GRACIE GOODWIN We broke up… For a good reason too.
So why did I fall into Peter Roman’s arms so easily?
OK, it might have something to do with the fact that he’s smoking hot and plays for the NFL now.
But there’s something I haven’t told Peter — something that could change the way he looks at me forever.
PETER ROMAN
I want Gracie back. I don’t care what I have to do to keep her.
I’m not the a##hole I was in college.
I’m different and I have the bank account to match.
No matter what, I’m going to make her mine.
This time, we’ll last forever.

I am a fan of Jamila Jasper and this book did not disappoint. Once I read the opening scene I knew this book would be a good read. I actually read it in one sitting.
I wouldn't classify this book as an NFL romance because there wasn't much football in this book. There are just mentions here in there of Peter going to practice or of Gracie watching the game. Peter and Gracie were former College sweethearts who reconnected after 10 years. They were clearly meant to be because they kept being drawn to each other
I didn't understand why Grace's mother kept her son away from her why she acted like Gracie was still a child. I also did not understand Demaecus' obsession with hurting Gracie or bringing baby daddy Andre in at the end. Otherwise I enjoyed this book. I need a Peter in my life. 😍
This book was intense. Peter and Gracie acknowledged their pasts in order to move forward. Gracie has been through so much but managed to survive. There's a lot cray-cray in this book and not from those you would normally expect.
Peter and Gracie were two people who never gave up on love after a decade and misunderstandings. Circumstances concerning her son really threw me off. Good book that you won't be able to put down until finished!
Peter had the patience of a saint. Gracie was SO annoying, I would have left again & stayed gone this time. She was to whiny for me. Overall, a good book.
STOP Blaming the Victim! This is the story of Peter and Gracie, second chances, the serious life consequences for women who feel powerless, rape, children born of rape, and how it is very easy to blame the victims because no one wants to see themselves, under any circumstances, in their faces! I have read a few of the comments about this book and have to say I was really surprised that it's harshest critics were women who had no tolerance for women as victims, or women who were weak because of their circumstances and experiences in life. It is impractical to expect someone who has spent a lifetime being pushed around and stepped on to, one day suddenly know how to pick themselves up and champion their rights. Jamilla Jasper brings awareness to the subject in this novel, and yeah, it's a little rough around the edges and had a few too many gratuitous sex scenes, but all in all, she portrayed the women I know who have been through the horror of rape with frightening accuracy. I hope that for those readers who were less than kind in their assessment of the value of this novel that they themselves, and none of their loved ones ever have to go through anything horrific in their lives. These experiences are earth shattering and forever alter the person attacked, something it seems unlikely those intolerant critics would be able to forgive because a victim makes those around them too uncomfortable to find any compassion and/or support.

Peter and Gracie were too young and inexperienced the first time around. Evil punched Gracie hard but thanks to her mother and friend she fought her way back. Ten years later became the right time for them. They had to battle trust issues and the resurrection of evil. Love was never the issue, trust and knowing who you are is the key. Great story with questionable word choices and editing errors. A great story with errors that did affect the rating.
Even though this is labeled a sports romance it was super light on the sports. The dynamic of Gracie's and her mom relationship for her to be a woman in her 30's was a bit of her still being spoken to and treated like a child, even when it came to Gracie's own child. And the issue with Demarcus targeting Gracie made no sense to me and even less to bring the rapist baby daddy into play. Overall, an ok read.
I loved Peter and Gracie's story. I hated what happened to her though and the way her mom kept her son away from her. I also hated how Demarcus made it his mission to terrorize Gracie. I was so glad she was able to get her man, her son, and have the happily ever after she deserved. An amazing read by this author. I always look forward to reading her new books and this one did not disappoint. I voluntarily read this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
The sex is amazing in this book. Gracie and Peters are a cute couple whose had lives since they've been apart. I couldn't keep up with the numbers of conflicts that appeared within this book. Considering the length of this book the amount of aggressors and issues was out of control.. Way to much to keep track of.

An enjoyable second chance page turner! The story line is fast pace, engaging, relatable, well written, and deals with past trauma and pain. There is drama, lots of steam, and emotional ups and downs. The characters you will like getting to know; the chemistry between them is undeniable! Definitely recommended!

This is a story about love, second chances from first loves ,overcoming terrible things that changed your life .And finding that one person who had always believed in you and loved you even if they went about it the wrong way and giving them a chance to love you. For Gracie and Peter a lot stood in their way .

Peter Roman, quarterback for the New York Giants, and Gracie Goodman have history. He’s determined to win her back and she’s keeping a secret she doesn’t know how to tell him about. She’s very reluctant to just take him back, yet the sex they share is like a burning inferno each b time they meet! When danger assails her and threatens her life, Peter’s love proves worth having!🦋
Not one of the best by this author. Portions of this story just didn't make sense, the whole Demarco/Gracie thing, just didn't get it. Also the sex wasn't that great, the whole book just felt rushed which is too bad cause I really like the stories Jamila comes up with. Hoping for a stunner next time.
This is again another worst book ever read: Although the idea was good, so it should have made a great and perfect story, but because of all of the faults, the grammatical mistakes, the plot being completely scrambled and confusing, this book is in dire need of help....I can't unfortunately recommend it
I take me a minute (i had to go back and read it again) before I got into story. But once i did I enjoyed Gracie and Peter back story. I liked how Peter grow from an immature boy into man. Sometimes we have to let people go, in order for them to grow.

Jamila Jasper writes incredibly HOT sexy scenes!!! The plot did not keep me engaged. But, I am definitely keeping this book around to reread the sexy scenes when I am looking for something that sets my Kindle's pages on fire!

They were lovers back in college. But he was a rising star on the field and off the field. They parted ways and she took something with her. All the years later she has a daily reminder of their passion and he never felt the same with anybody else. He is back with one thing on his mind.

This was an interesting read for me. The storyline had lots of drama and some intense moments that had me glued to the story. The main characters had their own personal demons to curtail and came together for a second chance at redemption.

I have to say, Extra Stuffing is a VERY enjoyable read. This one of those books that brings the Holiday season in.
I am so looking forward to seeing more from Jamila Jasper.

It was a little slow in parts, but I liked the story. I wish we could have had more of Andre as he was mentioned being with Demarcus. I loved Peter and Sharon reminded me of my own mother. A strong black woman, you did NOT mess with. Sharon has her flaws though. Liked the ending.
There can be second chances and I was so intrigued with this ebook. It can be realistic and to the point where two people can meet again to rekindle what they had lost. Overall good to read!
