Cary Hart hails from the Midwest. A sassy, coffee drinking, sometimes sailor swearing, Spotify addict, lover of all things books!
When not pushing women down the stairs in the fictional world, Cary has her hands full. Soccer mom in all sense of the word to two wild and crazy, spoiled kiddos, and wife to the most supportive husband. In addition to writing full time, she enjoys binge watching Netflix, laying around in her hammock and baking up cookies for her family and friends.
Cary writes real, raw romance! In her stories the characters deal with life's everyday struggles and unwanted drama, they talk about the ugly and they become the broken. Everyone deserves a happy ending, but sometimes before you can appreciate the light, there has to be darkness.
Growing up, if someone would have told her she would become a writer, she wouldn't have believed them. It wasn't until she got her hands on her first romance novel, that the passion grew. Now she couldn't imagine her life any other way - she's living her dream.
Love Conquer is an emotional friends to lovers romance about two people who find the Strength to overcome their pasts. Kyle and Nina are both so strong and good I couldn't help but cheer them on and celebrate their HEA.
The glimpses of Nikki and Gavin were so much fun! They really added a lightness to Love Conquer and helped round out the story. Finding out they have their own story in Love Divide has me wanting to dive in immediately. Anyone who enjoys an emotional romance about two damaged souls healing and finding their much deserved happiness will enjoy falling into love conquer.
Love Conquer is an outstanding inspired, slow-burn romance filled with heartache, passion, and raw intensity.
Kyle and Nina's addictive story pulls you in right from the first page and will keep you invested until the last. Hart's words are beautiful and emotionally gripping. I felt every emotion the characters went through.
Nina's pain and the often difficult subject matter tackled in Love Conquer was handled with care and illustrated exceptionally well by the author right from the beginning.
Just finished this book.... All I can say is holy cow.....what an amazing book. I have a connection to this book that I can't explain. This is not only a love story but a healing story. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a little healing and love in their life.. Or just someone who needs to understand how to help someone going thru a struggle in life.
I am still trying to collect my feelings about this story. I can say that it is raw, beautiful, moving, impactful, and deals with weighty topics. There are content warnings for grief, domestic violence, and abuse throughout the journey of Nina and Kyle. I think you should read their journey with only that information to experience all that Kyle and Nina experience.

I received this book as an Arc to read voluntarily and leave an honest review. I think this Author Cary Hart did a nice job writing this story. Contains sensitive topics around abuse and it's so common in the real life. This book is learning how to heal and to try and open your heart again for love. Can two people help each other when each are trying to overcome their pasts or will they let it define them. Will Love Conquer. My first book I read and now I'm ready to go back and read the first two. So without giving away too much I'll just stop with this. Once I started reading I had a hard time stopping. Can people find ways to trust again, to open up, to find themselves, to give love a chance. I would recommend this book. I also feel like I've missed saying something but I don't like leaving spoilers. Thank you.
5 favorite stars!! I love this series but this book blew me away!!
This is book 3 in “The Battlefield Of Love” series. It can be read as a stand alone but there was a lot of relationships that I feel you need from the other two books.
❤️ This is Nina and Kyle’s love story...
Nina~ Yes I am running from my past. I just want my freedom. So who better to run to them my sister, Niki. I am jealous of the love her and Gavin have but I’m not looking for love just trying to find myself. But I can look can’t I?!?! Mr Tall Guy is great for that!!
Kyle~ aka Mr Tall Guy. My heart has been broken and I’m not sure I will ever be ok. Sure I have one night stands to try and get it out of my head but this girl at the coffee shop...she catches my attention. Too bad her sister is crazy as hell Niki and I really like my balls intact...
“Sometimes to conquer love, you have to battle your past. Nina, go to war. Fight the battle and win.”
💭My thoughts...
This book went straight to the favorites list. I KNEW Nina would have one hell of a story!! I relate to her quite a bit and I think she is one strong as woman and unlike other books I have read, where a woman has a similar background, she didn’t let her past own her. I’m so proud of her. And damn isn’t Kyle just all that and a bag of chips. He is pure perfection. Him and his hard hat. Really this whole series is full of great guys but I love Kyle!!! His past hurt my heart as well. He got burned real good. These two broken people formed one hell of a beautiful relationship.
My laugh out loud moment from this book was Niki was waiting at the house with apron, welding mask and butcher knife. LMFAO!! That was awesome. I really dig Niki in this role. And Kyles parents are too damn cute. My heart cried for him when he was at the tire swing.
This book is full of love, patience, trust, hope, second chances, yumminess, pain, haunted pasts, loss, secrets, friendships and sooo much more. This is a MUST read!!!
**I received this book as an ARC and in return gave my honest review**
This story gave me so many emotions from sad, to laughing, to crying, to yelling at my kindle. I absolutely LOVED it and it is very close to my heart. I could sympathize with Nina and I could feel her pain and her hurt and her indecisiveness.
The words "I'm Sorry" don't mean shiz unless you truly mean them. They can't be said everytime you have an argument or disagreement. They just don't mean a thing if they are said over and over again and the person who is saying them doesn't try to change their ways or actions.
Words can hurt yes but they can even kill a person causing them to want to end their life over the words that are being said to them. People don't realize what words do to you. People say sticks and stones may break my bones by names will never hurt me and that is so not true! Words hurt they hurt like hell.
This is a story about Nina and Kyle and their love and their healing. I can't say more because it will ruin it for the reader but out of all the three books this one really gutted me because it felt like I was reading my life.
WOW!!!!! Each time I read a book of Cary's, I become more amazed by her ability to write such wonderful stories. The struggles that Nina and Kyle had to overcome was very close to home for me. Niki, who is Nina's sister had me laughing so hard I was in tears. Cary brings reality to her books and that is what I love the most when reading any of her books. This book is a must read, believe me, you will not be disappointed. Thank you Cary for another awesome book, and yes you do ROCK!!!!
Beautifully written. I don’t even have words to describe how fantastic this book was. From the very beginning you know Nina is a broken woman. She escapes from an abusive relationship and runs in the middle of the night to her sister. While trying to feel normal she meets Kyle, who also has a past that he can’t move on from. Two broken people that find each other and heal each other. I loved how even though Nina has the past that she does she never really is afraid of Kyle. She seems to instinctively know that he is a good guy. I have enjoyed all three books in this series but WOW this book blew me away. My favorite yet. Definitely a book I will recommend.
I was given this book as an ARC. Love Conquer follows Nina, who has just escaped to her sister from an abusive boyfriend and Kyle. Kyle was married to his childhood best friend only for her to sleep with and ultimately marry his step brother. Both Nina and Kyle are broken and damaged in different ways. This story follows them as they learn to open up again and to trust. Contains sensitive topics around abuse. A good read
Ah! The best one so far. A deep, emotional, touching romance that still retains the classic humour and fast-paced style we have come to know and love Cary Hart for. I really loved this book, and this series, and can't wait to read more from this author.
This book! It was filled with feels and I loved the dynamic between the two main characters, Nina and Kyle. Nina was strong throughout the book and definitely someone to admire. Kyle was swoon worthy to the max, but Gavin is still my favorite. I think Kyle comes in at a solid 2nd place. Hand hugs will never be the same. Chivalry isn’t dead. Quick read (for me), I couldn’t put it down and overall enjoyed it. Definitely recommend this series.
This is a complete standalone but it’s also the 3rd book In the series! Nina is Nikki’s sister and she is escaping a domestic relationship so she lays low at her sisters but she also runs Into a guy named Kyle. Both think they are broken can they heal together. Wow another amazing story by Cary hart! Can’t wait to see what she has next!
What a beautiful story! This is my first Cary Hart book and although it is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone novel.
Two tales of broken pasts, Kyle and Nina both struggle to find their peace and to move forward while slowly finding their way towards each others lives and hearts. I am a slow reader, but somehow, I sucked down this story in less than 24 hours.
Kyle is an absolute favorite of mine. I admire his gentleness and kindness, and he was definitely perfect for our dear Nina, who was just recovering from an emotionally and physically abusive relationship. The characters easily wormed their way to my heart and I savored each pain, each blow, each little triumph, because the story will make you FEEL Kyle and Nina's journey to love and healing.
This was my first to read from this author. The book is written in Nina and Kyle's alternating POV. I was instantly hooked to the storyline and writing but sadly it fell short after the first few chapters. The book is meant to be a standalone but there were a few side characters that had major involvement and I felt I was missing a lot of their story. Kyle was sweet and I understand why he was the way he was, but his demeanor was almost too soft. There was an intense scene towards the end of the book but felt it was rushed with a lot packed in to a small bit. I would be willing to try another book from this author, this one just wasn't for me.
Nina has spent the last several years living a nightmare, and finally gets the courage up to leave. She ends up at her sister's house to start a new life, but it's slow going as she's been beaten down & has little self worth. As she starts to rebuild a life, she meets Kyle, another tortured soul, but her fears are still at the forefront of her mind, and he has a past that he hasn't quite come to grips with. Can these two broken people heal, and build a relationship? Love Conquer was a great story that had all the emotional feels with it's realism. The talented Cary Hart wrote a realistic portrayal of a woman who left a very abusive situation behind, so it wasn't overnight that Nina got over everything. In fact, some of the triggers came when she thought she was moving on, because like in real life, the fear isn't gone overnight. And Kyle, the man who suffered a great blow in his past relationship, he didn't deal with the aftermath all the way, so he would have big moments of anger. But together, I was cheering for Nina & Kyle, as they deserved a good life after the things that had happened to them. And the colorful cast of secondaries in the guise of her sister & friends, added a huge humor factor that I needed for a break, not to mention more depth. With a few huge twists that had my f-bombs dropping, it was the perfect story in my opinion. CANNOT WAIT to read more by this amazing author, and HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
3.5 STARS!!!! This is the first book I've read from this author and the first book I've read in this series. I would say that this book can be read as a standalone because I didn't feel like I missed out on much by not reading the previous books. However, I have to be honest and say that the only part that I wanted to know more of was what happened between Nikki and Aiden, but it touches the topic lightly. This story focuses mainly on Nikki's sister Nina, her ex-Brandon and Kyle. The beginning of the story was interesting but I can't honestly say that I was drawn into the story until about the middle of it. I definitely loved Kyle in this story and Nikki and Gavin. I think the thing that stopped this from being a great read for me was Nina. Yes, I can understand why her character held back a little after what she went through, if she trust Kyle enough to be in his bed, I wanted her to trust him enough to let him in her heart. She said the words but I just didn't feel it. It was completely undeniable when it came to Kyle. He wore his heart on his sleeve and showed it. I wanted to feel the same thing from her and I didn't. However, with that being said it was still a good story. Some parts were a bit predictable but there were a few surprises also, either way it is a story worth reading.
CARY GIVES YOU THE FEELS in all of her books and this one is no different.
The characters in the Battlefield series are all amazing, but, for me, Nina and Kyle really hit the nail on the head. While I don't think I fully connected to Nina, I could not get enough of Kyle. He wanted Nina in a way that every woman longs to be wanted. If he was upset, I was upset. If he was nervous, I was nervous. And that is Cary's gift. Her characters interact in a way that you will need a tissue box or to laugh your ass off. By the end you squeeze the book and think "I love, love!". Or maybe I'm the only one that cradles my books like babies, but whatever.
Read the other books even with this being a stand alone because you get such a better feel for Niki. Niki is a star any which way you look at it. So, it's great because you not only get to watch Kyle and Nina in this story, but readers get more Niki and her relationship with Nina.
I don't want to say much more than that because it's no fun if you give it all away, but if you are interested in an emotional roller coaster ride, then, all three books are for you! I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know these characters and the world that Cary created.
I don't know where to start. Of course I don't do spoilers so this will be fun. This book is amazing and not only because of the story it tells and the characters it has it is the feels. We all know there are plenty of books out there that fall flat splat in the delivery. If you walk away from this story and feel nothing that in itself will be the miracle. Nina is finally free and experiencing happiness she had forgotten existed. Niki is a freaking beast and I absolutely adore her as a big sister (ha a spoiler). But there's something special about a man that's not afraid to be a softie and that's her man. There's also something wonderful about a man that due to his past thinks safety first in all things, especially her and that's Kyle.
This author gives us characters that touch our heart and makes us hurt for them. She writes about real life and real life's messes, we all have had them so we understand which makes it more. I love this author and have completely loved watching her find her voice. I plan on staying around enjoying amazing reads and reaping the benefits for a long time to come. Another Amazing Read.
Trust That Love Will Conquer! Love Conquer is about courage, forgiving yourself, trust, self discovery, friendship and love. This is my first time reading a book by Cary Hart and all I can think is I want to experience more. She builds characters that are full of layers and texture. Kyle and Nina's stories are tragic and emotional. Yet, when they meet a spark of hope ignites and a friendship fans the flames. Their love story stirs the reader's soul with hope, sweetness, bravery, empathy, and passion. All the feels! Kyle is swoony, loyal, protective, and passionate. I fell for him almost instantly. Nina is battered, brave, and insecure. I wanted to encourage and embrace her right away. However, she is battling her way to confident and independent and it is empowering. I love her fight and her resilience. Both Kyle and Nina have demons to slay. Their budding friendship gives them the safety to confront those demons individually and as a couple. This love story is powerful and restorative. Love Conquer will invade your senses and capture your heart!
I love this series so much. I am not one to write spoilers but let me just say that this book was my favorite so far in this series. I truly loved book one and two and really did not think anything could top them. Well Cary proved me wrong. Love Conquer is an emotional roller coaster ride you won’t want to miss. Niki will crack you up with her antics and her protectiveness of Nina. Not to mention her love of coffee. Which I totally understand. Nina will take your emotions all over the place. The abuse Nina endured will break your heart but her strength is so amazing. I love Kyle. Kyle is dealing with his own demons but Nina and Kyle complement each other so well. I could go on and on about this book however I am not going to spoil it for other reader. Do yourself a favor and read this amazing book, you won’t be disappointed I promise. Thanks to Cary for sharing her amazing talent with all of us who love to read.❤️
From the first word, Love Conquer had me hooked & captivated! The pain & abuse Nina suffered was unreal. The betrayal Kyle had to face from within his own family & then be expected to just deal. To have the person you love & trust above all others turn on you & steal your sense of worth, your sense of life & leave you broken. It's a heartbreaking story but it also became a heartwarming story. The courage that it took for Nina & Kyle to overcome their damaged self worth & open up to each other, trust each other. When their collective pasts rear its head, can they recover again?
Cary Hart can express so much emotion & feeling with the written word. The reader feels like they are in the room with the characters. The interactions have a ring of truth to them. You have to keep reading because there isn't a good spot to stop. The feelings of love, pain, guilt & betrayal come through in every word, every action. The title to the series says it perfectly. "Love is a Battlefield"
This is my first book by Cary Hart. Even though this is the 3rd book in the series it CAN be read as a STANDALONE, however I would recommend reading the others in the series to get a better understanding of the other characters. I want to go back and read Drew's story. This book is Nina and Kyle's story. Both have some very deep issues to over come. Together they help each other with Nina's both verbal and physical abuse and Kyle's betrayal from his past. With each other they find that their love they can conquer anything. I enjoyed the book, but I gave it 3 1/2 stars because I think because of what happened to Nina it was a little to fast for her to jump in and trust Kyle. I also think there should have been a little more insite to Kyle's past. Also with Nina's ex-boyfriend Brandon I feel it was a little to rushed at the end of the book. But all in all it was a good book and I will continue reading Ms. Hart's books.
Book 3 in Battlefield of Love— Amazing book to say the least ladies! I love this series by Cary Hart. Each is just as amazing. You will laugh, feel you heart tug..that’s what Ms. Hart did in this series for me..
Nina is broken and her sister helps her all the way. That’s what families do. When she meets Kyle something changes within her. She learns to trust, but the old demons come back to hunt her. Her ex did a number on her. It’s hard at first. She’s a fighter even if she doesn’t think so.
Kyle has a strong pull towards Nina. Even he fights his own battles. No clue what Nina went through, but knows from her sister Niki to be cautious. He will be, because he doesn’t want to lose her.
I just loved Kyle and Nina. Together they worked on healing each other. Can love conquer all? Just wait and see. It was emotional to say the least.
I have followed this whole series from book 1. I've loved all the characters! Niki and the girls mostly, but I have to say Nina holds a special place in my heart. Book 3 follows Niki's sister Nina and her story. After leaving an unhealthy relationship and connecting with her sister again, Nina comes to find herself again. Meeting Kyle along the way helps. He's a gentleman and shows Nina how a woman should be treated and loved all over again. Now I am being general in my description of this book because who wants to be told a story instead of reading? But I will say I absolutely loved this book and recommend it highly. I will also warn there are some trigger moments that might not work for other people but if you can see past them and get to HEA then you want to read this book.
What a great read!!! I had a hard time putting this book down, it kept me pulled in wanting to know what was going to happen next! Nina and Kyle's story of overcoming being broken is a promising story and one that I know can be attained in real life (even though real life might not be quite as adventurous). I found it easy to relate to the characters feelings throughout their journey of healing and the setbacks they faced. I highly recommend you read this book and see how they find their happy ending!
If you haven't read the first two books in the series, I suggest you read those as well. I love how the books have the characters intertwined but each book focuses on the lives of each couple. Great writing Cary Hart!! Can't wait to read more, they just keep getting better and better!
I would venture to say that this book really rocked it for me! I think everyone needs a man like Kyle in their life. He was so right for Nina. He is a true gentleman, a hopeless romantic and yet still so hot and sexy. A hand hug, who knew something so simple could hold so much more meaning. I have loved this series from the start but I think Kyle has reached the top. Nina's backstory brought tears to my eyes. It reminds us all to see both sides of the story and not to let appearance deceive you. We can all hold things deep down inside that can literally destroy us. This story was both gut wrenching and heartwarming at the same time. Thank you Cary Hart for bringing this story to life for us all.

Love Conquer is the third book in the Battlefield of Love series and I think the most emotionally captivating of the series. This book is so raw of emotion, you can feel the angst and heartache that Nina feels, she has no self-esteem left after her abusive relationship. She is broken, she isn’t thinking of a relationship when she meets Kyle, who also has his own issues. Kyle is damaged from his past he can’t move on from. Together these two learn to trust again. Cary Hart did a brilliant job in writing this book and creating such an emotional story that drew me in from the very beginning. I cannot wait to see what comes next.
