This wasn't a bad read. I wanted to like it more but Reesa was difficult to like at times. I was trying to be understanding. She went through some terrible stuff. However, the way she would act towards Marc at times was sad. She didn't trust him even though he never once gave her a reason not to. Thankfully they got their stuff worked out in the end. Which made me happy.

Well, I’m in love with Marcus Winters. He’s one of those amazingly awesome men that needs to teach classes to other guys on how to treat women with genuine respect. Wow. It’s a shame men like him are such unicorns. *sigh*

Theresa (Reesa) Brighton’s history with men is not something she wants to think about…or repeat. So she’s definitely not interested in People Magazine’s sexiest bachelor of the year. No thanks. His reputation as a player on and off the field precedes him, making him a person of no-interest to her. But Marc’s softly persistent way encourages her to take a chance on a simple walk and a cup of coffee. He shows himself to be a complete gentleman, but she remains untrusting—her heart is simply too scarred by her past.

Although this is a short novella, the author does a good job of giving Reesa and Marc enough depth that their actions and motives are believable. They’re a beautiful couple with great heat, but she’s got a lot of history to overcome. Good thing Marc is as patient as he is persistent. His wooing of Reesa is absolutely beautiful.

Readers will find steamy love scenes with a minimal amount of adult language, making this a novel you can share with your co-workers. This is a wonderfully rich story about overcoming the past, learning to trust again, and being a person of integrity worthy of a person’s unfailing faith and trust.

i read this book as part of an arc program. In this book, Reesa is a single woman who really doesn't date after getting out of a bad marriage. When Reesa and her best friend were out at a bar one night, Reesa was watching the sports news about Marcus Winters donating money to charity and she commented on it. When she heard a voice behind her asking how much he should have donated, she was shocked to see him standing there. Marc started talking to Reesa and asked her to take a walk with him to get to know him. Reesa agreed and they spent the evening talking. When Marc asked for her number, she told him she didn't really think he would call her, but he did. Marc wanted to date Reesa, but she kept trying to avoid it. When she finally agreed, Marc took her to one of his games. Marc was serious about dating Reesa but she thought he would get bored and move on. When Marc continued to be there, Reesa was secretly thrilled, but she was scared when their relationship went public and Marc learned of her past. I liked this story. I liked that Marc was patient with Reesa and he knew he wanted to be with her. Reesa wanted to be with Marc, but she was hurt in the past and was scared. I think Marc and Reesa had a great connection and i think they both really wanted it to work. Good one.

REVIEW: This novella is tied for my second favorite by Romi Hart. The trials and tribulations that Reesa and Marc endure to figure out how they will work together in combining his public life and all the bad press that can come with that and her non-public life. She has her own issues to figure out, and falling for Marc wasn’t one of them, but she does. Question that remains until the end, can she get past all her fears and the negative press and allow herself to fall in love with Marc?

Romi Hart’s Temptation: A Bad Boy Sports Romance is a winderful sexy fun story. Gun shy Reesa is a damaged soul and understandably wary of men. After their “meet cute” in a bar (where he overhears the criticism of him as a feelingless man-slot), Marcus becomes determined to prove her wrong about him and to break her free of her fears. How they get there at the end is the stuff dreams - a marvelous romantic tale. Who even knew to expect that in a bad Zboy sports romance? The best thing though is that this is book 1 of a new series, Out of Bounds Book, which means there’s more yumminess to look forward to. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises - the book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.

Sweet soccer hottie lays it all on the line

Temptation by Romi Hart is a a straight up sweet romance with heat, chemistry and heart. Marcus is the superstar soccer player who's reputation is inaccurate, but Theresa (Reesa) doesn't know that until she finally allows herself to get to know Marc the man, rather than Marcus the sports superstar. Reesa has her reasons for being wary and Marc charms his way through to her heart.
Both characters are very real, with real life problems. They fight, yet work through them without the breakup. They love (sometimes reluctantly, warily) and love each other with everything they have, drawing strength from each other.
Overall a well written single POV story that has some minor drama that is quickly worked through. I appreciated the quick resolution to understanding and moving on to Marc and Reesa's HEA!

ONE EXPLOSIVE READ!!!
Wow! This is one fast paced, action packed, wild ride of emotions with all the drama that entails. Romi has raised the bar and she's taking no prisoners. I was lost in the first paragraph and didn't surface until the last word in this page turning. dynamo. The characters are complex, realistic and believable. Their personalities are vast and varied with qualities and traits that balance out perfectly. The scenes are so graphic and descriptive it paints a fantastic backdrop that really makes the storyline pop. The twists and turns abound with suspense and danger that kept me immersed and on edge with all the unpredictable endings as the tale unfolds. Romi did an incredible job bringing this read to life flawlessly. Fantastic job Romi, thanks for sharing this awesome read with us.

I voluntarily read this arc from Bookfunnel to give an honest review. Reesa met Marc the handsome soccer player as she sat st the sports bar watching his interview on the tv. He had noticed her and thinking she was beautiful, he approached her hearing her rebuke his answer of a donation he’d made to a charity. He said he would give more if she gave him her name. They went for a walk and before they parted he asked for her phone number. She told him she didn’t believe he would call her. She also said she knew that he was a player and not on the soccer field. He’s going to prove her wrong. They date and after a while he learns why she has no faith in men. Soon she will have to have faith in him when a news reporter confronts her with questions about her man.

A wonderfully well written short fast paced sports romance. Its steamy, full of action, danger, suspense, twists and turns that kept me addicted and on the edge of my seat. Reesa has has a horrible past from her ex-husband with drama and abuse so she has lots of trust issues. Marcus is a professional Soccer player and has a horrible rep but is determined to show Reesa its wrong. Everything seems well till an away game. The press causes things to fall apart as he has accusations thrown at him, they hit her to close to her past. It's an emotional ride while he tries to convince her its wrong, keeping me immersed as the tale unfolds to an unpredictable ending. I voluntarily reviewed this standalone ARC

I purchased this book in Jan 2018 and have just got around to reading it and I'm sorry I waited so long. “Temptation” is an excellent story that grabbed my attention from the beginning. Romi Hart has written a sexy love story with plenty of romance, hot sex, drama and twists. Marcus is a professional soccer player with the reputation as a player. Reesa has trust issues and is reluctant to enter a relationship because of her ex-husband's past abuse. When Marcus and Reesa meet there is an instant, off-the-charts chemistry. How they overcome the seemingly insurmountable problems will captivate you till the end. The superb writing and complex characters make this emotional story a pleasure to read. “Temptation” is worth every minute of your time. A must read.

Marcus is a professional soccer player and a known playboy. Reesa and her friend are talking about Marcus and his reputation when he overhears them. Wanting to show Reesa that he isn't the man the press has painted him to be. Reesa is wary because she's been hurt in the past. Things seem to be going well between them and then Marcus has an away game and things fall apart between them. Can Reesa see the real man and trust him that he didn't do what the press is saying? Will Marcus give up on Reesa because of her mistrust?


This is a great story once I started it Icouldn't put it down. The chemistry between Marcus and Reesa is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommedn this book to any book lover.

This is the first book that I have had the enjoyment to read by Romi. She has gained a fan. I absolutely loved this fast paced suspenseful little love story. All about the sports um no. This was about a player who falls instantly for a girl. A girl that fights her feelings because of her past. I absolutely loved this storyline. There was amazing depth to this story. It really gripped you in and had you holding on to see what was going to happen next. Especially during one part where you really wanted to believe that nothing happened but you really were not sure. Romi has gained a fan with this well written book with amazing character chemistry. I cant wait to read more from her.

I found the female annoying at times

I knew how guarded and wary she was because of her past. Completely understandable. However, some of her actions were uncalled for. I almost stopped reading the book when she flipped out over his interactions with his fans. Up until that point, the poor guy had done nothing or said anything to give her the impression that he was a jerk or unfaithful. Then, when it all went down, she wasn't going to give him the benefit of the doubt or hear him out! Thankfully, her friend is smarter and talked some sense into her.
Her character just really threw me off the story.

First of all, the tone of the blurb and how Marc comes across in the book are quite disparate. As well, the blurb is from his POV-- the book is exclusively told from Reesa's. Marc is not as cocky as male protagonists in a lot of other sports romances. He is very patient
and understanding with Reesa, almost to the point of saintliness. As for Reesa -- I wanted to warm up to her and empathize with her as the story went on. Unfortunately, I disliked her from the beginning and disliked her at the end. This is too bad, because I thought the overall writing was good.

Potential but fell flat for me...2.5

Considering Theresa Brighton’s past history with men, I can understand her snide remarks and wary behavior towards Marcus Winters. He comes off as a nice enough guy and wants to prove it to Reesa but the whole plot seemed too forced. Marc tries to convince Reesa the media paints him as a womanizer but it’s inaccurate.

When a press story breaks out with a huge scandal, she doesn’t give the benefit of the doubt, believing he betrayed her and was unfaithful. Thank goodness Kylie, her best friend talks some sense into her. I didn’t like Reesa and couldn’t warm up to her. The story and stilted dialogue felt flat for me.

Now this was a fun loving bad boy romance to the core. In this one we see what the effects of living the sports star lifestyle is like and what happens when love becomes induced.  We have Reesa and Marcus, two people who want thr HEA but find it hard to get it. She has a brutal pass that makes it hard for her to trust and he is this playboy by tv standards. But in the end it all becomes everything that they both have been waiting for. I absolutely loved this book and can't wait to read more. I give it 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader's Copy.

I enjoyed this sports romance with Reesa and Marc. It's one of those books that has lots of twists and turns and will keep you reading until the very end. It's very well developed and the characters are easy to relate to. This isn't one of those perfect worlds... Reesa is a damaged soul and is finding it really hard to trust Marc. It's always interesting to read how someone heals from life events and how they find love again. 💕💓💕

Excellent contemporary sports/soccer romance. Marcus is at the top of his game. He's popular with the fans but hasn't been serious about anyone until he meets Ressa. Ressa has struggled since her volatile divorce. She's attracted to Marc but she's so insecure and afraid of the feelings he stirs. Theirs will be a struggle to overcome her insecurities as he is suddenly in a dangerous place. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by Ms. Hart.

This story was full of ups and downs. Uncertainties. Overall it showed that the power of love and acceptance can glow brighter than the sun. This was an exceptional novel. Warm. Heartfelt. A good dose of laughter. Overall that ever, sometimes elusive, butterfly of love. This is a must read.

Well written story with a nice storyline and plot. I like that the characters and how they develop.
A passionate and emotional read with twists. The female character could have had more depth to her. She is a bit off sometimes.

The epilogue is very welcomed and gives the story more to it and it finishes it better of than without it.
There are passion, hot scenes and lots of chemistry in this amazing story.

I think Romi Hart did an amazing job with this book. What I expected to happen didn't. And I what I didn't even think about, happened. I absolutely love how Marc is so charming in a gentlemanly way, with smiles that make the reader smile. you can feel what Reesa feels. Her joy, excitement and fear. Defiantly worth reading. A fast paced book but grear book to read. I loved it. Marc being a sports celeb meets Ressa who's had a bad relationship in the past but wants to takes things further with her.

This book highlights some turmoil for Reesa in the celebrity lifestyle. It's hot & steamy, romantic, frought with jealousy, and misunderstanding.

A great book and a great read. A fabulous book xx
