Filthy Fairy Tales #2

Waking His Princess: A Sleeping Beauty Romance

Rate this book
“I’ve never had an orgasm, okay?”It’s the last thing I thought I’d hear from my best friend’s little sister. Princess Aurora is sweet, innocent, untouched, and totally pure - I never thought I’d hear her say the word orgasm at all.Now that I have, I can’t think about anything else. I’ve had dozens of women, but every time I close my eyes I imagine what Aurora would look like underneath me, biting her lip and gasping for breath. What she’d look like naked, face flushed with pleasure. What she’d look like as she screamed my name, nails dragging down my back. Her older brother is my best friend. If he found me sneaking around with his little sister, he’d kill me - maybe literally. We can’t get caught... but she’s a drug, an addiction, and I can’t stay away. There’s a story that Aurora was cursed by a witch when she was a baby - that she’d prick her finger and fall asleep, but I can tell you that’s not gonna happen.Instead, my prick is gonna wake her up.Waking His Princess is a super-steamy fairy tale with an alpha prince, a virgin princess, and plenty of instalove, where everyone lives happily ever after!

Sleeping Beauty, Her Prince AND A “Huge Monster”!?

“Waking His Princess” is extremely fast paced, flows seamlessly and a thoroughly engaging adaptation of the classic fairytale with one caveat, it’s for adults only. Professionally written, with well-developed characterizations “Waking His Princess” is a delightfully decadent story full of insta-lust/love, rumored curses (or hexes) and a touch of suspense. The chemistry between the lead characters is incendiary, the intimate encounters tastefully done (totally squirm inducing) and not recommended for reading in public (like I always say… never let them see you blush!). Declan, the hero, is swoon worthy (did I just really say swoon!?) dominant and best of all… ahem… brandishes a “huge monster”. Aurora, the heroine, is completely identifiable, intelligent and well grounded. Fans of the series will encounter brief appearances by previous characters but the story reads entirely as a standalone.

If you are like me, short on time and enjoy romantic tropes with scorching heat, dominant heroes, no cheating and sweet HEA’s… give “Waking His Princess” a try, you’ll be so glad you did!

In Waking His Princess: A Sleeping Beauty Romance, Princess Aurora (wearing a microphone accidentally left on from a TV interview) inadvertently tells everyone that she's never had an orgasm, which makes Prince Declan (her long-time crush from a neighboring kingdom) finally see her as more than his best friend's little sister. They come together in an explosive insta-lust/insta-love romance, only to be thwarted by the curse her evil aunt put on baby Aurora (this is Sleeping Beauty, after all). Thankfully, he can give her true love's kiss, saving her from her coma and letting them live happily ever after.

This is the first book by Parker Grey that I've read, and the first one of the Filthy Fairy Tales. Apparently, all the male characters in these books are man-whores redeemed by true love and all of the heroines are virgins (because they're princesses, of course). If that's not your cup of tea, it's understandable. If you like a sexy fairy-tale inspired romance with BDSM influences, then this may be the book for you. I certainly enjoyed reading it.

The title tells it all and comes through with every line. If you are looking for a super naughty fairy tale retelling then pick this gem up! Princess Aurora has been lusting after her brother's best friend Declan since she hit puberty. When an unfortunate event occurs with a hot mic during a morning television show Princess Aurora reveals that she has never had an orgasm. Declan offers to assist he in that department (wink, wink). It did take until almost the end of the story for the traditional elements of the fairy tale to evolve but other than that it this story was FIRE!!

This specific video review will be included in the April 2019 wrap-up.

Sleeping Beauty say what !!

Now you all know I love a good fairytale retelling. How many of these do I read? Who knows but if there is a series and their are fairytales I am so here for it then I go crazy 😜. Aurora admits to everyone that she’s never had an orgasm and Declan’s whose secretly had a thing for her since she came back from boarding school keeps denying his feelings. What he doesn’t know is that aurora is basically irresistible and he needs her.

This story is hilarious 😂, super hot 🥵 ultra taboo and these secret friends become lovers overnight.

Give it a try… while I give book 3 a go !!

Happy reading everyone!

Unfortunately I wasn't the biggest fan of this one which sucked because i really enjoyed the first book. For me he was way to pleased with the dozens possibly hundreds of women he slept with. Ew. No thanks. And he was so focused on sleeping with her the whole time there wasn't much of a connection. Plus his obsession with her hm.... backside. I did like the idea of the story though plus the little excitement at the end and the fact is carried over characters from the previous book. Had a happy ending as well.

Wow I absolutley loved this modern take on the classic fairy tale Sleeping Beauty. Aurora is the perfect virginal princess, demure and innocent, until Declan gets a hold of her. Declan is a playboy prince that certainly knows his way around a woman's body. He has been thinking about Aurora for a while now, but once her secret slips out he is determined to claim her. These to have some explosive chemistry and can get downright filthy! Such a great read. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

WOW!! I love reading what I call a play on fairy tails, but Parker writes some of my favorites!! Princess Aurora never thought her brothers best friend would end up being her true love, but after their first time together she soon realizes he is!

I liked this better than the first book in the series. This is a little sister falls for the best friend of her big brother trope.

If you are a sucker for a sexy modern retelling of Sleeping Beauty, this is a good quick read. This was a cute but dirty story.

This was a fantastic twist on the Sleeping Beauty fairytale! Aurora and Declan were great together. They had some really hot chemistry. I loved their story! I was hooked from the very beginning and didn't want to put it down. I definitely recommend one-clicking this one!

I’ve always wanted to read some fantasy romance fairy tale retellings, and admittedly this one was not bad. The world felt a bit flimsy, in that much like a dream, you can’t delve too deep into any details since you’ll wake up and realize it was all not real. So the story doesn’t stand up to deep contemplation because it doesn’t work very hard to explain anything outside the romance. Like the visitors from inner mongolia. Why were they there? How were they there? What became of them after? Their visit didn’t matter outside of presenting a distraction from Declan’s focus on the princess and their romantic escapade. So the world is flimsy and most of the characters are too, much like a unfinished coloring book, or the frozen people from wandavision. But the smexy scenes and dialogue was fine. The flimsy set building held up to support this, which was enough. But I wish they had told us more, made more plot than just the romance to make me more committed to the story. I guess I wanted to read like a whole franchise-think twilight, harry potter, shadowhunters world level. Okay maybe that’s too far but like at least ruby dixon’s dragon world? idk maybe one day I’ll find that fairy tale series with the smexy and the story.

Superbly sexed-up Sleeping-Beauty-themed tale!

I received an Advance Reader Copy for Waking His Princess (Filthy Fairy Tales, Book #2) written by Parker Grey and voluntarily reviewed this book.  It was definitely NOT her intention, but Princess Aurora made the declaration that she has never had an orgasm pretty much to the whole kingdom over the PA system. Everyone was shocked, but Prince Declan becomes even more intrigued by her then when she reappeared after completing boarding school. Now he can’t really think of anything else but helping the girl out with her very obvious lack of experience. And even with a very protective older brother and best friend, as well as a curse hanging over Aurora’s head, he cannot stop himself from becoming addicted to all her loveliness. I loved this author’s take on the tale and its modernization along with the first-world problems that they have at the royalty level…Really looking forward to the third book in this series, releasing soon this month!

Poor Aurora, when everyone hears her confession- she is not just embarrassed she is mortified, the man she's been pining over Declan just had to hear it as well.
Once just the annoying sister to his best friend Grayson, Declan has already been fighting his mounting attraction for Aurora, overhearing her confession has only heightened his need for her. Grayson would kill him, is he willing to take that risk? The connection with Aurora is so different than it has ever been with any other women.
Waking His Princess is a fast-moving storyline, with a dirty talking, gets around Prince Declan that has the moves to back it up, giving the not so innocent Princess Aurora her chance to break out royal life. Insta-all heart bursting at the seams read had me racing through this hotter than Hades story to find out what happens between these two naughty Royals but at the same time wishing it did not have to end!
Happily enjoyed every page of this book!
I am looking forward to what Parker Grey has in store for us next!

Aurora is a Princess, a virgin and has never had an orgasm. She was cursed at three months old by a cousin who is a witch to die before her 20th birthday, but her parents took her to a good witch and the good witch changed it to her falling into a coma, only to be awakened by true love’s kiss. (Partial Quote)

Declan is a Prince and also one of Grayson’s friends. (He is also Aurora’s brother and the main character from book one.) Declan comes to the palace for the christening ceremony for Grayson’s son and he can’t stop wanting Aurora.

This was a good wicked, sexy twist on the the Sleeping Beauty story. I liked it, but I wish there was more of a connection between them than just sex. I know this is an erotic romance, but a deeper connection would have made it more enjoyable. They go from zero to sixty instantly.

The story is definitely worth reading if you like erotic romance. There is a HEA with no cliffhanger.

A steamy read that that loosely resembles Sleeping Beauty this time it’s Princess Aurora and she’s had a crush on her older brother’s best friend, Declan. Declan is a Prince and is known for his womanizing ways but Aurora is different and when he hears one of her secrets, he can’t wait to get his hands on her. But there is a curse on her and it seems that the only way to reverse it is from a kiss from her true love....could that be Declan ?
A great quick steamy steamy steamy read that will keep you warm on the cold days and I enjoyed these two and the fact that there weren't any jealous women trying to break them apart, or any misunderstandings or miscommunications between them. The obstacle that was standing in their way was quickly dealt with and that made the story so much better as it then only focused on them two.

Sexy Fun!

This is a dirty and very sexy retelling of Sleeping Beauty! Aurora has a little problem, she accidentally announced that she has never had an orgasm over her live mike during a royal engagement. She is mortified. Declan is Aurora's older brothers best friend and of course he over hears her dilemma. He has been attracted to her for a little while now and this cements the deal in his mind, he has to have her. Aurora has a huge crush on Declan but is concerned about his reputation as a manwhore. The heat between the two is undeniably and it is not long before they succumb to temptation. There is also a little problem of the possibility that Aurora may or may not be cursed. This is definitely a scorching hot read with a sexy, alpha prince and a feisty princess!

Very well written book with great storyline and plot. A sweet, hot and different romance book. Hot modern and steamy fairytale. I like the twists and changes.

I love the couples journey towards their HEA. There is fear, drama, passion, emotions, hot scenes, twists and lots of chemistry in this amazing story. Instant attraction. It is written in dual POV which gives the reader much more of the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. Love that it has an epilogue.
A story about overcoming fear and letting go. No spoiler here!

Lots of chemistry and hot scenes. I like the main characters and how they develop. The story flows nicely and it is very captivating from first to last chapter. The author has delivered a story that is worth the read!

I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Warning. Again. ⚠️ If the cover doesn’t give it away, it’s another filthy fairytale and the description ahead and downright delicious. I also wanted to get this up sincemy best friend read it and provided me with plenty of entertainment with her commentary. Book two, Waking His Princess by Parker Grey.
.
WHELP. Let me just fan myself a little bit, ladies. This series is just full of insta-love, steamy scenes and throws in a little suspense. Poor Aurora is cursed in a few ways. More than just the “love” department. But she’s also cursed. But no one believes it. Or should it be believed? Declan. Oh sweet Declan. You love him right away ‘cause he’s alpha, kind and genuine from the beginning. He knows he doesn’t deserve her but it doesn’t stop him from wanting her, even falling in love with her. If you like these short and hot reads... another great!

Princess Aurora's secret about still having her v-card gets out and she finds it difficult to resist Declan's promise to help her out with that. Declan soon finds Aurora is all he can think about. Things really heat up once they give in to one another.

Oh Declan, how hot you are! I'd crawl into my freezer to cool off if I could. Aurora had me laughing so dang much with her internal monologue. This book had it all. Funny, so steamy, surprising, and best of all, a happy ever after.
I enjoyed reading Waking His Princess so much. A princess with a problem and one sexy, dirty talking prince ready to fix that problem makes this book a definite five star read. I reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

This story was okay.. I wish there was more of a connection between Aurora and Declan, it seem like the whole relationship was base on sex. I would have liked a more emotional connection between the two. I just didn't feel it. And in the beginning of the book there an comment about the hundreds of woman he's slept with, that just turned me off. I so didn't want to hear about that. Towards the end you start to feel Declan emotions toward Aurora. You get a little excitement and you definitely have that omg moment, that turns into worry. At one point I started to scream at Declan to kiss her..... overall it was a good, fast and sexy read, with alot of sex...

3.5 hot royal stars.

I always like the adult version of fairy tales and this twist of sleeping beauty is not an exception.
A sweet innocent Princess and a playboy Prince. Oh yeah this book has interesting story.
I like this fast-paced sweet hot read, there's funny moments and of course there's plenty hotness. Even though it's a bit predictable, I still enjoying it nonetheless.

As for characters, I like Prince Declan and Princess Aurora, I wished I can feel their connection though, because all I can feel is their lust.

If you love fairy tales romance with a lot of hotness, you might like this one.

Aurora is a princess who has fancied her brother’s best friend Declan forever. Unfortunately her brother Grayson is his best friend so knows of his reputation with women. After over hearing a private conversation about her never having had an orgasm he can’t resist her anymore, Princess Aurora has grown up. Declan has been noticing her more and more since he returned to the castle, after this comment, he can't resist the princess anymore. This is going to get dirty, this book is hot! The sneaking makes is that much more enjoyable.

I enjoyed this one better than the first. I was a little iffy about how much of a man ho Declan was going to be (and don't get me wrong he totally is but it's not as in your face as Grayson from the previous book). I really enjoyed Aurora because once she got her chance to experience life she totally jumped right in but i was also frustrated with her for being so annoyingly innocent. I have to say I was unsure of his motives until the hospital scene. Prepare yourself because once you read that you'll fall even more for out dirty talking smexy H!

A modern day twist on Sleeping Beauty. Loved this second novel in the series. Declan a former playboy has met his match when he over hears Princess Aurora say that she has never had an orgasm. Declan makes it his mission to help Aurora overcome her problem. Love the chemistry between these two. It was great that Grayson and Ella, from the first book, were part of this story as well. Can’t wait for number 3!!

Amazing, steamy story!!!

I've been skipping around this series, not read I g the books in order, but I fell in LOVE with this one. I haven't found a royalty romance series I'm super in to, but this book is one of the best I have read. I've only read the Beauty and the Beast one, and it was okay, but I am going to binge on the other two novels today. Grey has definitely shot up to one of my favorite authors. Declan was incredibly sexy, and I loved Aurora.

Okay read

It was cute. I paid a couple dollars for this story. I don't want to continue the series because of how much you have to pay for it. I would have wished it was more pages to get more money worth. But I guess that depends on the publishing and everything and how much is price. It definitely was a short read but the storyline was good. I also feel like some of the things were a little unrealistic but obviously it was a semi spin-off of sleeping beauty.
