From the The City of Fountains Foundation has worked toward a national awareness of Kansas City's fountains and sponsors the building of new fountains. When authors Sherry Piland and Ellen J. Uguccioni proposed the compilation of an all-inclusive manuscript concerning Kansas City's fountains, the Foundation commissioned them to do this work because of their credentials and dedication. The literary preparation required more than three years of intensive research and the ongoing commitment of the authors. The Foundation, as publisher of this book, is proud to present this limited first edition of Fountains of Kansas City.

Well illustrated, good text to explain everything about the fountains that could be known: country of origin, cost, why it was installed, current condition. Only a Kansas Citian or a real diehard fountain lover would enjoy this book.

Very descriptive book on all different types of fountains in and around Kansas City. I've hardly took notice of fountains before, but after reading this book, I'll be stopping at everyone I see just to see the handywork that was done in making them. It's sad that they get vandalized. Such beautiful craftsmanship & thought goes into every one of them.
