About the author

Christopher Lynch is a Southern California native and a freelance writer living in Los Angeles. His debut novel, One Eyed Jack, a hard-boiled crime thriller about a professional blackmailer, is a 2013 Shamus Award finalist.
He is also an avid cyclist and a mountain climber with successful summits of Mount Whitney, Mount Shasta, Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa, Mount Kalapatar in Nepal, and has recently completed a trek to Mount Everest Base Camp.
He counts as one of his greatest accomplishments the successful training and leading of nine blind hikers to the summit of 10,000 foot Mount Baldy, the highest point in Los Angeles County and the third highest peak in Southern California. “I had Jerry the juicer, I had knowledge of how the system operated, and I had a list of players that I could soon begin to lean on. But one nagging piece of information had eluded me to this point. Who was the “Demon.” Dortell Williams? And if he wasn’t juicing, how the heck did he pull off superhuman feats of strength and speed?”

While I may have liked the protagonist blackmailer One Eyed Jack better without the committed love interest, maybe vicariously thinking he was available, Christopher Lynch never cheats the reader with his time reaching and offers a plot that captures the reader. If you are not all about football, don’t let the subject matter keep you away. I wasn’t, and I still couldn’t put the book down until the final page.
