USA Today Bestselling Author, Lexy Timms, delivers a beautiful tale about a young man who finds love in the least expected place.
I loved this man with every fiber of my being and with every atom that vibrated to bring my body to life.
Bryan McBride is a disappointment to his parents. Doesn’t matter he’s a successful architect and that in his spare time he builds homes for the homeless. His tattoos disrespect his family name, his business partner is too blue collar, too surfer, and Bryan’s brother—who the family never talks about—died from a drug overdose.
Bryan’s passion for art is rekindled when Hailey Ryan comes into town to open a gallery. Without funds to pay for the construction of the gallery, Bryan offers to work in exchange for some of her artwork.
He’s caught off guard by the strong attraction he has to her. It’s the perfect distraction from the issues in his life he wants to avoid. Except secrets have a way of revealing themselves.
As they begin a passionate love affair, a secret Hailey is keeping threatens to ruin their relationship and possibly their lives.
Fans of Nicholas Sparks will love this sweet-with-heat love story EVERY TIME.
The Brush of Love Series: Every Night Every Day Every Time
I loved the premise, but the execution was weak. The switch in POVs happened frequently. It took away from the story. I knew what everyone was thinking at all times. Not a fan. The writing felt wordy and dry to me. I really never fully connected to the story or characters. Plus the heroine's secret that she held from the hero dragged. The hero did not find out the heroine and hero's brother's connection until the last few pages of the story. I thought it was going to be a bigger deal than it was. Not sure where all the five star reviews came from. My opinion.
I see a lot of ARCs.
The characters had an immediate connection, but not quick to have sex which was a plus for me.
You may love it, but I found myself skimming.
It ends on a cliffhanger. I love cliffhangers, but the ending was so predictable. Blah. Book 2 is $3.74.
You may love it. Reading is subjective.

How can one little lie cause so many people heart ache and pain. But in reality it was more than one little lie… it was pride, prejudice, love, heartbreak, goods and evil all playing parts in this start of a happily ever after. But it ended without a conclusion which is one thing I struggle with when reading a book. However the story had a compelling underlying message that is strong.
Bryan is a strong, sexy alpha who has a heart for the down trodden and overlooked. Hailey is a sensitive woman who sees life and people with compassion and worth. Both are individuals who desire to get and see beauty others often overlook. Their story begins when Bryan is having his annual tribute to his brother who died. Hailey is in the bar and witnessed the tribute , why? Bryan sees a beautiful woman who intrigues him to no end. Hailey sees the handsome man and wants to paint him and his tattoos. Their paths cross again and the sparks fly. Each finds they have much in common in addition to their attractions. However, Hailey has a secret that can blow what they are building up with a colossal bang. What will Bryan do when he discovers Hailey knew someone close to him in her past? Great read from a great author...you can easily fall in love with them because of the way and words that draw you into this story... I am on my way to part 2 and I can't wait...
WOW what an emotional roller coaster read....... Bryan is overcome with grief from his brother John's death two years on, John was homeless due to being a drug addict and Bryan's parents refuse to acknowledge his brother's life or death like he never existed. Bryan makes it his policy to employ homeless people on his construction job sites and help them get back on their feet. Hailey is an artist who buys an old building in a run down part of town and needs to start renovating it so she can create her art gallery dream. She wants to use art therapy to help the disadvantaged and homeless. Hailey meets Bryan but soon realises she knew his brother and was with him when he died but she can't tell him........... This is an ongoing trilogy be warned you will need to get the second asap.......
Wow this book took through what life is like losing a person so important to you that you aren't sure if you can even go on. The rare emotions drew you I fast and hard. It's like wow, never saw that coming or oh my yes this is just what I needed to say or finally having love again. Hailey is just that person, kind, caring, loving and free. Everyone wants to be that kind of human. Then we have Bryan, who lost his best friend and brother but never knew exactly happened. Throughout the story we get hits but not until the end do we get the truth. I can't wait to see what book 2 brings us. Amazing, pure and powerful. 5 stars. I voluntarily reviewed this book.
First things first. This book ends in a cliffhanger and the blurb did not, at the time I bought the book, say that. It might now, I don't know. I don't want to go find out.
This is a part of a series, as such there is no real ending to this story until you get to the end of the series. I don't have the patience for a series of books unless they are extremely well written, then you'll see me breeze through all of them. I cannot say that about this book.
This book was just okay. It read like a soap opera so I'm assuming the rest of the books in the series will also. I'm not sorry I picked it up, but I wish I hadn't.
The plot and storyline moved quickly, but I found it hard to stay focused due to the many editing errors. I think the book could’ve benefited from a basic spelling and grammar check.
Hailey, an artist, moves to a new town to escape her past and heal. She plans to open an art gallery and therapy space in a less affluent part of town. She meets Bryan, the owner of a construction company, and the brother of a former therapy client. Bryan has demons of his own. As they become close, Bryan realizes Hailey knew his brother and the truth of her past comes forward.
This is a really good story, it is very well written. It is very emotion and pulls the heartstrings. Bryan is so fragile, his grief is crippling his ability to be happy, it finally opens his heart to Hailey. Hailey is his match actually her compassion for the less fortunate, matches his and well as their relate-able parent issues. Telling lies never pays off, big or small, now you playing a guessing game of when it will be realized. As with all games, lies will crumble the cookie and eventually cause you to lose. The ending is very dramatic and not necessarily happy but revealing instead.
I absolutely hate how this book ends. Reading this story was an emotional rollercoaster and then the abrupt ending was just a bit too much. Bryan was a privileged, emotional mess who should have been receiving professional help for his depression following his brother's death. His entire family was already dysfunctional and here he gets involved with a "free spirit". More emotional agitator him to deal with after he was struggling to deal with what he had so far. I think I was expecting the explosion but when it came it was unnecessarily brutal. Bryan need to grow the f*#k up.
If I could give it a half star I would give it 4 1/2
This book is good with the twist and turns of the troubled within the main characters families and the secrets. The troubles in their families, some people can relate to now a days, I am glad that they are somewhat going outside of things and doing their own thing and following their dreams in their way. I wish there was more to their relationship but I guess I will need to read more to the series to find out more of what will truly happen with them!
Okay. So. I was looking for a short book to read and didn’t do my usual page #/series check and accidentally started reading this. I loved it. It was a little slow at times and I did think that she was going to tell him sooner but about 2/3 into the story I realized that the story was going to take more than one book. The ending broke my heart a little but I’m looking forward to what happens next.
If this book were a complete novel in itself, I would probably give it a 5-star rating despite the occasional grammatical error (e.g., "pedal" is not the same as "peddle"). Regardless, the writing is beautifully descriptive without devolving into information dumps and lots of unnecessary adverbs. It's sensuous and lush, emotional and raw. But I loathe cliffhangers and feel duped.
This was nice. This was sweet, a little better than any old generic NA but it was a little drab and I don't see myself remembering it a few months down the line. Plus the sex scenes confused me on a fundamental level. Did she come or not? Why are the words pelvis and cascaded used so frequently? I don't know and I don't think I'll find out since I probably won't read this series' next book, even though this one ended on a cliffhanger.
Oh ...my... gosh... I’m in love with this storyline and just when things are getting good... BOOM! Cliffhanger... got to wait for the next book. Insert growling and hair pulling. Bryan is a tattooed, hard working guy with a heart for the homeless who he employs through construction, Hailey is an upcoming art gallery owner who is looking for someone to help renovate her new building. Both have dark secrets, but can they let the light in and learn from the past.
This book has potential. I like the premise, not so much the execution. It just keeps retelling the same old cycle. It seems the author wanted to make this a 3 part series so had to draw out the book to do so. I don’t need to keep rereading the same information every other chapter. And the secret Hailey kept dragged on too long, I’m sure just so we could have endless chapters of her guilt. Like I said, the book and storyline had potential, it just wasn’t executed.
A well written emotional story with amazing characters that will pull at your heartstrings. I absolutely loved this book and can’t wait to find out what happens next for Bryan and Hailey. The ending was so hard for me to read, definitely not an HEA. I voluntarily received this book to review for my honest opinion.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
I'm really enjoying Lexy Timms's writing style, this is another book that once you pick it up, you won't put it down until you finish. Its such a unique storyline that, that captures your attention straight away. I enjoyed it and look forward to read the next book.
This is a wonderful book. It puts you through every emotion you have and then some. I love every book I have had the pleasure of reading by Me. Lexy Timms she is fast becoming one of my favorite authors. So do yourself a favor and grab some of her wonderful books and this is a perfect series to start with.
This was an excellent book. So well written, it drew me in. Hailey and Brian are both dealing with loss and together find solace. Hailey has a secret though, and when Brian finds out, he cant deal. I didn’t know the book was the first in a series, and usually, I don’t care enough to buy the next book, but this time I will.
This was a darker book then I usually read. He is a contractor & she is trying to open an Art Gallery. But, through the whole book his brother who died of an overdose is in both their thoughts. He has tattoos all over him and she has lavender or purple hair. Plus, they both have parents that are upper class snobs! Very interesting and of course, well written by Lexy . I would recommend it.
Wow! Absolutely loved it. Captivating, very interesting, and emotional read. I was blown away, I could not put it down. Wonderfully written with strong characters. I want to read more from this author. I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This book was so good it hurt. And at the end you just want to cry. These two weren’t meant for each other but he can’t forgive and she poor thing needs him.
I forgot how much I love Lexy Timms! She's an incredible writer and her stories are so well put together. I own quite a few of her books and look forward to reading them.😊
I should have put this book aside but I was really trying to fine out a chance. I hated that Hailey keeps lying though the whole story. Then I really hated it when I get to the end of the book to find it is a 3 part series that really isn't a stand alone.
I didn't know the series was about the same couple until after I started it. I got the first to books for free. I'm just don't think I like this book enough to buy the last 2 so I can finish the story.
I really enjoyed this book. Hayley is a free spirit who comes to town to fulfil her dream. She never expected to meet the man of her dreams but there is a last there that she is hiding.
