Wow is not enough of a word for this book, it has many amazing twists and turns and also very powerful storyline and scarily very possible in today's climate, which makes the book as a whole all the more amazing.

As always I will not give spoilers however I will say that this is a very powerful story line and that love can heal. This book has everything from humour to hear ache, action to relaxing.

This is by no means for the fainthearted or those who adore cute puppy love while adorable and I love those too, but if you like those above all this may be a bit much for you. Read the synopsis if you're up for it youl love it

I absolutely loved this book very much and am OK with darker reads I'm classing it as a little dark because Ive read darker, but it was definitely enough as you definitely get pulled in, your rooting for our poor hero and his heroine and they are both amazing in their own right. There is perfect balance of all in this book.

Thank you so much Nicole for the honour of reading this awesome book.

What a fantastic love story! Separately marines and green berets right for the freedom of peace for everyone everywhere. Nicole has written about a terrible group who seek to overcome military service personnel in ways that break and female their very bodies and souls to the point that the captured, tortured, broken, mentally unstable and chemically treated military personnel are experimented on! The bad guys all seem to die but do they? The saved prisoners feel something is off. They leave the area back to those who are still trying to live. The military feel confident they won but they get home and learn new things are just getting started and worse from what they learned from Nathaniel Strongarm when he was chemically induced and unaware of even his wife to be, her name, or even his own name of life before his capture! At the end of this book someone calls while Nathaniel sleeps one day, his fiance gets the phone..... On the island he was told bring people his boss wanted to him or if they would not come to kill them. He liked to kill a lot! She assumed the same the thing for him from the voice on the phone. Would they run? Find a quiet woods get away? I would! They aren't me! Good luck Nicole! Have fun in this love story that looks like a series! Wow! These military personnel are going to want help! I can't wait for the next story! I like the strength of love 💘 you put in both of these people!

Nathaniel Strongarm is a marine and is engaged to green beret Shauna West when they have to put their lives on hold while he goes to a remote island to tackle the Hidden Serpents who are a terrorist group. The operation is a bit of a disaster and Nathaniel is captured. When an operation to rescue the prisoners is mounted Shauna is part of the team due to her speciality. When they get there it appears there is someone killing civilians and even worse it is Nathaniel who has been brainwashed. Can Shauna rescue him and any other captured marines?

This is full of drama with many twists and turns as the action intensifies. It covered all the thoughts and emotions being experienced by both Nathaniel and Shauna and I felt as if I was there experiencing them. I loved the brainwashing side of things and how that was done and it definitely added to the mystery.

I really enjoyed this story. It's hard to put it into a category because it could be a romance, it could be a military novel, it could be a thriller..... It's impossible to classify it as being one type of novel. It's fast paced, well written, well researched. The characters are complex, many have their flaws too which adds to the realism. The world Zoltack has created is believable, and scary too, biological terrorism is explored. My only doubt remains the psychological deprogamming of Nathaniel which appears simplistic to me, but it remains a really good read.

Good story. Nathaniel and Shauna are fantastic characters The story even includes a bit of humor in the middle of war to break the tension.

I was provided this book as an ARC by the author; however, the review is my honest opinion.
