I have loved the Wicked Ties series from Shayla Black and could not jump on this book fast enough. I thought the characters were engaging and sexy af and I could not get enough.
When Karis is stranded in Cancun after her room is ransacked and her personal documents stolen, she has no choice but to call her friend Cutter to help her. But when Cutter sends his brother (and her NYE fling), she has to deal with All the fireworks from their one night stand suddenly ending. Can Karis and Cage clear the air and admit their feelings before it's too late?
I enjoyed this novella. It did have a bit of insta-love going on but I went with it because Shayla Black always delivers. I look forward to her new series. Bravo! 4 stars! ~Ratula

I love these quick and dirty Wicked Lovers stories! I've been waiting for Cage and Karis' story and Devoted to Wicked was the perfect blend of hot and sexy romance along with all that alpha growly male goodness we expect with a Shayla Black book.
Cage and Karis have been circling each other for a while--neither one willing to admit there's something more between them until Cage arrives in Cancun to bring Karis home when she's stranded without a passport.
I loved watching these two finally admit their feelings and work things out. They're ridiculously sexy together and their sparks were certainly fun to watch! ~ Missy, 4 stars

Shayla Black takes us back into her “Wicked Lovers” series and this book is a cross-over between both the Wicked Lovers and Devoted Lovers series; in this novella, we get Karis’s story. She is Jolie Quinn’s sister and we met her in her sister’s book “Holding on Tighter.” Now we have her story with Cage who is her love interest.
Karis is stuck in Mexico and she is frightened after her passport is stolen so she calls home for some assistance and she is sent Cage…thing is, she has some history with Cage. Cage shows up and he tries to find out why she has been avoiding him since NYE. He knows they have this instant chemistry, this heat yet she is bound and determined to fight it but he refuses to let her. Now on top of it, there is something hinky going on with what happened to Karis- someone is harassing her and trying to keep her in Mexico and doing it in the most strange and scary way. But Cage isn’t about to let anything happen to Karis, not on his watch. Karis doesn’t know what to make of Cage all of a sudden wanting to be there for her and be there with her, yet something tells her he is serious but should she trust her heart, after he broke it last time? This is a fantastic novella in the Wicked Lovers series and I will this could have been extended to a full length book but I will take this novella, for it another hit for Shayla Black!

Karis Weston needs some help but not that kind of help. Cage has an attitude that he uses against others. But he has a soft spot for Karis. Don’t expect to take this to a doctor’s visit or any other kind of appointment. This story won’t last that long.
It’s a story that has a little mystery. It’s a story that moves too quickly. It’s a story that has plenty of heat and chemistry. The story doesn’t seem choppy and the author doesn’t leave anything out so that you’ll feel as if anything is missing. And it’s very sexy.
If you need a read that you can finish in less than two hours than this would be a good choice. It’s one that you can read any time of year. But it would be perfect when you’re on vacation and either sitting poolside or staring out at the ocean – the best way to set the mood. If you’ve never read this author before, what a great way to get your feet wet. You just may find yourself checking out some of her other work. It did leave me wanting to do a little research to go back and see if they make an appearance somewhere else. Plus it left me wondering where they go from there.

Devoted to Wicked is a novella length story with super characterization and a great storyline. Karis Weston is stuck in Cancun, Mexico when her passport and some jewelry are stolen the night before she was due to fly home from her vacation. Cutter Bryant flies to Cancun to help her get a new passport and to protect her while waiting for the paperwork to go through. And maybe he will get some answers as to why she she won't answer his calls after their wonderful night together New Year's Eve.
I enjoyed seeing Karis and Cutter work out their differences and come together as a happy couple. This story was fun to read.

When Karis is stranded in Mexico, she never expects Cage to show up to help her. In a series of misunderstandings, they had parted ways, but now that they are together again, can the air be cleared between them? Will they be able to give into their feelings for each other before it's too late? This was a quick and great read. I love the characters and the story. Shayla Black knows how to keep her readers interested and this was no exception!

Devoted to Wicked by Shayla Black is a quick read filled with passion, second chances, and hope. Cage has a history of one-night stands and Karis has already been there with him and to her, he’s the type of guy that will never be faithful and she’s not going through that, especially since she’s familiar with those types, thanks to her mother.
Someone has targeted Karis and now she needs help. Cage immediately comes to the rescue. It doesn’t take long for Cage and Karis to clear the air, so to speak. It’s important for them both to be on the same page if they’re going to find out who stole from Karis. These two can’t deny their intense chemistry for one another and before they know it, Cage and Karis are proving just how good they can be together.
Overall, Devoted to Wicked is an enjoyable read and for those who love second chances, this is a great novella!

Fantastic cross over novella. Short, but sexy hot and fun! I'm so excited for the extension of the WL series and Devoted looks like it's going to be just as great! Karis and Cage has too much heat to let alone and what a setting for it all to explode in! Everything happens really fast in this read, so be prepared for insta-everything! Hoping for more of these two!

I am a huge fan of Shaylas Wicked Lovers series. They where what started my love affair with her books. Karis gets onto some trouble while away in Mexico and Cage is sent to help her out. After a misunderstanding between them, he’s the last person she wanted to see but with no other options she accepts his help. This is a fast paced short read (it is a novella after all) and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Shayla writes the best characters and Cage and Karis are no exception. I can’t wait for the new Devoted Lovers series that starts with Devoted to Pleasure in July which will be Cutter’s story. Cages brother.

The break in of a hotel room, leaves Karis needing help. When the needed help is a former one night stand that Karis can't get out of her head. And makes her blood boil. Makes trouble in paradise a little hotter. Cage and Karis have the attraction and chemistry, but will the past get in the way of the future.

I read this short story as part of the Alphas of Danger Anthology. It was a nice read that seems to belong to a larger series of stories. As many women in vacation fear, Karis is on vacation in Mexico and her passport is stolen. Unable to return home until she gets a new passport, Cage is sent to help/protect her. Nice HEA and sweet read.

While they find their way back to each other and discover how the other feels they also have one other thing to do, find out who is after Karis. Someone wants her, and will do anything to get her.

Looking for a quickie then this is for you. No matter what Ms. Black writes it will whet your whistle or other parts. This is a delicious introduction to her new series while crossing over between two series favorites; Wicked Lovers and Devoted Lovers. Karis, Jolie’s sister from “Holding on Tighter,” is on vacation in Mexico when some of her belongings and passport are stolen and she is stuck. Coming to her aid is Cage, a one-night stand from long ago that she does not want to see. The pull between the two is undeniable from the beginning. Cage wants to convince Karis to give him a second chance because he does not understand what he did to make her dislike him. Is Karis willing to open her heart up to Cage and trust? Can Cage keep Karis safe? This is one novella that could definitely be expanded to a full-length book but it is remarkable as is. I cannot wait to read the next book in this stellar new series.

What can I say but another amazing story by Shayla Black!
This is the story of Karis and Cage. Karis is in Mexico enjoying a gateway with her girlfriend but things don’t go as planned. She wanted a blissful vacation but ends up with her passport stolen and can’t leave the country without it. Cage is who shows up to help with the situation and happens to be the guy who scorned her and she has no intention of being around except he won’t leave her side. Cage has no idea what he’s done for her to act this way towards him when all he’s done is had Karis on the brain for the time they’ve been apart. However, Cage is determined to keep her safe and if he has it his way make her his in every way imaginable.
Great story and quick read but complete and well written. I would highly recommend this book.

Karis and Cage spent a white hot New Years Eve together ans then he betrayed her. How could she have beeb so wrong about him? Was she just like her mother, always falling for thw wrong guy? When Cage arrives in Mexico to help her out after her passport is stolen, she is not a happy camper. Trying to figure out what went wrong between them has Cage tied up in knots. Add to that his gut reaction to an overly friendly waiter, Cage really needs to make things right with Karis and figure out what's up with her property being taken.
This a an enjoyably quick read. It's steamy, spicy and has a little bit of danger thrown on for good measure. As with all things Shayla Black, the story and characters are likeable, entertaining and believable.
