In this funny and lighthearted book by twentysomethings Freitas and King, the authors present a positive view of dating, showing young people how dating can be a spiritual path that promotes maturity and growth.
It was better than most Christian dating books because it went further than simply repeating "chastity, chastity, chastity" over and over again. Of course, be chaste but there's so much more to it than that!
The problem here was the second author who really wasn't Christian at all and said things that could potentially be confusing or scandalous to the unchatecized, or just make a typical Christian roll their eyes. For example, there is a section about how maybe Christianity will one day change and recognize same-sex unions as being holy. There was also a statement about how sex might be ok before marriage.
The sections by Jason were really good, so it becomes a chore to figure out when he is writing and when he isn't. He wrote a pamphlet for the Knights of Columbus about dating that I wound up finding more useful than this book.
