September and Shadow Thrillers Trilogy includes three entertaining adventures featuring a complicated heroine with a troubled past, a heroic service dog, autistic kids, and bad weather. There are definitely some sad moments in the books with senseless deaths that bothered me as well as some plot points that stretch believability. There are also questions left behind that may or may not be answered in future books. Overall these are good stories and worth reading/ listening to.

The audiobooks are narrated by the author who does a pretty decent job of it and gets better with each book.

Lost And Found (September Day Series, #1), my first read from author Amy Shojai. I was gifted an audio copy of Hide And Seek (September Day #2) and wanted to read this first. I'd got this back in March of 2017 and never got around to reading it. A well-written story from a very good author. December seemed to be my month for new authors, January & February & then March continued the trend, and now April. “I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I look forward to reading Hide And Seek (September Day #2) next.

This series was wonderful. I loved that we got the perspective from Shadow the boy’s dog and then as September’s dog, and as the good dog. This had everything I look for in a book. Great character development, relatable storyline and good editing. I will be reading more by this author. Highly recommend.

After reading the first book, I knew I needed to see it to the end I bought the three book trilogy and was glad I did. I read the three books back to back. Worth every minute of my time. It was non stop action and I couldnt put them down.

Who doesn't like to read about puppies and animals? I believe this series gets its appeal from our four-footed friends so I understand why it gets a 4 star, but for me it didn't go that far. It was a fun listen, with an interesting plot involving human trafficking and a puppy trainer. I have to say, though, I've never read a book where you get the dogs' point of view - which was done very well actually.

This is a good trilogy of mysteries. I read the audiobook. I think authors should never narrate their own fiction. The narration was done by the author, which was at best mostly mediocre and sometimes unintelligible.
