A Vicarage Reunion is the second book in ‘The Holley Sisters of Thornthwaite’ series. I reviewed the first book, ‘A Vicarage Christmas‘, in October last year and loved it. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book.

The books are set in Thornthwaite, a little village in the Lake District, and follow the lives of the daughters of Roger (who was the local vicar), and Ruth Holley. The last book focused on Anna Holley, who suffers with social anxiety. This story follows her older sister Esther, who, after suffering a miscarriage decides that she has had enough of her life, and walks out on her husband Will.

However, farmer Will isn’t going to be easy to let go of. He wants his wife back and will do anything to win her heart again.

What I like about this series is that whilst the books are sweet, easy reads, they also contain hard hitting issues. The first dealt with Anna trying to come to terms with her past and learning how to handle her social anxiety. This book is very much about Esther and how she has reacted to her miscarriage. Whilst others can see that she is grieving, she is unwilling to accept that and wants to just push it to one side, but by doing that she is causing herself more problems, including pushing her husband away.

I would advise reading book one before this book, as it contains a lot of information that will help you to fully understand this book. It is also great to catch up with some of the characters again from A Vicarage Christmas.

The book is quite short, so won’t take you long to get through, but Ms. Hewitt has certainly packed a lot into those pages. Her writing style flows naturally, and she knows how to create beautiful visual scenery with her words. This is a book that you can dip in and out of whenever you have a few minutes spare, or sit and read in one go, either way you will get pure enjoyment. I can’t wait to read book three now.

I've shed more than a few tears as I've read The Holley Sisters of Thornthwaite books. I lost my son almost four years ago and following the Holley family dealing with the far reaching ripples surrounding the death of their young brother has rang so true for me. As always, Kate Hewitt's characters are real people dealing with real everyday problems we can all relate to. The love the Holley family shares is tangible and will touch your heart.

Kate, thank you for being the treasure that you are. I look forward to Rachel's story!

The second installment of the series featuring the Thornthwaite vicar's daughters features Esther. Esther married Will, but a difficult circumstance drives a bit of a wedge between them. Esther moves home to the vicarage. At the same time, she accepts a package from her employer which allows her to make a completely new start. Esther's parents plan a move to China in the upcoming months, and the curate will move into the vicarage at that time. When Esther's father suggests turning a neglected garden into a community garden, Esther receives the curate's blessing to pursue the project. Much more happens, but to reveal more would give away too much plot. Perhaps the overriding story theme is the phrase Esther's mother utters which was the title of a best-selling counseling book by Frank Minirth and Paul Meier, "Happiness Is a Choice." This series is certain to please readers of the Miss Read books and other English village life books. I received an advance electronic copy from the publisher through LibraryThing's Early Reviewer program in exchange for an honest review.

I couldn't wait to read the second book in this series and it didn't let me down. Full of romance and families and finding happiness again great characters and story line and has you hooked from the first page. Has you really thinking at times and shows sometimes you have to go back to the beginning.
Esther has been married to will for a while and she finds out she has lost a baby and in doing so she finds she's wants different things in life so she decides to leave will and tells him she never wanted a child and walks out and turns up at her parents house the vicarage. Her parents are upset got her and her mother suggests she goes to counselling but can she do this. She also throws herself in to work but isn't happy. Her and will go to a wedding pretending they are still a couple but it's clear she's not happy but he wants to give it another go. She finds an email from her work offering redundancies and she decides it's time to move on. Will makes a phone call one night saying their beloved dog is passing away and she goes straight over and she stays the night and will talks with her saying why don't they start at the beginning and date again and see if they can make things work. Is this what Esther wants it not and can she enjoy herself on the dates and move forward together or is the end really what is best. Her parents are moving away as well and can they sort the house and every thing out with all the sisters.
This is a must read so well written with amazing characters and great to curl up and read.

A Vicarage Reunion by Kate Hewitt is a heartfelt women's fiction story. Romance, marriage, miscarriage and family life are put to the test. A journey that sucked me in from the first page. A young married couple have been suffering silently for a long while. Until one day, the wife decides she can't take it anymore. Losing their baby, was the last straw for Esther. Esther is a daughter of a vicar. She knew her faith should be stronger but she felt broken, sad, and unhappy. Esther decided to leave her good husband Will. Only fate has plans that neither adult saw coming. Will loves his wife and alway will love her. He felt sad, broken, and unhappy that she left him. Worried about what he did to make her leave, Will goes about trying to woo his wife back into his arms.

It was so easy to like the characters. Relating to the married couple was like breathing in air. Their personalities made them believable. Heartache, fear, and their little flaws make way for a path of discovery, renewal, and acceptance. Both Esther and Will have a lot to figure out before they can get their lives back in-order.

Overall, A Vicarage Reunion, is sweet, thoughtful, and deep. I enjoyed following the protagonists as they fell and rose. Their dilemmas were understandable. The story was clean, well-developed, and engaging. I highly recommend this title to all readers.

I received this copy from the publisher. This is my voluntary review.

At the end of the first book Anna's older sister Esther and her husband Will had announced they were expecting a baby, but Anna had found Esther in the kitchen in despair because she didn't want the baby.

Fast forward two months, Esther and Will lost the baby and Esther has decided to leave Will, because she can't live with the shame of not wanting the baby, of not wanting any babies, and not telling Will.

This is a charming, and tearful, second chance romance between a gruff, taciturn farmer and a woman afraid of showing her feelings, afraid of being less than perfect.

Let me start by saying this is not, by any mean, a bad book. Quite the contrary. The story is difficult, but most of the characters are likable, and I really tried, at first, to go on because it was heartbreaking, but interesting to follow them around.

But Esther, oh God, Esther. I always say that your circumstances, not matter how awful, should never allow you to be cruel and unkind. And I felt like Esther was the epitome of blind cruelty, just by her lack of empathy in general, and her inability to realize her actions had impacts on others. While I fell in love with almost everyone in the book, I just couldn't stand how ... truly and utterly clueless she was regarding the feelings of others, at a point when I was wondering just how she managed a relationship in the first place, not to mention years of marriage.

I loved Will. Il loved Esther's parents. I loved the whole set-up, and the way the author made me live there with all of them. But I guess Esther and I will never, ever be friends.

Sometimes it takes a monumental event in our lives for us to question everything we’ve ever known. Are we truly happy? Are we just existing, or embracing all that life has to offer?

Following a devastating miscarriage, this is what happens to Esther Langley. Esther doesn’t do feelings, but then, neither does her stoic, sheep farmer husband, Will. Struggling to reconcile her inner turmoil, she feels as if her marriage is over. Moving back into her childhood home with her parents at the vicarage isn’t the comfort she hoped it would be. With changes happening all around her, Esther has some self-discovery of her own to do.

Will is unable to fathom the reasoning behind Esther leaving. Losing the baby was terrible, but he thought they were coming through it. But, were they really? Hindsight is a wonderful thing - isn’t it? Now Will questions all he thought to be true. How long has Esther been unhappy? Could he have done more?

Determined not to let her go, Will asks to ‘date’ his wife. For the chance to remind themselves of the reasons they fell in love to start with. To get to know one another all over again, including the changes that have occurred over time. But, also, for the chance to be honest with each other, maybe more honest than they have ever been.

A truly poignant, and emotional read which will make you question what love really is. Is it the grand gestures? Or, is it simply being there through thick and thin, weathering whatever storm comes your way - together? As they say, nothing in life is ever easy...

I was a little unsure about this book when I first picked it up. It’s a definite step away from the norm from me. Maybe it’s because I turn *whispers* 4-0 this year, but something about the book called to me, and I’m so glad I took the chance.

I was swept away by the author’s effortless writing, and as I said, the story is full of emotion. Hey, you all know what I’m like by now *smirks* There is this one scene between Esther and a little girl during the Easter egg hunt which had me in tears with the pure poignancy of the moment.

I want to know more about these sisters, and the community they inhabit. I look forward to a return visit to Thornthwaite very soon.

This is the second book in the Holley Sisters of Thornthwaite series. Each book focuses on one sister so if you haven’t read the previous novel, this does read as a stand alone.

Anna is the sister who features in the first book in the series, of which we do briefly catch up with her in this one. I would have liked to have seen that little bit more of her but I enjoyed getting to know Esther, the eldest sister better.

On the outside, each sister seems to be happy with their lives, but when you dig that little bit deeper, each one is fighting their own issues. For Esther and Will, they are struggling with a miscarriage which has left Esther questioning everything about her life.

For me this story is about someone finding themselves again. It’s a reminder at how get get ourselves into a strut, going through the same motions everyday. Esther is very much a bit of a cold fish but I really warmed to her and she is another sister that felt like a good friend by the end of the book.

A Vicarage Reunion is a light read with a deeper meaning. True to it’s genre, it is set in an idyllic location with a wonderful cast of characters. Each sister has you wanting to know more about them. I love Ruth, the mothers character and feel like there maybe more to come from her. I hope so anyway. An endearing read.

Kate Hewitt's stories have always grabbed me. Mainly because it may start out as a small town contemporary romance but it rarely ever remains that way. A Vicarage Reunion is no exception. The blurb is definitely misleading, it doesn't really give a hint about the anguish both Will and Esther have gone thru prior to their separation and there are moments when you feel Esther is giving both the reader and Will headaches with not knowing what she really wants. Will isn't exactly blameless as well but I do appreciate that he was willing to find out what was wrong because he believed that his marriage was worth fighting for. There are discussions about faith (since Esther is a pastor's daughter) but its not central to the storyline, rather its used to illustrate that there are different ways people handle marriage. I really like the way the story was resolved, how both Esther and Will acknowledged that they necessarily didn't need to change themselves completely but rather be open about what they felt and what they are thinking. Their chemistry is apparent but again the way the handled their current situation makes their attraction much more believable and emotional.

A sweet romantic story

The second book in this series is as sweet as the first and again deals with a traumatic event. The author does a wonderful job of creating characters that have faults and fobiles and having them work toward a better future.

Esther is always in control. She has a steady relationship and nothing out of the ordinary ever happens in her life. When a miscarriage causes emotional distress Esther doesn't know how to handle this. After two months Esther still doesn't feel any better. She and her husband Will don't talk about anything and she's had enough. That's why she leaves him and moves back in with her parents at the vicarage of Thornthwaite. Esther thought she'd be relieved that she's finally free, but instead she feels lonely and empty. How can she get her life back on track again and feel like herself once more?

Will is stunned when Esther leaves him all of a sudden. He has his farm and animals to look after and has no choice but to keep going, though he feels desolate without his wife by his side. The miscarriage caused a lot of grief for both of them, however, Will had no idea his wife was thinking about leaving him. Esther is his world and he wants nothing more than to be with the woman he loves. He tries to find a way to make Esther see that they still have a chance. Will he be able to pull it off and can Esther and Will save their marriage or is it too late to rescue it, when by not talking to each other they've neglected to make so many important decisions together?

A Vicarage Reunion is an emotional romantic story. I loved that Kate Hewitt has chosen to write about a marriage between two people who clearly love each other, but have plenty of issues. Esther is sad, there's something missing in her life and there are many things she should have said to Will, but couldn't because she never dared to speak about them. Her feelings are quite chaotic and Esther needs to find a way to sort through them, which was an interesting journey to witness. Will is as quiet as she is and that makes it difficult for them to share anything about themselves. Their non verbal communication used to be enough, but when that fails they have nothing to fall back on, which is an interesting topic for a moving love story. Esther and Will are wonderful people and I couldn't wait to find out if they'd be able to find happiness again.

Kate Hewitt has a fabulous welcoming writing style and her stories always have a heartwarming atmosphere. She skillfully makes her settings come to life through vivid and detailed descriptions. I loved reading about the vicarage and the farm. Will and Esther are fond of animals and that was something I really enjoyed about their personalities. A Vicarage Reunion is a multilayered love story with a lot of depth. Kate Hewitt's descriptions of the emotional turmoil her main characters are in is spot on and the story made me tear up quite a few times. There are many surprising moments and the ending is beautiful and put a big smile on my face. I absolutely loved A Vicarage Reunion, it's captivating, impressive, tender and touching.

this is Esther and Will Holley's story.
Esther stood behind her, hands on her hips, smiling in a stern sort of way. “It’s only been three years, after all.”
“I saw you in August,” Anna protested as Rachel gave her one final squeeze and then stepped back.
“But you haven’t been back to Thornthwaite in three years,” Esther remarked, typically. She’d probably been tracking everyone’s movements on a spreadsheet.
Life as a singleton thirty something living in her parents’ house is miserable, but Esther is determined to re-boot her life, including going on a few unfortunate dates.
She’s shocked when tight-lipped Will shows up on her doorstep determined to woo her back. They’ve been married for seven years, but Will wants to return to the beginning, dating and getting to know each other again.

I’ve enjoyed other books by Kate Hewitt, but this one was a bit of a miss for me.

After a false pregnancy, Esther can’t deal with the emotions she feels about both the pregnancy and the state of her marriage to her husband, Will. She decides that the best thing to do is for her to leave him, although she’s unable to bring herself to be honest about why. Will is completely blindsided and understandably hurt by her decision. However, he loves her and wants to find a way for them to reconcile. Esther then has to decide what she wants, not just in terms of her marriage, but for her life as a whole, since the one she was living wasn’t making her happy.

One thing I really like about Hewitt as an author is that she isn’t afraid to tackle heavy topics. The cover of this book might make you think that it is cozy and twee, but that’s not the case at all. There are a lot of issues to unpack here: grief at the loss of a child, the pain caused by a lack of communication in a relationship, uncertainty over a job Esther no longer enjoys, even the changing dynamics of her family as her parents prepare to leave the home she grew up in.

What disappointed me about this book was that Esther resolves all of her problems so easily that it didn’t feel realistic to me. It takes her about a month, maybe a little longer, to work through the worst of things. For example, she decides to take a redundancy package and leave her job, and she immediately finds something more rewarding to fill her time, which is just so unlikely. I wish Hewitt hadn’t had such a compressed timeline for this book, because I think it would have benefited from giving the story a little more time to develop. (Although she may not have had a choice, since it seems like this four-book series may have one book set in each season of one year.)

Hewitt’s fans will find a lot to enjoy about this book, but I don’t know that I would recommend it as a starting point for anyone who is unfamiliar with her work. I think she's written better novels than this one.

A copy of this book was provided through NetGalley for review; all opinions expressed are my own.

It is unfortunately still something of a taboo so the fact that miscarriage plays such a big part in Kate Hewitt’s latest book, A Vicarage Reunion, feels like an important step to me.
Having experienced two early pregnancy losses, I was drawn to this novel – the second in this series – but what kept me reading was the fact it's a brilliantly told story, with barely suppressed emotion, which I knew had to come out eventually.
While it might be too raw to read if you’ve just experienced it, nearly seven years after my first loss I found the book comforting. Obviously everyone grieves differently but I could relate to the way not just Esther but also Will were dealing (or maybe not dealing) with what happened.
I’ll admit I wasn’t sure about Esther at first but the more I got to know her, the more I liked her - and in the end I desperately wanted her to have a happy ending.
The miscarriage was a catalyst for them splitting up but I also felt it helped them to understand each other better. They had settled into a rut after years of marriage, as can so easily happen, but this was their wake up call.
Despite the fact I haven’t read the first book (yet), I was able to easily understand the family dynamics at the vicarage and really enjoyed meeting the engaging cast of characters.
I thought the whole story was exceptionally well written and can’t wait to read more.

With thanks to Tule Publishing for the ARC (via NetGalley) in return for an honest review.

Reading A Vicarage Reunion is very enjoyable. We get to the centre of the conflict at the same time Will, Esther husband know there is a problem in their marriage. Being separated seems the most logical choice for Esther after having miscarriage and only continue on to survive, not to live on her life. While Will, confused, angry and heart-broken continue to find the why’s and then decided to Esther to go dating again.

As a married woman, the story is easy to relate to. The boredom of the marriage is inevitable if we trapped on the daily routines. The main characters also developed well, we get to know their thoughts, feeling and see the flaws that make them more human.

At first, I thought that this is the first book on the series, yet this is the second book. But the author doesn’t make me feel that I’m missing something.

The things that I could take from this book are; spice up your marriage and do communicate honestly with your spouse. If you can’t be brutally honest with your life partner, then to whom you could tell all your inner feelings and secrets?

I would recommend this book for women who’s already marriage or thinking about marriage, because the marriage start after the wedding reception for (hopefully) the rest of our life.

I receive the copy via netgalley, and this is my honest review.

This is my favorite type of novel. It was sweet, clean and very entertaining. Don't let this fool you into thinking it was light and fluffy, because it is not. Kate captures your heart from the very start of the book. It contains a lot of heartache and lost, but the way her characters work through them makes it a must read. Will and Esther were such strong main characters in this story. Even though they were married eight years and together ten, Esther felt there was nothing left in their relationship. Having a miscarriage, was the last straw for her. There were lots of other family members, as well as church family that added interest to the story line. Kate's characters were all well developed. I related so many times to Esther and what she was feeling and some of the things she had to go through. A quote from the book sums it up for me. “tears were streaming from her eyes and her shoulders were shaking and she felt as if she were falling apart. Literally falling apart right there on the kitchen floor, bits and pieces breaking off until there would be nothing left.” I've been there, how about you. The good news, it doesn't end there. There is so much more to this beautiful story. I whole heartily recommend this book.
I received a copy from Net Galley and Tule Publishers and it was not required for me to give a review.

The trouble with reading Kate Hewitt’s stories is that as soon as you finish one and discover the next is not due out for months you wish you’d read the current one more slowly and really savoured it.
I’ve loved this, the second Holley Sisters story, from the moment I started reading it. Kate Hewitt creates characters that are truly three dimensional, carrying the sorts of burdens you or I might carry, yet facing those challenges head on and growing as a result. This series is set in England’s gorgeous Lakes District and each story has all the charm of a small country village.
Will and Esther are so thoroughly English, not quite stiff upper lip, but holding their feelings and their hurts close to their chests and suffering as a result. Their story was unutterably sad at times, yet truly joyful at others as these two solid, reliable people learned to trust and share and lean on each other. I felt for each of them at different times in the story. I couldn’t help it. I was right there with them living each tiny nuance of pain and anguish as they dealt with their problems, and oh my goodness it was good when finally they sorted things out and started to live again.
This has been such a gorgeous story I’m really tempted to go right back to the beginning now and start again. I guess that’s the mark of a real keeper and this one definitely is.

In a small town it does not take long for news, especially gossip, to make the rounds. More so when you are the vicar's daughter. Esther is the eldest daughter. While not outwardly exceptionally devout, she has always wanted to be a good daughter, a good person, focused and driven to have a purposeful life. She thought she had found her calling, in agricultural protection, right out of school. She married a good man and settled down. Until there was a life changing event and she begins to wonder if her life has been about settling and being just enough, and just going through the motions.
As Esther realizes and admits her despair, you will feel her sadness in the author's phrasing. Things feel colder and less energetic, more black and white or gray.
When lighter moments happen, around Esther, you will notice a different energy in the phrasing. The frenetic pace of the kitchen when family gathers.
A large portion of this book focuses on this colorless feeling and figuring out if it is from an event or the culmination of many moments, coming to a head. Then there are sparks of recognition - moments of clarity and awareness that penetrate the gray.
This is a book of self discovery and reflection. Eventually it is a book about finding home and coming home. About growth that comes from change.

Esther is the eldest daughter of the vicar, and has had a good job for 10 years and a steady, reliable husband, Will, a sheep farmer who inherited the family farm. A miscarriage causes her to re-examine their staid, settled life and leaves her wanting something more, or perhaps something different. So she decides to leave Will and move back in with her parents to the vicarage in Thornthwaite. Esther has a hard time articulating to Will, her parents and her sisters exactly what she finds so unsatisfactory about her life, but she never has been one to let emotion rule her head, and has never properly learned to express her emotions. Will is hurt, but not willing to let their marriage die. Her sister is making plans for her wedding, another sister is falling in love, and the 4th sister who lives far away in Australia is also considering her future. Meanwhile, her parents will be leaving the vicarage and taking a position in distant China. Everyone is facing challenges, which leads to the next book in the series. Normally, I don't like to jump into the middle of a series, but this book can stand on its own. Though I do want to hear what happens to the sister who plans to marry since that relationship seems to be less than ideal...

All her life, Esther has worked toward her next goal. So much so, that it seems she is crossing items off her to-do list rather than living her life. Emotions are something she has never done, so she thought Will was perfect for her, because he didn't either. When she finds out she is no longer pregnant, the emotions roll in and she doesn't know how to handle them, but she is convinced her marriage is over . Will is blind-sided when Esther walks out, but determined to get to the bottom of what went wrong. Esther has to discover what makes her happy and how to deal with emotions and find a happy and fulfilling life while, hopefully, she and Will can find their way back to each other.
Poor Esther broke my heart. She was so lost and confused, so she headed to the best place to find herself: home to her Mother and Father. Their strength and support, as well as their own relationship, help Esther start to find her way. I can always trust that when I pick up something written by Kate Hewitt that it will have strong characters with lives and problems that I can relate to, while approaching the story in a way that will draw you in and feel every emotion. This was no different.

3.5 Stars: A Vicarage Reunion is the 2nd book in the Holley Sisters of Thornthwaite series. Esther is the oldest sister and was happily married to a local sheep farmer. When she has a miscarriage, she is thrown off course and an emotional mess. She separates from Will and moves back in with her parents. She is not happy with her new life, and decides to go on a few dates to see what else is out there for her. Will decides he needs to woo her back and shows up on her parent's doorstep to date her. She isn't sure what to do, but decides to accept and suddenly Will is different, in a good way. Can they find a way back to one another?

This was a sweet romance with lots of bumps along the way. Tragedy has a way of derailing people and relationships and it is often easier to move on, and away from the old life, but Will wasn't ready to sit back and let that happen. Although this isn't a long book, it packs a punch. Dealing with miscarriage, grief, and relationships are tough and Kate Hewitt does a good job with them. The next book is set up in this one as there is a wedding coming up for another sister. What will happen in the next book?

Oh Esther and Will… hard workers, loyal to a fault, family-oriented… and then one trauma busts it all up and unearths some unexpressed feelings. Thankfully, their little town — including Esther’s family — provides the guardrails to help Esther and Will find their way.

Their struggle was real. I’ve felt it and I’m sure all married couples have felt it at some time in their marriage. Things are going fine until they aren’t. And sometimes the solution isn’t exactly staring anyone in the face. That’s why I am grateful for all the family and friends who witness wedding ceremonies – they’re there to help support the marriage when it’s foundering.

Kate Hewitt wrote more than just Esther and Will’s relationship though. There were family dinners, lonesome walks, friends meeting at the pub, sibling love, the wisdom of a mother, the comfort of a father, and so much forgiveness … all in a little village around an old vicarage in a wonderful, delightful series.

Second in the series, A Vicarage Reunion by Kate Hewitt takes place in the English village of Thornthwaite. I loved this realistic women’s fiction story. Marriage is difficult, loss is difficult and in general there are heartbreaks along life’s journey. This book deals with all of that. It is a true second chance story for the two main characters.

Esther is the vicar’s daughter, so I imagine her life has been one of expectations. Time has come that Esther just can’t meet expectations especially her own and in her marriage. I found this a hopeful and refreshing look at starting over. Sometimes that is the only way to go forward. I don’t want to give too much away in this gem of a book but will say I couldn’t have been happier than I was with the conclusion. A Vicarage Reunion showcases why I love Katie Hewitt’s stories.

An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I received an advanced reader's copy. For reasons entirely unknown, I was expecting a British Cozy (fluffy murder mystery). Once I sorted myself out, I found the book to be short and sweet. It treats many serious issues quickly and lightly (a handful of therapy appointments, a handful of dates, a short talking-to by the main character's mother and voila.) I also think the treatment of the Lake District, farmer's life, and work involved in bringing about a community garden were similarly glossed over. The author writes well, but I was distracted by her "British accent." A few of her turns of phrase were forced, as if she was trying too hard to pepper her language with Britishisms, instead of relying on words or phrases more commonly used. (The number of times she used the word "AGA" could have made for a very entertaining drinking game). While I'm not so sure I would go back and read the first installment of the series, I might read the next book.

This Series gets better and better

The second book in the Holley sisters of Thornthwaite series was even better than the first book. I am so sold in author Kate Hewitt that I will be reading all the books in this series and looking for books from this author to see what else she has written. In this book we get to know Esther the sister that I call the stuck up one. But in reality she has a bit of a control issue going on with not just her family but all things and not does it cause issues in her marriage. Will her gentle sheep farmer husband is blindsided when she up and leaves him. Life of a Vicar's daughter is not all wine and roses. Nope. This book is so well written. Gotta tell you to make sure you have your Kleenex in hand. Can't wait for Rachel's book Hough what is this girl bidding or rather who is she hiding?

Esther had been married to Will for a long time and had always loved the fact that he doesn't show his emotions as that is how she had always been....... until she has a miscarriage and suddenly her emotions are very much to the fore! Feeling that there is nothing left for her she leaves Will and goes back to the vicarage with her parents but now it is Will's turn to show his emotions but he wants to go back to the beginning and woo her properly going on dates... will this work can they get the love back?

As always a great book from Kate Hewitt I love the characters and how they work things out and looking forward to the next one in the series

A Vicarage Reunion is a wonderful tale of a young couple who's marriage is rocked following a miscarriage. Unhappy and not knowing what to do Esther leaves Will and returns to her parent's home. Still unhappy but determined to restart her life. Esther finds herself exploring dating life with disastrous results. Then Will shows up demanding her to give him a second chance and he plans to show Esther just how special she is by courting her all over again.

This is a very well done book and I definitely recommend it.
