Five Holy Hot Zandian Stars!

No doubt about it… the “Zandian Masters Series” is erotic science fiction romance at its finest. Renee Rose has developed a truly winning combination of incredible world building, well-developed characterizations and enough heat to incinerate e-readers across the galaxy. The rich descriptive text, original plots (with an overarching theme) and creative lead characters literally bring the various narratives to life. The “Zandian Masters Series” is one of the hottest, most imaginative alien romance series ever written. Each novel can be easily read as a standalone and features an entirely new couple, typically a Zandian male and human female. With each installment, the Zandian race (with a little help from some brave humans) comes one step closer to taking back their planet from both a conquering and cruel alien species.

“Zandian Pet” is the seventh installment in the series featuring another hot, dominant alien warrior and his chosen female. Diverging slightly from previous story lines “Zandian Pet” highlights the highly erotic connection between a Zandian male and Zandian female as well as their thrilling exploits. I can’t believe I’m on the 7th book of the series. I have been picking these up here and there when the mood fits.

I never really cared for Mina’s story but to my surprise this one started out pretty good. She’s a sex slave. She’s not that damaged and so the angst factor was low. Don’t worry she has plenty of baggage. Erick stumbles upon her and realizes who she is and wants to save her.

Mina is very determine to save herself and she has that “don’t need no man” attitude. It’s good and bad. It’s good because she is strong, it’s bad because it can be annoying.

Overall, it was an easy and decent read. Very steamy too!

Up until now, i hadn't heard nor read any books written by Renee Rose. Zandrian Pet is my first book by her and holy crap, it was something! I loved this book and loved how it was developed. Mind you, i have no idea what happened in the previous books and i never got the impression that i missed something vital - not hat i'm not going to read the previous books because after this book, my curiosity is more than a little piqued.

It was the kind of read that makes you forget that it's a paranormal/science fiction genre novel because there's always a reference to something real that allows you to connect with the characters - their vulnerability, insecurities, chemistry, their need to find themselves and even the constant questioning on whether their feelings are real or just a result of their circumstances. I'm more than hoping that this won't be my last from this author because one thing's for sure - she drew me in and absolutely sold me on her books.

4 1/2 star- This is an erotic Scifi romance and the romance and plot are actually really good to go along with hot domination submission sex. The very beginning has questionable consent. I got this as an ARC but wonder if all the grammar points will be fixed at a later time. If you are a grammar stickler and have a problem with little grammar errors throughout, this might not be for you. It is not high writing but it is fun and sexy and a quick read.

Mina was raised to be a pet since 8 or 9 years old. She is good at it and is disconnected from emotions involved. She was the daughter of a warrior and believes that if she ever gets the chance to escape, she will. She thinks it'll be soon as her original owner died and she is now in an open place with more opportunity.

The chance comes in the form of one of her own and with him, her emotions aren't disconnected. When she gets back to her own people, she realizes that she doesn't fit into the society and doesn't know what to do or who to be. She wants to leave her life from before behind but doesn't know how to move forward or in what direction to go. Erick and her have a chemistry but it smacks of her time in captivity and she wants to leave that part in the past too.

Erick wants to convince Mina that she can build a future and have one with him. He tries to keep what they did in the past but finds that it is part of their chemistry. This struggle for Mina to accept her past and future is where the romance is. They do this while Erick is fixing his problem of stolen ships that he has to find and reclaim so that they can go to war to save their planet.

I thought this one book 1 but realized that mistake when there were already a lot of couples. Really don't need it though the women and how their life is going doesn't interest me like it would someone into the series.

-------update 1/2 way----------------So far I'm really liking the book 1/2 way point. I hate what was done to Taramina but she seemed to compartmentalized the physical from the emotional, at least until Erick. Why? I can only assume it is some sort of Zandian pheromone plus his handling of her. Really in all that time as a sex slave no one bothered to pleasure her? Hmm...

I like that when she gets home she wants to put the past behind her and become someone new. Her emotions of course get in the way of completely breaking from the past.

So far a really good erotic scifi with a really plot though far fetched.

Okay addition to the Zandian Masters' series. Continues the ongoing story of the Zandian's trying to reclaim their home world from the evil Finn. You don't have to read the first books for this one to make sense. Lots of peeps from the previous books help out Taramina and Erick. This one just lacked some of the chemistry from the first book.

Renee Rose’s Zandian Masters series is now on its seventh book with Zandian Pet. This book features Master Seke’s second missing daughter, the only other Zandian female of breeding age. (I’ll insert here that breeding and babies kinda make me want to vomit. Sorry.) Mina is stuck in Prium’s Intergalactic lounge, aka a sex emporium. She has a blue fluffy tail stuck up her butt, and she is stuck behind a screen. Lucky for her, Zandian warrior Erick decides to stop in to relax. When he sees a Zandian female, he buys time with her. He also gets to punish her. (Because what kind of book would is be without a butt warming?)
Of course, Mina smartly gets ahold of some crystal and escapes, finding her way to the palatial pod. But it’s certainly not her last time running into Erick. And Mina, who now goes by Tara, (Her real name is Taramina.) has decided she’s much too bored just hanging out. She wants to see some action and help her fellow Zandians. You’ll most definitely want to see what she gets herself into. Of course, Erick decides to tag along. You’ll see why this series is so popular!

This was a fun addition to the Zandian series but it can definitely be read on its own. When Erich finds a brothel illegally keeping a Zandian captive as a sex pet, he knows he must do everything he can to free her. But once he actually sees her he not only wants to free her but also claim her for his own. While Taramina finds herself attracted to Erich, she is also conflicted about her own past and questions her desire to be mastered.
Filled with plenty of steamy scenes, this latest entry also introduces new characters for future books in the series. Can't wait to see what's next as the Zandians get closer to war and closer to regaining their freedom.

This was recommended to me and flagged as being on sale, so even though it's the most recent release, I read it first. There are 6 prior books with all of their characters, but I was able to piece together most of the history, so it didn't bother me.

Note that I later read book #1 and didn't like it very much, but this one was charming, in a "girl escapes and later rescues her man, who thanks her with a spanking" kind of way. There were some tense scenes where some of the women had to put it all on the line, and that was very well done.

These Zandians seem to learn very slowly, but they do catch on eventually. I haven't decided whether to read 2-6 yet.

This is my first Renee Rose book under the Warrior Romance books, and I have to say it is different. I have read plenty of other world romance stories and the other authors have always kept them close to "earth" standards. But Renee went opposite, she had different languages and such it was kind of a cool read. I enjoyed the storyline and the characters very much. It kept me entertained and guessing. Great story and since I have not read the others now I will go back and read them. I voluntarily read an advance reader copy for my honest review.

Love Renee Rose's Zandian world. This is a part of a series but can be read as a stand-alone. Female Zandians are rare since their planet was invaded and the citizens remaining are in hiding. The population is planning a war to take back their beloved planet. Erick a business warrior is on a buying trip for warships when he visits a sex emporium and discovers Taramina. She is a daughter of Seke who is the head Zandian warrior. Gutsy female with warrior blood makes for an enjoyable read. Warning this is a BDSM novel. Purple All The Way

I love reading the Zandian series. The males are oh so possessive, and their women are usually feisty and full of character. Add in the threat of war, a little drama, and a lot of vecking, and reading is a pleasure.

I was pleasantly surprised with this book. It contained a good amount of suspense and character development even though it was a fast read.

I jumped into the middle of this series and had no issue keeping track of the plot or people. I liked that the characters were diverse and that there were Dominant Female traits and Submissive. It was an intriguing concept. I also liked that the female struggled internally with herself and her past and ultimately came to her own realizations about her trauma, and dealt with it.

I loved that she stood up for her choice and that she protected her mate and that he was capable of letting her even though it went against his grain. He was a strong enough person that what happened to her didn't mean that he covered her in wool and kept her safe. he balanced her needs with her safety.

I liked the steamy side of the book as well. Scenes were scorching and intense. I will be reading more from this author.

This is a well written, steamy and fun (though not funny) read, that captured and held my attention throughout. I absolutely loved both main characters in this story, they were so well written and had real depth to them. The book is written third person, but alternately focuses on both Taramina and Erick including their thoughts and feelings. I liked this as I felt I got to 'know' both of them really well.

Taramina is a feisty and strong heroine, Erick is a dominant alpha hero but who shows huge respect for Mina. Their chemistry is super hot and the sex scenes involve plenty of spanking. Mina enjoys this but struggles at times with that fact.

The plot has a good mix of action, angst and lust/love. The pace of the story was fast enough to hold my interest without it feeling rushed. I read the book in one sitting and thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish.

Our heroine Mina has been a sex "pet" in a brothel her whole life and she is a pure Zandian female who has never met a Zandian male until Erick, a bit of a brothel purveyor, sets foot in one to relieve his breeding cycle itch. I enjoyed both characters, they were some of the most fun out of the series so far.

I really enjoyed that the heroine said things like 'she didn't want to be docile like Lamira and Lamira's mother) - heroines from past books that were fairly weak and much more submissive both in and out of the bedroom. She wants to be a warrior like Lily (enjoyed Lily's story in Book 2).

However she does sex-shame herself a lot in this book which got a bit tiresome as a plot point by the end of the book. She hides her life as a slave from the Zandians other than Erick and then when she does bring it up, doesn't like the consequences and doesn't deal with it well. But I did enjoy the back and forth with her and Erick and how she didn't want to let him into her life because she wanted to find her own first. She really was the most developed character female character in that way so far. On the negative side - these books are so short, this wasn't able to really be fleshed out enough.

The other thing is that there is a lot of conversation about consent in this book and how because she is a pet in a brothel her first exchange with the hero is not pure consent and he feels guilt about that. (He was not going to have sex with her but she undresses him btw).

As someone who just read most of the other books in this series, this consent conversation was confusing to me. Zander punches Erick (the hero) when he tells him about the encounter not being consensual. Zander who purchased a sex SLAVE in his BOOK (Book 1 in the series is a forced breeding book) tied her up and forced her (NOT CONSENSUAL) in their first sex scene? Who's "mate" still wears a slave collar? But apparently in his case it's fine because she's a human but the heroine of this story, Mina, is Zandian so it is not fine?

I've had issues with the fact that Lamira still wears a collar and is not really Zanders mate/equal ever since book 1, but this really confused me. Also with the female Zandians showing up, it sort of is silly that the Zandians are mixing with humans who they clearly still consider beneath them even when they mate them. And if that is the case, the heir to the throne shouldn't be half human.

I'm thinking too much about a silly alien erotica I know. Also aren't any intimate moments ever non punishment related and tender/slow?

Overall, I did enjoy this book. I just found the change in the consent conversation suddenly very confusing. Humans get no consent, but Zandians are far superior so they do I guess? It's as simple as that I suppose! the reason this bothers me, is that Zander's relationship doesn't feel HEA to me from book 1. It still feels like she's just there for breeding, that she isn't his mate. I hate that she still wears a collar. This is also made clear with how much it bothers Mina to have to put one back on in this book after she stops being a sex slave.

I wish this series was more consistent with how the males acted with their mates no matter what species, so that is why this series has never gotten higher than a 3 star from me. That and these stories are so short you don't get a lot of emotional depth. I think this book should have been longer with more character arc/growth.

This latest addition to Rose’s Zandian series is one of its best. The heroine, Mina, is a rare Zandian female, but after she escaped the capture of her homeworld as a child, she’s grown up only to become a sex slave. Erick, a Zandian lord who is their major dealmaker as the Zandians plan to retake their homeworld, encounters Mina in a brothel when he’s pursuing a deal gone wrong. And while he recognizes Mina right away, her first encounter with a male of her species is memorable in more ways than one....

Rose outdoes herself in this installment of the Zandian Masters series, because sex is the theme of the book and the mechanism by which events happen. Despite being a sex slave, Mina has an amazing amount of agency. Just when you think it’s the man’s job to save her, she engineers things to save herself. But Rose does more than that. While sex becomes the means of connection and growth in the relationship between Erick and Mina, Rose also examines what sex can mean, from merely mechanical and practical to emotional, and also how it can serve as a means of defining oneself. The challenges that Mina faces as she has to accept what she’s been and what she wants to be are impressive, and seeing her evolution and change in her view of herself is one of the best parts of this book.

Mina’s sex-slave history also becomes a tool in Erick’s situation of rectifying his bad deal, and Erick also faces challenges in having to allow Mina her chance to grow despite the natural tendency of Zandian males to be dominant in the relationship. The overall story of the Zandian return to their homeworld advances nicely in this story, and we see hints back to past couples and actions as well as what the future of the Zandians might hold.

I love it when a romance like this takes the time to examine the nature of something like what sex can mean for someone like Mina, who’s been forced to treat it like a job, and for Erick, who has to deal with his guilt combined with his desire. It’s a great book in a really enjoyable series.

Now he must face his king and tell him he lost not only the battle cruisers they were counting on but also found one Seke's daughters and lost her as well.

When he arrives at the Palatial Pod it is to the news that Zeke's daughter has returned, but she refuses to acknowledge Erick or her past even though she craves his touch. When Erick helps her find her footing in this new world to her their adventure only just begins. Because although Mina craves his dominance, Teramina is a warrior through and through and devises a dangerous plan to reclaim the stolen ships. Erick must let her try or loose her forever.

Action and adventure await the reader of this fast moving alien romance. Thrills and chills will tingle up and down your spine as you read this, the 7th book in the Zandian series. It can be read as a stand alone book with little difficulty to the reader, but be advised, you will quickly want to read the entire series. Luckily they are available on Kindle Unlimited.

I’ve been meaning to read more books that I actually have in the new year instead of just trolling for books on Amazon that I don’t have. I’ve been stuck for a few days looking for something to read, but just not being able to land on a book and then stick with it. I was trying again when I saw Zandian Pet, something I had completely forgotten that I had and I decided to check it out. I only got a little bit in before I felt like I could continue on. Of course, like 10-15 minutes later, I was thinking of abandoning it already. That had absolutely nothing to do with the book, I had to stop reading it to do something else and when I thought about getting back to it, I got all wishy-washy on myself which happens annoyingly more than it should.

You might be wondering if I was keen on putting it down, then how am writing this review? It’s simply because this book refused to let me stop reading it that first time and then there was another time where I was worried there might be some angst I didn’t want to deal with and I almost stepped away once more, but I just didn’t/couldn’t stop reading. I don’t know if it was partially because I knew this book wasn’t very long, I think that did help a little bit, but I think it was mostly due to Erick and Mina. I loved them both and I loved their chemistry and dynamic. Mina was so full of life and passion and she had struggles, understandably so, and Erick sometimes wrestled with things Mina wanted to do, but ultimately supported her as he knew it was what she needed.

There was a lot of steamy scenes in Zandian Pet and I loved every one of them! They were hot and while sometimes, even I reach my limit after while, I didn’t feel that here. I think it was because Erick and Mina connect so much through those moments and it allowed them to be vulnerable with each other. Zandian Pet was a great romp and a fun time and I definitely want to read more of this series!

Erick is a tough master, just like all Zandian Warriors. They are all into BDSM, and although they are tough on their women, the women like it all. This is a stand alone book, but part of the Zandian Masters🐺🍆🌋🔪🔫✋ series.
The entire book is well written and executed. It flows naturally from one scene to the next, and I just couldn't put it down! I am looking forward to the next book

Here we have a new addition to the Zandian world. This one may be the best yet. Erick and Taramina are my new favorite couple.

When Zandia was invaded, Taramina was spirited away, but the ship she was on crashed and she was sold into slavery. She was first treated as a pet by her master and ordered to do whatever he wanted her to do. After he died, she was sold to a brothel, where her life didn't really change all that much. She was still a pet and still ordered to do whoever and whatever the owner told her to.

Master Erick is one of Prince Zander's most trusted men. He's the one who has made sure that the Zandians have all the money that they need to have for their plans. When an investment goes wrong, he goes to a brothel to help settle his nerves. That's when he sees Taramina, who is one of only 3 Zandian women of breeding age. He starts thinking of her as his woman almost immediately.

Taramina is a lot stronger than anyone expects her to be, and I really like it. She's also trying to figure out if she is still Mina, like she was when she was a pet, or Tara, which is who she was before. I really liked watching that and watching her come into her own. Erick, while being possessive and dominant, is willing to walk away a little bit and let Taramina do her thing, including fighting for her to be able to do what she wanted.

While you could read this as a stand-alone, if you really, really wanted to, it's best if you read it in order, because you will understand everything better.

Seke's oldest daughter is found

Taramina is Sekes' oldest daughter. She was taken to Aurelia as a house pet for a rich man after the ship her and her sister were on crashed. A house pet is a trained sex slave. She was brought out to entertain her master's friends and do whatever was asked of her. When he died she was auctioned to a brothel.
Erick was having a bad day. They galactacruisers he was supposed to get was stolen from the manufacturer. So he was out the cruisers plus the first half of the payment for them. He stopped by the brothel because his mind was clouded because it was Zandian breeding season. He needed relief do he could think and decide what to do about the ships.
He was shown Mina by the brothel owner because they were the same species. Mina had to stay behind a laser glass so that everyone could see her. Nothing she did was private. Erick went in the cage to try to secretly rescue her but his need for sex took over.
Once she escaped she had a hard time integrating who she really was then with who she is now. Especially when she hid her true circumstances from everyone but Erick.
Read to find out how she escaped, how they got the ships back and if her family accepted the real Mina.
There is plenty of discipline involving spankings and a lot of sex. If BDSM and erotic books are not for you, don't read this book. But if you enjoy hot pleasure with a little pain thrown your way then this is a definite read. In fact, read all the books in this series if your looking for hot, sexy, alien BDSM.

These two get 3 Stars.

This book has an interesting backstory that is slowly told through all the books but still understandable if you start in the middle of the series (like me).

The characters where sadly a bit.... Two dimensional. They liked each other sure. But they started a life long relationship without knowing anything about each other except what they like in the bedroom.

Minas character I could understand. She lived for years in slavery and wanted to forget that so she cut ties with every reminder of her past. Sadly till the end there wasn't really any growth to that. She would tell him to get lost. They can't stay away from each other and do it again and she tells him to get lost again.
The mission she went to was a blessing cause it showed her she wasn't over the abuse she suffered. But honestly she needs a therapist.

Her love interest isn't much better. A guy in high regards of the future king (who refuses to be called king till they get there homeplanet back) is abusing her (and yes that's what he did even if she liked it) and does it over and over again just to get cold feet and back up after, when she tells him to leave. Instead of this repeating loop, he could have actually helped her with her past and not let her suffer these things alone.


I know this sounds a bit harsh and this is a nice book for inbetween when you don't want to think about the plot to much. It has it strong moments too. But I won't continue this series.

Renee Rose has very quickly become my favourite romance author. She was the first author I read in this genre and I still love every one of her books that I pick up. I have read another one of her "Zandian Masters" books and boy did I love it. So when I saw Zandian Pet I just had to request it. And Renee Rose did not disappoint.

This book is exciting in all the best ways. Daring escapes, a dangerous mission and of course a handsome powerful Zandian male. Like most of Rose's books Zandian Pet is short, easy to read and never has a dull moment.

Mina being one of three breedable Zandian women makes her a precious commodity. She was an interesting character, sassy and independent. She surprised me every now and then, taking command and showing just how far she is willing to go to protect those around her. She was exotic and her past as a sex slave just made the book that much more exciting.

On the surface Erick is strong and handsome, but under it he has a protective, caring nature. He was the perfect mix of erotic and endearing. Rose once again created another great, tantalizing, dominating, sexy Zandian male.

For anyone who has not yet picked up on it, this book does includes elements of BDSM. So be warned. But for those who are intrigued, I definitely recommend reading this book, and for good measure read all of Renee Rose's other books too.

I LOVED this story! I'm a huge fan of Renee Rose, but this is probably my favorite story yet. I didn't just read this one, I devoured it. I couldn't read it fast enough and I growled at my child when he had the nerve to ask for food while I was in the middle of a really steamy part. I recommend you read this when you won't have any distractions, so you can avoid having to apologize to your child. Now that you understand how much I loved this one I'll try to explain why without saying anything about the plot.

Mina is done rolling over and taking it. She is a survivor, and is willing to do whatever it takes to continue surviving. She is feisty and strong, but she is also submissive, so that adds a wonderful layer to her personality. Erick meets Mina while she is working in a brothel, and that's when things take off.

Ok, so the plot is amazing in this one. There is so much action and excitement. There is also the spicy kink and sexiness that Renee Rose does so well. The characters are interesting, the love story is touching, there are cameos of characters from the previous books (YAY), and the perfect HEA. This is a wonderful, amazing, can't-put-down story, and I loved every second of it!

Tara or Mina, Taramina and Erick...

Taramina is the oldest daughter of Seke who was a pet slave, conditioned and serviced as sex slave, that was found in a sex brothel when Erick made his stop there for relief during Zandian breeding season. Erick was offered to have his time with her and all the while he was thinking to buy her off to bring her home and she planned to escape, and escape she did. This lead into one thing after another. They are a match made by the stars, I loved their instant connection even though Taramina tried to differentiate her old live to her new life with the Zandian pod.... Was she Mina, the pet slave warrior fallen in love with Erick or was she Tara, who was meant to be as Zandian society expected her to be if she had been with them all along?

I gave this book #7 my 4 cups of steaming java, ☕☕☕☕ as deserved for well written flowing story with exciting actions. I look forward to book #8, story of Eslyn and her 3 new masters to train and master her reconditioning back into Zandian society as her punishment for what she allowed and wanted to happen with Talia, the younger missing daughter of Seke.

The movement of the Zandian warriors toward the battle with the Finn. Erick and Mina's attraction was intense, and instantaneous. If a lot of sex and some spanking offend you, take a pass on this book.

Mina/Tara was strong and independent. Although she struggled with figuring out who she was, she knew that she did not want to be known in only one way.

Erick wanted her to understand that he wanted all of her, and he accepted what she had to do to survive. It didn't matter to him. I also liked that while both were Zandian, their first thought was not to breed, but to fight and take back their planet.

This was a fast read that can be read as a standalone. It moved so quickly, I had to make sure that I hadn't missed something. I feel like some of the earlier books had more detail in them. You will probably enjoy this book more by reading some of the previous books, but it is definitely not necessary.
