This volume is the start of the adventurer arc of this story. Fran and Master are grinding to get their levels and skills high and they are encountering different kinds of monsters. It's just amazing seeing a petite cat beast girl mowing down all those monsters with the sword.

Good overall story arch and amazing art as always. There is a lot to love in the second issue of this manga and it keeps drawing me back again and again. One of my absolute favorite series.

The interplay between Teacher and Fran is fairly interesting, and the author handles the other adventurers observing a teenage girl doing better than them quite well, as well as their slowly growing respect. There are a few over powered moments in this manga, but overall they are handled in such a way that it is realistic.

The isekai nature is also handled well, as always, as the protagonist is a sword and thus no longer has a gender, so while they appreciate beauty, they are not 'turned on' by nudity and the like, which I have to say I am thankful for in a series where it could have gone fan-servicey in a creepy way fairly fast.

All in all, I really enjoyed this volume and will continue to keep reading the manga and light novel.

Fran, Goblin Slayer

Being a G ranked Adventurer is boring but generally easy work as Fran does her best to gain more experience while ranking up with quests. However when she and Teacher comes across a party of adventurers like herself in a bind as a bunch of goblins attack them. Time to be less bored as she does what she does best and Teacher is ready to help. With he discovery of a new dungeon (dungeons get explained in the book) and the threat of a goblin stampede in the near future Fran joins others to handle the goblin threat before it gets out of hand. What more you might notice something ominous on the cover that will prove a challenge to the young adventurer so be sure to check out the action for yourself but don't forget to enjoy the less action oriented moments as well. :)

Fran and teacher start their quest to get her to level up as an adventurer and get to visit their first dungeon. I especially enjoyed the play on low level adventurer gathering of materials quests.
