life. She's seen only the bickering nonsense of her parents, or the boring world of her dear friend, Charlotte, and her husband, Mr. Collins. Yet, when Fitzwilliam takes her to his bed, Elizabeth soon realizes her beloved Mr. Darcy is not entirely the gentleman she believed. He knows how to please her, taking her to new and unimagined heights. As her days descend into constant lusting for her husband's touch, she soon discovers new desires she'd never imagined, exploring every tawdry whim with her willing and wild husband. From Lady Carrington's decadent Springtime Ball, to the secret clubs of London's Aristocracy, follow this sordid tale of Elizabeth's journey of discovery and passion, and see just why they call her The Mistress of Pemberley. This novel is graphic and steamy. It bears repeating - GRAPHIC and STEAMY. Intense scenes of Menage, BDSM, Dominance and Submission, Voyeurism, and group scenes. If you don't want to watch Mr. Darcy take his wife on an adventurous of kink and discovery, then this is not the book for you! Several of the intimate scenes have been previously published as the short stories - Training Mrs. Darcy Discipline for Mrs. Darcy Punishment for Mrs. Darcy Teased by Mr. Darcy Touched by Mr. Darcy An Unlikely Quartet The Wanton Mr. Wickham Mr. Darcy's Secret Service

I will start by saying I only read 50% of the book because it is totally implausible. This book is as far from Jane Austin as you can possibly get. I didn't have a problem with it being one kinky sex scene after another even though they never would have happened between Lizzy and Darcy in Victorian England. I didn't even have a problem with Lizzy and Darcy not resembling the characters from Jane Austen's beloved novel.

I DID have a problem when all of a sudden Darcy was friendly with Wickham again. Then when Darcy set up a three some which included him, Lizzy and WICKHAM I had to stop reading.

This book is ludicrous and an insult to Jane Austin's memory. I'm not a prude but I would have to be insane to believe this book represents the future life of Lizzy and Darcy. In no way do the characters in this book even begin to resemble the characters that have been beloved for almost 200 years.

An erotic book is fine but DO NOT try to make money off of characters who are some of the best and beloved in literary history with trash that doesn't honestly reflect who they are.

I have to ask, did the author even read Pride and Prejudice? I highly doubt it.

***CW*** Gratuitous 18+ scenes, FMM scenes, FFMM scenes, BDSM elements.

Ahem... So. I really struggled with HOWA exactly to rate and review this. I could either review it from the "Pride and Prejudice" packaged perspective, or from an erotic historical romance perspective. I have chosen to go the erotic historical romance route. But I'm still going to explain my issues with the P&P vibe.

I love Pride and Prejudice, and I went into this with the expectation of the honeymoon period of Elizabeth and Darcy and Elizabeth's sexual awakening, as the majority of historical romance goes. However, the relationship to P&P, basically is just the characters names throughout the book. If you're expecting to see the OG Darcy and Elizabeth but with a lil sauce thrown on it, look away 'cause this ain't it.

But if you're looking for the filthiest historic romance you've ever laid eyes on, download immediately 😂

The book has pretty much zero plot, it is sex scene after sex scene. And I don't have complaints on that front, you know I vibe with smut, unashamedly. Darcy is portrayed as a filthy MF, Elizabeth is portrayed as a total horn dog with a one track mind 😂 But, there is consent. And I stan. A lot of romance blurs the lines of consent, and some just have no consent whatsoever, and that makes me really uncomfortable to the point where I DNF and call it out. For all that Darcy is full of filth, he's big on consent. And for that, I applaud 👏👏👏

Side note: On Kindle there is no discernable chapters on the progress bar, but chapters numbers are printed. A few misspellings missed in editing, but easy to look past, it's obvious what it's meant to say. E.G. 'dower' instead of 'dour'.

I'm all for sexy bedroom novels of my favorite Austen characters, but this (in my opinion) was not even close to what would probably have happened with Lizzy and Darcy, even if there was some kinky antics in the bedroom. Darcy's beyond a dom, doesn't explain anything to Lizzy - or if he does, it is after I stopped reading the novel because it was so bad I just couldn't continue. I got through their first sexy scene and called it quits.
SPOILERS BELOW

I did skip around to see what other things happened and was horrified to see Darcy, Lizzy, and WICKHAM having a three way! Really? Why the hell would Darcy allow that, especially since he lets Wickham have her vagina while Darcy takes her ass? (My thought process being you want to risk Lizzy getting pregnant with Wickham's child, cause it's not like he's using a condom!)

I found myself wishing these authors had left Jane Austen's characters alone. Sure, write a kinky erotic novel set in Victorian England, but make up your own characters.

This book is such a bad example of a bdsm relationship. I really wish people who wanted to write about these subcultures actually did some research. Parts of this book were so grossly unhealthy that I cringed. This kind of dynamic is what makes people look down their noses at the link community and perpetuates abusive relationships. I only finished it because so many people were saying how good it was. It wasn’t h til the epilogue that he even asked her if something he was doing to her was okay… not a fan.

This is the second book I have read by this author and the first book was so much better than this one. It was also a Pride & Prejudice variation but this book deals with the “after story” of Fitzwilliam and Elizabeth and their naughty desires. I read the entire book but a little over halfway through it I was bored. Also, there was a strange chapter that seemed out of place.

Spoilers ahead…

I love Darcy and Elizabeth’s love story… sooooo much! They are couple goals! And because I love to also imagine that they’d be just as passionate in the bedroom as they were in other settings, finding any story describing their after wedding love life is right up my alley!

This one definitely held promise and I can totally see Darcy as a sexy controlling lover. They definitely explore all sorts of pleasure… very steamy stuff.

BUT… the writer started to lose me when Darcy and Elizabeth talked about bringing in another male partner. I just can’t imagine seeing Darcy EVER being okay with another man touching her… no matter the sexual fantasy. Then, the ultimate betrayal was WHO Darcy brought in! None other than Mr. Wickham!!!

Nope… never ever. Darcy would cut off his own foot before he allowed that man within an arm’s reach of Elizabeth. Especially in that manner.

Okay, okay. It’s just a story, I get it. Some things I can look past… but THAT?? Absolutely not!! 😅😅😅

Ultra steamy Regency Romance novel with beloved characters from Pride and Prejudice with an erotic twist.
The book follows Elizabeth as an innocent newlywed virgin as her beloved Fitzwilliam teaches her about the pleasures of married life and of submitting to a dominant master and exploring different kinks with his.
It's sort of a juxtaposition since we are so used to the 'prim & proper'ness of the regency era... but that made this all the more enjoyable!

I am a fan of Fifty Shades so when I found this one on KU, I decided to give it a shot and I'm so glad I did! The author was not kidding when she said it is graphic and steamy! It is that and so much more! While there wasn't much development in the characters, the book actually didn't need it. I think the scenes made up for it in spades. Most of us know the P&P family so you're able to take those characters and spice them up to fit in this story. I could not put this down. Bravo to the author!

This is a fun, naughty take on the Pride and Prejudice story we all know and love. This book starts on the day Lizzie and Darcy are married and takes us into their early married life. We all knew Darcy had a dominant streak, right? This gives you a glimpse at just how that streak might have manifested itself. Enjoy!

I love Pride & Prejudice, so I knew I would love this book. I kept picturing Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy and Jennifer Ehle as Lizzy, and so on and so on, which made the book that much better. It was such a good visualization and I could very much see those characters doing the things in the book that they were doing. Great concept and it kept me wanting more.

Pure filth

I only read the first couple of pages and it was (as titled) pure filth.
I tried to speed past the book to get to the end,to leave a review, just glimpses of the pages looked as if was nearly nothing but sex. If that's what you like,I'm sure this will be for you.
I'd rather not have this subject forced upon me. I'll need to be extra careful when what I buy. I think this was free so money wasn't wasted.
I would have no given it a one star if I found have.

She never knew what would happen when she married as she only had her parents who fight all the time and her friend who says it is boring. When he finally takes her to his bed. Her eyes are opened side as she is taken to the heights of passion. See just how far they will push each other

Overwhelming

This is mainly erotica, as the title says. After a while, it was mind numbing, and ridiculous. I don't know where the story was except that the characters have the same names as the Price and Prejudice novel. There was just too much debauchery in the book for me. Over the top....

I was enjoying the book, and then - bam

I was really enjoying this book, getting into the groove and then it happened. I hate grammatical or spelling errors when we live in this age of spell check. DOWER is not used to describe an emotion. DOUR is correct. I can't finish this book for the fear of other spelling errors lurking about.

Solid premise that once Mr. and Mrs. Darcy head back to Pemberley, things get hot. While this had the preliminary feeling of a slightly AU fanfic, it felt a little like it was working too hard at times. Like, for all the sex that is happening on page, how is it so boring? Many readers seemed to enjoy this so I will chalk it up to personal preference.

Got and spicy

Truly magnificent dark and sensual Darcy. I loved how Darcy taught Elizabeth the different sexual sides. Some BSDM, but not too much in my thought. Excellent storyline and excellently written. Recommended to read

A peak into the HEA of Darcy and Lizzie...with darker, more intimate focus.

Love Pride and Prejudice so this was a fun/interesting read. I was not 100% in love with some of the character redemptions but they were written in a believable way thay I didn't mind them.

Can't wait to read more!

Pride and Prejudice meets 50 shades of Grey. Pretty shattering for those of us who hold Mr Darcy as the standard for gentlemanly romance.
